I watched as Korra rested in the tent that had been prepared. The seige would start soon, right now more soliders were comming and the catapults were being set up. Bolin had returned a few hours after we came in and despite sporting some slight cuts was fine. When he saw the state Korra was in he panicked but after I told him she'd be okay soon he calmed down. Which was more than what I could say.

I'm going to kill Amon. That one thought kept going through my mind every time I looked at Korra. The equalists were responbile for a lot of terrible things and by the end of the night they'd all pay.

Needing some air I went for a walk around the camp to see how it was doing. In all my life I'd never seen this many people with weapons, and every last one of them was on edge. Most were angerly sharpening weapons while others just stood checking their armor. The older ones in the bunch were sitting around the fires telling stories and drinking most talked about how it would be their last battle one way or the other.

"Making it across the river will be the hardest part. Nowhere to dodge on a boat." one man said to another near a fire

"We could swim it."

"We'd sink with our weapons. Nah I'd rather die from an enemies arrow like a true nord then die drowning." despite the situation I couldn't help but admire them. Within a few minutes I'd found myself on the outskirts of the camp looking up at Solitude. Their fires were burning and I could see the movement of countless archers on their walls. Their captil was a fortress but if we could just get past the front gate we could win. Despite how fortified it was their was no other way in our out besides the front gate. I'd made sure to inform a few earthbenders of the escape route, which they enjoyed bending into a jagged death drap. Now they had nothing to run to. As I sat there deep in thought I heard the sound of footsteps approaching and soon found myslef joined by Bolin.

"So how's Korra? Her injuries were pretty bad last time I saw them."

"They're healing pretty quickly. Most were just flesh wounds." The kind made to hurt but not kill.

"Well that's good. Personally i'd feel a lot safer knowing that she was fighting with us. Plus think of the stories we could tell when this was over. Where was I durning the siege? Well I was fighting side by side with the avatar of course!"

"Yeah I'm sure telling a story like that would get you a girlfriend or two."

"Already have one actually. But if make through this I'm going to march up to her and ask her to marry me. That is if her parents don't are okay with it."

"I'm sure you'll do fine. But tell me when exactly does the battle start?"

"Not really sure. Some say it will began at sunrise but the veterans are more partialy to a night raid. But then it really doesn't matter when we attack. The predicted caulisties are about thirty percent but that will gets us past the gate and into the city." From what I'd heard from him and others around the camp the plan was a simple frontal assualt with earth and firebenders at the head followed by nonbending soliders behind them. Waterbenders would act as medics. Somehow we had access to a few flying spirits and their part was to terroize the equalists from above when the fighting starts. Our main goal was to fight our way to Amon and take him out along with his generals.

"Be honest with me Asami. What do you think of our chances? I mean it was hard enough to escape after causing that distraction."

"Just have hope Bolin, that's all I can say. If you think you're going to die when you go into battle then you're already doomed."

As I started up I heard the sound of more footsteps drawing closer. As I turned around I came face to face with a smileing Korra. Her body was mostely healed but she was leaning on a stick for support.

"Korra what are you doing up? you're not fully healed yet."

"Hey I'm up and walking. Besides we still have a few hours before the seige so I got plenty of time to heal."

"Oh no you don't. I'm taking you back to the tent and I'm not letting you up untill every last injury is heald and you can walk without a stick." She tried to protest but she collasped into me the moment I removed her stick.

"Fine"

As we walked though the camp the nervous chatter turned into joyus laughter as I carried her back to the camp. Korra didn't think it was funny as shown by her crimson cheeks and murmers to hurry up. When I finally got her back to the tent and placed her down I searched for the bowl of blood that she'd been feeding from only to find it knocked over across the room.

"Korra." but she only looked away. "If you want to get better you

have to take your medcine"

"I'll be fine after I sleep." It was clear she wasn't about to drink the blood I gave her so I had to come up with a different method.

So I got ontop of her and bit down on my lip hard enough to draw blood before pulling her into a kiss. She was caught of guard but soon returned my kiss as I let more and more of my own blood fill her mouth. By the time she realized what I'd done she was far to involved to stop me.

"No fair."

"Oh you know you loved it. Now if you won't feed from blood taken by people trying to kill you you're going to have to drink from me alright?" she frowned knowing I wouldn't budge and then nodded as I exposed my neck to her. She hesitated for a moment before sinking her fangs in and drinking deeply. I'd forgotten the sensation of her fangs and how good it felt to have your blood sucked. My body was burning up as desire clouded my mind and I had to bite down on my tounge to supress it knowing a battle could start any minute and we didn't have the time for this. Korra on the other hand had become completly overwelmed by her feelings and while one hand made combed it's way through my hair the other was pulling at the back of my waist. Her eyes had gone a deep crimson, and from the noises she was making it was clear that If I didn't stop her now she wouldn't stop untill she felt like it. So using what strength I had I pulled away causing her to groan in dissapoitment.

"We can finish this after the battle alright?" she nodded as her eyes returned to normal. "Good now how are you feeling?" she flexed her arms and stretched a bit.

"Much better. I think I could fight the entire army by myself"

"As much as I would welcome that please save some for the other spirit benders." our eyes shot toward the opening of the tent where to our horror Unalaq was standing.

"Um... how long have you been standing there?" she mananged to ask as we briskly seperated.

"Oh don't worry I haven't been here long. I mearly came to say that our nightly seige will soon begin. Whenever you two finish preparing for battle join the rest of the men." as he left he smirked slightly.

After a couple of akward moments of gathering our stuff we made our way to the large gathering of people. Some of the men and women gave us a few whistles and cheers as we passed which made the short walk completly horrible.

"Everyone listen up, the enemy's captial lies before us. And by morning it will be ours and we would have wone this war." cheers came from everyone as he spoke.

"For to long we've been oppressed but now we will show them what we're capable of. Fight for your familes, fight for your countries. But more impormatly fight to bring peace and balance to this world!" When the cheers and roars finally stopped the battle began.

Firebenders lit the catupluts before they were sent hurdling into Solitude. Boats launced into the bay propelled by waterbenders as arrows streamed down from the enemies walls. But Korra and I got past their arrows as she streamed us across the pay and straight up the hill. She'd left her spear in the camp wanting to relay only on her bending, whenever an equalist appeared they were ended by a blast of fire or being blasted by a current of air.

There were spirits fighting along side is. Most were just flying creatures of various shaps and colors distracting but there were a couple large spider like spirits crawling up the side of the walls and intangling the enemy in their webs. When the main battalion made its way to us it was the earth benders who ripped the massive door to the city appart before the firebenders rushed in to overwelm the equalists who were waiting for him. They'd formed a large sheild wall which were blocking most of the fire but Korra shot out her arms and two pillars of earth broke it appart allowing the rest of the men to storm into the city.

With every passing moment the fires grew in the city as the sky turned black with smoke and the the sound of fighting filled the air around us. But still we fought on past wave and wave of soliders. Any barrier they errected was quickly destroyed and before long we stood before the massive castle that was their base of operations. Unalaq and Galamer had just finished the last two guards when we arrived.

"Glad you two could join us. Now come on Amon is trapped inside." he said before smashing through the door.

As we walked through the doors we expected to see his eliete men standing at the ready. But to our suprise they were all dead in various positions. Their bodies drained and pale. They reminded me of the undead we faced in the tombes

"What happaned here?" Unalaq bent down an examined the bodies.

"Whatever did this did it quick and without mercy." as he stood up a piercing scream echoed through the halls and we rushed to the source where we saw Amon his hand extend to an equalist general.

"Lord Amon what are" but from beyond his mask we saw two glowing orbs and with a flick of his wrist a stream of blue engery was pulled from the ban and into Amon. When it was done he threw the man aside and turned to us.

"Now that I've taken their spirit engery not even you can stop me avatar." It was Unalaq who moved first extending both his hands and started to pull the engery from Amon.

"You're not the only one who can minuplate spirt engery. Everyone strike now while I have him bound." I rushed foward and plunged my weapon into his side but was to slow and was quickly smacked into the wall before I could retreat. Galamer seeing an opening manuvered to the rear during my assualt and after Amon and struck me he brought down his axe into his back. Amon screamed in pain but didn't react quick enough to dodge Korra fierly assualt. Whatever engery he'd been counting on was quickly being pulled from his body leaving him weak. When the last of it left he dropped to his hands and knees his body drained and badly damadged.

"Go on then, finish me but know that my death won't change anything. They're will always be inequality in this world."

Unalaq strowd foward and unsheated his sword before passing it to Korra.

"The honor should be yours avatar." she hesitated for a moment before grabbing the sword and plunging it into his heart. Amon sputtered and groaned before collapsing to the ground as blood flowed from his wounds.

"It's over."
