You, and I
We're like four-year-olds
We want to know why
And how come about everything
We want to reveal ourselves at will
And speak our minds

"Can't catch me, Kairi!"
Sora laughed as he ran down the beach. Kairi was not far behind, swinging a board and shouting random challenges.
"Oh, Sora! When I catch you...!"
Try as she might, though, Kairi wasn't near as fast as Sora. He spun around and stuck his tongue out at her just before turning a corner and running up to the little platform where Tidus practiced kendo. Realizing his mistake, Sora was about to jump off the edge into the water when Kairi grabbed his hood and pulled him back.
"Ha! Got you!" She smirked at him, crossing her arms.
Sora fell to his knees and raised his hands in a praying position. "Oh, please, Kairi! Be merciful!" He joked and pleaded.
"Yeah, right." She laughed as she whacked Sora none-too-gently with the board.
"OWW! That /hurt/!" Sora stood and rubbed his cheek.
"Well, yeah, that was the point." She smiled competitively at him.
"Fine, have it your way!" Sora drew out his wooden sword.
"Crap, you know I'm no good at dueling!" She raised the board defensively.
"Well, yeah, that was the point." He repeated her words, and charged after her. Kairi's turn to run.
"SORAAA! Stop! Ahh!" She jumped down the boardwalk from the platform, headed for the ladder. Sora had almost caught up with her. 'Screw it!' She jumped off, landing rather oddly on her ankle, and began to limp away.
Sora followed closely, and tackled her on the beach. "Who's got who now?" He flashed his trademark grin.
"Agh! Fine, you win." She sighed in defeat. Better than getting whacked with that sword. It was harder than it looked. But she could whack him with a board. Because she was a girl, and she needed to defend herself. Yep.
"So, what do I get since I won?" He smiled, sitting on her legs.
"I dunno. What were we fighting about?" She said absentmindedly.
"I dunno. Stuff?" He cocked an eyebrow and grinned.
"Well, whatever it was, you get the satisfaction of knowing that you were right... I guess." She honestly couldn't remember what had sent her screaming down the beach after Sora, but it didn't seem to matter now. They'd made up, and all was right with the world. Couldn'tve been big if she couldn't remember.
"Aw, that's all? But... I don't even know what I was right about!" He pouted, giving her a pair of big, puppy dog eyes.
"Uh... Well, what do you want then, Sora?" She eyed him curiously.
"Hmm..." He looked over at his feet, looking deep in thought. "I guess I want... This!" At this point, Sora literally jumped on her, sealing their lips together in an awkward yet satisfying kiss. Sora pulled away, looking down into her large, violet eyes. "I win!"
"Heh," Kairi breathed, staring up at Sora, a look of triumph on his face. "So... You wanted... Me?"
"Guess so." He grinned broadly at her. "Well, I'll see ya later, ok, Kairi?" He stood and offered his hand to her.
"Uh, ok..." She replied uncertainly as she took his hand and was pulled to her feet.
"'Bye!" He called out as he ran down the beach to the other side of the island. Kairi merely stood there with her arms crossed and a small smile playing on her lips. Honestly, Sora was so /weird/ sometimes.

Bwee, wasn't that fun? I liked it. Just a little childish fic about young love. I might continue it some day, though I have no plans.
It all depends on if the spirit moves me.
This is for Tiger5913, because she asked me to do a SoKairi. ^_^
Tonight I'll dream while in my bed
When silly thoughts go through my head
About the bugs and alphabet
And when I wake tomorrow I'll bet
That you and I will walk together again
Cuz I can tell that we are going to be friends
We're like four-year-olds
We want to know why
And how come about everything
We want to reveal ourselves at will
