It was with a fair amount anger and more than a bit of childishness on my part that found me currently kicking a skeleton in the chest with my foot going through the sternum and breaking the ribs. It collapsed of course which left me stumbling around with a rib cage stuck to my boot and a gaggle of people behind me staring open mouthed and agitated. At this point I came to conclusion that this was not in fact how I expected my life to end up.
After the majestic parting of the Spriggans and a few incredulous looks Kari dug around into her Harry Potter esq. back pack and pulled out some light and form fitting leather armor for me. I strapped it on and after a quick pit stop to nab Sapphire and Rune we were on our to grab the big ol' horn. Que my first failure; I had absolutely no memory of how this damn dungeon went. Had no idea where we were going, what was in it, if there were puzzles... Nothing was coming to mind whatsoever. It didn't help that I slipped and fell down the icy steps in front of the entrance and then made matters worse when I tripped on a broken pot inside of it. Add in a scuffle, a slash across my cheek from a mostly blunt sword and I'm pretty sure that every one is about done with my shit.
Mjoll looked ready to ask me if I was special in the head again while every one else was either down right amused or caustic. After falling on my butt and finally shaking off the stubborn pile of bone I near pissed myself when a draugr popped out of its burial site and swung its ugly dull axe at me. I rolled the side and it missed. Getting ready to swing again it stopped short and fell with an arrow lodged right between its eyes. I tilted my head to the side and found Rune looking utterly sheepish with his hands raised in the universal don't hurt me gesture. As if I wouldn't have missed if I'd tried.
"Should I carry you the rest of the way?" Maul asked me in a tone that barely suppressed his annoyance. I threw a very dirty look and even dirtier turn of phrase at him. Standing up with absolutely no dignity left to my name I stalked my way out of the dungeon. I was going to sit outside and wait for them even if it killed me. Sapphires laugh rang out from some where behind me as I slipped out the door and plopped with zero grace into the snow. As a two big men with very big weapons began their ascent and eventual approach it dawned on me that I may just die here, after all.
