Twilight and Pinkie's Friendship

by ElvenAC14

Twilight Sparkle was walking through Ponyville with a big smile on her face. It was a beautiful day, the birds were singing and she just gotten a new book on advanced magic and spells. There was one person that was missing though, one person who would love this kind of day. Where is Pinkie?

She spread her wings and flew in the sky. She looked below and saw Pinkie at the bridge. She didn't seem like her usual happy self, her hair was straight and she had a frown on her face.

Twilight flown down to her, "Pinkie, are you okay?"

"I'm fine." Pinkie sniffled, wiping tears from her eyes.

Twilight placed a hoof on her shoulder, "Don't lie, Pinkie. You don't usually cry or frown. You can tell me anything."

Pinkie Pie stared at Twilight, tears welling up in her eyes. "Really? Anything? Even if it's going to make you mad at me forever?"

Twilight was a little confused, but nodded. Pinkie held out a wet, frosted book of Daring Doo, first edition. Its ink was faded and the pages were so wet that it tore in some places.

"Hey, that's the book I let you borrow!" Twilight gasped.

Pinkie Pie burst, "I know! I'm sorry! I gotten frosting on it by accident and tried to wash it off! But, it didn't work! I looked everywhere for a new copy, I even asked Gummy. He didn't know where to find a first edition either! I knew you were going to get mad at me and hate me! So I tried to fix it myself, but all I had was paper and crayons! I'm so, so, so, so, so sorry!"

Pinkie put her hoofs on her face and cried. Twilight shook her head, "What makes you think I would hate you?"

"Because this is your ultra, ultra, ULTRA rare book…" Pinkie wept.

Twilight smiled and spoke softly to the pink party pony, "Pinkie, I don't hate you. Nothing, not even a rare book like this can break our friendship."

"You…you really mean that?" Pinkie said, lifting her head. "I knew how much you take care of your books, are you really sure?"

"Absolutely positively!" Twilight said, giggling slightly. "Because I know there are plenty of books out there, but only one Pinkie Pie."

Pinkie Pie smiled and her hair became poofy again. She hugged Twilight, "Thank you, thank you, thank you! Do you forgive me?"

"Yes!" Twilight laughed. "I forgive you. Do you want hang out at Sugarcube Corner?"

"Sure!" Pinkie said in her energetic tone.

Pinkie Pie and Twilight walked together, hung out at Sugarcube Corner and laughed all day. They will be friends forever, no matter what happens. Nothing can break their friendship, not even a silly old book.

Friendship is a precious thing, carry it on and help those in need.
