Mighty Heavens, hear my call,
Put together my reflection torn,
A girl's voice could be heard singing in the dark.
Open the gates of the mirror of light,
Which is embraced by the frame of dark.
Mighty Heavens, hear my call,
Breathe in to me and give me a soul,
I don't want to be a reflection at all,
I want to be alive, have a life to enjoy,
I want to live, laugh and fly,
I want to spread my wings across the sky!
Mighty Heavens ruling all,
Once You breathed into me and gave me a soul,
You gave me wings that I wished to enjoy,
But then and there You left me alone.
Against their "hunger" I tried to fight,
And You still left me behind,
I stood up against their violence all alone,
And they took everything: my wings, my soul…
I became a reflection again,
I tried to resist but I failed.
Mighty Heavens ruling all,
Don't let me down and hear my call!
Enlight the gates of the mirror of lights,
That is embraced by the frame of dark,
Put togather my reflection torn,
Give me back my wings and my soul…
After the song the darkness around changed slowly into crimson. Something sparked in the half-crimson, half-dark void. It had the form of a cutting object, it resembled a knife but it wasn't a knife. Screams and shouts could be heard from everywhere, it looked like they surrounded you and tried to get into your mind, wanting to bleed it out. The atmosphere there was straining and frightening. But the most irritating thing remained those voices, screams and shouts. And soon, among the dark fog, a silhouette appeared. It wasn't clear who it was. But from the figure you could state it was a man and all. Nothing else was perceivable. The silhouette moved unsurely and took the knife-looking good object in his hands and shook it. The silhouette aimed at something. At that point the shouts and screams went louder. And finally, acquiring its' target, the silhouette threw the sharp object…. The shouts and screams were getting louder and louder until the object found itself hanging into something, or rather somebody. This latter person let out one last scream and tried to normalize their breath. It seemed they achieved it and normalised their breath but, it only seemed. The shouts and screams for this person were gone for sure. All they could hear was the heartbeats that were getting slower at every beat.
"HAVE YOU EVER LIVED?!"
The girls and boys were sleeping peacefully after some kind of a discussion that would continue the next morning. Though the whole house was silent, a slight whimpers could be heard from a room. But these whimpers weren't so loud to wake the entire house. In her room filled with dark a girl was sleeping in her bed but, unlike the others, not peacefully. The moonlight, that filled her room for a short while, made some glassy objects near the girl, reflect the moon's silver-blue light. The moonlight reached the girl's blonde lock that were flowing down the bed making them shine until the silver prism hid itself behind the dark clouds again. The restless girl moved continuously left and right trying to find a convenient place in het soft pillow, but it was useless. She was breathing hard and sweating. It was clear to presume she was having a nightmare. A horrendous one. Moving and shifting herself, she placed or rather threw her arms at the glassy bottles and a cup filled with water on the table that was situated near her bed. Her slight whimpers gradually died out as her breathing got more difficult and harder at each pace. Even still in nightmares she felt losing her breath and her heartbeats slowing down. The girl knew she had to wake up or she'd never ever do. It was like she was at some kind of a race with her breath. Her heart stopped beating for a short moment. But that until she made it and jump out of, rather than woke up from her nightmare because of a sound that resembled breaking. It wasn't loud enough to wake the others but was enough to save her life. Holding her chest as if her heart she rushed towards the window as she could hardly catch het breath and she felt thirst of air. She quickly opened the window that faced the darkness and began to inhale the fresh air hurriedly and greedily. She forgot to exhale the oxygen for a moment as her hunger was bigger and the fear didn't leave her, not yet. While trying to stabilize her breath she felt her whole body shivering in fear. It was hard for her body to keep her standing. That's why she leaned on the wall and her head out of the window keeping the flow of the oxygen into her lungs. She had no idea why she had those nightmares and why they had such an impact on her. It seemed she stabilized her breathing until one thing that her eyes caught made her again stop breathing for a while. At first that thing attracted some innocent curiosity as she asked herself what that was and where it came from. That thing was on the window's glass and had reddish colour. Her eyes then got wide as she followed the trace the reddish thing left and they led to her. Filling hard she bowed her head and looked at her arms that were crossed on her chest. Another shiver met her body as she slowly moved away her arms and saw them and her chest covered in that red fish thing but her arms, her palms… the reddish thing, the liquid was still flowing out, dropping down. She froze there with her widening eyes on her crimson arms. She couldn't move, all she could do that time is trying letting that fear, that horror and insecurity out.
"AAAAAAAAA…."she screamed making the whole house wake up. Confused the girls were the first to enter her room.
"Stella?" they asked while entering. Tecna turned the lights on and gasped at the scene. Flora closed her mouth with her hand to hold back the shout that was to come out. Others stood in shock. They saw their friends room in a mess. From the bed to the window there was crimson liquid. That colour covered the table that was near the bed and had already broken pieces of glass. Literally, nothing on that table was safe: the bottles, the cup,… everything was broken. Some of the shards were on the floor. And those broken shards were covered with crimson. In front of the window they saw their friend collapsed down hopelessly and desperately with her back to them and looking at something. Silence. Bloom came up to her slowly.
"Stella, what's happened?"she asked. Flora and Aisha, Roxy followed Bloom, while Musa, Tecna and Rina went to examine the table.
"STELLA, WHAT'S UP?!" Bloom shouted as she saw her friend in blood. Her PJs' top, the chest place was in blood, her arms were cut and bleeding. Stella didn't answer, she wasn't mentally there. At that moment Lidia came in and hurried to them.
"What's wrong?" she asked worriedly, after looking at "frozen" Stella.
"We don't know. We heard someone scream and came here." Aisha replied. She tried to stay calm and nit panic like Tecna. The boys came in too.
"Girls, what happened?" Sky asked.
"What the-" Riven was cut off by that scenery.
"SIS!" Sam rushed towards his sister. "Come on, Stella, SAY SOMETHING!" he unconsciously began to shout as Stella remained quiet and didn't move.
"Idiot, that won't help! She's not in that state, don't you see!" Brandon condemned.
"Shut it, I didn't ask your opinion, squier!" Sam hissed.
"I wasn't telling it!"
"No one cares!"
Others tried to calm the two as they were to fight.
"Zip it, you two and help me place her on the bed!" Lidia told with anger after examining Stella.
They dud as they were told. Flora went after remedies and Aisha after water as the latter was asked by Lidia.
"But how did this happen?" Helia asked.
"To my mind," started Tecna,"she had her arms cut with these glassy objects near her table. There were some bottles and a cup with water. Perhaps she did a move in her sleep that broke these and cut her arms. And she went to the window with her arms already cut. "
"I'll clean the mass." Rina said and snapped her fingers. Blue and white sparkles appeared and made the mess vanish.
Lidia examined Stella's arms many times to make sure there was no piece of glass in her cuts. At that moment Flora and Aisha came with appropriate stuffs. Flora treated the blonde's wounds and then let Lidia do her job. The latter with waterbending lifted the water Aisha brought and 'tied' it around Stella's arms. The blonde winced from pain.
"See, what your beloved bottles did to you!" Sam criticized.
"It's them again!" Stella managed to say. "They and those nightmares!"
"Who? What nightmares?" Tecna asked.
"I don't know, don't remember. I didn't see their faces, only their shadows…. I don't remember anything! … But I remember someone getting out their sharp knife-like objector a dagger or I don't, and stabbing it on my… on my…" she trembled as she remembered and felt it all again. She held on her chest and closed her eyes trying to focus her strength on her words.
"Stella, calm down, it was just a bad dream." Bloom tried to comfort her friend. "I'm sure, there is no need to wo…"
"I DIED!" the blonde screamed. " I could feel my breathing stop and die…" she closed her face with her bandaged hands. "When I woke up, I felt no air in the room and opened the window, but… at that time…" she looked at her hands again recalling the events and then burying her face into her hands again. All Bloom could do was patting her friend's back.
"What they want from me?" the girl said through tears. "I don't want to see it all again."
"Shhh, You won't see. Now calm yourself down." Her fiancée's soft voice came out as he sat himself beside her.
"You don't understand, it was more like a memory than a nightmare! What if I really died, what if they want to kill me? What if I killed myself?" she barely talked as those sentences came out so shaky.
"I won't let any one harm you. I promise you. Now you need some rest, sunshine, calm down and go to sleep."
"No! No,no! I don't want to. I'm going to kill myself, and I don't want it." She said with tears rolling and shaking her head.
"No you won't! As I'll be here checking on you." He grabbed her trembling and shaking hands with one hand and hugged her shaking body with the other. He could sense fear all over her being. "I won't let these hands get covered in red ever again." He said looking at her bandaged hands and holding them tight but not so to hurt her and gave her a reassuring smile. Stella shook her head again in fear. "Sunshine, do you trust me?" the girl nodded in yes. "I'll protect you, I promise." Again that life-giving smile that lit a little hope inside her heart as she calmed a little. He wiped her years from both eyes as he hate seeing a single tear in those eyes that were to be filled with only happiness. She buried her face in his chest seeking security in there and she found some as her shaking body tried to calm down.
Others minded their business and soon got out still wondering what was all that about?
"Do you think it all is caused by the sisters?" Musa asked.
"I wouldn't exclude that version. Or may be by that unknown man?" Roxy assumed.
"Don't know but a lot of strange things happen: the quest for the ball, these strange people, that insane PM, an unknown man from nowhere, unrest in Magic Dimension and plus Stella's nightmares that try to kill her." Aisha noted.
"In addition we've been here for a long time but didn't get any clue of the ball." Tecna put it.
"Well, learning some facts about that PM, you guys, could start from him." Sky offered.
"But why from him?" Riven suddenly asked.
"Cause you told us about what he did when an earthquake happened. I think there's something more than he wants to show. It's just such a pity that I can't be with you guys."
"Don't worry, Sky, now Eraklyon needs you more." Flora said.
"By the way, Bloom, did you call Daphne?" Tecna asked.
"Yes, she said there was no worry and I could stay here to help you, but I'm not sure. Ms. Faragonda told me the same too, that we should concentrate on our mission here."
"We should find the ball as fast as we can, so that we could go to our realms and help out our relatives." Musa said. At that moment Tecna walked up to her computers and gadgets.
"Easier said than done." She said looking at the map of the region. "Timmy's and my locator can't find any trace of unknown power."
"Don't lose hope, Tec, you and Timmy can do it, I'm sure of it!" Bloom said putting her hand on Tecna's shoulder.
"Thanks Bloom." Tecna said and smiled.
As Lidia listened carefully to what Stella had said, she found her story similar to the one she had lived through. Sam and Rina could say Lidia knew something as her expression reflected it. Lidia was the first to leave the room with Sam after her.
"I see you knew that incident very well." Sam said as they stood apart the others so that only the two of them could have the conversation. Lidia nodded in response. "That knife-like sharp object… was it dad's Heaven shade kunai?" Lidia again nodded her head.
"What's scaring me is that her and the crow's memory are being mixed." She finally said in a low voice looking at a point.
"Because you'll have to find courage and tell her the truth?" Sam asked folding his arms. This time Lidia shook her head.
"No, because the consequences are unexpected." After a short pause she asked. "You must have been studied about the jinchiurikis, right?" This time Sam nodded. "Than you know the real fate of jinchuurikis, that they are nothing more but a weapon of mass destruction, and they were used against each country and community by powerful states that wanted to spread their influence. It's been more than 50 years that jinchuurikis are considered illegal by the Holy Order and if a state or a community had secretly jinchuuriki, they were taken under retaliations and those jinchuuriki were deceased."
"Damn that Order, they are fearing them because jinchuurikis could be used against them! That's not right, because NONE of them and my IS A WEAPON!" he said and left.
Meanwhile….
"You didn't answer my question." Edison said in a rough and serious tone. "And I don't like intruders in my house." The woman just smirked at his comments and sighed saying: "Watch your tone, mortal, you are not talking to an intruder, to your greatest pleasure, now you are talking to a GODDESS!"For a moment she looked at him the way Edison could feel his body freezing from fear but he shrugged it off quickly.
"A goddess?" he laughed at that not believing. "You don't seem one. Or if you are, then you are horses of what?" he continued laughing and took a sup of his drink.
"Hm, very interesting." The woman thought analysing Edison and not even confused at his actions. She just watched him and smirked as she was there to put some puzzles together. She just needed to find the right sentence. "Looks like you're enjoying your especially UNIQUE SUPERNATURAL nature!"she said while placing her pointing finger at her smirking lips. That was it! The sentence made Edison more serious as he stopped laughing. But he tried to not show his confusion.
"Is that a compliment? Thank you." He took another sip of his drink showing his calmness.
"You may take it as my first and small compliment but reallyI don't care. What concerns me is that so many people of this place have that UNIQUE SUPERNATURAL ability that's derived from the SAM thing as YOURS!" Again the second perfect sentence! It made Edison stop drinking his whiskey as he looked towards the woman. He tried to look into her eyes and w the ideas that crossed her mind, but her look, as if guessing, didn't let him do so.
"I don't understand what you are talking about." He said calmly. It was unbelievable, his every step of confusing this woman was defeated by her as she began clapping her hands still smirking as if appreciating something.
"Bravo, you have a good experience! Such actors like you always achieve their goals by, for example, in this case, inspiring people that having strangenesses, like you like to say, is a threat to their society as, who knows if they are enemies. And this is happening when their beloved and trusted leader IS THE ONE WHO HAS THOSE STRANGENESSES and IS REALLY PROUD OF THAT. What, want to be the only and unique one? A god? Aren't you, mortal afraid of the fury of real ones? Aren't you afraid of being self-destructed?"the last sentences was more like a rhetorical one. Now it was her turn to laugh.
"I see, you are one of them, or one of those WINX!" Edison stated trying to be calm. "Then didn't why Likana provide any information about this woman?" he thought.
"I have already told you who I am." The woman said. "Looks like his getting angry. I should be more as I haven't fully recover my strength, plus 'it' has a destructive power capable of vanquishing any thing and anybody with no exception. One slight and wrong word and I'm doomed."
"What you want?" Edison asked firmly.
"To save you." She said.
"I didn't get." He said confused. He felt like he was an open book to this person, something that had never happened to him.
"To save you from that object, that gives you power, that circle-shaped object." Abe suddenly stood and slowly wandered around the room having both serious and smirking faces. She noticed that the last part of her sentence made him tensed as he clenched the glass in his hands. "It has a destructive power in it and besides a simple and undeveloped body isn't able to preserve it's tremendous power as the scales are too different. Your body and soul are going to end up exploded if you continue to take its power." She stopped at a big fancy French clock with statues of a man and a woman aside. There was the clock's door between them. Meanwhile Edison walked to his stable and placed his glass on it. He patted the marble brown-black ball on a marble brown-black plate. He did this every time when he wanted to calm himself down.
"Won't your body and soul get exploded?" he asked watching her from behind as he was standing with his back towards hers.
"I don't like to repeat one sentence for some tome, but as you're so curious, I'll give the opportunity to you, to get the answer which us no, since I'm a goddess. Besides, magical, mythical, spiritual and other creatures that people of this planet relate to myths and fairy tales, have some stages of developed scale that is able to preserve some quantity of a power. The more developed this scale is, the more quantity of power it's able to preserve." She said looking at the watch. She didn't understand why it took her attention. Then she added. "Besides the object belongs to me." She lied.
"What makes you think the object you're looking for is here in this place?" Edison asked not taking his eyes off her.
"Because it's been about 60 or so, if I'm not mistaken, since people here got supernatural abilities. It would have been caused only by the activating of the object. It was sealed in a cave and perhaps you found it and by this activating its power that spread throughout this region. People got affected by it as you did."
"You're wrong, because, as you've mentioned, it has been 60 or so years ago, and I'm 32. I couldn't have been born by that time. "he said smirking and laughing. But even this didn't confuse her as she turned her head to him smirking and with a i-know-your-being look, "Dear Edison, you are talking to a goddess, to the one that knows the secrets of beauty, youth and longevity."
"If you were a real one, then you should have found your object easily by this time."he turned to her and said calmly. "So, you still remain an intruder." The woman laughed walking up to him.
"I wanted it to be in a good way and offered you may help, but you refused it and want the bad way. So, know that no one can save you now and you'll the one who will end your life. I warmed you." She said walked up to the window. "By the way, very nice clocks!" she said in a strange voice that tensed Edison again. Sakura leaves began to spin around her until she disappeared with laughter.
"Become the god of this world? Why not?" Edison thought to himself as he was left alone.
The woman teleported her to a place near Edison's house as her powers as have been mentioned weren't fully recovered.
"That man will surely end himself as I fuelled his hunger."she thought. "But until then it would be harder to get the ball. It's either the ball will absorb him or on the other hand. And before ending his life he will try to find me and get rid of me which will happen if don't take my next step. I need to get rid of him first and get the ball. But I can't do it all by myself, I need someone to do it on behalf of me."
"Oh, look who's here." A female voice was heard. The woman knew the speaker and she was the last person the woman wanted to see right now.
"Oh, Likana, again here, huh? Are you like have feelings for that mortal?" the woman said laughing. Likana didn't like that comment.
"Watch your tongue, Magda, as it sometimes works before your brain does."
"Oh, dear, don't you know that my tongue and my brain aren't on the same board?" she teased sarcastically.
"Now I'm regretting not telling Master your location. As you know what he does to traitors."
"Traitor?"
"Yes, a traitor. I, actually, don't understand on whose side you are. I admit it, you provided helpful information about the Winx, but your other actions speak that you're on their side. Why are you here? Are you their spy now?" Suddenly Likana felt her body tied up by something moving. It was roots from the ground that tied her tight while Magda approached her until their faces met each others. With a serious and deadly voice and expression, Magda told her "victim", who was struggling to get free.
"Listen here, wannabe, I don't care what your outmoded so called master think of me! He became my bitter enemy since he dared to take something precious from me. Do you know what happens to those who dare to cross my way? Perhaps you don't imagine as you never knew for real, you heard of me from rumours. But I know you, I know a lot about you all. I am the one who survived in many wars and battles, through unrests and turmoils. I was the one who became the keeper of the power of Elemental Phoenix by myself. I was the one, who knows a lot about your seat master and his intentions. I know a lot about the secret functions of the Holy Order. I was the one who survived the cursed makrel seal-spell of a future goddess. And I was the one who broke that seal-spell after 21 years. I was the one who is able to kill both a body and a soul by one spell. I was the one who can contact with the spiritual world, I was the one who can create elementals, like you, I was the one who dared to deceive my fate and the almighty spell of the mighty three-legged crow. I was and I'm now! YOUR MASTER FEARS ME!" The ties got tighter and tighter until they covered Likana's whole body, leaving only her neck open. "Now KNEEL before Magda Morganna!" the roots made Likana collapsed on her knees. Magda then held her neck saying:"In addition, I am the one who is grel and heartless to captives and victims and don't care about such word like humanism."Her grip got tighter as Likana felt choking. "I could easily break your soft and fragile neck, but won't as you have to convey a message to your master. " She eased her grip and leaned to Likana." Tell him, that Megami (Goddess) Magda Morganna doesn't forgive any one." Then she took away her hand from Likana's neck who started coughing. Magda got stood still again. "Next time watch your tongue as it works faster than your brain." She cited her and did a move with her hand that made the roots release Likana. The letter collapsed. "By the way, don't trust that mortal of a Edison too much as he tricks you."
"No one.. Can trick… me" Likana barely said as she couldn't stop coughing. Magda shook het head with a soft smirk.
"He is, he preserves something precious at his house."
"Impossible, I was there and didn't see anything suspicious!"
"Then you're really in love as love is the only thing that blinds mind and weakens attention." There was no point in arguing with her as luckily she stayed alive, may be next time that insane witch won't stop choking her to death.
"Why have you come to this conclusion?" she asked instead.
"I had a conversation. He tricks and deceives everyone with no exception, even you. He's perhaps the only mortal that got a high appreciation from me. He'd be a nice rival. Believe me he has a thirst of power!"
"Why should I believe you? Perhaps you told something to him as I heard you are a master of bluffing and framing!"
"I'd prefer the words negotiating and convincing. Perhaps you're right, perhaps no, who knows. I'll tell you this, a pure human nature and soul easily and quickly get dirted with only one right word. The purer they are, the dirtier they become."Magda said this walking up to Likana and whispering into her the last part. Then she turned and walked away. Before fully disappearing she told Likana. "Be a nice "herald" and don't forget to covey my message. Ciao!"
She appeared at a shore. She wandered around it while thinking.
"Stupid old-man, you are the only one who's scared of me, since I know a lot more than the others." The moon got out of the dark clouds reflecting her silhouette on the mirror of the waters. As she looked at her own reflection, she suddenly noticed a hound 9 year old flgirl standing instead of her. She had short pink hair reaching her neck and those clever turquoise eyes full of enthusiasm and belief. She had the world's kindest smile. As Magda looked at her she noticed the moon, the waters the night reminding her of those days when she used to live till the days she was made to until she had taken her revenge.
She remembered it. Again.
Flashback
It was a peaceful night full of stars. The moon was shining as if had its own light. The nighty sky was decided by 5 moonstars that had their silver-white light. The heavens lighters were selected on the mirror surface of the waters of Anoka. It was a peaceful and hospitable village situated near the big lake Ankakh that separated two empires. Waters of Ankakh were rich of fishes, herbs and healthy streams. Most of the old villagers were engaged in trade and commerce though there were youths that showed some interest in trade and commerce. Others showed interests in other things, mostly in services. Most of these people were educated magicians, benders, wizards. Few were also shinobis. The letters always had to leave the village because of their missions.
"27, 28, 29, 30!" counted a nine year old boy with his eyes closed and head leaned on a thick tree. "Watch out, spy, I'm coming!" he cried out to the others that had hidden. It was some kind of a hide and seek game but here it was called a patrol vs spy. The winner of the game is the one who stays as invisible as possible and gets two bells, tied on the tree the boy has been counting at. The game is over when the holder of the bells ring them. The boy looked around and walked slowly paying concerning his attention at every single thing. He tried to not get too far away from the tree. Soon he noticed something in the bunches. He ran to it quickly and found his first spy. According to the game When the patrol taps the spy the latter loses. He did so easily as the spy was looking at something else.
"You're out, Carla!" he said and ran back to his place.
"Hey, not fair, I was looking at that beautiful night butterfly!" the girl complained.
"That's why you lost. Now you can look at your butterfly as much as you can." He said. The girl folded her arms in anger but then concentrated her attention on that butterfly and looked at it with admire. The boy could detect the other spies as they tried to get closer to the bells when he was distracted by Carla.
"I almost did it!" complained another boy.
"Chill, Nei, perhaps you'll get lucky next time." Said the other that was also caught.
"Nill, you always say that! But it never happened!" Said Nei. These two were brothers.
"Haha, two left, and I'll be the winner!" said the patrol boy.
"Yeah, one of whom is that jinchiuriki." Nill whispered to his brother's ear.
"Sh, she might hear you." Whispered Nei.
The boy looked around and focused his vision. He suddenly heard something from behind of a nearby tree. He walked towards it. But then, suddenly he heard the low sound of the bells. Fearing he could lose he quickly hot back. The bells were safe and sound. He heard the sigh of relief of a girl. He didn't dare go there again as he knew exactly who it was. It was that jinchiuriki girl whom he didn't like. Most of them didn't like her but they had to be friends with her as they were afraid of their influential girl friend. Then the boy heard breaking of a branch not so far away. He chose to go towards the sound without fear as he knew the jinchuuriki will never get the bells because before she had so many opportunities to do so but yield them all for some reason. So he was sure she wouldn't come closer to the tree. He walked up to the place the branch was broken but surprisingly he didn't find any one. Instead he heard the bells ringing and someone laughing. He turned his head to see her friend that had pink short hair reaching her neck, pale skin and turquoise eyes. And that teasing smile…. She was holding the bells and shaking them in triumph. The boy noticed sakura leaves out of nowhere had appeared on the ground.
"Bagrath, you'll never defeat me!" she said and went on laughing.
"I would if you hadn't cheated, Magda!" the boy said pissed off.
"Ha, you can't even prove it!" the girl said with a proud smile and showed him her tongue.
"No, you DID CHEAT! You used bending, something we aren't taught yet, so this IS CHEATING!"
"It's not my fault that you have not mastered bending yet."
"I haven't because I'm not a bookworm like you!"
"I'll tale that as a compliment as bookworms, in fact, have here something that us called brain." She pointed at her head. "And are smart, intelligent and well-educated unlike you!"
Ma-Magda, he's not… ill-educated." The girl that was hiding behind the tree, the jinchuuriki, showed up."He… hasn't learnt be-because those subject you learn on your own… are taught at-at higher classes."
"Please, Anais, don't protect this douchbag!"
"HEY!" the boy hissed.
"Seriously, Magda, that was beyond limits!" was heard. It was Carla who came back. "You even scared that beautiful butterfly I was looking at!" others shook their heads. "Now how am I supposed to find that butterfly. Poor me!"
"Poor you?! EXCUSE ME, I'M THE VICTIM HERE!" Bagrath cried as hard as he could.
"Right, Bag, you're the victim here." Magda teased.
"No, I didn't mean that! And stop calling me like that!"
"Or else what… BAG!"
"Or else…"
"You guys are like a couple, a wife and a husband!" Nei commented.
"WHAT?!" said the two.
"Yeah, I bet you two will marry each other in the end!" Nill added.
"SHUT UP!?" they said at the same time.
"I'll in now way marry her!"
"Sure, gr doesn't even deserve a girl like me. Just look at him and me. I'm smart, beautiful and powerful while he's a complete opposite!"
"That's the thing! You are opposite and thus complete each other! Awe, that's sooo romantic!" Carla squealed in a side.
"Carla you've overread your romances!" Bagrath said.
"No, we won't complete each other because he's not my type. I'd love to see somebody strong enough to stand beside me, not a helpless toad crawling behind. Seriously who's going to give, no, sacrifice their girl as a wife to you!"
"For your information, I'm a normal guy and a man, and will never take a girl like you as a wife! Girls don't behave like that and don't say such street words! They must be soft, humble and a little shy! Show kindness and support to their beloved ones! And know cooking!"
"Oh, so you mean…" Magda smirked as it hit her and slowly walked to Anais. "… you need a girl like Anais!"
"EEEH!?" all gasped for a moment.
"The one you describe fits her!" Magda continued. She knew about the secret affection Anais had developed for Bagrath, though she had never told anyone about that. She began to blush.
"M-Magda, stop it."
"Oh, look, she's already blushing! Isn't this adorable!" others looked at each other while Anais blushed more.
"No, she's not." Bagrath said firmly turning his head away. This made the blushing girl bow her head in defeat as she felt herself ruined.
"Of course you won't admit it," said Magda. "Cause you're the douchebag bag of Bagrath. Hm, cool rhythm, do you agree?"
"No, it's not! Take your words back!"
"Or else what, douchebag bag of Bagrath?"
"I'll MAKE YOU, though you're a girl!" he said as his anger fuelled.
"Come and MAKE! Douchebag bag of Bagrath!" Magda cried out. The boy rushed to her but she, catching the moment, pushed Anais at him."Here you go!" the girl fell right on the boy collapsing him.
"This is not cool" Nill commented.
"It's like in romance!" Carla exclaimed.
Poor Anais barely came to her sense as she never expected her best friend do such a thing.
"Would you get off, you're heavy!" but this sentence nearly killed Anais.
"Oh, I'm… sorry." She managed to say and got off. What about Magda, she ran away. But the boy wasn't going to give in.
"I'll get you, Magda!" he shouted running after her.
"Don't jump into false conclusions, douchebag bag of Bagrath!"
"Let's play persuasion game!" Nei offered. His brother agreed and they ran away after those two leaving the girls.
"Oh really, boys?" Carla commented folding her arms and sighing. Then she turned to Anais who was still on the ground."Let's walk after them."Anais looked at her and nodded. She got up and they went after the four.
It was hard to catch up with Magda as she was faster. Besides they were jumping too high like professional ninjas as they were taught at school. They were jumping on the trees and then some roofs. During this persuasion Magda kept on teasing his friend. As for Bagrath, he knew he shouldn't have behave himself like that as Magda was always this. That was her nature. Yes, sometimes she can be cruel, sometimes brute, say such things a girl would never say but deep in her heart and soul she was also the kindest person. She was always there for her friends and never let anyone feel out of this world. That was the side he admired the most. Another reason he was chasing her was it was fun. They all were having fun and enjoying this. Soon Magda landed on the ground and ran. The boys after her. But while running, she did strange moves with her feet as if drawing something on the ground, span around and knelt down throwing her palms on the ground.
"GOT YOU!"Bagrath exclaimed, ready to celebrate his victory as he landed on the ground and rushed towards the pink-haired. But right at the time he neared her he bumped onto something hard. It was a light blue barrier with sparkles that came out from the drawn symbols and surrounded Magda. The boy collapsed back covering his face.
"My nose!" he managed to say. The other two that saw the scene from afar walked up to them.
"Well, I'd prefer it was your brain, rather than nose as, you know, a blow from the smart girl would have filled your empty brain with useful knowledge." Magda said deactivating the symbols.
"Wow, when did you learn that?" Nill asked.
"If you hadn't ditched symbology class, you'd have been taught that." Magda said as a matter of a fact. Bagrath still complained about his nose.
"Stop complaining like a helpless girl, it's not broken, I guarantee!" Magda assured him because she was getting annoyed with his sounds of pain. After that a lavanda coloured light appeared behind them. When it disappeared, Carla and Anais were standing there with Carla's hand on Anais's shoulder.
"Wow, Carla, you teleported yourselves!" Nill exclaimed again."And I thought you couldn't."
"I can't teleport at big distances. Not yet."
"Now I'm starting to regret some things." Nill said honestly.
"Yes, ditching some important classes. That's why you two remained for another year!" Magda told them.
"Ok, guys, I think we should head home now. It's late." Carla said. All looked at the nighty sky and agreed and besides some didn't want their moms to be harsh on them like most of the times. Magda decided to accompany Anais to her place since she was alone and living alone. After a while they got to her place.
"Thanks for accompanying me." Anais thanked.
"No problem. But you should me more confident."
"Huh? What are you talking about?"
"Come on, you know it! I'm about that stupid Bag!"
"Magda, stop calling him like that and no, it's not what you think!" Magda's brow went up as she folded her arms.
"Oh really? You just got to look at your face! It's obvious that you have a crush on him."
"No, it's not!"
"Now look right into my eyes tell me that again!" Magda challenged. Anais tried but failed. She turned her head away and brushed. "See!?" Magda more like stated in triumph.
"So? He admires you and besides he and generally none of them will ever accept me since I'm… unique …" the last part came more like a whisper from Anais lips. Magda held on Anais's shoulders making her look at her.
"Never say that again! The fact of being a jinchuuriki doesn't make you unique! NO ONE IS UNIQUE! We all are ALIKE! We all have the same crimson blood under our skins, we all have the same feelings, the same heart, same body, same figure and forms, same silhouette! We all are called humans, and not fish, bird or alien. We all are alike and that's normal since we can maintain what our predecessors left. Each of us has a kind of their own traits. And that's what makes one to be identified. Never isolate yourself! You are part of us like any other person. Before becoming a jinchuuriki, you were born as child of a human being then be it!" Anais was looking at her with widened eyes. When Magda finished her sentence, Anais bowed her head and said.
"I guess you're the only one who thinks so. Others will never think the same way you do."
"Then make them! Show them the real Anais! Your problem is that you've accepted the false thoughts of yourself of being a jinchuuriki. Ignore them! Show them that you're one of them, not a weapon! You have your name that is given by humankinds, Anais! Don't show them what a jinchuuriki is alike or can do, show them what Anais is like and what she can do! Show them that it's Anais who walks, nit a jinchuuriki, it's Anais who talks, not a jinchuuriki, it's Anais that smiles, not a jinchuuriki, it's Anais who blushes, not a jinchuuriki, it's Anais who breaths the same air, not a jinchuuriki, it's Anais who lives, not a jinchuuriki!SO BE ANAIS!" Magda noticed a tear dropped from Anais's bowed head. Then she felt an unexpected touch. Anais hugged her tightly and cried. Magda hugged her back in comfort and said."I barely can imagine how hard it is to get to people's heart but know, that you'll always have my support." A small thank you was heard. Magda decided to change the subject. "Besides, what refers to Bagrath, I love him as my little brother. I'm sure, when you show him the real Anais, he'll fall for you and when get older, will marry you." Anais broke the hug wiping her tears and smiled. Magda smiled back.
"You should go, or your parents will be worried about you."
"Nah, they won't. If you'd like you could come and live with us. Mon and Dad would be fine with it." Magda said.
"No, not now."
"Oh, come on!"
"Later perhaps. For now I'd like to be alone, if it's ok?" Magda nodded her head in response. "Thanks again."
"We're friends after all. Goodnight!" Magda said turning around and waving her . Anais waved and got into her building.
After a while Magda got home too.
"Mom, Dad, I'm home!"
"At last, sweetie we were getting worried sick about you." A 35 year old woman said. She had light cyber-blue hair and light turquoise eyes and her body was pale. She hugged Magda tightly.
"No need to, mom, you know me!"
"No, Magda, your mom is right. Kids must me at bed by now, you know." A 37 year old man with middle worked out tanned body, dirty pink hair and dark blue eyes said.
"I know, I know. But I'm hungry!"
"Because you missed you're dinner, young lady." The woman placed her hands on her hips angrily.
"But we saved for you." The man said placing his hand on the woman's shoulder. The latter got defeated and prepared the table. Magda sitted herself in front of the table. She had this habit of talking whole eating with her full mouth, unlike her Mother's oppressions. This time wasn't an exception.
"So, when are you going to teach me your spells?"
"I thought, you'd be more into fairy magic, than witch one." The woman said. She and her husband sitted themselves besides their daughter. "And don't speak while eating."
"You know, it's kinda doesn't matter what type of magic one uses weather black or white, fairy or witch, mage or Wizard…. What matters is the result. In the end they all come to the same result. It's like cutting this meat." She pointed at the meat on her plate. "I doesn't matter whether I'll use a fork or a knife or my bare hands or other means to cut it. What bothers me is the result." It wasn't the first time for her parents to hear such things from her, but every time they were astonished as it was all the words of a small 9 year old girl. "I know that everything requires time…"Magda continued. "That's why I don't want to waste any of it pricelessly. I want to learn and collect every knowledge, every skill and get strong."
"Oh, I guess when I find time, I'll teach you some spells." The woman said still in shock.
"Great! By the way, dad, when are you going to take me to the morgue?" Magda exclaimed excitedly.
"What!?" the woman shouted and looked at her husband.
"Uh…" he rubbed the back of his neck.
"Come on, I'm curious! I'm interested in learning out what there is inside bodies besides bones and blood!" Magda's eyes shone.
"…a day after tomorrow..?"
"YAY!"
"MORG!"
Magda finished, stood up, rushed to her parents and hugged them.
"I finished and going to bed. Goodnight!" Magda kissed them goodnight and rushed to her room, while her father Morg was getting a look of disapproval.
The next day Magda woke up early to insist her mother to teach her new spells or stuffs. It was hard to refuse her, so Anna had no other choice than to teach her daughter something. She had a hard time to think of a good one. Than something came across her mind but it was something mixed with alchemy rather than a spell. She knew that Magda would have lessons of alchemy in the future.
"No, please, that alchemy thing!"
"But you know little about alchemy."
"In fact no. We didn't have a lesson of alchemy at the acadamy but during my studies I was so bored that read every Elementary book of alchemy and now more than 300 symbols of the Eternity paths." This astonished Anna.
"We'll, I guess that would be enough as the thing I'm going to teach you requires elementary knowledge of alchemy and magic."
"Cool! Let's get to it!" They got out and sat on the grass of their yard. Anna held out her hand and using her magic made a bunch of snow that covered the grass.
"I won't go to details in explaining you the aspects of alchemy as you've read about it and besides you're going to have a lesson soon. I'll only say this that the snow now serves as a sample. It could have been any other thing in its place like water, plant…"
"Spoon?"
"Yes, even a spoon." Anna said she drew some symbols inside of a circle and a triangle. "Perhaps you know these symbols and what links them togather unlike their differences." The girl nodded her head. Anna continued. " I'm sure you've read about the rules of alchemy and what the retaliation matters are. This method I'll show you will give you the chance to avoid those rules without any affect on you." Magda's eyes widened as she had never thought that there would be one.
"And what's it?"
"Adding magic."
"Huh?" the girl was confused.
"As you may know the essential powertype in activating an alchemical circle is qi/chi that is the source of controlling an element. Everything in the universe consists of life and vitality force. Using chi in alchemy allows us to analyse and dissolve anything to its molecular and atomic state thus destroying the very being of an object."
"Hm, according to my studies, everything in the universe consists is alive thanks to nature, consequently everything has three main requirements for life: Body, spirit and aura, these three have parts of the three main powertypes respectively but in a passive way. And if one of the two- chakra or chi- gets stronger, it will seek to prevail and ineffectively suppress the other and this will accordingly lead to confrontation which in its turn will lead to elimination of that life."
"Yes, that's why knowledge of proper symbols is important unless some cases which requires magic. According to alchemy you can't transmutate a cold and liquid objects into a hot and firm one. But it's normal for magic. After activating the circle with chi, you must insert magic immediately and enhance its scale and volume. Deriving from aura it serves as a special sphere for the two and thanks to it the molecules and atoms won't disappear as it happens usually after their confrontations. The sphere will press them to get united in a new form and create a new life with a soul!"
"I remember In a simple alchemy that would be a violation of rules: To create a life from another thing with a new soul!"
"After all the main goal of alchemy is transmutation." Her mother demonstrated what she said and the snow suddenly became a pure white baby owl.
"Wow!" Magda exclaimed. The owl flew, dropping snowflakes and landed on the girl's shoulder. Magda felt cold. "It's cold like an ice!" she said petting it
"Of course it is. After all it's made of snow and its inner side is also made of snow and ice. This method was created by the very first witch, the founder of witches."
"Cool! And what's her name?"
"No one knows her name but according to legends she was the most powerful and the smartest witch the universe had ever seen. Now your turn."Magda thought for a while then it hit her. She got some leaves and did what her mother did. The circle was activated and the leaves began to mutate but in the end they got into one ball and blew up. Magda got disappointed while her mom laughed. The letter hugged the girl tightly and said. "Don't worry, you'll learn soon."
Later that day
"... and then I understood that my legs were deeply stuck into the earth. I couldn't move them. But the enemy kept on advancing towards our empire's borders. You know that I don't master chakra as I ought to. I couldn't use my magic either as the enemy had cast a fog spell that made you dizzy and lose your every sense lowering your stamina. I felt my body starting to lose its weight and my view going dark. Before the enemy could fully disappear from my eyes sight in that fog and my vision went completely dark, I bit my thumb, drew a blowing seal on my arm then grabbed the last thing that remained in my inventory: a simple robe. Putting my hopes and strength on it, I threw it at the target. Luckily for me I got him by his neck and pulled towards me. It was hard thought, as he was resisting constantly. Pulling him closer I managed to embrace the resistant and with my arm that had the seal I managed to activate the seal that was placed on his chest. The enemy was blown up with my arm altogether. So, this is how I lost my arm." A young man around 23 told. He had dirty blonde hair and tanned skin. His left arm was missing and he himself was in bandages. A crowd had surrounded him and listened to his every word of his story. Among the crowd there were kids too. Ones of whom was Magda and her friends, even the jinchuuriki. Magda was amazed at the guy's courage.
"I knew this would end up like this." She heard someone whispering to another one.
"Yeah, this is already the seventh case in a week! At least he's luckier than the previous ones, he had his arm lost, but the others..." the speaker coughed.
"Unfortunately... The empire can't deal with this issue, it has a lack of healers.'"
"Of course it has! Most of the healers and warriors are too young, inexperienced and not fully qualified! Surely they'll get killed faster at fronts than have graduated from the academies." The speaker coughed again.
"That's why I'll let my child be anything but shinobi." The other speaker agreed and coughed again. "Hey, are you ok?"
"Yes, just a small cough."
"I don't want to be a shinobi, that's for sure." Another one whispered.
"Brother Karen, weren't you afraid of blowing yourself up?" Magda asked. The guy wasn't her real brother, but it was their custom to call the strangers brother or sister.
"No, when you know you're protecting your family, relatives and beloved ones. You have the feeling to protect a their peaceful and happy lives. I don't know how to explain it, but it's like some kind of a gratitude for always being there for me. You know, actions speak louder sometimes. Besides, nowadays there'll be other stuff to replace my arm."
"Yeah, sure, and that's when his mother nearly fainted to death when she saw him like this." A man whispered and coughed.
"There're so many people coughing today." Carla noticed.
"And those who get sick aftermath. Mom said there's a kind of a virus spreading, so be careful people!" Nill said.
"Yeah, dad's already in bed." Nei added.
"That's kind of scary. What do you think, Magda?" But she wasn't listening. "Magda!"
"...Some kind of a gratitude... Actions speak louder..."
"Oh, great. She's in the admiration trance." Carla folded her arms. "So, who has decided their future profession?"
"We're going to be wizards!" the brothers exclaimed.
"I'll be a mage." Bagrath said coolly.
"What about you, Anaïs?" Carla asked.
"I haven't decided yet." She bowed her head.
"Looks like no one wants to be a shinobi."
"It's too dangerous! I for instance want to live." Bagrath said."What about you, Carla?"
"Totally a fairy!"
"And you, miss annoying bookworm?"
"Witch..."
"Definitely no shino-"
"... a witch-kunoichi!" Magda's eyes were burning in enthusiasm and were full of eager while the others looked at her astonished.
Magda's house
"Mom, Dad!" she rushed into their house full of eagerness and happiness. Finding no one she ran upstairs shouting out "Mom, Dad! I know who I want to be!" she rushed into their rooms and stopped. Her mom was lying on the bed with red cheeks. And her dad turned his head to his daughter's side and gestured her to be quiet. She walked to their side slowly and stood beside her dad. "What happened to her?" she asked quietly.
"She's just a little bit sick." Her dad replied to her placing his hand on her head. "Don't drink water for now, it may be... Dirty." Magda knew well what Morg actually wanted to say, the a water was poisoned. Now it explained why those people felt like that and plus it was similar to what the brothers told. Suddenly Anna opened her eyes slightly.
"Mom?" the girl said restricting her own voice to sound louder than needed.
"Oh, you're back and I haven't prepared anything to eat." She said giving her a weak apologizing smile.
Magda shook her head, "Now I'm big enough to cook something." She smiled back holding her hand.
"Would you stay with your mom while I bring the herbs?" Morg asked gently. Magda nodded eagerly to which Morg replied with a sweet fatherly smile. He left leaving the two. Magda squeezed her mom's hand. "That's why I want to be a witch-kunoichi. Witches are considered strong but infamous. Mom mom is a strong and powerful witch but was treated as the last criminal. At first even my grandparents didn't want to give their approval to the unity of their only son and the witch. They and the others think witches are only selfish and evil creatures. But they're not right. I'm going to show them all that they all are wrong. I'll be a powerful strong witch-kunoichi, to prove that witches have good feelings, feel love and the need to protect the ones they love. That they can defend the lands their relatives live. I'll prove them all, mom, that they were wrong about you. Fairy or a witch doesn't necessarily make one good or bad, what matters is the quality the person has. I hope this would be a good way to express you my gratitude for giving me life, for raising me, for giving me this opportunity to be with you."
Later that day, when the sun yield its place to the moon, Anna's health got relatively normal. As it was bed time, Magda's parents kissed her goodnight and let her sleep, though she didn't want as some strange feeling told her to stay with her parents all night. But, as she got tired, she soon fell asleep, yet not deeply. She didn't have a peaceful dream. Always moving from side to side, she gave up in the end and woke up finding herself in sweat. She thought that the nightmare she had was behind now. But this until she realised the colours in her dark room weren't the same as before. Instead of dark blue and moonlight it was crimson. When her brain registered the information, she realised she was hearing screams and cries and shouts. Some the there was something reminding of an earthquake. She rushed out of her bed to the window.
"... What's... Happening...?" she didn't know to whom the question referred. The scenery she saw was similar to Hell. Everything was on fire that reminded of lava. She could feel the heat on her face. Suddenly someone or something shouted or more like growled loudly. The growl made the 9 year old girl freeze literally. She didn't even dare breath as she was afraid the growl would come and get her. Even thoughts of such a thing that could let out such growl made her skin cover with goosebumps. One thing got her out of that state. She noticed three star-like lights flew from the lava to the sky. After disappearing in the sky the three fell on three different sides blowing up those sides in a gigantic volume. The fire spread up from those points as if it was splashing water. That was the cause of the earthquake. Magda collapsed from that impact. She was too shocked to understand the window before her cracked and broke. The broken and sharp drops of glass fell right on her. The chances of cuts were too high. But this never happened as an ice wall had formed shielding Magda. The letter remembered someone shouting her name before that. She was too shocked to catch the things quickly. She was to come to senses when she felt someone pulling her out of the shield.
"Magda, you ok?" a familiar woman's voice was heard. Magda got out of her trance and saw her mother's face. She was in her father's arms. She was quiet as she couldn't find her voice.
"Later, we don't have time!" her dad said while managing to hold Anna, as she her knees weakened and she was to fall. Somehow they got out of the house, overcoming some obstacles. But the outside didn't prepare a good thing for them. The air was full of smokes and the fiery ground would shake some time. The three tried to find the way out. Because of such state they couldn't recognize the ways.
"What's happening? Who did this?" Magda asked.
"We don't know, it suddenly started." Anna replied coughing and covering her daughter's mouth and nose with her hands. "Bow your head to earth and cover your nose and mouth." Suddenly Magda felt her mom's hand got cold on her skin. "this spell won't let the Poison smoke get into your lungs for some time." Magda noticed her mom getting white and weak but couldn't ask why as her dad cut her.
"This way, quick!" they rushed towards a direction and his behind ruined building, or what remained of it. Soon Magda got why. A wave of crashes appeared making destructions and earthquake. Morg held the two tight as if trying to protect them from the impact of the wave though the walls were the ones to face it. After it was gone Morg told them to follow him.
"Wait!" Magda stopped. "My friends, we must go and save them!"
"Magda..." Her mom tried to say something but was stopped by Magda continuing.
"They perhaps are waiting, we must go and save them! Besides, mom can teleport us there as I can't teleport more then a person and only in a short distances." Magda rushed back thinking about her friends but felt a wave throwing her backward as another "fireball" had been sitting from above. It made the ground crack and an abyss formed. Magda didn't feel the impact with the ground. She felt someone embracing her from behind.
"Don't do stupid things. We can't risk. It's dangerous for your mom to use her powers as she gets weaker!" The voice from behind said. Magda couldn't get her eyes away from the view. It was the second time by then. They got up.
"But I can't just leave them!"
"Magda, you can't do anything." Magda's eyes remained Frozen on the point where her friends lived.
"No," she bowed her head and whispered, "I didn't even try!" she tried to run to them but her father grabbed her and hung over his shoulder running backward. Magda tried hard to struggle, to free herself and go after them but it was useless. All she could do was to stare at the golden and sometimes red horizon and recall silently the events she spent with her friends, with Carla, Nill and Neither brothers, Bagrath and... "...ANAIS!" Anna tried to calm her but it couldn't work, the girl kept on shouting hysterically with tears flowing down her soft and a bit puffy cheeks. It teared Anna's heart and soul seeing her daughter like that but she couldn't do a thing. After a while Magda calmed down, getting tired of shouting the those who would never come back.
With their heads bowed in order to not inhale the poisonous smoke, they ran but soon met an obstacle, a stalemate that had never been there before. The fallen rocks closed their path. So they turned their direction. It was hard to detect anything at that time when you could see as if the darkest cloud decided to land. But Morg noticed another abyss before them which had a terrifying depth.
"Step aside." Anna said as she used her spell and created an ice bridge. Morg tried to stop her telling her they'd find another way to cross but Anna was stubborn. They crossed the abyss . At the final moment it was to crack and break but they managed to pass it. But Anna got weak again and nearly fainted but Morg held her again. A moment later she regained her strength to go on. They'd been running until they heard the groan again. It froze the three for a while making shiver from the fear of what was unanticipated. The groan reached Magda and she lifted her head to see what was it though she didn't see it. But she felt as if the horrible groan reaching her soul and suppressing it. Gulping hard Morg told to keep on moving but with utmost care as there was no way out. Perhaps there were other ways out but it was very hard to see a thing in that foggy smoke. So they stocked to each other to not lose each other. They kept hiding at the corners of the ruins that remained and only after making sure it was safe to go they moved. They didn't want to come across the creature the made such sounds and destructions. Even one thought of it made the fear of death inside them grow.
"Looks like we're getting out?" Morg said noticing the smoke dissipating. But it was getting hard to breath and I was getting hotter and that strange orange light... Suddenly Morg stumbled on something. As Magda looked at the thing she regretted it. Her eyes widened and froze in fear and horror.
"Don't look!" Morg told her making her cover her face in his neck with his hand. Anna covered her mouth with her hand as she saw the thing. Now the scenery of a teared up limb that once was a man add more fear. They didn't notice that some things had stopped: noises, shouts, cries and earthquakes and crashes from above. Going ahead for some mile they heard strange inhumane sounds and saw a silhouette of a strange creature. It was busy on another thing that remind of a other limb. It's back was facing them saw they couldn't see it's face nor it could theirs. They only saw that a part of the creature was covered in dark scales a and a half had a human skin and a big and long tail was coming out of it. Magda shivered in fear and lost her voice.
"It hasn't noticed us yet. Turn over slowly and go back calmly as if nothing happened." Morg told as they did so. They slowly moved back not hurrying or else it would notice them
"It was... A jinchuuriki of Salamander, I'm sure of it."Anna put in.
"Sh, later, we must get out of here first and-" Morg was cut off by a feeling. The three heard the noisy breathe filled with slight groans. Magda didn't want to look but her curiosity killed the cat. She saw a face, if we can call it like that, which had a part of it covered in scales of such like salamanders have. The one predatory eye had other form were lighting yellow and the mouth was open revealing the sharp but white teeth. Other part of the face was human like but the eyecolor was fully yellow. Something got out from it's neck reminding a closed umbrella. It opened and got the head of the creature in the centre of it when it began groaning.
"RUN!" Morg shouted as they ran. The jinchuuriki persuaded them. The family didn't know where they were running. Their only aim was to get rid of it and for your information it was too fast and nearly got them. Morg noticed a building nearly pulling down, so he got a rock and, after they passed it, he threw the rock at the weak point of the building. The latter collapsed on the lisard.
"This will hold it for a while." He said. The insane lizard kept on groaning, trying to free itself from the trap. It didn't want its victims to get away so it concentrated its power into it's mouth. Its cheek, if there were such, turned into a big balls. Not standing the pressure in its mouth, the jinchuuriki spit the fires and a fireball. Morg with Magda still in his arms rushed into Anna and made themselves land down to avoid the hit. The attack got the front ruined building tearing it into big pieces of rocks and stalemating ahead of them. Aside of it a bit so big but deep abyss appeared. What about the lizard it was almost out of the trap. Morg got up and helped the two. Then looking at the lizard he thought for a moment. He noticed a sharp and long iron pole. He got it out and told the others:
"You two run as fast as you can."
"What about you?" Anna asked.
"I'll entertain it for a while and keep up with you later."
"No, dad!" Magda cried holding his hand with Waters in her eyes."It's too dangerous! You did see what it had done to our lands and people!" She squeezed his big and warm hand with her small two ones. He squeezed them in reply.
"She's right. You don't have any access to power unlike me! I'm the one who's supposed to stay and distract it!" Anna told him but got a negative answer."No, I WON'T LET YOU!" She grabbed his collars though not so successfully and bowed her head. "... You're going to die..." she whispered. He got one hand on her cheek and touched her forehead with his closing his eyes but smiling.
"Anna, ... we're parents..." he then slid the hand that was touching her cheek and placed it on Magda's head petting her. The small girl hugged them and looked at them. They looked back at her still touching each other's foreheads."..the child needs a mother." The woman cried having nothing to say. Seeing the lizard almost out Morg told them to go. But Magda didn't want to leave her father. A feeling was telling her if she did so, she'd regret it. Her mother managed to separate her from her dad and they ran. Anna didn't want to see what would happen to her beloved one. She knew she couldn't do anything, she had to save her powers for the sake of Magda. All she could for her husband was to cry. Unlike her, Magda didn't turn her head, crying out her dad. She saw everything until the smokes covered them.
The lizard, freeing itself, rushed towards the running ones. But Morg stopped him. He tried to fight it with that iron pole. He managed to give it some kick and cuts, but those were rejuvenating quickly at a blink. The lizard got the edge of the iron object and with the use of it's power made it hot and melt. The man dropped the hot object that burnt his hands. Dodging some attack of the creature he managed to get a hold of it for a while. The lizard, struggling, concentrated some of his powers on his scales. They got lava covered and burnt the skin of the man, making him rush backwards in pain. The creature groaning loudly for it's lava covered sharp tale into Morg's stomach. The man got backwards again and spit blood.
"DAD!" Magda cried trying to get her hand out of her mom's grip and rush back but it didn't work though she didn't stop struggling.
But that wasn't all, as the creature smirked making strange sounds. Sharp and big and long lava piles stuck out from every part of Morg's body.
"DAD! NO!" The poor girl cried as hard as she could trying to convince herself it was all a nightmare and she would wake up in a minute. The smoke covered the victim and its predator but the silhouettes were still visible. The lizard, satisfied with it's action, moved it's tail with the dead man stuck onto it and while throwing the dead in the air got its piles and tail back. The body was thrown into the abyss. Now the creature got after the two making loud sounds.
They ran until they met a deadlock. Seeing the creature would get them, Anna, focusing on her powers and collecting them, made a sharp swordie icicle and began to scrape alchemical symbols on a deadlock wall. What about Magda, she was still in trance, not being able to recover from it. The only thing that got her out of it, was the roaring of the lizard. They both felt it nearing. Anna saw Magda trembling from fear. She got from her daughter's shoulders, making her turn to her side, then Anna leaned to her, kneeling on her knees.
"Magda," she started, "listen, there's much more terrible things in this life but still there's so much beauty in it. There's so much trials to pass, each of them will be getting worse and more difficult step by step... There are so many bad people that will be standing against you and try to break you but never let that happen. Never let anyone and anything break you! Never give in to anyone! Always be loyal to yourself! Never change yourself for the others that don't deserve it." With tears in her eyes Anna hugged her daughter. "I know I'm asking to much from you, I know it's going to be hard but, please, be strong, find strength inside of you to live! That's all what I beg of you. Please, be loyal to yourself and never change yourself and always trust yourself...!" Magda's eyes watered. The last thing she felt was the sudden impact on her back. Her mom was still there on her knees with her one hand in the air and waters falling down her face. When her brain registered the events she realised she was pushed backwards by her mother. Turning her sight Magda saw a thick icy walls being conjuring closing the way between her and her mother. And the beast was not far. Finally collecting her strength she pushed herself ahead but in fact met the icy walls.
"No, mom! LET ME OUT!" Crying as loud as she could Magda kicked the walls with every part of her body hoping to break it but there was not even a crack on it. But she was too stubborn to give up. She kept on and on trying breaking it though in vain.
"This ice cannot be broken by any other elements except ice itself." Anna said wiping off her tears and standing slowly. "Not even you!" The newly arrived lizard gained her determined look. The beast roared and spit lava at her. She dodged it and decided to try to cool her surroundings lowering the temperature. Her goal was to deprive the beast from his beneficial state and make some for her. It worked as the lava was cooling off quickly turning into stones. Besides the trees, the walls, the grounds and even the air around them and about 3km froze. When the lizard attacked again it wasn't as powerful as before. Anna smirked like a witch could do and did a move that summoned icicle piles that made their way towards the beast. Unfortunately for her the lizard dodged it. Note that Magda took after her for her stubbornness. Everywhere icicle piles appeared, some on the grounds some on the frozen rocky walls that were shot towards it. The roaring beast dodged some and broke some with its long tail waving around itself and was stepping backwards. Spotting it in the right place between the frozen trees Anna did another move. Suddenly some of the trees broke and fell on the crazy beast and some, breaking into small icicle pieces, were shot at it. It could dodge and break only a little part of them. Anna noticed its skin getting cooler and cooler. 'That's it! I'll keep on lowering the temperature that will bring to its skin's cooling-off. After cooling down hot lava becomes rock ! That's what I'll turn you into and then break you into small pieces, I'll make dust out of you! I just hope my powers won't betray me. For Magda's sake!' she thought and concentrated her all powers holding up her hand towards the beast. "BREATH OF WINTER!" Snowflakes fall spinning around the furious beast and with the calf wind blowing around them . The lizard roared as it felt cold and felt its skin losing its warmth. Some parts became rough and . It tried to melt the snowflakes with its hot breath but nothing worked. The snowflakes were not just touching its skin and melting. They got into the skin cooling it down and making sharp sensations of pain as if someone was pricking the it and the insides with thin needles. Besides some snowflakes were sharp that could scratch the already rough skin. "You're done." Anna said quietly and with a weak smile. Actually she was too happy to finish it all as she had lost too much power and was barely standing on her feet. Her head was aching and her vision wasn't on a good state too. The beast kept roaring and groaning like insane. It's body almost got rough. But suddenly out of nowhere a thing like a long tail with boiling lava appeared and aimed Anna. The latter could dodge the attack. 'The second tail! I wasn't expecting this!" She said. But the beast rushed towards the icy walls made with alchemy and where Magda was. It tried breaking the walls but couldn't. 'What does he want? I got it, it needs a source of warmth!' And that source could be only Magda as Anna didn't generate warmth especially when it comes to fights. Knowing that chances were lower than ever, she did stand up and touched the walls."GET AWAY FROM HER!" the icicle piles appeared on the walls, though the walls didn't really need those extra protection things. The beast got backwards roaring again. Anna's vision blurred more and more second by second but collecting her last powers and strength she did a move that broke some piles and shot them at the beast. This was the mother instinct. The beast was dodging them until it felt a sharp and deep pain around its waist and the beginning of the tail part. Anna noticed that but couldn't get where the exact weak point was because of her vision. The latter was also the cause of what happened next. The beast kicked her with its long lava tail throwing her right at the sharp piles of the walls. The sharp and strong pile went through her chest and heart getting out from her back with a lot of blood.
Magda's gaze froze, she couldn't find a way to move, her forehead only touched the cold walls right behind of which her mother was stuck. Tears fell down from her widely opened and frozen eyes. She was indifferent to all what happened. It looked like she lost her all feelings, the source of her life and the reason to live. That day she lost her childhood, her friends and families, her dreams... She looked like a dead girl. That day she lost herself and her haze remained frozen at the horizon, where everything began and ended.
"...Hey, there's someone in there, quick!...
