I got this sudden idea for this cute short, and a big thanks to hiccups-are-better for the sweet words and encouragement! This one is a late birthday surprise! ... Very late! School has started back for me, but as usual I will try my best to get stuff typed and publish.
The wind was crisp and cold for the second day of April. It even snowed the night before and the young Arendelle princess clutched her winter coat closer to her person. Usually the cold would not bother her at all, but it would be weird to walk out with only a simple jacket after the sudden snow fall. Not to mention she has been waiting outside the cafe for a certain someone to arrive, and she could not hog a table by herself if others wanted to use them first.
Elsa sighed, turning her wrist to check the time on her watch. A quarter past twelve, and still no sign from-
"Elsa!"
The platinum blonde whipped head over to the voice that called her name. A easy smile took over her face seeing her date finally arrive. Making it to her side, her date coughed to catch his breath. Must have ran the whole way here.
"You're late."
"I know-I know! I'm so sorry *gasp* Just had *wheeze* run into some *cough* trouble-"
"Stop. Breathe first." Elsa waited patiently her late date to catch his breath, and when their eyes met, no hint of anger in her aquamarines. "Please don't apologize Daniel. I understand."
Said ghostboy looked up to Elsa knowing smile, and smirked back. Being a gentlemen he opened the door for Elsa and the two enjoy their time in the cafe with coffee drinks and cake. Elsa was more than happy to share her strawberries with Danny, but her poor date couldn't keep eye contact for more than three seconds without turning strawberry red himself. His hand over hers, Elsa was enjoying her time relaxing with her secret hero boyfriend and not one ghost to bother-
"BEWARE! I'm the box ghost!"
She thought that too soon.
"Oh great, can't he annoy a different coffee shop? Preferably not this one?" Danny groaned into his hand, not believing his luck today. First catching some strays that jump out of the portal at home, then having to almost become tone deaf because Ember wanted to share her latest song, and now the Box Ghost?! Danny mentally asked for just one good day to not worry about ghost fighting and enjoy an outing with his girlfriend- ONE GOOD DAY!
"Um, Daniel, don't you think you ate too much cake? That was a lot of sugar you just consumed." Danny looked up at Elsa's sweet smile and she delivered a quick wink. Realization sunk in quickly before he gave her small had a squeeze.
"Oh yeah, ouch! I think I need to go- I'll be right back!" Danny ran to bathrooms in the back before transforming into Amity Park's hero Danny Phantom. While the crowd cheered for their ghost hero to "save" them from the Box Ghost, Elsa watched the show in silence wearing a proud smile for her beau.
Phantom waved and left the cafe through the ceiling before arriving back into the bathrooms to appear again. "What happen? I heard a bunch of yelling and screaming." Danny retook his seat across the the pretty blonde.
"Oh you just miss him. Phantom got nabbed up some strange box ghost. It was a really fast show this time." Elsa informed Danny, placing her hand back on top of his. Danny sighed in fake sadness, and Elsa just giggled at her boyfriend's face. "Next time, dear. Maybe lay off the extra sugar?" the two shared a laugh before leaving the cafe together to enjoy their date.
You know, I like this idea a lot! Just might continue this! Next time! Sorry for the wait hiccus-are-better. Hope everyone is safe and is enjoying their semester back in school!
