Well, um, it's been a while hasn't it? Please don't hate me! I've had some crap going on, but I have a toooonnn of inspiration for this book, so there will be updates! At long last, I hope you enjoy the second chapter of Lessons Learned! Enjoy! Disclaimer: I own nothing but this plot!

~~~~~~~Kates POV~~~~~~~~
Sitting there let a flood of memories into my mind, one more prominent than the others. It was the memory that started this all.
Flash Back~~~~~~~~~ (This will last the rest of the chapter, and into another) ~~~~~~~~~~~
I was in a meeting with the Mianite crew, discussing the possibilities of a season three. Well, Tom, Deck, Jordan, Sonja, Tucker, and James were, while I was staring at a clock on the wall. Suddenly, my phone begins to vibrate, and Taylor Swift's song 'Blank Space' rings through the room. I quickly picked it up and rushed out of the room. I had been waiting call for a week, and my heart began to beat rapidly, pounding against my ribs. It was Don Levanto, a producer from Starlight Studios, who had wanted to hear some of my original songs after his daughter found me on YouTube. A week ago, I had sent him demo, and I was terrified for what he would say. I took a deep breath, and clicked the little green button on my cell phone.
"Hello?" I said, biting my lip.
"Hey kid, it's Don Levanto. Lemme cut to the chase, we want you. When will you be able to come in to work on recording?" I had to bite my lip to keep from screaming. Starlight Studios was going to sign me, me, a little gaming YouTuber who could barely make a name for herself. I was going to make my own music.
I was going somewhere.
"Um, whenever is most convenient for you sir," I said, my voice wavering slightly. The high was already starting to wear off, nerves beginning to set in.
"How about now?"
"Well, um, I don't-"A new voice sounded from behind me, making me jump.
"Go on Kate, we're not doing anything too important right now. I'll let you know what we decided." I turned around, mouthing a thank you at Tom, who smirked in return, making a shooing motion with his hand.
"I'll be there in about fifteen minutes." My teeth dug into my bottom lip, anticipating his reply.
"Great. I'll see you then kid," his voice showed obvious relief, and he hung up.
As the taxi dropped me outside of the studio, I could feel my knees begin to shake. What if they changed their minds? What if they cut me from the deal?
My mind buzzed with a thousand different questions, and I felt sick. I could feel my breakfast swirling around in my stomach. Before I knew what happened, my feet had moved me to the door, into the building, and to the receptionist's desk. The lady working at the desk was unpleasant to say least.
Her face seemed pinched into a permeant frown, surrounded by a thick layer of fat. She had piercing green eyes that would seemed to stare into your soul. Her hair was pulled back into a messy bun, strands of her curly black, most likely dyed, hair were sticking up everywhere. She wore a green turtleneck with a navy sweater vest on top. A gold cross necklace was paced on top of the turtleneck, almost covered completely by her triple chin. To sum it up, she looked like the child of Santa and an angry kindergarten teacher that hates her job.
"Can I help you?" Her surprisingly high pitched voice sounded like nails on a chalkboard to me, but I forced a smile onto my face.
"Hi, I'm looking for Mr. Levanto's office, and I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction?" I asked. Her manicured finger pointed to the right, and she told me to go to the third door on my left. I thanked her, and hurried down the hall. As I stopped in front of Don's office, I took a deep breath, and put my hand on the doorknob. Here goes nothing…
Sorry it's so short! I'll give a longer update, and it will most likely be up tomorrow, if not it will be up by Sunday at the latest! I hope you enjoyed! R&R to tell me what you think!
