A/N: I literally had no idea what to title this.

How is this even possible?

He had been asking himself that for the last twenty minutes.

He had woken up a bit earlier than Korra, it was winter so it was still dark out at that time in the morning. Korra snored softly facing him, not wanting to disturb her, his mind began to find something around the room to occupy him. And then of all the ridiculous that caught his mind, it was her sheets.

This was the first time he had spent the night at Korra's new apartment. It was actually kinda fancy. Nice condo that overlooked the city. A decent sized bedroom for them, a beautiful bathroom, they had finally gotten a hold of one of the fanciest new products from Future Industries, the television. Mako swore his whole family could fit in just her living room alone, and her kitchen was sparkling. (He thought she had that done since he was better cook out of the two of them.)

But it all came from the fact that Asami had put in a good word for her at the new Sato Condo Complex, and Korra had everything customized to her personal needs. But Mako didn't quite exactly expect for Korra to make it even nicer.

The house not only looked amazing, but it smelled extraordinary.

It was the stupidest yet most wonderful thing that he had noticed being in her condo. She had air fresheners plugged in all over the house. But he also noticed that Korra's blankets and sheets were smoother. Korra's big t-shirt that she slept in felt like a baby's blanket. And they also smelled incredible.

This is how bored he was. He was caring about what exactly made her fabrics so fracking soft.

He bit his lip as he thought how she did it. She had her own washer and dryer now. He and Korra never got to living together. And if they did it would have been at his apartment at the time. He knew her routines and how she took care of herself. But again, this was how bored he was.

His attention was grabbing by Korra's long brown eyelashes fluttering open to consciousness through the dark room. Mako grinned and pushed her hair behind her ear as she groaned awake.

"What time is it?", she yawned.

"About 6:40.", he answered.

"Christ, why are we up?", she asked.

"You wanted to stare at me.", he said with a smile showing through.

She rolled her eyes.

"Ok what about you?"

"Huh?"

"Why are you up?"

There was no doubt in his mind that she would laugh at him admiring the scent of her new home, and the softness of her laundry.

"Enjoying your sheets.", he answered confidently. He hoped she would just say how she got them so soft and not ask why he was so focused on them.

"Pfft. I just do what I always do to them, nothing special.", she explained.

Damn. He had to ask or else it would be all he thought about for the rest of the day.

"And that is…"

Awkwardness flooded his mind.

"Why? Is it your laundry day soon city boy?", she asked through a laugh.

Ok, there was only one way out of this.

"I was just wondering, cause…"

He smirked and pulled her closer to him.

"I think I might be over more often."

And there it is for the win.

"You wanna move in?", she asked in a confused tone.

Wait what? That wasn't exactly what he was going for…

"Uh…I-um-well-"

"You dork I know you just care about the sheets."

Damn it.

"Ok fine.", he admitted.

"It's called fabric softener silly."

"That's it?!"

"Yeah…a lot of people use it."

He grinned and pulled her into his space to kiss her forehead.

"I hope this stuff lasts.", he said.

"Why?", she asked.

"Cause we're gonna be here for a while."

"You're such a dork Mako."
