Thank you guys so much for the reviews, they are deeply appreciated.

"There are hundreds of names here, every single witch that passed through this place." Zoe spoke as she turned the pages with gentle care. Names upon names, where they were from…the years they attended school. Honey eyes scanned the aged pages, her face in complete awe. Kyle couldn't stop staring at her, the way the flame of the candle flickered across her face. She was always beautiful to him, it was impossible to think she could be any more…and yet she was. Kyle had given her the book after he had his mourning and calmed down. Zoe was immediately interested, taking the book and looked through them while they sat in the library.

"I just can't believe it," Zoe continued. "There was so many of us…now there are hardly any of us left."

"Fear was always a witch's weakness, Myrtle told me that," Kyle explained. "Religious fanatics…being deemed a freak…I felt the same way when I realized I was a part of a dying breed too. Back in the day, we were considered deities to humans. Now, we are either killed or become an experiment. Maybe eating the fruit of knowledge was not such a great thing."

"Do you ever want to? You know…find other wolves?" Zoe asked. Kyle simply shrugged.

"I accepted what was given; some wolves are just not meant to be found you know?" Kyle looked at her with a small smile. "You don't need big numbers of the same thing to be a pack…or a coven. I like to think real pack is the people you love and trust."

"So, this coven is your pack?" Zoe asked with a small smile.

"It's been my pack since I was 13," Kyle smiled back, and then thought of something. "Try it."

Zoe looked at him, slightly confused. "Try what?" She asked.

"Divination, try it," Kyle explained.

"Kyle…I don't know how," Zoe shook her head, but Kyle wasn't having it.

"You really do think too much," Kyle smirked. "When you did what you did with the zombies, were you thinking then?"

"Well…no but…"

"No buts about it Zo, you got it…you just have to believe it in yourself." Kyle encouraged. "Try it…try to find a family member." The way he called her Zo, made her heart flutter. His eyes were so full of passion and determination, he believed in her. She looked at the book, then back up at him. Closing her eyes her hand hovered over the pages. At first, there was nothing…Zoe could feel her frustration. Suddenly it happened, a flash of something. Then another…another after that. The flashes get going faster and faster, showing a number…93. Then another flash…words…black widow. Zoe's eyes fell open, looking at the book then quickly turned to the page.

"Holy shit," she breathed. This catches Kyle's attention. "I found it…I found her!"

"Who?" Kyle stood up, walking over and sat next to her so he could see.

"Her name was Hazel Wilcox; she had the same thing I had. I remember my mom saying something about a great grandmother." Zoe's eyes bore into the page, almost burning a hole in it.

"Well…and maybe I'm wrong, but if she had the same thing you had…how are you able to call her your great grandmother?" Kyle asked. Zoe was just as curious, looking at the page some more. Right next to the power wrote something in Latin. Turning her head she got up, looking at the bookshelf. Holding out her hand out again, closing her eyes for a sign. Her hand waved over each book, finally feeling a sort of dinging sensation. She opened her eyes and pulled the book, flipping through the pages until she found it.

"I found it…I found how she did it!" Zoe rushed to the table, showing Kyle just what she was talking about. "According to this, the black widow power was a form of defense. Like if a guy attacks you or whatever, that's why the death is so gruesome. But someone made a trick to keep the power under wraps unless needed. 'The Lotus Test, the most mentally tiring yet the most rewarding for the witch cursed with the black widow.' All we gotta do is find some lotus flower and so like a…protection spell of some kind."

"Protection for what?" Kyle asked, feeling his heart racing.

"Um…seems like, controlling the power all together is impossible. But, the protection spell can protect only one person. Usually someone you…you plan to be with forever." Zoe blushed a bit, looking over at Kyle. "So much for keeping it under control."

"Zoe…it's not a total bad thing is it? Kinda romantic actually. Being able to be with someone you love…"Kyle looked at her, trying his hardest not to be excited about it. He could be that someone, wolves were possessive to begin with…this would be no problem.

"Yeah, like I could make that kind of decision. I mean…I don't even know what love is," Zoe bit her bottom lip, shutting the book. "I appreciated this Kyle…but I guess this is a sign I'm meant to just be alone."

"Zoe wait," before she could walk out Kyle gently touched her hand. "Don't think that…don't ever think that. You're strong, and kind…beautiful. Anyone would be damn lucky to be chosen by you. You deserve someone who will stick by you, protect you without smothering you. You need someone who does their damndest to let you know how much you mean to them. How seeing your face every day makes them so happy to be alive. How before you…there was nothing but existence." Zoe looked up at him, shocked at his passion toward her. He kept looking at her, seeing her so wide eyed and fragile. The wolf in him wanted to hold her, protect her, let her know he was the one. He leaned forward, trying to lean in for a kiss…but Zoe gasped, leaning away slightly from him. It hurt…stung in fact. It had to be shining all over his face.

"Guess I'm not it huh?" Kyle spoke, feeling his heart break.

"Kyle, I…" she began but Madison came in. Whenever Madison came in, it was like the life got sucked out of the room.

"There you are! You've been avoiding me," Madison smirked, walking up toward Kyle.

"Figure you were busy with your catch of the day," Kyle replied, his voice a bit hard.

"Eh I got bored, wanna fuck around? I'm feeling to do a little doggy style…oh hey Zoe! Didn't see you there," Madison smirked, but Zoe wanted to puke. "I got an idea! Maybe we can do a little threesome, oh wait…I forgot, you can't do anything with anyone can you?" Zoe could feel the tears swell in her eyes; she just simply walked out before it would be obvious to see. She wanted it to be Kyle…she wanted it in the worst way. But she couldn't ask that from him, not with Madison.

"Thank God she's gone," Madison muttered but Kyle sort of pushed her.

"What the fuck is your problem?" He muttered.

Madison just scoffed, as if he had nerve to do such a thing. "She's fine; she knows what she's got. I don't see why it's such a sensitive thing."

"No, you taunt her about it," Kyle replied. "What has she ever done to you?"

"Oh please, she's a bleep to me. What I don't understand is why you are following her around like some lost puppy." Madison rolled her eyes. "Not like she can give you what I obviously can." Kyle growled, causing her bitchy façade to slip just a snag.

"What you give me is a headache," he replied, moving to walk past her. "I'm tired of being your little fuck toy, the only reason why I agreed because I felt lonely. But not anymore, I'm done. Find another slave to abuse." He walked to find Zoe, but he couldn't find her anywhere.

"Kyle!" Cordelia called from the stairs, Kyle told her he was coming and decided maybe Zoe needed to be alone.

Zoe walked on down the streets of New Orleans, her arms crossed from the slight cool breeze. People were buzzing around, it was amazing people were still partying, even in the day. Just then she noticed a familiar face, Misty. She was stuffing all this garden stuff in her bag; she had been MIA from the school ever since the burning, course no one was asking where she had gone to.

"Misty?" Zoe called, seeing the blonde look up in surprise.

"Oh hey Zoe!" Misty smiled. "What brings you out into the world?"

"Kinda needed space to breathe…what about you? Are you alright?" Zoe asked. "You've kinda been missing.

"Oh yeah totally! In fact…would you be willing to go to the swamps with me? I wanna show you something." Misty grabbed her hand. Zoe just allowed it; with the swamp witch…there was absolutely no telling. Misty's second home from the city was her own personal Eden. It was a tropical paradise with different types of gardens. But what really stood out was the huge mound, white petals sprinkled over it. It sort of looked like a fresh grave. Zoe watched Misty walk up to the mound, taking a water bucket and sprinkled water over it. Just then, Zoe noticed something moving in the mound…a hand was poking out.

"Ah, ah. Not yet Miss Myrtle, you still need a couple of hours to cook you up," Misty instructed, patting the mud back in place.

"Myrtle? Myrtle's in there?" Zoe asked in shock.

"Well, yeah," Misty laughed a bit. "After the fire I took her out here and put some mud on her. The swamp mud here, its mother nature's work at its best."

"Does Cordelia know about this?" Zoe asked.

"Know? She wanted me to do it," Misty replied. "Before the trial…she told me to keep Myrtle safe until the time was right. She doesn't trust Fiona one bit, neither do I…she's got bad energy."

"Wait…time for what?" Zoe asked.

Misty just looked at her, a look of awe almost upon her face. "Fiona's dying…that only means one thing."

"Do you have any clue who it might be?" Kyle asked Cordelia as he guided her to her bedroom from her office.

"At this point, it could be anyone. Madison has shown signs…but so has Zoe. Either way…knowing Fiona she will find any way she can to kill the competition, she simply doesn't want to be Supreme…she wants to be God." Cordelia simply stated. Kyle just looked at her; if Madison was Supreme…the whole coven would be screwed. But Zoe…if she was the Supreme…

"I would be careful; Fiona can smell betrayal from a mile away. You will give Zoe out,"Cordelia warned, a small smile appeared on her face. "This new power is giving me images I do not care to see from you about your growing infatuation." From being blind, Cordelia gained a rare ability, the power of seeing into the future. With Nan she can only see so far, with Cordelia she could see 100 years into the future if she focused hard enough. Except of course, the fate of the future Supreme…that it seemed was uncertain, even for the fates.

Kyle gave a sad smile, shaking his head. "Wouldn't matter anyway…she doesn't want me."

"What are earth are you talking about?" Cordelia asked.

"We found a way to get her power under control…but it's only saved for one person. It's not me, I tried to kiss her and she pulled away. Then of course Madison came in and it got worse."

"Well that's great isn't it?" Misty asked as she gave Zoe a cup of tea. "I mean, finding someone to spend the rest of your life with…that's super romantic!"

"It is I just…the only guy I could really consider…it would never work." Zoe shook her head, staring down at her tea.

"Kyle," Misty spoke, causing Zoe's head to shoot back up. "Oh come on you are both so obvious it was almost frustrating. I'll admit, it kinda hurt knowing I could never be with you…" Zoe opened her mouth to speak but Misty held up her hand. "It's fine Zoe; I like the idea of being your friend more. You're like the Christine to my Stevie!"

"Well, even if that's true…there's Madison, she and him…have this thing…"

"They don't have anything but sex Zo," Misty argued. "Being where he came from being used was all he ever knew. But something changed in him…the moment he saw you."

"How do you know that?" Zoe asked.

"Nan's right…you are really clueless!" Misty laughed.

"She thinks you are with Madison," Cordelia stated, but her face twisted in disbelief.

"Well, Madison comes on way too strong," Kyle replied. "I really regret I even agreed to being involved with her…but I thought I'd never find that feeling. I didn't even know what that feeling was. Then I saw Zoe…and something changed in me. Myrtle noticed it…Nan obviously saw it. But it doesn't matter now…"

"But…surely if you explained it to her," Cordelia reasoned.

"Even if I did it wouldn't matter, she pulled away from me. She doesn't want me." Kyle argued.

"He doesn't like me like that! Not enough to be tied to me forever and ever," Zoe argued.

"Zoe you never even asked!" Misty replied. "I knew Kyle used to walk around, really quiet. But once I got to know him I realized how lonely he was. You gotta understand Zo, he had the family…the protection. But the wolf in him craved a mate, a partner. Wolves are deeply monogamous, doesn't matter who it is…if they feel it, they know. You two belong together; you just got to quit thinking!"

"Why does everyone keep saying that?" Zoe gritted her teeth in frustration. "I do not overthink!"

"Yes you do, you gotta let what happened to get you here go. If I dwelled on my own family burning me alive I'd never be at peace. What happened before, that's what happened…you have to leave that there. Here, you can start anew, be with someone who actually knows what you are and gets you. The sooner you figure that out, we'll all be at peace."

Zoe hated to admit it, but Misty was sort of right. She was shaken to the core with what had happened, and now she got this chance…why won't she take her happiness just once?

"What do you need for the spell?" Misty asked, pulling Zoe out of her thoughts.

"I…I don't remember most, the lotus flower of course but…"

"I'll find it, just bring the spell and we'll work it here," Misty interrupted. "Just tell 'Delia that Myrtle is almost done, and I'll come back with her once she does okay?" She reached out, taking Zoe's hand. "Go and get your man."

Zoe smiled a bit, patting Misty's hand before getting up. Promising she would return Zoe walked back to the house, but once she got there she noticed someone waiting by the door. A man of some sort…well dressed, but he kinda had a creepy face according to her.

"Ah miss, do you happen to live in this humble abode?" The man asked, "I'm looking for the woman of the house, Miss. Goode I believe."

"Oh um, yeah but I have no idea where she's at, she usually doesn't stay here all that much. I can tell her you came by Mister…"

"Fredrick, Fredrick Samuels at your service." He took off his hat, in some sort of bow.

"Right…I'll tell her then!" Zoe quickly went in and shut the door, that dude was beyond creepy.

"Zo!" Kyle's voice echoed down the stairs as he came toward her. "I was going to come look for you, look about Madison. Listen, I don't know what you think but I don't like her like that, we just fucked around. I don't feel nothing for her like I…"

Zoe interrupted him with her lips pressed against his. Zoe Benson, the girl who was too scared to let anyone in because she felt too dangerous, was going to take hold of her own destiny. She was done overthinking; for once…she just wanted to feel. She felt him stiff at first, but soon became soft, leaning into against her as he returned the kiss. It did quickly get deep, his hands holding her by the waist as a deep growl rumbled in his chest. He even whimpered when she pulled away, causing her to laugh and give him another gentle kiss.

"Not that I'm complaining…"Kyle's voice was soft, his Adam's apple bobbed when he swallowed. "But um…what was that for?"

"Misty is going to help me with the spell," Zoe replied. "I…I want to, I know this is really short noticed. I mean, we haven't been on a date or anything I just…I like you Kyle, a lot and I…I really just want…" she didn't get a chance to finally express what she was trying to say. Kyle had her pinned against the wall, kissing her with a passion she never thought one could give in a kiss. But fuck did he know how to kiss! She heard him growl again, but it was different then the threatening growls he usually gave to people. It was almost like a purr of some sort, that with the heated look he gave her when he pulled away…needless to say Zoe never thought she would find that kind of noise sexy.

"You have no idea how happy I am to finally hear you say that," Kyle laughed, his face melting her heart instantly. They just stood there for a while, basking in their energy. "How long do you think the spell will take?" Kyle finally asked.

"No idea, I gotta tell Cordelia about something then I'm heading back to the swamps with the spell. Then…I'll come back and…whenever we are ready to, I mean whenever you are."

"Oh I am, trust me," Kyle assured her with a smirk. "I gotta do some stuff myself…and when you come back…we'll go from there. I'm just thrilled to finally kiss you."

"Yeah, I'm so sorry about pulling back from you earlier…"

"Don't worry about it," Kyle interrupted her. "But…I may not be so forgiving if you ever do that again."

"I promise…that will be last time. Well, I do need to breathe every now and then." Kyle laughed at that, stealing another kiss from Zoe's lips. "Do what you gotta do babe." Zoe felt her heart melting once again, fuck this guy was going to be the death of her. After her conversation with Cordelia about Myrtle and the plot of getting Fiona for good, Zoe found the spell she was looking for and began searching for the ingredients. Certain plants from the greenhouse, a piece of Kyle's hair that Zoe found beyond odd. But Kyle was quick to give her a cut of his blonde lock. When she arrived back Misty had already had the ritual in place for them. For the first time, Zoe was a tad nervous…more nervous then she had ever felt. What if the spell back fired? What if once it happened Kyle would change his mind?

"You ready?" Misty asked, lighting the last candle. "Just lay down on the ground okay?" Zoe could only nod, laying in the drawn pentagram Misty drew with candles to mark each point. Taking the piece of paper which held the spell along with the ingredients, Misty placed the lotus just below Zoe's stomach. "Nervous?"

"Terrified," Zoe replied.

"We got this, and then you and Kyle can make cute little witch puppies," Misty smiled, causing Zoe to simply blush with a head shake. She took a deep breath, turning her head to watch Misty mix the hair and herbs together in sort of a green paste. The smell alone was beginning to be too much, almost causing Zoe to gag.

"Okay, you gotta drink this," Misty instructed, which Zoe shook her head no. "Zoe, in order for this to work you gotta drink! Think about it as bad medicine, come on." She made a face, but she allowed Misty to down the concoction down her throat. This of course made her gag but Misty forced her to swallow it all. "There…that was the rough part. Now all I want you to do is picture Kyle in your mind, only him…you can't be distracted. Focus on Kyle and Kyle alone."

Zoe closed her eyes, taking another breath as she began to think. She thought from the very beginning, how she felt seeing him for the very first time. Suppose it was love at first sight, the way he looked at her…even then. She heard the chanting of Misty, feeling the presence of her hands over her lower stomach. But Zoe remained focused, picturing every moment she and Kyle had together…how they would after that. No more blood…no more watching him writhe in pain. He would be fine; she would finally have the love she always wanted. Then it hit her…Nan, Nan's prediction. It was true…she was falling in love; he wasn't like anything she ever experienced. Not just what he was, but how he made her feel just by being in his presence. A smile appeared on her face, she can only imagine what he was doing right now.

"Zoe, open your eyes," Misty instructed. Her eyes flew open; a wave of panic appeared in her mind again. She didn't feel any different…did they miss something. "Okay, let's see if it works," she said, taking the flower in her hands. "I'm going to hover it up from your head down to the destination. If it withers then…I'm sure there are other ways." Zoe gulped, watching Misty over the flower over her head. Traveling lower, and lower. Her head lifted to see the result…please don't wither. Please. It hovered over her lower stomach where it last laid, and yet…nothing was happening. The lower Misty got, the flower had yet to change!

"Thank the goddess," Misty sighed with relief. "It worked…it worked!" It worked? Zoe slowly sat up, seeing the unchanged flower.

"So…what happens now?" She asked.

"You go back there and you jump that boy's bones is what you're going to do!" Misty laughed, pulling Zoe into a big hug. "I'm so happy for you…you knew will share nothing but sheer happiness. Now go…go find Kyle. I would like details too." Zoe laughed, but she got up. Hugging Misty again in a thank you and stepped out of the shack. This was it…she was going to test this new remedy. She just hoped it didn't fail.
