Alison's Point Of View

The second I neared the entrance I was welcomed by bright lights and cheerful carousel music. With Justin's arm slung around my shoulder I felt warm, but only on the outside. I couldn't help but feel slightly bad about what I said to Emily, I knew it would hurt her. I knew that Emily still had feelings for me, and yet I rubbed it in front of her face- maybe that's exactly why I did it.

"Alison," Justin's voice rang, breaking my thoughts. "Let's go on the carousel." I looked up at his perfectly chiseled face, trying to feel the butterflies stirring in my stomach, but I just felt empty. As we walked, a group of middle schooler's ran past and a boy dropped his ice cream straight onto my brand new pumps. I watched as the melted mint chocolate ice cream dripped down onto the dirty ground. I shot him a dirty look as he ran back to his friends.

"Ugh, I hate kids," I groaned. "I just got these yesterday." Justin just chuckled in reply, wrinkles forming around his eyes.

"Alison it's fine, let's just go to the bathroom and clean it up," He suggested.

"I swear to god, I'm never having kids," I vowed.

Emily's Point Of View

I couldn't help but scour the grounds for the Queen Bee. I was supposed to be enjoying myself, but I couldn't. That's was part of Alison's charm, even when she wasn't around, you would be thinking of her.

"So what do you want to do first?" Paige asked, turning to look at me.

"Actually," I started. "I kinda need to use the bathroom. That jumbo slushie I had on the way was a no go," I laughed. When we arrived at the bathroom I noticed Justin waiting outside. My stomach lurched, this meant that Alison was nearby. Immediately I regretted my decision. "On second thought," I turned to Paige. "I don't think-"

"Hey Emily," Justin interrupted when he noticed me. Shoot.

"Hi," I replied with an awkward smile, turning to face him. Paige looked at me with bewildered eyes.

"I didn't know you were coming today," he grinned, flashing me a charming smile. Well, I knew you were.

"Oh, uh this is my friend Paige," I announced as she gave him a quick wave.

"I'm Justin, aren't you in my history class?" He asked.

"Yeah, Mr. Robert's right?" She stated. Justin nodded in reply. "So who are you waiting for?" Paige questioned.

"Oh, my date," Justin responded. His green eyes instantly widened, "Speaking of the devil."

Paige and I simultaneously turned to see Alison walking out the bathroom. An all too familiar, desirable vanilla perfume entered the premise. She was dressed in a tight, black, bodycon- which defined her perfect figure. Her golden locks twisted up into a messy high ponytail, and her smokey eye made her look even sexier than usual- If that was ever possible. Once the blonde beauty registered who was standing next to her date, she froze.

"Emily." She stated apathetically. Her eyes grazed past Paige, a flicker of disgust crawling over her lips.

"You guys know each other?" Justin asked cluelessly, looking around for someone to explain what was going on. Paige stayed silent, looking everywhere but at Ali. I could the feel tension rising in the circle.

"In Rosewood everyone knows everyone," Alison elucidated, examining me. I bit the inside of my cheek nervously as I glanced at her gaze.

"So I'm guessing you know Paige too?" Justin asked gesturing towards the brunette.

"Ya, I've talked to Pig- I mean Paige before," She replied with a subtle smirk. Knowing Alison, that slip up was on purpose. Paige's face became a violent shade of red.

"So Emily. I see you've decided to show up after all," she uttered in a cold tone, her blue eyes lowering. I nodded slowly, not knowing how to reply. "Where's Ben?" She asked innocently, cocking her head. I glanced around nervously, neither Justin nor Paige had a clue as to what was going on.

"Alison, can I speak to you?" I asked, feeling bold.

"I thought we already were speaking?" Alison retaliated, pretending to play dumb. Her eyes were twinkling with enjoyment.

"Alone." I demanded, my tone lowering.

"This will only take a second," she said gingerly to Justin as I grabbed her arm, and pulled her aside.

"Ali, can we not do this here?" I said quietly but sternly.

"I just wanted to know why you chose to come with no neck bitch over there over your own boyfriend," the blonde snickered, gesturing towards Paige. She looked back at me, expecting me to answer obediently, but I refused to budge. "Come on Em," she coaxed, her eyes soft. I clenched my jaw, not wanting Ali to know anything yet. I watched as she placed her hand gently on my arm, her nails a beautiful shade of red. "Pretty please with a cherry on top?" She crooned, her ocean orbs swimming with mischief. I could feel my words start slipping out, but I managed to encase them.

"It's nothing. We just need some time away from each other," I lied. Ali narrowed her eyes examining my expression, I could tell she was unconvinced but she didn't push me any further.

"Em, don't you need to go to the bathroom?" Paige interrupted. I turned my head to look back at the other swimmer. Alison merely shrugged and walked back to Justin, not bothering to say goodbye. I sighed quietly so that no one else could hear me, and stepped into the bathroom.

I stood in line for the bumper cars, waiting for Paige to come back with a hot dog. I slid my hand into my pocket, and turned on my phone to see that it was 9:45. I glanced around the grounds, seeing many happy couples and families- but not the individual I was searching for. The large and bright moon sparkled in the night, clouds barely covering it. The sky was littered with stars. I knew who I was looking for, I shouldn't have been, but I was. I couldn't help but wonder where Alison was, what she was doing, what her and Justin were doing. Just imagining them kissing made me want to puke. Although the carnival wasn't very large, it seemed like Ali was avoiding me. Maybe she didn't want her new boyfriend seeing her lesbo Bestie all over her. Or maybe she didn't want to bump into the girl she hated with a passion- Paige. Or maybe she had already left- although it didn't seem very likely that she would. Either way, it seemed like Alison had completely disappeared. My phone pinged with a text notification, interrupting my thoughts.

Unknown: Emily didn't you know? Looking for someone else while on a date is a big no no? -A

The final letter was etched into my brain. A. Who is this A? The thought immediately came to me. A is here. A is watching. I looked around frantically for a person on their phone. I saw a middle aged man calling someone, next to him was his young daughter texting. I spun around and saw several other people taking a selfie, and two more on their phones. Too many. I didn't recognize any of them. Immediately something caught my eye. My eyes widened and my heart dropped as I watched an individual in black hoodie run inside the fun house. Without thinking, I started pushing my way out of the line.

"Excuse me," I muttered several times, trying to get past the people. A teenage girl with short red hair shot me a dirty look as I shoved past her. Before I knew it, I was sprinting into the fun house.

As I entered, Loud clown music blared in my ears. Bright fluorescent lights covered the ceiling. A multitude of mirrors showed distorted versions of myself as walking. "Hello?" I called out, hearing only my own frightened voice echo back. It was empty. I glanced at my frightened reflection across from me. My eyes wide, and my mouth open. I ran past the strange mirrors, moving my way into the second room. The room was dark. The sound of children's laughter bounced around the room. What type of fun house is this? The buzz of my phone in my hand startled me. I forced a laugh at myself for being so easily frightened. I glanced down at the screen, the words glowing back at me.

Unknown: Finders keepers losers weepers. -A

"What do you want from me?" I called out. No reply. I stepped forward, and nearly fell on what was a spinning disk. Once I arrived into the third room, I was greeted by dim lights with no background music. Only now could I hear how heavily I was breathing the whole time. My eyes flickered around uncontrollably. Something felt wrong. There was something different about this room. The silence was too quiet. A thought clicked in my head telling me to leave, and immediately it was all I wanted to do. Leave. The quicker I walked, the farther the door seemed. I realized that the walls were moving. It was a room of illusions. Out of nowhere, two hands covered my eyes and I heard a blood curling scream. It must've been mine, but In the heat of the moment I couldn't recall.

The hands let go, as if they were surprised by my scream. I whipped around, expecting to see a man in a black hoodie holding a gun to my head, but only to see a beautiful blonde girl.

"Boo." She smirked, giving me a devious look. "I didn't know you were such a pussy," she giggled, seductively raising an eyebrow. I felt my body relax, and a loud sigh of relief escaped my lips.

"Ali!" I exclaimed, hearing my voice still shaking. "You scared the living daylights out of me."

Alison laughed in response, revealing flawless teeth. But something was wrong. I could feel it. The air heavier than usual. I searched Alison's face as a strange thought appeared. A for Alison. I felt myself frown. Is Ali A? My eyes searched every inch of her face for a clue, but they gave away nothing. The windows to her soul shielded, as she looked back with purely excitement and adrenaline. It makes sense though. A voice in my mind argued. She's the only one that knows. She's the only one that is here. Another voice fought back, prying for it not to be true. No, it can't be. She was next to me during the first text.

"Why are you here?" I asked, my voice coming out harsher than expected.

"I think I could ask you the same question," she replied. I could see her bright blue eyes, even under the dim, dark lights. Her thick and long eyelashes framing her big eyes perfectly. Her tresses were no longer in a bun, but gently fell against her heart shaped face, into perfect curls. An awkward silence fell between us. Only now had I realized how close we were standing. Her face only inches from mine, I could see her sparkling eye shadow, and the highlight on her cheek. Her vanilla essence, was light and sweet. I clenched my jaw, my heart still racing- but this time not from being scared. I noted how she still hadn't backed away. Her cerulean blue eyes glanced down at my lips ever so quickly and re-established eye contact. Inside, I smiled a little at her small error.

"Um," Alison interrupted the silence, backing away slightly. She had realized her mistake too. "Justin had to go. His grandmother is in the hospital," she explained, seeming slightly embarrassed about her slip.

"That's horrible," I said quietly.

"Ya I guess," Alison shrugged, not seeming apologetic at all. "Old people," she mumbled, rolling her eyes. "They freak me out." I couldn't help but laugh at her statement, although it was a terrible thing to say at a moment like this. A ping alarmed from my phone. A, I immediately thought. Inside I was hoping it was from A, so that it would be less likely that it was Ali. I looked down, feeling disappointed.

Paige: Where are you?

"Shoot," I mumbled. I totally forgot about Paige. "I kind of just left her." I explained, watching as Alison tried to suppress a smile, the corner of her lips shaking.

"How about," She started, pretending to think. "We ditch Pigskin, and just hang out for the rest of the night?" Alison proposed cunningly.

"I-I couldn't do that, what if we see her?" I asked. I didn't want to, but I could feel myself giving in to the idea.

"Why do you care so much about what she thinks?" Alison asked seeming slightly discouraged.

"I just don't want to be rude, she's my friend too," I protested. The blonde beauty pursed her lips, and then took the phone away from me. Before I could grab it back, the message was already sent.

"Ali!" I exclaimed, reading the text.

Emily: I'm so so sorry, something really important came up. Rain check?

"You said you didn't want to be rude," She chimed. "So I did it for you," Alison simpered, her soft lips curving into a smirk. She must have seen the horrified look on my face, because then she added,

"Look, I even added I'm so so sorry," Alison stated in a matter of factually voice. She moved slightly closer to me, "Something typical, sweet, Emily would say," she whispered. Her breath tingled against my neck, the sweet scent of her strawberry lip gloss overwhelming the vanilla. I could feel myself blushing, and I quickly looked away. We simultaneously looked down as another text bubble appeared under her name.

Paige: I hope everything's okay. I'll see you at school tmr?

I glanced up at Ali who was waiting to see how I would respond. The blonde flashed me an enticing smile, the twinkle in her eye's glimmering. Don't do it Emily. Don't. "Please? I'll be your best friend." She mumbled as she laid her head on my shoulder.

Before I even realized what was going on, I started typing. It was as if my body went on autopilot. I watched despairingly as my finger hit send. Emily Catherine Fields, you're an Idiot.

Emily: Everything should be fine, see you tmr :)

"Time to get the real party started," Ali smirked, flashing me a wink. To my surprise, she grabbed my hand, leading me out of the fun house. I secretly smiled at how her delicate fingers wrapped perfectly into mine, my body feeling warm and fuzzy.

Alison's Point of View

Stop. Stop thinking about her.

My eyes flickered between my date and the ride we were waiting for. Fucking Emily. You just can't get out of my head can you?

Justin turned to face me, his emerald green eyes kind and gentle. A lot like... Stop Ali.

The guilt was eating me alive.

I needed to stop.

I needed a distraction.

"Hey," I murmured, gently touching his bicep. "How about we go somewhere else?" I whispered, sending him an alluring wink. He grinned in response. I could tell what he wanted, what all the boys wanted. It was so obvious. Boys were so obvious.

"That sounds like an excellent idea," he chuckled, pulling me out of the line. His large hand in mine, we ran towards the fun house. Before we even entered, He planted a kiss right below my ear, making his way down to my throat.

"The clown music is so creepy," I interrupted, pulling away. "And this is for kids?"

"Ya, it is really weird," Justin mumbled, barely listening to what I was saying. He continued trying to work down my neck.

"Not here," I paused, pushing him back. "Let's go in a little deeper," I smirked at how dirty that sounded. Justin laughed, and followed me further into the attraction.

The entire thing was empty. Not that I was surprised, due to the weird vibe it was giving me. Once we were in the fifth room, Justin couldn't hold in his urges any longer. He grabbed my waist, pulling it towards his. I dropped my large Givenchy purse on the ground, and stuck my fingers in his soft brown hair, running them through. In return, he untied my ponytail, letting my blonde hair fall. I leaned in, my lips on his. They were soft but not as soft as... I pushed the thought away. Pay attention Ali. You're literally with the hottest guy ever. Our lips moved in synchronization, and my entire body felt warm. The stubble on his chin scratched gently at mine, tickling my lower jaw. Justin's kisses were passionate, but they didn't ignite me like... Shut the fuck up Alison.

But I couldn't. All I could imagine was the pained look in Emily's eyes when I told her I was dating Justin. Her big brown eyes, looked like they were going to cry. Emily was so sensitive sometimes. I could feel Justin's fingers tracing online the hemline of my dress, pulling them up ever so slowly. A new, disturbing image entered my mind. Emily and Paige, making out. Stop. I growled in my head. Justin's fingers were almost touching my lacy black underwear. Their lips were locked passionately and- I said make it STOP!

I pulled my face away from his.

"What's wrong Ali?" Justin asked, his orbs muddled with confusion.

"I," I started, unsure of what to say. "I'm on my period," I lied. I rolled my eyes, "I totally forgot," I continued, feeling pleased with my fib.

"Oh," Justin stated, his face dripping with disappointment.

"What?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. "You're not one of those kinky people that are into, like, period sex right?" I muttered, scrunching up my nose.

"No, no," Justin blushed. "It's fine." He awkwardly scratched the back of his neck.

The guilt of hurting Emily was making it's way into my make out sessions. Did I really feel that bad?

"Actually, I think I need to get home," I lied smoothly, straightening out my bodycon.

"Already?" He asked, checking his watch.

"Ya my mom is making me go home early," I lied. "It's a school night," I fake mimicked, something exactly my real mother would say. Justin opened his mouth, "My dad's going to pick me up," I added, knowing what he was going to say. "Over protective parents," I snorted. Justin's mouth fell into a straight tight line.

"I had a really good time," he finally said giving me a smile. I pursed my lips.

"Me too," I replied.

"I'll see you tomorrow?" Justin asked, looking hopeful.

"No promises," I joked, flashing him a final flirty smile. He grinned, giving me a wave. I wiggled my fingers flirtatiously in return. When he left, I sighed, looking at the black hairband on my wrist. I combed my fingers through my shiny blonde hair.

"What do you want from me?" A voice called out faintly from my left, muddled between the walls. I frowned, it was a girl's voice.

"Emily," I whispered. Who is she talking to? I picked up my purse and started walking towards the voice, the sound of my Louboutin heels against the cement floor. I paused. Knowing Emily she was going to ask where Justin was, but I didn't want her to know that I blew off a hot guy just to hang out with her. That would be going against the Ali D code.

"Ali," the voice startled me. Emily's pretty tan face came into view. I blinked a couple of times as I registered what was going on. The man operating the ride looked at me impatiently, as if we had been standing there for years. The both of us stepped into the compartment, and with a slam of the door, it was moving.

Emily's Point of View

"You never told me," Ali stated, cocking her head. I sat in the corner, and she sat down across from me.

"What?" I asked.

"Why you were in the fun house," She continued, looking at me for an answer. "And who you were talking to."

"Oh!" I exclaimed, my mind scrambling for a lie. "I don't know, I just thought I saw someone I knew," I stated lamely. "It was nothing," I added in afterwards.

"Tell me the real reason why you didn't come with Ben," Ali said suddenly. I knit my brows together.

"What do you mean? I already told you, we're not talking right no-" I started, only to be interrupted.

"Hon. You might as well tell the truth, cuz you're a really bad liar," she snorted. I ran my tongue over my teeth. I am a bad liar.

"Fine." I sighed, feeling defeated. "I broke up with him." Ali looked somewhat surprised, as her brows raised.

"You actually did it? I didn't think you had the guts," she tittered. "Why couldn't you tell me that?"

"It, It wasn't that," I mumbled. "It's what happened afterwards," I continued. Immediately I bit my tongue, regretting what I said. Her eyes perked up.

"Spill the deets. What happened?" She asked, looking somewhat interested. I tried looking anywhere else but Ali's seductive blue eyes. I realized the view behind her was beautiful.

"The view is amazing," I breathed, trying to change the subject. I scrambled to her side of the Ferris wheel.

"Emily, you can tell me." Ali pushed. I turned her head to face what I was looking, and waited for her to react.

"Wow," She murmured. I glanced down. The city was brightly lit, kind of like Paris. The night sky a beautiful shade of Midnight Blue. The moon was so round, and bright. It seemed as if it was smiling back. The stars twinkled against the dark sky. Rosewood looked beautiful. Everyone looked so happy from up here, it was as if all of their problems had drifted away. I turned and looked back at Ali, who was already looking at me. Her cerulean blue eyes stared intently back at mine. I glanced down at her full, pouty, lips- only for a second, my stomach doing back flips."You know, you're gonna tell me sooner or later," she grinned, turning back to her original position. I turned around too, as the Ferris wheel arrived back at the ground after a 360 degree turn.

I remembered every single little detail of the rest of that night. The way Alison tucked her hair behind her ear before we tried to win a carnival game. The hug she gave me after I won her a gigantic stuffed bear. The way an impish smile trickled over her lips when I was too scared to go on a roller coaster. The way my insides turned whenever she gave me a sultry glance. The way our hands met when we were eating cotton candy. Too many things, yet I recalled each and every one of them.

"It's getting kind of late," Ali mumbled as she turned on her phone. 11:11.

"It's 11 11!" I exclaimed like a little kid. "Make a wish," I grinned. Ali looked at me with a Really Em? Look, but closed shut her eyes for a few seconds anyways. I shut my eyes too, knowing exactly what I wanted. I wished hard, but I knew it could never happen. When I opened my eyes Alison looked at me, her eyes examining my face.

"What did you wish for?" Ali asked, picking at her manicured nails.

"I can't tell you or else it won't come true," I smiled weakly. She looked down, revealing her smoky eye shadow, then back up.

"You know what I wished for?" Ali asked, the corner of her lips turning into a smirk. I shook my head slowly. I could feel my heart pounding like drums in my ears. "I wished that..." she grinned looking at me. The way her eyes danced told me she was enjoying this, a little too much. I waited for her to finish, but she never did.

"You're not going to tell me?" I asked, wanting to know desperately.

"Hmm. I don't know," She murmured, cocking her head. "I'm still waiting for you to tell me about what happened with Ben remember?" The blonde asked. I groaned internally.

"Come on Ali," I begged.

Alison shot me one final impish smile, and sauntered towards the exit.
