Sora's POV
*One Week Later*
I have just finish getting dress, for this stupid dance. "Hey, Haru?" She peeked her head in from the hallway.
"Yeah?" I held my arms out.
"How do I look?" I looked down to my feet. I was wearing a black suit with a white button up shirt with a green tie that matches my eyes.
"Other then you're a chick in a suit, good." She walked in fixing her tie then started to fix mine. "I really wish we didn't have to go."
"I kind of don't mind…I mean it gets our debt paid off." Haruhi looked up at me.
"You just want to see Tamaki in a suit." I pulled away from her.
"No I don't…I don't care what that idiot wears." I tighten my tie a bit too much. Haruhi slapped my hands away and fits it again.
"Sora, I can tell you like him." She tucked my tie in. she realized I wasn't talking about it any more. "You use to be part of their life. How do they not know you?" I ran my hand threw my hair.
"No one knew me by my first name, only by my middle. My grandparents didn't like my first name. They hated it. That's why my grandmother give me, my middle name." I said as I picked a piece of hair of my jacket.
"What's your Middle name?" I didn't look at her.
"Uh…Rei… my grandmother give it to me." I wrote it out for her. She picked up the paper.
"Doesn't that mean-" I cut her off.
"Yeah." I walked out the front door, heading for the school. My middle name is spelt to mean: Nothing, zero. That's why my cousin give me the nickname Zero. Like the guy from Vampire Knight.
"Sora!" Tamaki started to wave at me. Haruhi had finally caught up.
"Please, don't ever do that again." I just give her a small smile.
"Sorry my middle name is a sore subject." She smiled at me as Tamaki started to drag us to the ball room. No one but the club was there yet.
"Holy crap! Sora, you look great!" Kaoru jumped up from next to his brother.
"I feel like I look stupid. I hate this monkey suit." I took off my jacket. "I can't stand this jacket. My shirt is big enough for me not to wear this!" I look at Haruhi. "Right?" She laughed at me.
"No you have to wear it to the party." I started to grumble. "Don't grumble at me!" The host members laughed at us.
"It is so good to see you here tonight, my little lambs. The Ouran host club would like to bid you welcome." We all took our left arms, placed them of our waists, and bowed to the ladies.
"As always, ladies, the host club members are here for your entertainment.
So we invite you to dance to your heart's content. Based on her dancing skills, one lucky young lady will be chosen as tonight's queen. The queen's reward will be a passionate kiss on the cheek from our king." Kyoya, sounding really cheerful, waved his hand toward Tamaki.
"Good luck to you, my darlings." Tamaki being Tamaki, winked at the ladies. Half of the girl fell over. Both Haruhi and I looked like we were miserable.
"Haruhi, Sora, show some enthusiasm." The Twins came up to us, slapping us in the backs.
"Well, excuse us, you guys. Sorry. We're not used to this sort of thing. We've only ever gone to the festivals held in our neighborhood park." I answered for us, knowing Haruhi wanted to go home.
"I don't know if you can really consider that a party or not." Kyoya said behinds us. I looked at Haruhi. In my eyes you could see me question. Can I smack him? "Well, since you're already here, you might as well get yourself something to eat. We've got quite a spread." Wait they have a what?
"A spread?" Haruhi looked at me. I looked at her. We were thinking the same thing.
"With fancy tuna?" We said at the same time. Kyoya broke the tip of his pen and the rest of the Host club jumped back from us in shock.
"Fan-" Honey started the first part of the word.
"-cy…" Hikaru and Kaoru finished the last part of the word
"...tuna?" Tamaki finished the sentence. The Twin started to hug Haruhi and I, as Tamaki jumped down from where he was standing. Kyoya was pulling out his phone; Honey and Mori were behind us, watching the twins hug us. "Get some fancy tuna here right now." Tamaki pointed at Kyoya.
"Add some deluxe sushi." Kyoya, who already had the people on the line, spoke in to his phone.
"Damn these filthy rich jerks." I growled in my head. I pushed the twins off of me. "Get off of me!" I walked to the dance floor.
"Sora, where are you going?!" Tamaki yelled after me.
"To pay off my debt." I dance with a few females and planted myself on one of the collmeans, watching the other hosts dance. Haruhi had gotten pretty good at it. I smiled at my sister, as she trips and apogles to the young lady. The girl starts to blush and talk about how 'he's' so cute. I chuckled at her. As much as they annoy me, I can see how much they changed Haruhi and I. It use to be just us really, we had friends but we never were really friends with them. We are a bit more out going then what we use to be. We would have never dress, act, and fool the whole school to believe we were boys.
"Hello, Sora. I've been looking all over for you. Do you think maybe I could have the next dance?" Lady Kanako walked up to me smiling. I didn't lose my smile and held out my hand.
"Yeah. Of course you can." She grabbed mine and pulled in on to the dance floor. I took the lead after that. I had pricets with Haruhi and Ranka a good bit. Ranka wanted me to know to dance as a female as well. We all had a kick out of it. Ranka is an awesome dancer, me not so much.
"You've being getting better." I smirked at her, as I whispered in her ear.
"It was all for you." She blushed. "I fingered I could get better and tell everyone how great of a teacher you are." She then giggled.
"Sora, I hope this doesn't sound mean, but I just hope we could be friends. You see I am in love with someone, but they don't see me. They aren't from the host club." I beamed at her.
"Friends. I like you as a friend, Kanako." I felt two different arms grab me, ripping me away from Kanako. "Wah!"
Mori and Honey ran me into a back room. By then Mori had thrown me over his shoulder. "There she is." Kaoru said, as I was set on my feet. Haruhi, Hikaru, Kaoru, and Kyoya, were in the room waiting for us.
"You didn't have to be so forceful." I looked at the other boys.
"Never mind that, go get changed." Hikaru said pushed a paper bag. I sighed and walked in the dressing room. They also shoved a wig the same color as my hair. Hell it's cut like my old hair.
"A little accident towards the end of night would be quite thrilling. And remember, Sora, there are only 20 minutes remaining before the party reaches its climax. Suzushima is already waiting for you in the classroom across the hall." Great, 'a little accident' isn't going to be an accident. Not with these guys.
"Did you guy really cut the wig like my hair in middle school?" Kyoya's voice spoke up, as I ran my hands over the dress.
"Tamaki wanted it." I put my hair the wig and looked at myself in the mirror. There was a knock on the side of the room.
"You dress?" Kaoru and Hikaru asked at the same time. I yelled out a yeah, as I fixed my hair like I use to. I looked at the boys.
"How this?" Their eyes widen, and then they got big smirks on their faces. Their hands came up and I saw they were holding make-up.
"Ah shit." They brought in a chair and sat me in it. The curtain was pulled back from behind me.
"You know I never saw Sora with make-up on. She was more about her hair then face, but that didn't stop the guys." Haruhi laughed behind me.
"Why am I doing this again? Why can't Haruhi?" She grumbled behind me, I know wanting me to shut up. Kaoru give me a small smile.
"Because you have more of a woman's body." I glared at him as Haruhi tried to hit him. "What you mad that I made a little bit of fun." Her arms wrapped around me.
"No don't talk about my sister like that." I smiled as the twins started to finish my make-up. Honey walked up to me.
"You have to ask him how he feels, okay?" Aw, he was trying to give me pointers.
"We know this is the boss's strategy, but it's kind of unsettling." The twin said together as they looked at me. The door busted opened. I wasn't aloud to look who walked in, but I had my guess. Tamaki.
"Gentlemen! Here you all are. What are you doing?" I knew it! I got up and looked at him. "The guests are waiting for…" He trailed off. The twins went behind him, smiling at their job.
"So, what do you think?" They asked him.
"Wow, you look so cute!" Honey was looking up at me with
"Oh wow, Sora." I glared at Haruhi, for letting them do this to me.
"My face feels heavy, and it's hard to walk in these shoes." That was my only come back. Even though I can walk in them pretty well. They just hurt my feet.
"Good luck, Sora." The twins called after me as I walked down the hall.
"God damn Tamaki…hell the whole Host club. They were all part of this shit." I grumbled as I looked for the room. When I finally found it. I did a small happy dance, which caused me to almost fall face first into the doors. I busted threw the door. "Shit!" I said as I fell to my hands and knees. "Ow…" I pulled myself up and dusted myself off. I looked at Suzushima. He give me a really confused look.
"You are the one who wrote this letter? You're totally different from what I imagined." He held up a piece of paper. I raised my eyebrow at it.
"Letter?" He handed it to me. I was almost scared of what was in it. I opened it and started to read.
'I'm in love-love. From the first time I saw you, I've been head over heels in love. Tee-hee-hee. It's like my heart is stuck in a never-ending typhoon. All these feelings of love keep whipping around in my heart like the breaking waves. When the typhoon's rising water's come, I want to rendezvous with you on Noah's Ark! I do! I do!'You got to be fucking kidding me.
'Who wrote such a stupid letter?' I growled in my head. I had an idea on who it was. Fucking Kaoru, Hikaru, and Kyoya. I forgot that I had Suzushima in front of me.
"Excuse me. Have we met somewhere before?" He asked me. I looked at him and started to wave my hands around.
"No. This is the first time I've ever talked to you. Plus I'm sorry for the note. My friend's are the one who wrote it for me." I started to rub the back of my head. "I'm really not that good at it."
"I'm sorry. I'm flattered by your letter but I'm afraid I don't feel the same way. You see, another girl already has my heart." When he looked back at me, he looked shocked. Most likely wondering why I don't look hurt.
"Oh, I didn't know you had a girlfriend." His face dropped, like someone close to him just died.
"Unfortunately, she is not my girlfriend. In fact, I think she's completely over me. In all honesty, she'd be happier with someone more self-confident than me." He looked threw the window. "That's why I decided I need to change. I want to see the world, hopefully become a better man. I know it's selfish, but I wonder if she'll wait for me." I give a light scoff.
"Yeah, you're right. That is pretty fu-freaking selfish of you. But, hell, maybe she would wait. You'll never know if you don't tell her how you feel. You obviously have strong feelings for her, so why not pull your big boy pants on and just talk to her? I think once you decided to change, then you've already begun your transformation." I give him a small smile, trying to make up for cussing at him. He looked up at me in shock, like he could believe that I just said that. The door opened behind us, causing us to turn and looked. It was Kanako. I was so glad I was known as a boy at that time. I didn't want to lose my new friendship with her.
"Kanako…" Suzushima said as he walked closer to her. Tears filled her eyes as she looked down. I hated the pain I just caused my new friend.
"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt you two. I just…" She turned and ran away.
"Kanako! Kanako!" Suzushima yelled as he ran off after her. I walked out of the class room and Tamaki was standing there smiling. I glared at him. How can he be smiling?
"Looks like we just made it worse!" I walked up to him with my arms crossed. I was kind of mad at him for this. It was like he planed this.
"But he did go running after her." He looked over at me. I lost my glare and looked at him in a new light. I now understood what he meant, by the host club's responsibility.
'It's our responsibility as members of the elite Ouran host club to make every girl happy.' I looked up at Tamaki. The way the mood light was shinning on him, really did make him look like a Prince. He looked at me and smiled. I smiled back. I think maybe…Haruhi was right. Maybe I am falling for the stupid prince…I shook my head shacking those thoughts out of my head.
"Race you." I took off running.
"How can you run in heels?" I just laughed as he chased after me.
Tamaki and I got there to see Kanako running across the court yard. Suzushima was right behind her. Everyone watched Suzushima stopping Kanako. "Ladies and gentlemen. It is now time for us to begin the final dance of this evening's festivities. The last waltz of the night has been chosen by the host club for this couple." The light shines on to them.
Suzushima bowed and held out his hand. "Princess Kasuga, may I have this dance?" Kanako smiled and laid her hand on his.
"Yes." They started to dance. I didn't know if they could hear them but I could.
"I love you, Kanako. I've always loved you. And I want you to be my wife." I smiled at that. That's good. He told her how he felt. Kanako nodded with tears in her eyes.
"Tonight marks the end of my host hopping." She looked up at me, smiling. I smiled back and nodded my head, telling her I approved of him.
"May this awkward couple be forever blessed!" I laughed at Tamaki.
"They are the definition of awkward couple." Tamaki beamed down at me. Happy that I joined in with his joke.
"And now we'll announce the queen of the ball." Hikaru said coming up on my left, holding a banana peel.
"Congratulations, Princess Kanako Kasugazaki." Kaoru came up on my right, also holding a banana peel.
"And for her reward, a kiss on the cheek from the king…" Hikaru said, his banana peel gone. Where the hell did it go?
"You ready?" Tamaki asked, looking at Kanako smirking. I mintely growled in my head.
"Sora will stand in for Tamaki." Kaoru announced, his peel also gone. Where the hell did their peels go?! Tamaki's face fall.
"Kyoya did say that a little accident towards the end of night might make even more thrilling for everyone." The twins said together. Kanako looked like she really didn't want to do this.
Suzushima placed his hand on his her shoulder. "It's just on the cheek, right? You should accept it. It will commemorate your graduation from host-hopping." I looked at the boys.
"There's no way I can kiss her." I said flat out.
"If you do it, we'll cut yours and Haruhi's debt by one-third." Kyoya said not looked up from his book. I looked at Haruhi. She was begging me with her eyes. Damn it I guess I'm taking one for the team.
"Well, it is just a peck on the cheek." Haruhi smiled as I started to walk down the stairs.
"Hey, you don't think this is Sora-chan's first kiss, do you?" Honey said from behind me. It is my first kiss.
"What? Wait, Sora!" Tamaki yelled out behind me. I felt is hand pushing me in the back, launching me in Kanako and causing me to kiss her on the lips. I quickly pulled back, holding my lips.
'I never would have thought that I'd end up giving my first kiss to another girl. But it was such an amazing night. So I guess it's just as well.' I thought to myself and smiled at Kanako, who was also holding her lips and looking up at Suzushima scared and sorry. Suzushima just smiled down at her, knowing it wasn't like she meant for that to happen. 'Yeah, I think they will be really happy.
