Naruto along with his digimon partners were saying their goodbyes as they set off to find and guard the puffball known as Calumon aka the Light of Digivolution but they didn't know that…yet. As they were saying their goodbyes to their mates except for Katsumi since she was back in the seal, Azulongmon and Ebonwumon approached the group "Naruto-kun, it's time for you to begin your quest are you ready?" asked the sovereign of the north. Naruto along with Flamemon and Strabimon turned their attention to the digimon leaders.

"Hai, Ebonwumon-jiji, we're ready" Naruto said getting nods from his digimon partners.

"Very good, also there is a side-quest to what you've been asked to do" Azulongmon said getting the tamer-digimon attention.

"Side-quest?" asked Strabimon.

"Yes, you see there are tamers in the human world and we would like it if you discovered the identities of these tamers and to evaluate them if they're either potential allies, or a flight-risk" Ebonwumon said getting their attention.

"What do we do if these tamers happen to be a flight-risk?" Flamemon asked fearing the answer.

"If the tamer is a flight-risk, then you must sever their bond forever before the digimon goes through a dark Digivolution and harms any innocent humans and digimon alike" the east sovereign said getting a grim look from the trio in knowing what he meant by severing the bond between digimon and tamer, hoping it'll never come to that. Then before anything could be said, a digignome appeared shocking everyone as the last time a digignome was seen was when they help him acquire any and all information and scroll needed to train during his time in the digital world. The glowing creature then landed on Naruto's shoulder and stared at him as if communication via telepath.

"Hold out you digivice young tamer" spoke the digignome to the blonde.

Naruto then pulled out his digivices "Like this?" he asked. Then before anything could be said, the digignomes' antenna extended to the digivices causing it to glow and change its form. When the glowing diminished what Naruto was holding was a completely new digivices; it was rectangular in shape, reminding Naruto of a microphone of sorts. It had a blue screen in the center of the larger half and two buttons on the top. Everyone was confused as to what it could be, and then the digignome giggled at their reactions.

"That is a Xros Loader, with it you have an unlimited access to the Digivolution network, and also with it you're now a general with the ability to store any and all digimon in your army at one time, so if you wish to take anyone else with you then you're free to do so" the digignome said getting a wide eye look from not only Naruto, but from every digimon even the sovereigns this made the digignome giggle even harder.

"So, I can bring Ophani-chan and Lilith-chan with me?" he asked much to the dismay of his tenant, but Katsumi got over it because the foursomes they had with Naruto were always the best.

"Of course, in fact you can also bring your partner's mates with you" the digignome added.

"Awesome/ Perfect" the fire/light duo said happy that their mates are coming along for the ride. The female digimon present squealed in knowing that they get to tag along with their mates.

"Alright then…" Naruto said as he pointed the Xros Loader at the digimon.

"Download Lilithmon, Ophanimon, Lillymon, Lilamon, Kazemon, Pajiramon, Antylamon, and Ranamon" he said as the digimon were converted into data and pulled into the digivices.

"Woah, now I see what you meant by carrying an army, this thing is great, thank you digignome" he said forever grateful for the help the digignome provide for him over the years up until now.

"It is my pleasure to aid one of the chosen children in their quest to help save the digital world and maybe one day both human and digimon can coexist with one another" the digignome said before flying off to join its flock leaving the group behind.

Naruto then looked at his new and improved digivices and noticed the screen light up showing Ophanimon "Ophani-chan, how does it feel in there?" he asked concerned about the digimon who were currently stored in the xros loader.

"It's fine Naru-kun, in fact we're all doing ok, so don't worry" the holy digimon said as the blonde nodded agreeing with his digi-lover.

"Alright Ebonwu-jiji, Azulong-jiji we're ready to head to the human world" Naruto said as both he and his partners were eager to head to the human world to begin their mission despite having to play babysitter to a walking talking creampuff.

The two sovereigns nodded as Ebonwumon summoned a data stream "This data stream should take you to where Calumon was last seen, remember the faith of our worlds now lies with you and your partners, young one" The North Sovereign said having complete faith in the boy and his digimon partners.

"Good luck Naruto, Flamemon and Strabimon and if I may borrow a quote 'may the force be with you'" said Azulongmon wishing the group a safe journey.

"We will" the three said as they ran into the data stream and off to their new adventure…

HYPNO

In a secret government building located in Shinjuku three people were watching the monitors around them keeping an eye out for any signs of digital activity. They're a secret government funded organization called Hypnos and their primary objective was that the 'digital threats' didn't become a threat and remained a secret to the public. They spent most of their time monitoring the web for any digimon that tried to cross over to the real world and put a stop to it before it bioemerges.

"Sir, I'm picking up a rather strong reading along with two weaker ones it appears that they're trying to bioemerge" one of the women said. Her eyes covered by googles with short brown hair as she tapped away at her key board. She and another woman were seated back to back in their chairs as they were suspended in midair as they tried to stop whatever was trying to come over to the human world.

"Two of them carry a familiar data pattern, but the third one's data seems different from the rest though" said one of the women.

'Click'

"It doesn't matter; a bug is still a bug no matter how different it may look from the rest. Place a tracker on the strongest one and destroy it, we can't let any of those abominations to come into the human world" said a blonde man as he answered his irritation with the situation clearly evident in his tone of voice as he opened and closed the lighter in his hand.

"We tried, but we can't something is interfering with the system, it would appear that the stronger one has cast a barrier protecting it. At this rate we can't get a lock on them and they're going to bioemerge soon" the other woman said, however unlike her coworker, her hair was long and had a slight reddish tint to it. She quickly typed away at her keyboard in hopes to the three digimon from bioemerging, but apparently luck wasn't on her side today.

"It's about to bioemerge in 5…4…3…3…2…1 that's it. It… no they've crossed over into our world" she said in a defeated tone.

Scowling the blonde turned to prepare for when the group of digimon that just emerged to cause trouble, so he could stop it before it gets out of hand and delete the packs of data that dare come over to the human world and infest it like a plague.

'Soon… no more of those pests will ever be able to cross into our world. I just need more time to finish 'Project: Juggernaut''.

Shinjuku, Park

In another part of Shinjuku a digital field had begun to dissipate as Naruto, Flamemon and Strabimon walked out of the field "Woo what a ride" said Flamemon who fist bumped the air.

"I know what mean brother, but now is neither the time nor the place… Naruto-san, do you have any information of our current location?" asked Strabimon.

Naruto then pulled out his Xros Loader and activated its computer function to determine his current location "hmm… it says here that we're currently located in Shinjuku, Japan which sits on the North quadrant of the Digital World" Naruto said informing his digimon partners.

"Ok, now that we know where we are… We must acquire a location to call home/base and then from there Naruto-san will have to enroll in a school to hide while at the same time search for our main objective" informed Strabimon getting a wide eye look from Naruto and Flamemon.

"SCHOOL!?" yelled Flamemon and Naruto.

"Yes, while we're here, it's important to gather information of this world and to not raise any suspicion as to why someone of your age isn't in school Naruto-san. Also, Ebonwumon took the liberty to create your identity for your stay here in the human world, be thankful that he thought of this before sending us off, or we and I mean you would be screwed" Strabimon said to Naruto who wanted to argue, but knew that his wolf like partner was right.

"Sigh… very well and who knows maybe this time school won't be such a drag after all…. Wow I sounded like Shikamaru there" he said.

"I do not know what this Shikamaru is… but it sounds like it has no life" said Flamemon.

"Given the fact that he's the laziest person I know and probably being dead would be too much work even for him…. That sounds about right" Naruto said knowing full well that Shikamaru would see dying as too much work.

Konoha

In the Hokage Tower a familiar pineapple head was doing paper work when he sneezed. His assistant looked at the Nanadaime hokage "Is something the matter?" his assistant asked.

"I don't know, but thinking about it is a drag" he said as he looked at the mountains of paperwork on his desk.

'Sigh…. Sometimes I wish I were dead…. Too much work though.'

Shinjuku, Japan; park

Before any of three could say anything, his Xros Loader began beeping letting him and his partners that someone was coming and that someone… wasn't alone.

"You feel that brother?" asked Strabimon.

"Yeah… a digimon" Flamemon said as he got ready for a fight.

Before Naruto could ask, someone had entered the clearing where they stood. From what he and his digimon partners could tell, was it was a girl somewhere around his age with red hair tied up in a ponytail similar to Shikamaru, with blonde highlights. She wore a short sleeved white shirt with blue sleeves and a broken heart on her chest. A regular pair of jeans with a couple of belts one around her waist and the other her thigh, red wrist bands, with what appeared to be red steel toe shoes, and finally a card holster and D-arc that was mostly white with blue ring, buttons, and strap.

'Oh great… not 5 minutes in this world and already a tamer is here to greet me…. Sigh ok let's see what I'll be working with here…. Hmmm by her appearance she's definitely a tomboy if I'd ever seen one' Naruto thought as he looked at the girl with disinterest not wanting to deal with this especially after coming here.

With Rika

For one Rika Nonaka this was a good day, maybe even a great day. It's been a few months since she won the Digimon TCG regional tournament, got her D-arc, thus becoming a tamer with Renamon as her partner. That is where all good things must come to an end. Since then, she had her partner fight all the digimon that came across and when she defeated them, had Renamon load their data so she could become stronger and digivolve. However, for whatever reason, Renamon hadn't digivolved yet and it pissed her off. This was something she wouldn't accept, she was the best and as such expected nothing but the best out of her digimon partner, so when a digital field erupted one after another and in the same location, she saw this as the perfect opportunity for Renamon to finally digivolve.

Pulling out her D-arc she looked around and found her intended targets, but what she didn't expect was a human with the digimon "what the hell?" she asked.

Third P.O.V

Rika stared at our blonde hero, but what got her attention were the two digimon flanking him. She moved her D-arc and scanned the two digimon "Flamemon a rookie Demon man type digimon, attribute variable whatever that means… attacks are Baby Salamander and Flame Tail…. The next one is Strabimon another rookie being a wizard type digimon, same attribute as Flamemon attacks are Darkness hand and Licht Bein. I was expecting more, but a fight is a fight… Renamon walk all over them" Rika ordered, not caring that someone was in her way.

"But Rika there is a human in the way…" Renamon said not wanting to harm what appeared to be a bystander.

"It makes no difference..." Rika said in an uncaring tone, but was cut off when one of the two digimon spoke.

"Whoa… this one is a flight risk wouldn't you agree bro?" Flamemon asked Strabimon.

"Hmmm… not caring if someone was caught in the middle even if that human is our partner…. I don't know why she was chosen to be a tamer, but yes she is a flight risk" Strabimon said.

"Hmm… so tell me Renamon if it meant killing an innocent bystander, would you still listen to your tamers orders?" Naruto asked as he pulled out his Xros Loader. At this Renamon froze as if she was being judged by someone stronger than her and from what she could sense, the human before her was stronger than the two digimon before her. The two digimon from what she could sense was that they were suppressing their power, but the human was flashing his power and if she was being honest, it was like being in the presence of a low mega level digimon.

Before Renamon could speak, Rika beat her to it "what's it to you google head, you got in my way, simple as that" she said.

"Then I have no regrets about this…. Flamemon… Strabimon digivolve!" he said as he held out his Xros Loader.

Flamemon digivolve to…. Agunimon!

Strabimon digivolve to…. Lobomon!

When the light faded, Rika was shocked to see that those two rookie digimon had digivolved, something that she had been trying to get Renamon to do ever since she became her partner. Renamon was shocked, but not just from seeing those two digivolve, but from what Rika had said, she had no regard for another life and it somewhat disappointed her.

"If you don't value the life of another, then perhaps I should show you the same curtesy" Naruto said in a tone that was as cold as the arctic tundra. This shocked everyone greatly.

Rika was horrified that someone would say that, but meant every word, she backed away, but tripped causing her to fall. Renamon got in front of her partner with her arms stretched to protect her partner.

"What are you doing? She does deserve to be saved, so why do you even bother?" the blonde asked.

"Rika may say such things, but she never means them" Renamon argued.

"Oh and why should I believe you?" he asked.

"Because I'm begging you" she said, shocking Rika that her partner would do such a thing to save her.

"…"

"…"

"…"

"You know that after this she'll revert back to the selfish and ungrateful person that she is" he said.

"Yes, but she is my partner and I will stand by her" Renamon said not batting an eyelash.

"Very well, I will overlook this, but be warned girl… do something like this again and I will sever the connection between you and Renamon… this isn't a warning it's a promise" was the last thing he said, before he and his digimon vanished in a swirl of leaves. Rika quickly recovered and looked to her D-arc and found nothing. She then pocketed her digivice and stormed off without saying a word.

Renamon sighed as she watched her partner leave, but something was still on her mind though and that was who was that human and why did it make her heart/ digi-core flutter at the mere sight of him.

"Whoever you are… thank you" Renamon thought before she too vanished to insure that her tamer made it home safely.

All the while, Rika was thinking of what had transpired and how her life could've ended if it wasn't for her partner who stepped in and pleaded that she be spared. The strange blonde quite literally held her life in the palm of his hand and could've crushed her very existence into nothing more than dust and scatter it to the winds. Then there was the face that his digimon could digivolve something she's been trying to get Renamon since the day she became a tamer… and it infuriated her greatly.

"HOW IS IT POSSIBLE TO NOT ONLY HAVE TWO DIGIMON, BUT THEY COULD ALREADY DIGIVOLVE!" she yelled mentally.

"AND…. Was he serious about killing me?" she thought with a look of horror now etched into her face. The blonde had a look that screamed that he was a warrior and that killing was second nature second to breathing. She shook her head trying to forget what transpired today, but the nightmarish thought stile lingered in the back of her head and should she encounter the blonde again what and how she should counteract him.

With Naruto and Digimon

Naruto and his now de-digivolved partners watched from afar as Rika left the park "Naruto were you serious about ending her life?" Strabimon asked.

"No I needed for her to know that her mouth will land her in trouble with the wrong person and sometimes said person will be stronger than her" he said as he kept his gaze on the retreating girl.

"That may be true, but even I know that was going too far" Flamemon said.

"I know and I know for a fact that they will more than likely give me a lecture about taking things too far" Naruto said as his Xros Loader vibrated as if agreeing with him.

"Well now that that's out of the way… can we go to the house that Ebonwumon provided for us before coming here… I'm hungry" Flamemon said as his stomach growled. The Strabimon's stomach growled as if agreeing with Flamemon. The three then vanished in a swirl of leaves.
