"I want you to apologize to Prince Sesshomaru."

"Why?"

"Because," She said glaring at me. "Attacking people is wrong."

"I'm not that much of a savage mother, I was just defending myself. He's the one that hit me with a whip." I said with a huff.

My mother stopped fussing over my once again royal appearance. "What?"

"He hit me with a whip and when I asked him why he was all like 'I don't have to answer you.'" I said mocking his voice.

"I see..." She said after a moment. She sighed before saying. "I would still like for you to apologize to him."

I shook my head in defiance. "Well at least do not fight with him anymore while we are here."

"I will try."

"Lunar." My mother said in warning but I wouldn't change my mind.

"I will try." I said again refusing not to make any promises.

She sighed mumbling something about stubbornness and my father's fault.

It was soon time for dinner and we were the guests of honor. Upon being seated we bowed to them and in return they bowed to us. We sat down at the table Sesshomaru and I locked eyes we glared at each other.

I heard his mother clear her throat and he sneered but looked away from me apparently he had gotten a talking too as well.

I smirked before feeling the eyes of my own mother, I also looked away.

It was the beginning of a long night.

My father and Inu no Taishō left to talk after they had finished eating, leaving my mother, Sesshomaru and his mother to chat.

While our mothers talked, we stared at everything except each other because when our eyes locked gazes we glared at each other.

"Sesshomaru why don't you show princess Lunar around the gardens?" Sesshomaru and I both looked up at her with horror filled expressions.

"She is our guest…" She said towards him ending any protest that he could have uttered.

I looked up at my mother pleading her with my eyes; surely she wouldn't make me go with him. Oh how wrong I was…

"You are a guest in this castle and the Princess of the East do well to remember that on your tour of the gardens with the Young Prince." My mother said evenly and I felt my very soul try to leave my body.

With that our mothers stood and exited talking about tea and floral arrangements.

Sesshomaru stood with and emotionless face and held out his hand. I glared at it before standing on my own and walking past him.

"Let's just get this over with so I can go home." I sneered.

He growled "With pleasure…" before stomping past me.

~Akatsuki and Inu no Taishō~

Both Lords watched their heirs with smirks on their faces. They had only been in the gardens for five minutes before they started brawling with each other, the guards running to try and separate them only to get hurt in the process.

"What do you think old friend?" Akatsuki asked.

"You were right." Inu no Taishō said laughing. "Your kit Lunar is fiery. She would match perfectly with Sesshomaru's cold indifference."

"Our lands would be joined." Akatsuki said with a smile.

"Our grandpups are going to be adorable. Silver hair with gold and silver eyes!" Inu no Taishō smirked imagining the sound of children running throughout the castle.

They tuned back in to see the two still going at it, their small fangs and claws bared their eyes tinted red as they threw insults at each other.

"I hate you!" Sesshomaru spat.

Lunar stopped fighting choosing instead to cock her head to the side and look at him. "Ouch that really hurt my feelings." She mocked.

Sesshomaru stopped fight as well glaring at her. "As if you have any…are you even a princess…"

She smirked. "Now see, when you say things like that I think you actually like me."

He snarled.

As she smirked turning her back on him. "But you don't have to worry about me. I don't exactly hate you…"

"You don't?" Sesshomaru asked curiously.

"No. but if you were on fire and I had water," She looked him dead in the eyes. "I'd sip it like the Lady I am, while watching you burn to nothing but ashes..."

Sesshomaru snarled before tackling her to the ground for the third time that day the guards and their retainers trying to restrain them.

Inu no Taishō flinched at Lunar's harsh words towards his son. That kit had a tongue on her, and Sesshomaru would definitely have his hands full on obtaining her affections.

Akatsuki also winced at his daughter's words; she was a spitfire just like her mother.

"We'll have cute grandpups...that is if they don't kill each other first." Akatsuki said causing both males to irrupt into laughter.

Every summer for as long as I could remember; I could remember I had been forced to spend over half of it at the western castle…

I didn't mind the Lord and Lady; their son however was a real pain.

We stood at the gates never waiting long, my mother and father once again had me dressed in a brand new kimono.

We bowed slightly to them and they bowed in return.

I resisted the urge to snap at my father when he pushed me towards Sesshomaru.

We met just like summers before in the middle glaring spitefully at each other.

"Lunar…" My father said in warning.

"Hello Prince Sesshomaru." I bit out while slightly curtsying.

"Hello Princess Lunar." He growled out the same. We glare at each other dreading what had to come next.

My body shook with rage as I had to lift my hand to his. I watched him through tinted red eyes as his eyes grew red as well.

He took a breath before quickly raising my hand to his lips and kissing it.

We both jumped away from each other hissing.

Our parents seemed to find it amusing. I swore whose ever sick and twisted idea it was for us to start doing that as way of greeting would pay…with their life.

"Lunar my darling you grow even more beautiful every summer…"

I smiled at Kimiko's comment before narrowing my eyes at Sesshomaru who scoffed.

"Lunar isn't the only one Sesshomaru grows quite handsome as well don't you think?" My mother asked me.

"Yes I do." I said making them all look at me including Sesshomaru.

"Just like a toad demon." I said with a vindictive smile.

He glared at me while my mother shook her head in disappointment.

"Lunar…"She said my name as a warning.

I sighed looking away.

Several days went by before my boredom got the best of me.

"Father may I go to the village?"

He smiled. "Sure." I cheered and almost made it out of the room before his next words sent me crashing. "As long as Sesshomaru goes with you."

I groaned. "On second thought...never mind."

"No I think its a good idea, right Inu no Taishō." My father said his eyes glinting as he looked towards his friend who smiled a glint also entering his golden eyes.

"I agree." He said before motioning for a servant to retrieve his son.

I tried to leave along with the servant but before I could reach the door my fathers tail wrapped around me before bringing me back to him.

Minutes later Sesshomaru walked in looking as pleased as I felt. "Father..."

"Why don't you accompany Princess Lunar into the Village, you two could use that time to get to know each other instead of fighting all the time." He said with a smile and a tone that didn't leave any room for argument.

Sesshomaru face was expressionless. "Fine."

I blinked surprised at his easy response. I was expecting him to put up more of a fight, I glared at him...he was supposed to put up more of a fight...what was he planning?

"Great." My father said before releasing me from his tail. I smoothed out my kimono and held my head high as I walked to his side.

We side eyed each other, both of us visibly tense. My eyes darkened as he took my hand and began pulling me towards the exits. "Let get going."
