It's not some cheap trick,
Devil fruit or lies.
So why is it that this man,
Gains so many allies?

Is it his unmatched loyalty,
And strong, hard devotion?
Or his powerful convictions,
That set these people in motion?

It could be his longing for freedom,
Or his love for adventure and fun,
His childish and silly nature,
That people follow him for, one by one?

Is it for his overpowering will,
And strength to believe in what's right?
A never faltering stance,
That won't ever move without a fight?

Is it that radiating hope,
That he brings to the front line?
Blindly, trust is given,
Belief that everything will be fine.

Is it his absolute intuition?
To know these people in and out,
Without taking a second glance,
And without even a single doubt?

And from this, his acceptance,
Of all those pure which he deems,
No matter how strange or cold,
Or evil one seems?

And when accepted, his kindness?
His love of those called friend?
And for those, a hope for happiness,
To which he will forever defend?

Is it for his belief,
That no matter how small,
With enough desire,
Anyone can stand tall?

Is it those knowing words,
Triggering strong emotion?
Helping one to pass every pain,
With a definite devotion?

Or is it his hidden loneliness,
Which only those similar can see?
Which triggers a need to comfort,
That beneath the bandages of glee?

Maybe it's simply his smile?
Shining bright, wide and pure,
Displaying his full heart and soul,
Which acts as such a lure?

Well, no matter why they came,
We know why, faithful they stay,
They whole-heartedly believe,
He will be Pirate King one day.

And they'll stand by him for as long as it takes,
Together they'll see the hard times through,
Sacrificing anything and everything,
To make sure his dreams come true.
