Loveless Life

"DAMN IT!" I groaned as I flew back, my blades stained with now evaporating Grimm Blood. For all the damage I attempted to do, striking his chest over and over again with no result. I flew once again for a flurry of strikes. The blades piercing flesh but it regenerated faster than my own blades could cut. Every damn time. Flying backwards, I could hear laughter.

"You think than puny machine can do any damage to me? Tell me this human, have you ever felt pain so dear that wish for the sweet embrace of death himself?" The Grimm asked as I launched another volley of slices and a burst from the mech's gatling. Yet the skin and scales once regenerated. A large flashing indicator flashed on my screen. With the words in red bold, I turned to the direction to see a massive hand of pure black as I focused all thrusts ahead of me to push me back. Then another idicator popped up to turn around and see yet another hand. Both simultaneously crushing me and the suit together. At first, no pain was at all as the flesh crushed against the metal. Soon however, I felt nothing but the bunch. My arms pinned to my side the hands crushed multiple bones, metal tearing into skin, blood pouring out of open wounds as I screamed in god painful agony. At that point, there was nothing more comforting than death. It is what my body and my mind wanted both at the same time. However, somewhere, somehow in the dark corner of my mind. I wanted to live.

"N-Natalie..." I groaned softly through the darkness and blood as a face appeared on my metal faceplate, one I could barely make out.

"GABRIEL! DON'T YOU DARE DIE! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T!" The voice screamed again. Was it my final hallucination mocking me of what I couldn't have?

"Get back Natalie! I got this!" Murasaki's face came up on the screen as I heard a large blast from a cannon and a scream of pain from the Alpha Grimm as it's grip loosened on me as I pressed a small button releasing my bloody body from my metal prison to the air around me as I saw a massive hole in the chest of the Grimm, its beating heart in front of me. Grabbing my Gunblade from the side with my only good arm. Stepping off the heavily damaged suit using it as a propellant. I aimed for the massive heart. As I had only one chance to kill this creature once and for all. The wind smacking my face and broken body, I had to kill the creature once and for all. I looked seeing the same transport with Murasaki in it along with...Natalie. The cyan haired sniper who I told to leave, who ironically saved me from my own demise. I aimed my sword blade forward as I did a straight drop into the massive piece of beating flesh. The impact softened by its own flesh. The sword did a clean pierce as I pulled the trigger on the massive revolver, unleashing all 6 rounds of magnum ammo into its heart, using the momentum of each and every shot to make a massive slice into it's flesh. Leaving one final pierce into's heart after the ammo had run out. Laughing, soaked of the blood of the Alpha Grimm.

"To answer your question, I have felt so much pain that death's embrace would be welcoming, multiple times actually. But today. I take your life. NOW!" I screamed one last time as I twisted the blade hearing a massive cry of pain from the Alpha Grimm as I let go of the blade backing away from the hacked and bloody heart that had stopped before me as I fell out of the hole that it had created. My eyes closing before my body fell to it's imminent demise.

"GABRIEL!" I screamed seeing him fall from the now dying creature's chest cavity. Reaching my hand out to the man who could far from hear or see me. However, I saw a flash or red as a man with long blonde hair teleported mid air. Grabbing Gabriel in his arms before disappearing from sight entirely. I breathed a sigh of relief from the sight. Seeing the massive airships below us firing upon the damaged Alpha Grimm. Knowing their was no way of it surviving the assault from the massive carriers. Murasaki patted me on the shoulder.

"You know what they have to do right?" He asked me as I cried softly.

"I do Murasaki, not that I agree with it. I loved him, and he is gone now. What do I do? Tell me?" I asked him as he gave me a friendly embrace.

"You do what he would want. Keep surviving, keep fighting and keep him in your memory. Now come on kiddo, we did our job to help him. Now let's go find Yang. I know she is out there. So we will do out best. Is that understood?" He asked as I gave a small smile.

"Yea, yea I do." I responded as I turned back one last time towards the Alpha Grimm.

"Good luck Gabriel..." I said softly.

Elsewhere...

The sounds and lights of the world came to me once more as I tried to recollect what happened. My body still in massive pain from earlier. My limp head falling to one side as I saw a tall man with silver blonde hair, blood red eyes and a long coat that was black as midnight. He looked down upon me as I groaned in pain.

"Brother, our time, it has finally arrived. For many decades, the Kerrigan family has lived above the law, abusing the authority of it. But today, it all comes to an end. For we are to finally die with this world once and for all. And I shall make that happen. And so shall you. For I intend neither of us to leave here alive. For we are the Paragons of Fate. And today, we shall live our fate and destiny. Right here and right now." He finished talking as he pulled 2 things from his coat. A syringe and a knife. He tossed the syringe just within my reach.

"A syringe full of all the shit they use for accelerated healing. Should heal that broken body of yours to before." He said softly.

"And...the knife?" I asked as he chuckled raising it to his head.

"For this brother." He responded by slicing both of his eyes as he screamed in pain as I gripped the syringe tightly, jamming it into my arm before injecting it. My body repairing itself like normal aura, but quicker and faster. I grunted in pain as he dropped the knife, blood dripping from his eyes.

"What in the hell?"

"I know this world better with no eyes at all." He said wrapping a red clothe around his head, covering his bloody eyes. "I would know, because for 5 years of my life, I trained to see this world without eyes. Since a certain someone cut them out from me. And now, I shall end this life, without them. I loved you brother, but since that day I have swore nothing but revenge. And today I shall have whether you want it or not. The Alpha Grimm is dead, Yang is saved and all loose ends are tied once and for all. Except for the one that is in front of me. So what do you say Gabriel Kerrigan? Shall we fight to the bitter end?" He asked with a half cocked smile.

"Yes...let's."
