Amy

As the soft, warm rays of the sun peeked through the slightly opened drapes; Sonic's eyes peeled open slowly. He blinked before letting a wide yawn escape him, stirring something on his chest. He winced at the slight pain and glanced down and smiled fondly at the sleeping girl. Amy seemed completely at ease in his arms, her full lips were parted and a small snore came through her lips, her arms firmly grasped onto his waist and her breathing seemed even and slow. He reached, unable to resist her bangs that fell in front of her face, and swept his fingers across her forehead lightly, earning a smile and her eyes fluttered open. She inhaled deeply and released a breath before realizing where she was and glanced up.

"Morning" he smiled.

"H-hey, Good Morning, how are you feeling?" she blushed.

"I should be asking you that question" he said with concern taking his attention to her eyes.

"Why?" she asked and rubbed her eyes and let out a yelp.

"Your eyes are bloodshot red Rosie"

"Who's Rosie..?" she mumbled.

"You?" he smiled mischievously.

"Oh! Right, your right, heh, looks like I'm still asleep" she laughed awkwardly.

"Looks like it's both eyes" he said changing the topic back to her health.

"Really? Crap, it's because I slept with these damn contacts in" she mumbled and stumbled out of bed.

Amy rushed to the bathroom and shut the door behind her as quickly as possible, turning the lock while she was at it. She glanced into the wide mirror spread across the bathroom wall and gasped in shock. One contact had shifted to the side, causing her to see the world in a blur. Her eyes were in fact a scary red, and it looked like her dye had rubbed off a little off of her left right cheek.

"Shit" she mumbled and removed the contacts from her eyes.

What am I supposed to do now? If I go out there without my contacts, he'll see right through my mask. Then there's the dye, I didn't apply the concealer spray last night either, and Celia told me that it would only last about two days before I need to wash it off or apply a longer dye.

"I got careless" she scolded her reflection. She pulled the contact out before she jumped when a knock came at the door.

"Rose? You alright in there" Sonic asked from the opposite side of the door.

"I-I'm fine, just that my contacts got messed up" she hissed while searching for the dropped contact. She released a defeated sigh when she found it, a large tear splitting it in half.

"You wear glasses then?" he asked "You have a pair with you?"

"Glasses" she whispered. She had a fake pair from her interview dinner with Pricilla that one time. "Definitely! Thanks, just give me a second and relax, I'll be out in a few"

"Alright then" he chuckled before leaving her to herself and taking a seat on the bed.

Amy nodded at her reflection, mentally telling herself that it was going to work out, she just might have the opportunity to warn Sonic about Fiona too.

After packing up the small amount of things she did unpack, Amy helped Sonic back to her car, checked out of the cozy Inn and slipped into the car alongside Sonic, fixing her glasses on her nose.

"So where to?" she asked bringing the car to life.

"I was thinking we could go grab some breakfast at the coffee shop, or you could take me home and get settled in." he shrugged.

"Breakfast sounds really good right now" she admitted. "Coffee shop it is" she nodded and headed towards the coffee shop she usually read at whenever she checked out books from the library. After parking, Sonic glanced over and smiled at her, she arched a brow, and shifted in her seat.

"What?" she finally asked.

"Nothing, just checking to see if I could mentally send you a message"

"Since I didn't receive it, do you mind delivering it verbally?" she laughed.

"Sure, hot chocolate please and thanks and if you could throw in a breakfast wrap, that would be cool" he grinned.

"Jerk" she laughed before grabbing her purse and exiting the car.

As she walked towards the little cafe, she mentally slapped herself. Wasn't she supposed to be new to the town? And she drove to the exact coffee shop she told Sonic she loved when they took a walk together?

"Ughh" she groaned, face-palming herself before entering the shop; ignoring the prim and proper Pricilla, exiting the exact time she exited. Amy shuddered internally and glanced around the small shop to see if she knew anyone.

"What was that?" she asked herself in a low mumble as she walked to the available register.

"Nice.." she breathed out as she parked in front of the impressive house before her. The small bungalow house, was a deep mocha briked at the upper half and planked white at the lower half, there was ample space for at least three large vehicles, other than hers, she didn't see any other vehicles but noticed the adorable patio/porch with no more than two comfortable patio chairs that she wanted to sit in so badly it was irritating. The roof was hooded over the little porch, providing a nice shady place she would definitely read a book at.

"My aunt designed it" Sonic said proudly.

"Well your aunt has some awesome taste"

"Wait until you see inside, Manic should be home by now, so you can leave your trunk and ill have him help."

"But-

Before she could protest any further, Sonic had his gloved finger on her lips and he was already on the phone.

"Yo! *pause* yeah, I know already *pause* dude I'm fine *pause* outside *pause* okay, hey!" he yelled at the end of the call and growled at the phone, removing his finger from her lips.

"Went well?' she asked sarcastically

"Peachy" he laughed before pointing at her window.

She glanced across and screams when all she saw was green…a lot of green and spikes everywhere, what…oh it was a person.

"Dude!" it..no he yelled through the glass.

Amy couldn't help but laugh and she cut the engine off. She opened her door hesitantly and the boy stepped back allowing her to get out.

"Rosie" she smiled extending her hand.

"Manic" he grinned back, shaking her hand firmly. "Thanks for driving my douche bag of a brother home, I know it's AM, but you want something to eat?" he asked after releasing her hand.

"We already ate, now help me jackass!" Sonic yelled impatiently from the passenger side.

Manic rolled his eyes and excused himself to help his brother and all Amy could do was smile. She heard him mutter something about not knowing Sonic was into the Brainiac type but she shook it off. He probably was referring to her fake glasses.

How could Fiona break such a nice person? She wondered to herself, making an ugly scowl replace her smile.

"Why the scowl? Did your breakfast burrito go down the wrong way?" Sonic snickered from across the other side of the car, his arm slung around his brothers shoulders.

"No, you just reek" she shot back with a satisfied smirk.

Sonic frowned momentarily digesting her words before turning his nose towards his arm and sniffed, making an ugly face that had Amy enter a fit of giggles.

"I'm going to the bathroom" he grumbled and limped towards the house himself.

Manic came over and high-fived her, joining in with her laughter.

"Shut up!" Sonic yelled from inside, which only had the two passing out from laughter, holding onto the car for support.

The bungalow was just as breathtaking on the inside, just as it was on the outside; as Manic led her inside, the fresh scent of flowers on the small table beside the door filled her nostrils, as well as a faint aroma of polish that she guessed was used for the polished wooden floor. She eyed the small living room just past the dining area and smiled at the quaint white furniture with brown edges. The entire place she guessed was as warm and inviting as the owner itself.

"This is just.." she started.

"Yeah, I know." Manic offered a smile. "Juice?" he asked heading towards he kitchen.

"Sure, thanks" she said and occupied a bar stool whilst Manic got her a glass of orange juice.

"Thanks again for helping him out" he said after placing the glass before her.

"No biggie" she smiled and tipped the glass to her head.

"Rosie right?" he asked.

"Mhm" she twitched as the tang left a slight aftertaste on her tounge.

"So what school do you go to?"

"I don't go to school anywhere near here, I got ditched by my family just a few days ago"

"Seriously?" he asked with an arched brow, leaning against the opposite counter.

"Seriously." She said as flat as she could. " I was driving around the area looking for a place to stay, when I saw Sonic being chased by some goons" she explained.

Manic stiffened a little, making his uniform tighten around his arms. Amy noticed and took another swig of juice from her cup before putting it back down, swallowing hard.

"You guys aren't in any gangs or anything like that right?" she laughed nervously.

"I was, Sonic is trying to quit" he said I all seriousness.

It was Amy's turn to stiffen, a swat rolling down her forehead. "R-Really?" she laughed nervously.

" 'Fraid so, and since you helped him out, he's going to make you his gang princess, and then you'll be targeted and possibly kidnapped, making him weaker, and then I'll grow to hate you because he'll choose you over his family, and turn himself in and get kill-OW!" he bawled out.

Amy blinked and watched as Manic rubbed his head, picking up a basketball from the floor. Both turned in the direction the ball came from and saw Sonic, leaning against the wall, glaring at Manic.

"What the heck man?!" Manic complained.

"You talk too much" Sonic growled. "Stop filling up her head with bullshit"

"You didn't have to throw a damn ball at my head, what if I passed out?!"

"All the better" he grinned mischievously. "But then you wouldn't be able to go to school and get my notes for me now would you?"

"Asshole" Manic mumbled, throwing the ball in a corner. He grabbed his backpack off the counter and slung it over his shoulder.

Alone Again. Amy thought while playing with the now empty glass of juice. A few seconds had passed before she dared to open her mouth, but Sonic beat her to it.

"You can bring your trunk to Sonia's room and use the shower" he smiled warmly.

"Okay, sure, I can do that" she agreed, jumping from the bar stool. "What do I do with this?" she asked picking up the glass.

"Just toss it in the sink, it's my turn to do the dishes tonight so ill deal with it later."

"Would you be able to?" she asked placing the cup in the sink gently.

"This should heal by this afternoon" he said confidently.

"Really now?" she asked arching a brow.

"Yep, need help with that?" he asked mentioning to her large precious trunk.

"I've got it handled" she winked and grabbed its handle, and lifte it over her shoulder.

Sonic eyed her, shocked for a few seconds before shaking his head and led her towards his sisters' room. Amy set the trunk down almost immediately and couldn't help but groan in relief once it thudded to the ground.

"I hope I didn't break anything" she groaned cracking her back.

"You did say you could handle it." Sonic smirked.

"I meant the floor you jerk" she laughed, punching him in his good arm.

"Bathrooms just a door down" he laughed and left her to herself.

Sonic had left towels and the sort for her and she couldn't help but smile when she entered the bathroom.

"Well, may as well take a shower" she nodded to herself before stripping down and choosing the hot water to lavish in the heat.

A small moan escaped her lips as the water beat against her flesh and she opened her eyes only to shut them tightly hissing at the sudden sting.

"Ahh, what the-?" she hissed blindly looking for a towel to wipe her face into. After wiping her face vigorously, she stepped out of the shower and glance in the mirror, a shriek escaping her lips.

"Rosie?!" came Sonics panicked tone 'Hey, you okay? Can I come in?"

"No!" she yelled back.

"Here, you don't mind if I come in do you?' a female voice asked.

Wait, who was that, do girls just come in his house when no one is around? What am I thinking at a time like this?" Amy thought to herself while looking at her all too familiar rose-pink face; her dye had completely washed away during her bath.

"What am I gonna do?' she began shedding tears. This was supposed to be her chance to completely disappear, and ultimately get closer to Sonic. Now her plan was already falling apart ad she hasn't begun her investigation yet.

"Think, Think, Think" she whispered through running tears.

"I'm coming in" the girl said, turning the knob from the other side

I forgot to lock it! Wait, No!

As Amy turned, towel clutched to her body, not a word could escape from her mouth; Sonia beat her to it.

"Amy?!"
