Sorry that it's been so long since I updated, I won't make any excuses and I won't ask you to understand, it's been my fault that it's been so long and I'm sorry for that. I might be a little rusty, but I hope that you still enjoy reading, that is if you're still reading anyway.

Hiccup woke up lying on the lunge, his legs curled up against his chest for warmth. The night was heavily clouded and almost no light made its way through the windows. Hiccup raised his head and looked into the darkness letting his eyes fix on the dark silhouette of the T.V. He thought about just lying there, but something caught in his mind and he sat up. He gave a quick survey of the room, finding nothing out of the ordinary. He sat back a bit against the lounge, letting his thoughts slowly gather in his head. It didn't take long for him to realise that there was something missing, or someone.

He quickly looked to his right, remembering where he had last seen Toothless sitting. He was nowhere in sight, however, and Hiccup decided to look around for him. The thought of Toothless going home was at the front of Hiccup's mind, and he was sure that was what had happened. He still needed to check though, it was as if something inside him was forcing him to look through the house for someone he was sure was gone. He checked in the kitchen first, slowly taking in the dark shapes around him. He had been walking through the kitchen often enough that he knew when something was out of place, which is how he noticed that one of the chairs at the table was gone. H walked further into the kitchen, keeping an eye out for the missing chair.

It wasn't long until he found it, sitting against the bench top in front of the kitchen window. Hiccup felt like his heart was about to explode when he realised that there was a figure on the chair, having to calm himself down. 'It's just Toothless' he told himself, raising and lowering his arms in an attempt to calm his breathing. He slowly walked closer towards Toothless, calling out quietly to see if he was awake or not. Toothless didn't reply, so Hiccup assumed that he was asleep. He finally closed the distance between Toothless and himself, after what seemed like an eternity of suspense to him. He could hear Toothless' quiet breathing and ducked down to see his face.

Toothless was shivering from the cold and Hiccup had to reach past him to close the window behind him. Hiccup wasn't quite sure what to do, so he decided the best option was to try and get Toothless into bed up stairs. Hiccup nudged Toothless on the shoulder lightly, whispering his name in an attempt to wake him up without frightening him. Toothless' eyes opened slightly and he mumbled something.

"Hey Toothless, come on upstairs, its cold down here" Hiccup said, resting his hand on Toothless' shoulder.

Toothless nodded his head lazily, grabbing hold of Hiccup's arm and standing up as he did. He barely had his eyes open and Hiccup was being forced to carry most of his weight, trying to make sure he didn't fall over. Toothless was a bit wobbly but after a few seconds he seemed to be able to stand fairly well. He yawned loudly and buried his face in Hiccup's neck, breathing in deeply and smiling as he did. Hiccup nearly fell over when Toothless leaned into him, struggling to stay on his feet.

Toothless wrapped his arms around Hiccup's chest, mumbling something into his neck as he did so.

"Come on, just gotta get up the stairs now" Hiccup said, starting to pull Toothless towards the stairs.

"You smell nice" Toothless mumbled, pulling his arms around Hiccup tighter.

"Sure, whatever you say" Hiccup replied, finally reaching the staircase.

After a few minutes of effort Hiccup finally managed to get to the top of the staircase, with Toothless hanging onto him like his life depended on it. Hiccup stopped for a few seconds, leaning against the wall to catch his breath, with Toothless still hanging onto him. After a few minutes they finally managed to stumble into the bedroom, Hiccup nearly dropping the half asleep Toothless. He wondered how Toothless could sleep through so much, he may as well have been carrying Toothless entirely, although he doubted he would e able to lift his weight.

Hiccup leaned down a little bit, trying to let Toothless drop onto the bed, but let out a shocked cry when Toothless pulled him down with him. Toothless wrapped his arms around Hiccup tightly, pulling him close against him. Hiccup's hands were stuck underneath his chin, Toothless wrapping his arms around Hiccup's forearms. Hiccup struggled a little bit, but Toothless just hugged him tighter, squeezing his breath out.

Hiccup relaxed a little bit and so did Toothless, letting him catch his breath again. After finally calming down and gathering his thoughts Hiccup realised how close he was to Toothless, a light blush spreading across his face. He could fell Toothless' heart beat and steady breathing, he could fell the warmth radiating off him. Toothless seemed happy enough just lying there, Hiccup wasn't even sure if Toothless knew that he was there.

Toothless woke up in bed, the sun shining in his eyes. He wasn't sure how he got there, he was sure that he had fallen asleep somewhere downstairs. He rolled away from the wall, stretching his arm out. A frown crossed his face, he wasn't sure why but he felt like something was missing. He opened his eyes, seeing the bed in front of him, there was nothing out of the ordinary and he wasn't sure why he felt like there was. It felt like the memory was scratching at his mind but he couldn't place it.

He got out of bed slowly, finding his crutches leaning against the wall and a set of clothes at the end of his bed. He ignored the clothes, grabbing his crutches and heading to the doorway. He leaned against the doorframe and poked his head out, looking to see if he could find Hiccup. He didn't see anything but he could smell cooking coming from downstairs and assumed that's where Hiccup was. The thought of taking his medication crossed his mind briefly but he dismissed it with a shake of his head, hobbling towards the staircase.

He slowly made his way downstairs, hearing the sounds of something cooking from the kitchen, the smell getting stronger as he got closer. he could see Hiccup in stirring something in a frypan, adding some kind of sauce every now and then. He decided not to bother him while he was busy and headed back u stairs, deciding that he would have a quick shower before heading back down. Toothless grabbed the clothes that were at the end of his bed and headed into the bathroom, quickly getting undressed and stepping into the shower. He closed his eyes and let the hot water run through his hair, thinking back on the past few days, thinking of Hiccup.
