Your life style to me seemed so tragic
With the thrill of it all
You fooled all the people with magic

"Mr. Crowley" by Ozzy Osbourne

The nurse frowned, appearing puzzled by Dean's reaction. "John? I'm not quite sure who Crowley is, but this is Aleister."

Crowley smiled gently at her. "No, no, Linda, he's not wrong. It was an old college nickname we had for myself."

"Oh, you went to college as well? That must be nice, being friends at school and work." She appeared pleased that they seemed to be friends.

Dean glowered at him. "What the h-"

"Is it alright if we catch up alone, my dear?" Crowley interrupted. "It seems he's remembered me finally and I would love to catch up."

"Oh, of course! It's great finding a new friend!" She nearly squealed, as Dean barely controlled his growing anger, not wanting her to call any security guards on him if she was threatened. Linda headed to the door, turning to them once more. She probably hadn't had anything this exciting happen to her for quite awhile, giggling a bit at them. "Have fun you two!"

"Oh, we will!" Crowley called equally cheerfully back, watching her scurry away, closing the door behind her.

The moment she was gone Dean's temper went over the edge, suddenly grabbing the demon's shirt collar. "If you don't tell me what in the name of God what is going on, I will kill you."

Crowley raised an eyebrow at this abrupt action. "May you let me go?"

"Dammit Crowley!" He hissed back, shaking him.

"If you let me go, I'll explain everything."

After a moment longer glowering, Dean finally conceded, and released his grip. "Where's Sam?"

Crowley turned back to his painting, continuing where he left off. "I don't know."

"Why are you acting like you can explain everything then?!"

"I can explain everything I know. Starting off with the last time I remember seeing him; it was when he was changing me, the night the angels fell. I assume that night was the last you remember as well."

The hunter thought about his memories, realizing this to be true. "...yeah, it is...Why are you here then?"

"To hide."

"Hide? What the hell from?"

"Truthfully, I don't quite know who they are, but I know we are hiding from them."

"Are they demons? Angels?"

"No, not demon. And most definitely not angel."

"How you know that?"

"They don't feel like demons. And if they were angels, Peter wouldn't be more afraid of them than me."

Dean frowned. "Peter?"

"That little ginger, holding that bible around, shaking like a leaf. Ring any bells?"

He remembered that teenager he had ran into in the hall, letting him know about Crowley in the first place. "What, he religious?"

"I suppose, considering he's an angel."

"Wait, an angel?"

"Yes, one of the fallen ones," He replied staring at his painting, hand no longer moving. "He's a bit...unhinged."

"I can tell."

"He's never been on Earth before and seems to think that my presence will keep him safe, for whatever reason. I very much doubt he realizes that I won't be much help. Anyways, I'm guessing you would like to leave to find whatever happened to Sam."

"Yeah, I am. I'm already done with this fucking place, with the stupid doctor, and that crazy screaming at night."

"Oh? You've heard him too?"

Dean frowned. "That's just one person?"

"Yes. I think you would like to see him before you leave though."

"Why the hell would I want to see some crazy guy locked away in here?"

The former King of Hell turned his gaze to him. "Because, its Castiel."

"He won't recognize you," Crowley stated matter of factually, peering into the window of the doors leading to the unstable wing. The lights were currently on, the pair orderlies in there checking each room one last night, before they would head home. He frowned at them, before glancing to Dean, who was currently checking behind them for anyone that would catch them sneaking in.

"And why not?"

"He's lost his memory from what I've heard," Crowley swiped the stolen ID card into the machine on the door, unlocking it. "He seems to be in a similar state that you were in...just more unstable from what I understand."

"The screaming?"

"Heard he has nightmares. Might be Castiel's past memories trying to leak in. I heard that head doctor say you were once having nightmares about your past as well."

"Yeah, well, don't believe everything that quack says. He seems to be hiding some shit from me." The hunter grumbled in reply.

"Shhh," Crowley hushed him, stepping into the shadows of the now darkened hallway. "They're leaving."

Dean followed his lead, watching as the two orderlies finally head towards the exit. One of them seemed annoyed, as though inconvenienced. He spoke to the other, shaking his head. "He tried biting me again today, you know that? Thank god moved this time before did, otherwise I would have a matching scar..."

Crowley eyed the bandage that the orderly showed off to the other, narrowing his eyes. They left the hallway, doors slamming shut behind them. The demon and hunter emerged from the shadows, heading further into the wing. "I'm not completely sure the room he's in, but I know it's towards the back. I can sense him."

"Well, find out which room he's in then."

"I've blocked him from being sensed fully by other beings, which means I had to partially block my own senses. His energy felt volatile when I found out he was there. Anyone could have found him if I didn't do something."

"Well, what, we gonna knock on everyone's door then?"

"Yes, we do...he feels close...I think they only dim the lights to the lowest setting so you should be able to see him."

Dean sighed, carefully open the slot that the food was placed in, as not to awake anyone that was asleep at the moment. Crowley performed a similar task to him on the opposite side of the room, Dean hearing a huff every time the demon didn't see Castiel. It took awhile, but finally, Dean spotted a pair of nearly glowing blue eyes, in the darkness, staring directly at him. He immediately knew it to be the angel, having seen those mysterious eyes enough to last him an entire lifetime.

He heard the familiar voice rumble, as the angel approached the opening. "...Why are you here?"

"It's me, Cas, let me in."

The angel stared at him, unblinking, before finally speaking. "The door is looked from my side."

"Oh, right, hold on." Dean answered, pulling the card from his pocket to open the door.

He went to open it, letting the flap where the food went to close quietly. Crowley suddenly appeared beside, fast enough to nearly cause Dean to flinch in surprise. The demon's hand held tightly to his wrist preventing Dean from unlocking the door. His eyebrows were scrunched together, almost as though he was full of worry. The hunter had never seen such a face from him before. "He's unstable, remember?"

"It's Cas, Crowley. He knew me when I was just talking to him."

"You heard what the orderlies said, correct? I'm fairly certain they were speaking about him."

Dean roughly pulled away. "Sure, because Cas totally bites people, like a goddamn two-year-old."

The door was finally pulled open, Crowley taking a huge step back from the blond. Dean stepped him, mouth widening into a felt glad to finally locate someone that he knew he could trust. "Cas, its good to see ya, buddy."

Castiel didn't embrace Dean in return, simply staring at him, before his eyes drifted to Crowley, and then beyond him. Abruptly, the angel shoved Dean out of the way, bolting for the opening between Crowley and the doorway. The demon stepped further away, eyes widening in surprise, as Cas swung his arm at him in an attempt to strike him. After missing, Cas continued on, sprinting straight down the hallway.

"Crowley, dammit, grab him!" Dean shouted running towards the doorway.

Crowley remained in the same position as before, shaking his head as Dean caught up to Cas, tackling him to the ground. They rolled across the ground, struggling with one another. Dean found himself being elbowed in the neck, gasping in pain by the surprise attack, completely losing his breath at said action. Cas rolled over, onto his back, before kicking his friend in the stomach, and scrambled to get up. He gasped, hurrying to get up to go after Cas, before he made it to the doors. He lunged forward grabbing the angel's leg, causing said creature to tumble forward. Dean sat on top of the angel's legs, pressing his face into the ground, with one hand, and holding his wrists together with the other. "Stop running, Cas!"

"Fuck you!" Cas spat back, rearing his head against the hand that was attempting to push him down. He bucked his legs against Dean's crotch, causing the hunter to cringe against the pain, and nearly lose of grip from the pain.

"Did you just say 'fuck'?" Dean asked, ignoring the pain, more surprised by the extreme cursing.

"Yeah, I fucking did, you fucking fuc-"

"I don't know if you two realize it, but there are some occupants of this hallway awake, and probably quite frightened by this fight, judigng from the muffled screams! And the guards should be coming to investigate the screaming any minute now!" Crowley hissed at them, eyeing the door nearby.

Cas stopped squirming immediately, speaking suddenly very calmly. "Look, I don't know who you are, but if you help me out of here, I'll do whatever the hell you want."

"Jesus Christ, you really don't remember me, do you?"

"Dean," Crowley had a hint of warning in his voice, the sound of footsteps approaching. "We need to go; just agree to his terms."

"Look, your name is Castiel and yo-"

"Dean!"

"-'re an ang-"

"DEAN PLEA-" The doors exploded open, guards pulling out their tasers when spotting the intruders, shouting at them to get on the floor. They were quickly advancing on the surprised hunter and angel with suspicion in their eyes. Crowley rushed forward to them, grabbing Dean by the back of neck, and using his other hand to grab Castiel's leg. In an instant their surroundings changed, a luscious forest appearing, the glow of the full moon lighting up their senses. Dean had absolutely no idea where they had gone, but was pissed.

"W-What the hell, Crowley?!" Dean shouted, releasing Cas, and getting to his feet, mildly dizzied by the sudden transportation.

"We need to go." Crowley hurriedly spoke, nearly appearing paranoid as he glanced about.

"Wait a damn second! What's going on?!" Dean began shouting, blocking Crowley from moving. The blond saw a flash of movement from the corner of eyes, realizing Castiel was making a break for it once more. He turned around beginning to chase after him, dodging trees as he went. He vaguely heard Crowley shouting after him and the sound of the demon following as well. Dean saw a flash of a trench coat in the distance, pushing himself to go further. The moon was no longer there suddenly and he felt a heavy weight settle across his broad shoulders. It was as if though he was carrying someone. The trees had changed into a denser forest, a mossy flesh underneath his bare feet. There was a flashing in his vision, white light nearly causing him to be blinded. A screeching from his throat, voice hoarse. He didn't feel right. Where was he? Why was the air thick with fog? Branches were scratching his bare flesh. Where were his clothes? His feet were being torn from the terrain below. He was going t-

A elbow was bashed to the back of his head, causing him to take a tumble, before an arm roughly caught him by his throat. He choked, the arm wrapping tighter, a hissing in his ears. "Leave me the hell alone or I'll snap your motherfucking neck."

"Cas, let me g-" The air left him, as the grip became unbearable.

"We don't have time for this you two!" Crowley emerged from the trees, panting heavily from the chase. "Because of your fighting, I had to reveal our location!"

"I don't fucking know either of you and I've been locked up too damn long! Now I swear to God, if you don't let me go, I'll break his damn neck!"

"Castiel," Crowley began carefully, hands raised in a gentle approach. "We need to leave the area. We are going to be tracked by people that will catch you and do what they want to you. And, I can tell you right now that it will not be good."

"I'll break their damn necks, too!"

"You can't. They're stronger than you, and you'll be trapped again, just like before."

Cas was breathing heavily, now, cheeks beginning to redden with anger. Dean didn't dare move, sensing that the angel would got through with his threat. He could even feel his neck slowly be turned, as though to prepare to snap it. The angel had never been more furious at this moment than any other time the hunter had witnessed. He could feel how old Castiel truly was, a righteous power overwhelming his senses. "I won't fucking let them!"

"Casti-"

"THAT'S NOT MY NAME!" Cas screeched, his hands clenching Dean's head so tightly, that he felt as though his head would explode.

"...What's your name then?"

This seemed to calm the angel slightly, the grip relaxing. His voice came out a whisper, distant, as if he wasn't quite there. "...Dean."

"Your name is Dean?"

"...yes..."

"What the hell, Ca-" Dean was cut by the sound or rustling in the background. Both the angel and hunter snapped there heads in that direction, before Crowley was fearfully blocking their view, and transporting them somewhere new once more. Said place, was on the side of an empty highway, nothing either direction for miles. Cas and Dean were lying on the floor, dazed by the sudden action. They nearly mirrored each, sitting up, while rubbing there heads with groans of confusion. Dean blinked in confusion, before realizing where he was, anger swelling. He was becoming exhausted of the abrupt transportation. His gaze drifting to Crowley lying a few feet away from them.

He was surprised to see his face an ashen white, a sweat broken out on his brow. There was a gash across his chest, blood gushing from the wound, spilling into a puddle around him. The former King of Hell had clearly been injured by whatever had come after them. His dark eyes were wide, bloodshot, as though he had eyes become irritated. His breath came out low and quick.

"You can stop being fucking dramatic," Dean said, with a roll of his eyes. "Just heal yourself already."

Crowley was reaching out his hands to the hunter, shaking his head, mumbling. "...dark...please...stop...please..."

Dean raised an eyebrow as he stood up, approaching Crowley. The former King of Hell had tricked him and Sam multple times in their lives, though never in this manner. If he didn't know any better, he would assume that the demon was truly fearful. He startled at the screeching the former king of hell released at him, appearing horrified by the approach of the hunter. "NO! PLEASE!"

"What the hell?" Cas asked, staring at them from where he was on the ground.

"...I swear to God Crowley, if this is a trap, I will murder your ass." Dean growled.

The demon continued to cower though, blood beginning to leak from the corner of his mouth. Dean soon realized it wasn't an act, though he didn't feel any pity whatsoever for him, especially after all the things he had down to Sam and him in the past. He turned to Cas, stepping towards him. "Ok, look, I know you want to get away, but whatever attacked him is still after us. If you lay low with me until this shit is over, I'll let you go wherever the hell you want after this."

Although the hunter was bluffing, he hoped that the angel couldn't see it, and reject the offer. Cas glared at him for a moment, Dean fearing he would continue to give him trouble. To his surprise though, it seemed to be the opposite. He didn't seem happy about it though. "...alright."

Dean didn't quite trust the answer, but had more pending issues. Such as where Crowley had brought them. He would ask the demon himself, but he was currently squirming in the floor, having a type of fit. As much as he hated to say it, Crowley seemed to know more about these things than he did, and could prove useful. He sighed. "Ok, first of all, we need him to stop bleeding. I don't know what the hell he knows about these things, but he knows something."

Castiel stood up, brushing the dirt from his mint cotton pants. "What are we going to use? I'm not talking my shirt off for him. It's freezing out here!"

Dean rolled his eyes. "I'll fucking do it then."

He pulled off his shirt, reaching forward to Crowley. He ignored the squeal of terror he heard, ripping off the black turtleneck, to reveal a a haze of purple emitting from the wound. Dean noticed that the slight breeze didn't seem to affect the haze and that red was bleeding out from the middle as well. He was quite sure what the purple was, but knew the red to be Crowley's soul. The angel gagged, plugging his nose with distaste. "He smells like shit! Are you sure we can't just let him die?"

"I would if I could, believe me. This asshole has done the worst shit to me and brother." He tied the shirt around the demons chest, pressing against the wound itself.

Castiel appeared curious, momentarily forgetting the smell. "Your brother?"

"Yeah, uh Sam..." He replied, feeling weird about telling Cas about his brother, as if they had never met.

"...someone's coming."Cas said suddenly, pointing down the road to an rusty brick colored pick-up truck approaching them.

"Shit. Here, take him."

"I'm not taking him. He smells horrible."

"It's not that bad, just take him."

"No, I mean, I can smell smell him."

"I don't even know what that fucking means, but if you don't take him in going to beat the shit out of you!"

"Try me."

"Jesus Christ, I need to steal the truck! Just take him!"

"I'll fucking do it then!"

The vehicle pulled over moments after the angel shouting back, with a concerned elderly man peaking out, frowning at their clothes. His unruly beard seemed stringy, wrinkles around his eyes becoming more evident as he squinted at them. He seemed suspicious of their uniforms, before frowning at how stressed they appeared. "You kids ok?"

"No, a bear attacked us!" Cas cried, appearing distraught. Dean's eyebrows shot up, stunned by the convincing attacking. The man mumbled a curse in reply, seeing Dean with an injured Crowley. He put his vehicle in park, opening the door and beginning to get out. Castiel suddenly had him by the throat with one hand, choking him. Dean's eyes widened, realizing what was about to happen.

"What the fuck, Ca-?!"

There was a snap, the angel twisting his head, until his neck broke, then releasing the corpse to fall to the side of the road. "Got the truck."

Dean picked up Crowley, approaching him. "You can't just fucking kill people that haven't down shit, dude!"

"I don't know why you're fucking complaining! I got us the truck!" Cas shouted back as Dean roughly dropped the demon into the back seat.

"Listen, you asshole, if there's suspicious dead bodies showing up everywhere, whoever is after us will follow that trail! So don't kill anymore people!" Dean bellowed, getting in the driver's seat before Cas could argue about whose driving as well. "Now, get in before those people find us."

"Wait a fucking second, why can't I drive?"

"Do you even remember how to?"

"..."

Dean leaned towards the the other door, opening it, before slamming his own shut. After a moment, Cas went to the opposite side of the car, getting in. He glared at the hunter, buckling his seat belt, and crossing his arms. Dean pulled the car into drive, turned around, coming back from the direction that the elderly man had come. "So, if you don't remember how to drive, what the hell do you remember how to do, Cas?"

"My name isn't Cas," He spit back with venom. "It's Dean."

Dean shook his head chuckling. "See, that's where you're wrong, because my name is Dean; you're Castiel. An angel. Yo-"

"I know what I fucking am, but my name is Dean!"

Dean frowned. "If you remember that you're angel, then why don't you just transport us somewhere where we can get Crowley help then?"

There was a mumble in reply.

"What?"

"I said I don't remember how to!" Cas yelled back, hand digging into the door handle hard enough that there was a crunching noise.

"What the hell of you remember then?"

"It's none of your damn business."

"Well, your name isn't Dean, because I am. I don't know what the hell else you want me to call you."

"My name, you fucking idiot!" The hunter shook his head, realizing the conversation was heading nowhere. He turned on the radio, only to hear a buzzing from the station. He changed the station, only having it come to another fuzzy one. He frowned, beginning to try all the stations, with no luck. He heard a gasp of pain as Castiel's hand grabbed his, preventing him from going to turn it off. They was a crackle, then a pop as the radio sparked and shocked him. He jerked away, Cas letting go of his hand. The angel was shaking his head, one hadn going up to touch his head, as if he had a headache. "They're saying something..."

"What're you talking about?"

"...the people on here..."

"There's nothing on any of the stations, Cas."

"...angels..."

"They can talk on the actual radio? I thought it would be too screechy."

"...no...just...augh..." Cas abruptly snapped the dial to off, shaking his head once more. "They were saying something like, 'run'...'they're coming'...most of it was them screaming."

"What the hell does that mean?"

"I don't know..." They passed by a sign, reading 'Welcome to Missouri'. Cas raised an eyebrow at that. "Why did he bring us here?"

"How would I know?This...place looks sorta familiar though..." Right after saying that, another sign saying 'Welcome to Hart' went by them. "Oh."

"What?"

"Nothing..." It wasn't nothing though. He felt as though he had been here before. He didn't quite remember this place though, remembering the handful of times he had been to Missouri, hadn't been to a small town by this name. For some reason didn't seem like a lot of cases popped up in that state. And when they did they were usually in the capital. The blond man continued down the road, hoping to run into town soon, when he felt himself slowing down near a random dirt road. He turned down to it, without even thinking about the action.

"Where the hell are you taking us?"

"Dunno...have a feeling there's something this way."

"What?"

"If there's someone's house this way, we can just knock them out and use there stuff." He answered as they entered a forest, dense and dark. It reminded him of his vision he had in the forest earlier that day, except the sun appeared to be peeking out of the gaps from above them. It produced a sense of calm for him, as if he had known this place all of his life. It felt like coming home, the same vibe he received from the bunker, just stronger.

"It would be easier to kill them, so they don't wake up."

"No, and I already told you why," They exited the forest with no warning, as if someone had abruptly cut the trees at the edge. He frowned at that, before noticing the huge field surrounding them, seeing a tiny dot of a house in the distance. "See? Middle of nowhere, perfect for knocking out someone, without anyone seeing."

"I don't know what the fuck is over there, but it feels wrong." Cas whispered, eyes beginning to grow wide.

He frowned, feeling the opposite "What, like a demon?"

"...worse...stop the car..."

"Do you think it's whatever is after us?" He inquired, feeling the sense of home slowly leave him. They were already half-way there though, so whatever was there probably already knew they were there.

"STOP THE FUCKING CAR!"

Dean slowed down, a cloud of dirt surrounding them, before coming to a stop. He put the car in park, looking to Cas. "What is it?"

"It feels wrong. We need to leave."

"I'm not going to leave. Crowley is half dead and we're gonna lose him if we don't find somewhere to save his ass quickly."

"...someone is heading over here." Cas hissed, appearing quite tense by the figure heading down the road to them. Dean frowned, realizing the person was wearing a type of white looking space suit. The angel appeared genuinely frightened, breathing like he ran a marathon. The blond squinted at the figure once more, realizing it was a beekeeper suit.

"He feels wrong...holy shit, get us out of here! Now!"

Dean put the car in reverse, beginning to go down the road backwards as fast as he could. Suddenly the beekeeper was directly in front of the car, grabbing the hood with one hand. The Impala no longer moved, the stranger holding it in place with his strength. Dean slammed harder on the gas, attempting to go quickly backwards. Nothing happened though, except for the squealing of tires and the huge cloud of dust forming. Suddenly the engine died completely and the car went into park on its own. Dean froze, a darkness surrounding him, feelings of foreboding forming. The beekeeper was directly by his window, the window opening on its own. Dean couldn't move, paralyzed by fear. He heard Cas next to them, sounding spooked. "Holy shit..."

The beekeeper began to remove his hat, bees buzzing out of the hat as he did so. Bees? Dean expecting a hideously dangerous creature underneath. He didn't seem to be bothered by the bees being inside his suit. Instead a grumpy middle ashes man was revealed. Dark hair and beard streaked with white, eyes a nearly glowing blue color. Eyes such as that should be innocent enough, but they seemed to filled with danger. His voice sounded gruff, quiet. "Why are you here?"

"Uh...I-I, uh..." Dean stuttered, unable to speak.

"Leave, Dean Winchester."

Dean blanched. "...how...d-do you know my name?"

The beekeeper's eyes shifted to Cas, whose my mouth stayed shut, eyes full of terror. Those dangerous eyes continued to the back seat, mouth frowning deeper as he noticed Crowley. "...what happened to him?"

He tone changed slightly, sounding slightly confused. Dean suddenly felt as though he could speak, fear draining from his body. "...you a demon?"

"I suppose that's what you humans would call me."

He wasn't human then."So, are you then?"

"Not exactly."

"What are you then? A vampire?"

Cas seemed to finally speak up, voice shaking heavily. "H-He's C-Cain."

End Chapter 2

I honestly wasn't planning on updating this any longer, but after finally starting to watch season 12 (I know that I'm like a year late), I was inspired to finish this story. The updating will be random at best unfortunately, since I'm busy with work. I know it's been at least a year since the reboot of the first chapter, and at least 3 years since the original idea, but I'm wanting to actually finish this one. I should at least get a new chapter once of month, but if I'm lucky I can do more than that. If any of you followers are still interested in this, please leave a comment. For new readers, please follow or favorite if you like. Thank you!
