The chains are broken.
(I don't own either Buffy the Vampire Slayer, A Song of Ice and Fire or Game of Thrones, please forgive any grammar and spelling errors I am Dyslexic and even with spell checker it's difficult for me to see them)
The blow should have been enough to knock a regular man twice Xanders size unconscious, Buffy wanting to be safe rather than sorry pulled her punch, but as soon as her dainty fist impacted Xanders head she knew instinctively that it wasn't enough, she had hit Xander once before when he was possessed by a primal hyena spirit, and when she had it was like hitting a fledgling the bone and muscle where denser beneath her knuckles she could feel his strength through her hand, now it was like hitting mechanized Moloch only stronger much stronger, she caught a glimpse of Xanders eyes as his head snapped back and they were glazed and cloudy he should have at least staggered back from her strike but only is head moved.
Xanders eyes seemed to focus for a second before they fell on Buffy, a deep menacing growl coming deep within Xanders chest, something deep and primal with in Buffy wanted to run and hide at the sound and even her Slayer instincts began to override her human need hold back because of her relationship with Xander, she could feel the familiar pulse of adrenalin flood her body as the Slayer within her kicked her body into overdrive, it was as if she was facing the master again.
"Rhaegar!" he roared, it was deep, it was primal and it scared Willow and Giles on a level reserved for demons and master level vampires, once again he lunged at Buffy.
(Xander POV)
Images danced in front of Xanders eyes his beloved, no Roberts beloved wasn't he Robert, no he was Xander wasn't he then gold danced before his eyes, it was him the dragon who stole his bride Rhaegar and with a roar he attacked the Fury was his and he would have his vengeance.
Then he felt the blow, it was more powerful than he remembered at the ford, but it would not be enough he would take him and destroy the Dragon, fire burned through his veins as his rage became the power that pumped in his heart he would not and could not stop for her, his beloved who he held above the gods.
(Buffy POV)
Xander should not be able to move that fast, her body was moving on its own divorcing her mind in order to fight more effectively and more savagely, but Xander was somehow keeping up with her she went for his eyes he blocked hammering her in the ribs, quickly she drove the point of her knee into his gut right in the diaphragm trying to wind Xander and slow him down.
