Chapter Seventeen: Aftermath

Laying on the uneven ground, Gohan took a moment to catch his breath. He had just been in a fight, which although it wasn't the toughest, certainly did wear on him. Not just that, but the battle ended with a pretty intense beam struggle. He had put all he had into his Kamehameha Wave, and as such didn't have much left in the tank. Still the half-Saiyan had done it, he had won.

It felt like so long, but in actuality only a few days had passed at most. He remembered showing up for the World Martial Arts Tournament with his friends, and how his deceased father would be making a surprise appearance. Little did he or anyone else know that the Earth, no the universe, was going to be in danger yet again. He also didn't expect to receive a massive power boost, nor did he expect he would be the one to save the day. Then again, he had done so seven years ago, so part of him had to expect it would happen again.

Well that was before he gained a power boost, as before that he wasn't nearly as strong as he was when he fought Cell. Gohan could admit that he took it easy on the training after defeating Cell, but only because there wasn't much of a need. Sure there had always been the risk of another villain showing up, but he figured he had been strong enough as it was... that of course wasn't true, as seen with Majin Buu, but he figured he didn't have to worry about that now.

"Fer someone lyin' on uneven ground ya sure look comfortable."

The half-Saiyan sat up slightly and noticed the Ponies gathered around him. His father was slightly further back, and Vegeta even further. A small chuckle escaped his mouth. "Trust me after you expend all of your energy you can pretty much relax anywhere and find it comfortable."

Twilight smiled. "Well you've certainly earned a little rest."

"Gohan that was super awesome, you totally kicked Buu's flank!" Rainbow exclaimed.

"Even I can admit that your battle was cool." Rarity added.

Princess Celestia took a few steps forward before locking eyes with the hero. "Gohan, you have once again saved Equestria from certain destruction. While I mourn the loss of our beloved subjects I am truly grateful. Your actions today saved not only Equestria, but the entire universe as well." She then bowed to him.

Luna joined her sister and bowed as well. She was also grateful, but that might have been an understatement. Not only had Equestria been saved, but the entire universe as well, as her sister had said. There was just not enough praise that could be given to the heroic half-Saiyan.

He smiled weakly at them. "N-no problem, it was the least I could do."

A few seconds later Goku approached his son, and extended a hand down to him. As soon as his son took hold he helped him up. "Gohan, I'm so proud of you. You defeated Majin Buu and saved the universe, which not even me or Vegeta could do. I know you've been more focused on your studies lately, but you're still a true warrior just like your old man."

Some tears came to the half-Saiyan's eyes as he wrapped his arms around his father and hugged him. While he knew he had done something incredible it was nice to hear praise for it, more specifically from his father. That just meant that even with all of his stumbles his father was still proud of him, and that was all he needed to hear.

Goku had returned the embrace, and it had felt like such a long time since he had held his son.

Everypony smiled at the sight of the father and son hug.

Meanwhile Vegeta was disgusted by the display, thinking it disgraceful for Saiyan warriors to hug.

The Saiyan the broke apart the embrace, and then took a few steps past his son. "Well it was nice to meet you all, but I think it's time we get going. Those Dragon Balls aren't going to collect themselves."

"Right..." Gohan said with a small amount of disappointment in his voice.

That wasn't lost on Goku, who figured out pretty quickly why his son seemed so down. "Hey don't worry, after we bring everyone back we can come back and visit."

Hearing that made the half-Saiyan's eyes light up. While he obviously wanted to get the Dragon Balls and restore those that Buu killed he also wanted to spend some time with his friends. It had been seven years after all, and there were probably some things he missed out on in Equestria.

Thankfully he would have his chance to catch up with his old friends, not that he was worried that wouldn't happen. He knew that at some point he would have returned to Equestria, and while the half-Saiyan wanted to get right into it he realized it could wait. Bringing back everyone Buu killed was the main priority, and his friends could wait.

"Hey Vegeta, you wanna come with us?" The palm tree-haired Saiyan asked.

It seemed like the Saiyan Prince's choices were either go with Kakarot and the brat, or stay with the Ponies... and it didn't take him long to make a decision. "Fine I'll join you... but only because I can't stand another minute on this miserable planet."

Princess Luna grumbled. "Does he always complain?" She whispered to her sister, who let out a small chuckle.

"Am I dead, or did Buu absorb all of you as well and this is what it's like inside of his body?"

Everypony turned and saw Discord floating in the sky above them, and watched as he slowly descended onto the ground next to them. "Discord!" They cried as they ran over and hugged him tightly.

A smile came to the Draconequus' face in response. "I must be dead, because I've never been hugged this much."

"You're not dead Discord, you're very much alive. It's thanks to the efforts of Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan."

Hearing that name made Discord pause, and for a moment he thought he misheard her. His eyes drifted over to the three people standing in close proximity to one another. Two of them were complete strangers, but one of them seemed familiar. "G-Gohan?" Upon squinting his eyes further he saw the resemblance.

"It's great to see you again Discord." While he may not have spent much time with the Dranconequus he had grown to like him. It was always nice seeing formerly evil people on the side of good, especially since it didn't happen that often on Earth. That wasn't his only reason for liking Discord, but it certainly helped.

"Well look at you, you've grown so much." The Draconequus noted as he walked up to the man. "These past seven years have obviously been good to you, and in case you were wondering they've been good to me too. We really should catch up... it's just a shame Fluttershy isn't here." Tears fell down his face at the mention of his deceased friend.

"Hey don't worry she's not going to be dead for too much longer." Gohan said, confusing him. "We're about to go collect the Dragon Balls, and once we do we can bring everyone Buu killed back to life."

Discord paused once again, and he found himself staring blankly at the man. Several seconds later he grabbed the half-Saiyan by the collar and pulled him in close. "What are you doing standing around here then?!"

The half-Saiyan flinched a little at the assault on his eardrums. "Well we were about to head out when-"

"DAD!"

Everybody turned to the source of the voice and saw Goten, Trunks, and Piccolo flying toward them.

As soon as Goten landed on the ground he ran right up to Goku, which wasn't a surprise. What was a surprise though was Trunks running over to Vegeta and hugging him, who didn't quite share the same enthusiasm.

Nopony expected Vegeta would have a son, especially since they didn't look that much alike. It also came as a surprise because of the Saiyan's personality. He was rude, impatient, and seemed a tad selfish. Somehow he had found somepony to marry him, which was a little shocking. Not that they were against the idea, it was just a little odd.

Vegeta glanced down at his son, who was squeezing his leg tightly. On the outside he had the same indifference, but on the inside he was actually happy. Although he never showed it the Saiyan Prince did care for his son, hence why him being inside of Buu made Vegeta all the angrier. Now though his son had returned to him, and that was enough to make him smile... on the inside.

"So where's Majin Buu?" Piccolo questioned.

"He's gone, Piccolo. Gohan took care of him." Goku explained.

The Namekian walked over to his friend. "So you've saved the day once again, good job kid." He smirked proudly before placing a hand on his friend's shoulder.

"Thanks Piccolo."

"Hey dad, what happened to that thing over your head?" Goten asked.

Goku's gaze shifted upwards for a moment before a realization hit him. "Oh yeah, that's right. Well after helping Gohan train in the Other World I stayed with the Supreme Kais to watch the fight, and after you guys got absorbed we realized Gohan needed help. So this Old Kai gave me his life."

Having been so preoccupied with dealing with Buu and saving the universe, Gohan hadn't even noticed the lack of a halo over his father's head. There had been multiple times when he should have noticed it, but he didn't. While he felt a little silly for not noticing until now he didn't really care, as this meant his father was back for good. And he could only imagine how his mother was going to react.

Meanwhile Goten's eyes were full of tears as he tightened his grip around his father. Unlike his brother he hadn't grown up with him, and only had stories to go on. So when his father had come back during the tournament the half-Saiyan had been overjoyed, a little shy at first, but happy none the less. Now his father was alive, and he would finally get to spend some time with him.

Everypony smiled at the sight, feeling happy for the Saiyan families. Buu had not only effected Equestria, but Earth as well. So much had been taken from them, and now they were getting it back. Those thought lost inside Buu had returned, and if what Gohan said was true then those who had died would be coming back as well.

"Hey!" Vegeta yelled, ruining the sweet moment. "I hate to interrupt this, but we're wasting time!"

A sheepish chuckle escaped Goku's mouth. "Oh yeah right, the Dragon Balls." He continued chuckling before closing his eyes and concentrating. Shortly after he placed two fingers to his forehead, and continued searching. Several moments later his eyes shot open. "There it is, I've got it."

Soon after the Saiyans, and Namekian began walking over to him.

"Dad where are we going?" Trunks questioned as he followed his father.

"Home..."

"Alright, that's all seven."

Standing on Kami's Lookout were the remaining Z Fighters, who had just returned from gathering the Dragon Balls. The plan had been to gather the Dragon Balls if the Time Chamber entrance had been destroyed, as that meant Buu was sealed inside of there forever. Then they would use the wishes to get Goten, Trunks, and Piccolo out of there.

Bulma stared at the seven glowing orbs intently. "Well this is it... Shenron, arise!"

The sky darkened as the Dragon Balls started glowing even brighter. Shortly after a bright light shot up from the orbs, almost like electricity. It zoomed around the sky, twisting and turning, before eventually settling. As the light faded a giant green dragon was revealed, one that loomed over the Lookout. "I AM THE ETERNAL DRAGON! SPEAK YOUR WISHES NOW!"

Everyone smiled as Krillin prepared to make the first wish. "Mighty Shenron, please bring-"

The sounds of materializing cut the bald man off, and when he and everyone else turned to the source they all gasped. Not only were Goten Trunks and Piccolo standing there, but also Gohan, Vegeta and Goku. They were all at a loss for words and found themselves simply staring at the group of six.

After several moments Goku finally spoke up. "Hi!"

Without hesitation they all ran toward the group, although some weren't as enthusiastic as others. Still they couldn't believe what they were seeing, and for a moment they thought it wasn't real. Last they heard Gohan and Vegeta were dead, Goku had returned to the Other World, and Goten Trunks and Piccolo were trapped inside of the Time Chamber. Numerous questions came to their minds, and now was the time to get answers.

"Oh Vegeta!" Bulma cried as she threw herself at her husband.

Vegeta flinched at the sudden embrace, as no matter how many times it happened he still wasn't used to getting hugged. Despite his discomfort he was happy to see his wife, and would at some point let her know how much he missed her.

Videl did something similar, but instead of hugging the Saiyan Prince she embraced her boyfriend. "Oh Gohan, it's so good to see you again!"

Gohan returned the embrace. "It's good to see you too Videl."

"What are you guys doing here?" Yamcha asked.

"Yeah I thought you were all still trapped in the Time Chamber." Android 18 added.

"Goku what happened to your halo?" Krillin questioned.

"It's a long story, you see-"

"AHEM!" Shenron called out, getting everyone's attention. "YOU HAVE SUMMONED ME, SPEAK YOUR WISHES NOW!"

Goku let out a sheepish chuckle. "I guess I can tell you after we make these wishes. Oh, and thanks for collecting the Dragon Balls." He then took a few steps forward. "Shenron, please bring back everyone that Majin Buu killed!"

In an instant the Dragon's eyes began glowing red, which lasted a few moments before they stopped. "IT HAS BEEN DONE! SPEAK YOUR SECOND WISH NOW!"

A moment of pause followed as the palm tree-haired Saiyan contemplated the second wish, but it didn't take him long to think of one. "I wish to restore all of the damage done by Majin Buu!"

Once again the Dragon's eyes glowed red before returning to normal. "YOUR WISHES HAVE BEEN GRANTED, FAREWELL!" With his work done the Eternal Dragon returned into the Dragon Balls. Shortly after the seven orbs rose up into the air, and after a quick spin shot off into multiple directions.

Soon after the sky returned to its normal color.

Goku smiled at the sight, as it meant that everything was now back to normal. While it may have been easier to use one wish to fix everything he wouldn't have wanted to ask too much of the Eternal Dragon. Besides, it wasn't like he had anything else to wish for anyway.

"So Goku, are you going to fill us in on what happened?" Master Roshi questioned.

Right as he was about to speak the palm tree-haired Saiyan noticed someone materializing, and it didn't take him long to realize who it was. "Chi Chi!"

Chi Chi didn't respond right away, as her mind was trying to process what was going on. Her last memory was being in the Other World with Dabura, Spike, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy. Now it seemed she was back on Kami's Lookout, which meant she was alive. As if it couldn't get better, she was standing across from her husband and two sons.

Tears came to her eyes as she stared at her family. "G-Goku... is that really you?"

"Of course, who else would it be?"

Without warning she sprinted over to her husband and threw herself at him, and the hug she gave him was returned in full. Even if it hadn't actually been that long it felt like forever since she held her husband and sons in her arms. Part of her questioned if she really was alive, or if this was all some crazy dream. Her doubt didn't last though, as everything around her told her she was very much alive.

Goku continued hugging his wife before noticing everybody was staring at him, and realized it was time to tell everyone what had happened. He then went on to explain what had happened, with Piccolo chiming in on how he and the boys escaped the Time Chamber. After that the Saiyan continued, recounting the events to the best of his abilities.

As soon as the story had been finished a pause ensued, which lasted several moments before Krillin spoke up. "Wow, so Gohan ended up saving the world again. Who would have thought?"

"Well I'm just glad Buu's gone for good." Bulma noted.

"Yeah way to step it up!" Yamcha added excitedly.

Gohan smiled in response. "Thanks guys."

"And now I have my whole family back together!" Chi Chi exclaimed. "When we get home I'm going to cook an extra special meal."

The mention of a meal made Goku's stomach growl, as well as put a big smile on his face. "Great I'm starving!" His eyes then drifted over to his eldest son, who was giving him a look. "Actually, there's something Gohan and I need to do first, but I promise it won't take long."

Instead of being angry, as one might expect, Chi Chi was still smiling. "Alright, just don't take too long." Normally she would be furious at her husband for suddenly leaving, especially if he just returned from a long absence, but not in this case. Her husband was alive once again, and that was all that mattered to her.

"Ready to go son?" The Saiyan asked as he placed a hand on his son's shoulder.

"Yeah."

Nodding, Goku placed two fingers to his forehead and began concentrating. It took only a little bit for him to relocate Equestria, and as soon as he did he teleported over there.

Bulma found herself smiling as she turned to her husband. "Wasn't that just wonderful Vegeta?" Her eyes then wandered up to his head, or rather what was floating above it. "Vegeta..."

It didn't take the Saiyan Prince long to realize what she was staring at. "Buu didn't kill me... I sacrificed myself in an attempt to destroy him. King Yemma allowed me to come back for a day though to help finish off Buu."

"So what happens after the day ends?" Trunks questioned.

"Then I return to Other World." Vegeta answered.

Trunks found himself at a loss for words as he stared up at his father hopelessly. He had just been reunited with his father, but soon enough they were going to be separated again. It just wasn't fair, not at all. "Dad..."

Bulma found herself saddened as well, but only for a moment as she remembered an important fact. "Hey wait we can use the Namekian Dragon Balls, since those can bring a person back an indefinite number of times!"

Hearing that made the half-Saiyan cheer.

"And how exactly do you plan on getting to New Namek in a day?" The Prince of Saiyans asked.

"Goku can use his Instant Transmission, and I'm sure the Namekians will be happy to help."

As much as Vegeta detested the idea of his rival helping him out he decided against protesting. His family hadn't taken the fact that he only had a day on Earth pretty well, and although he would never say so out loud he didn't want to upset them. His wife also seemed eager to put this plan into action, and he knew from experience how big their arguments could get. Not just that but he was a lot stronger than when he died, and being alive would give him a chance to finally show Kakarot who was number one.

"Fine... but don't think I'll be any nicer to Kakarot because of this!"

Twilight, her friends, Discord, and the two other Princesses hadn't moved since the six heroes left. They were simply waiting for their friends to return, as they wanted to be there right when they came back. Not just because of that, but also to have a little rest. They may not have been the ones fighting, but it was still an exhausting day.

"And that should do it." Discord noted as he stared at the remade Ponyville, which was done thanks to his magic. Luckily he had a photographic memory of the town, and as such was able to recreate perfectly.

"Thanks Discord." Princess Celestia smiled.

"No problem, it was the least I could do."

Twilight then turned to her former mentor. "So how long do you think it'll take for Gohan and his dad to gather the Dragon Balls?"

"I do not know, but I'm sure it won't take too long. We just need to be patient."

Rarity found herself pacing lightly, as the wait was getting to her. It had felt like forever since she held her Spikey Wikey in her hooves, and she couldn't wait for him to return to her. Obviously she was excited to see Pinkie and Fluttershy, but her heart yearned for her Dragon!

Rainbow Dash also found it hard to sit still, which was already a problem for her, but now it was even worse. Her home had been restored, leaving no traces of Buu having been there... except for the fact that there was nopony around. Aside from her and the rest of her friends there was nopony in Ponyville, having died because of the monster. Luckily they would be coming back, but that couldn't come soon enough.

"Boy you two sure seemed worked up." Applejack noted.

"How can you not be?!" The cyan mare snapped. "Ponyville's a ghost town and we have to wait for everypony to come back!"

"Ah know that, but pacin' around ain't gonna make the time go by faster. Believe me, ah can't wait fer mah family ta come back, but ya just gotta be patient."

Princess Luna looked over to the Loyal Pegasus. "Your friend is right Rainbow Dash, Gohan promised that everypony would be revived. I am sure this process isn't easy, so we have to give them some time."

A few moments later a wonderful sight graced the group, which was the Ponies of Ponyville coming back into existence. It was a pretty surreal sight to say the least, but it meant that Gohan and his dad had been successful. Everypony who had died in the battle had returned, and now everything was truly back to normal.

For the townsponies it was a crazy experience. One moment they were carrying on business as usual, and then there was a sudden flash of light. After that was a little fuzzy, and nopony knew what was happening. That didn't last long though, as soon enough they were back in Ponyville, where they were greeted by the sounds of heavy cheering. It was a bit of a confusing sight, but they just figured a party of some sort was going to happen.

"They did it!" The Princess of Friendship cheered as she was hugged tightly by her friends.

"So this means..." Rarity could already feel the tears coming to her eyes.

"What are we waiting for?!" Rainbow Dash instantly zoomed off toward Sweet Apple Acres.

Spike took a good look around, all the while noting everything looked different. It didn't take him long to realize that he wasn't in Other World anymore, no, he was home. There was no mistaking that barn, or all of those apple trees. A huge grin came to his face as the realization hit him.

"Hey we're back in Equestria."

He looked over and noticed Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy were there as well, and although it wasn't a surprise it was still an amazing sight to see.

Not even ten seconds back in Equestria and Pinkie had her Party Cannon in her grasp, which she proceeded to fire off. "Woo-hoo we're alive again! This calls for a party!"

The Dragon chuckled, because obviously the first thing the pink Pony wanted to do was throw a party.

Fluttershy found herself smiling warmly, as it felt great to be home. Her smile faded though when she noticed her usually cheerful friend frowning. "What's wrong Pinkie?" It was especially weird since she had been smiling moments prior.

"I guess I'm thinking about Dabura, and how much I'm going to miss him." Her time with the former King of Demons may have been short, but she felt she had made a real connection with him. He had been a great friend, and she was sad that she would no longer get to see him.

"It's okay Pinkie, I'm sure we'll see him again." Spike told her, even if he kind of doubted his own words.

The shy Pegasus nodded in agreement. "Besides, nopony is really gone as long as you remember them."

A few tears came to Pinkie's eyes at hearing the encouragement of her friends. "Aw thanks, that helped a lot!" Now she was feeling better, and was back in a partying mood.

Suddenly a rainbow-colored blur came flying by, and it crashed right into the yellow mare. On the ground Fluttershy slowly opened her eyes, and when she did she saw an incredible sight. "Rainbow Dash!"

Rainbow had her hooves wrapped tightly around her friend, and she had no intention of letting go. Tears slowly started leaking down her face as she held her best friend.

Pinkie Pie giggled for joy as she joined in on the hug, making it even tighter.

"Girls!"

"Fluttershy!"

"Spike!"

All eyes looked past the cyan Pegasus, where they noticed Celestia, Luna, Discord, and the rest of their friends.

Both Rarity and Twilight were running toward Spike, who was running to them, but in a moment of selfishness the Unicorn rammed into her friend and sent her crashing several feet away. She didn't care though, as she just had to see her coltfriend and she had to do it now!

The baby Dragon ran over to the love of his life, and once they were close enough he wrapped his arms around her. Instantly his lips pressed against hers, and never before had kissing felt so good. His body was practically melting as he passionately locked lips with his Rarity. 'I should be gone for long periods of time more often.'

On the flipside Rarity was feeling just as ecstatic, maybe even more so than him. It had always surprised just how good it felt to kiss Spike, especially since he was a Dragon. Yet she always enjoyed their makeout sessions, and this was no different.

"Ahem!"

They stopped and noticed Twilight standing near them, looking a little annoyed. It then dawned on the Unicorn what she had done had been rather rude, so with a sheepish chuckle she stepped aside.

Without hesitation Twilight wrapped her hooves around her still number one assistant and hugged him tightly. Spike was like a brother to her, and there wasn't anything she wouldn't do for him. Seeing him die had been horrible, but now he was back and the lavender mare couldn't have been happier.

Meanwhile Applejack was having a cheerful reunion with Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy, feeling overjoyed that they were alive once again.

Suddenly the shy mare found herself being picked up, and then wrapped in a tight hug. She turned her head and noticed Discord had taken a hold of her, and seeing him made her bright smile even brighter.

"Oh Fluttershy, you don't know how happy I am that you're back!" He cried out,

"I missed you too Discord." She told him.

"No seriously, he like really missed you. You should have seen the look on his face after Buu turned you into chocolate, I've never seen him angrier in my life." Rainbow stated.

"Well anypony who thinks they can just turn you into candy and eat you has another thing coming!"

Hearing that made the pink-maned Pegasus stare up at her friend, looking a little awestruck. It certainly didn't surprise her, as she knew how much she mattered to him. It was also nice to hear him say it.

At this point everypony was engaged in a group hug, even the Princesses. Again it hadn't actually been that long since they had seen one another, but it still felt like a lifetime. Luckily everything was back to normal, and nopony would be going anywhere anytime soon.

"Gosh I missed you girls so much!" Fluttershy stated.

"So what was it like being dead?" Rainbow asked, only to receive some glares. "What, I can't be the only Pony curious about it."

Eager to answer, Pinkie practically jumped into the air. "Oooh it was great well not really great I mean we were dead but it honestly felt no different than being alive and we all had these cool discs over our heads and the Other World as they called it was beautiful and we met Gohan's mom and this super nice Demon named Dabura and he and I are practically best friends."

Everypony looked genuinely surprised by that answer, and they weren't sure if their energetic friend was exaggerating or not. It usually didn't take much for Pinkie to say she had a great time, even in dire circumstances, but her saying that about being dead was a little surprising. They then turned toward their other two formally dead friends, hoping to get their input on the matter.

"She's kinda right, it wasn't all that bad." The Dragon answered.

Fluttershy nodded in agreement. "It certainly could have been worse."

"Well we're just so glad you're all back!" Twilight stated.

"Us too, but wait, where's-"

Not a moment later two figures suddenly appeared, several feet away from the group. Both men were wearing identical outfits.

They all turned to face them, and smiled upon seeing them. The Draconequus reluctantly released his grip on his friend, as he knew what would be coming next.

The shy Pegasus took a good long look at the two of them, and while she failed to recognize one the other looked a little familiar. She continued studying his face, and after only a few moments realization hit her like a brick. "G-Gohan...?"

A smile was on the half-Saiyan's face as he walked over to the Pegaus, stopping just a few feet away from her.

The longer she stared at him the more she noticed how much he had changed, yet at the same time he seemed no different. She held found memories of the boy who she had met on a far away planet, but now she was looking at a man. It wasn't just any man though, it was one of her best friends. It had been seven long years since she had seen him, and here he was.

Gohan let out a chuckle. "Aren't you going to say something?"

In an instant Fluttershy flew up and wrapped her hooves around his neck, nuzzling herself into him. To her luck she hadn't fazed through him, meaning it wasn't some wild dream. Mere seconds later she started crying, as she had never been so happy in her life. "Oh Gohan, I missed you so much!"

His arms wrapped around her body as he returned the hug, and he too found some tears coming to his eyes. "I missed you too."

Goku found himself smiling at the sight, and he truly felt happy for his son.

Everypony was also smiling warmly. They knew just how much Fluttershy missed him, even after all of these years. They were almost always able to cheer her up though, but even then their shy friend could still be pretty sad. So to see her crying in the arms of the friend she spent years missing was a heartwarming sight.

After several more moments the embrace was broken off, and the Pegasus got another good look at him. "Wow you've grown so much."

"Yeah... and I guess I'm not the only one." The half-Saiyan's gaze fell onto the Dragon, who was a lot bigger than last time.

Spike took this as his cue and ran over to his friend, and he too received a hug. It was a brief hug, but that was all that was needed. "Man I still can't believe it's you. I mean, just look at you." His friend had seemed tough before, but now he truly was a warrior.

"Long time no see Spike. So what have you been up to?"

"Oh you know, Dragon stuff. Helping Twilight, eating gemstones, spending time with my marefriend Rarity."

Gohan's face turned to one of surprise as he noticed the Pony in question saunter over to them.

"What can I say, Spike really knows how to make a Pony feel special. And I think tonight I'll have to show him just how much I missed him. " She smirked before leaning in close to her coltfriend, with her mouth right up against his ear. "I'll even break out the socks."

That had been said in a whisper, so that nopony could hear it. Unfortunately for them the pair of Saiyans had heard it. His son seemed to just ignore the comment, but Goku was just too curious to let it go. "I don't get it, why would Ponies need to wear socks?"

Both the Unicorn and the Dragon's faces instantly went blank.

As Goku stood there in confusion he noticed Pinkie was suddenly on his shoulder, and she whispered the answer into his ear. "Oh I get it! Huh that's still a little strange, I mean Chi Chi and I don't wear anything when we-"

In an instant Gohan had his hands over his father's mouth, and his face was quickly becoming red. "O-okay dad I think we get the point." That was way more information than he ever needed, or wanted, to know from his clueless father.

Applejack walked up to her now embarrassed friend. "Gee ah never knew you were inta that kinda stuff Rarity."

"What we do in the privacy of my home is none of your business!" She snapped.

Meanwhile Spike and Twilight were trying to avoid eye contact with one another. "So... we're just going to pretend this never happened?"

"Of course." Twilight hastily added. She didn't really care what her assistant did with his marefriend, as he was no longer a baby, but that didn't mean she wanted to know the details.

Noticing a lot of awkwardness in the air, Princess Celestia cleared her throat. "Well, seeing as how everything is back to normal I'd say it's time for Luna and I to take our leave. Those in Canterlot must still be worried, so we'd better go put their minds at ease."

Pinkie frowned. "Aw, but you're both totally invited to the 'Equestria is saved and Spike, Fluttershy, and I are alive again and Gohan is back' party!"

Luna let out a chuckle. "Perhaps later, once we've gotten everything under control."

The Princess of the Sun then walked over to Gohan, being followed closely by her sister. "I know our time together was short, and filled with danger, but it was great to see you again. Hopefully our next meeting won't be in another seven years."

"Don't worry, I'll try to stop by more often... somehow." It wouldn't be an easy feat though, as without using the Dragon Balls a ship was the fastest method of traveling between planets. A ship could only go so fast though, and he'd rather not spend long periods of time traveling to a far off planet. That doesn't mean he couldn't, he just didn't want to make the journey every single time.

Everypony frowned, as they had been reminded of the fact that their Saiyan friend lived on a very far away planet. Spending time together meant either a long journey for him, or for them, and they lacked the technology to even reach the atmosphere. Portal spells were an option, but those were kind of trial and error. And they also didn't want to make him travel such long distances just to see them.

Goku saw them all frowning, including his son, which made him think about a possible solution. He mulled it over for several moments before something came to him. "Hey I know, I can teach you Instant Transmission, that way you can come here any time you want!"

At his father's suggestion Gohan found himself smiling brightly. "Really?!"

"Sure, and I'll bet mastering it will take you no time at all."

"Wait that was what you did earlier to go home right?" Twilight questioned.

The palm tree-haired Saiyan nodded. "Yep, you de-materialize and travel as a mass of light. All you need to do is lock onto someone's energy, and then you're good to go."

While the lavender Pony questioned being able to de-materialize and travel as a mass of light she was glad to hear that plan. She knew it was possible, seeing as how the two Saiyans had left and come back, and that meant she wouldn't have to go so long without seeing one of her friends.

Fluttershy instantly flew up and hugged the half-Saiyan tightly. "Does this mean you'll visit everyday?"

"Well maybe not everyday, but as often as I can. At the very least I can pop in and say hi."

"That's awesome, because we have so much catching up to do." Rainbow smiled.

"Yeah, a lot has happened since ya last came here."

"So I see." The half-Saiyan replied, all the while noticing a big crystallized structure in the distance that certainly wasn't there before.

A few moments later Goku approached his son. "We should probably be getting back, I don't want to keep Chi Chi, or her food, waiting." It had been so long since he had any of his wife's food, and he was really looking forward to it.

"Aw can't you stay for a little while longer?" The shy Pegasus asked.

"Yeah you're both invited to the party!" Pinkie added cheerfully.

Suddenly there was a loud rumble, sounding akin to a monster. All eyes quickly fell onto the pair of Saiyans, where Goku was grinning sheepishly. "Heheh I guess it has been a while since I've last eaten. Say there's going to be food at this party right?"

"Of course silly, you can't have a party without food... well you could, but then everypony would be really hungry."

A smile came to Goku's face as he turned to face his son. "Well I guess we can stay for a little while longer."

Hearing that made Gohan light up. "Really?"

Upon seeing the older Saiyan nod everypony cheered, happy that their friend would be staying for the party.

It was weird though, because the only reason Gohan came back was to deal with Majin Buu. That's not to say that he wouldn't have come back on his own, it was just an odd circumstance. Despite all of the craziness, and horror, they were glad that it happened. Their friend was back, and from the sounds of it would be returning more often.

Everything really was back to normal...

"BUU!"

Everybody froze when they heard that name being called, and shortly after they caught sight of something horrifying. It was Majin Buu... except he looked different. For starters he was shorter, much shorter, and also a lot fatter. His clothes were pretty much the same, except now he was sporting yellow boots, yellow gloves, a short black vest, and a purple cape.

The Ponies started shaking upon seeing him, and Pinkie Pie looked on the verge of a breakdown. Her last encounter with Buu hadn't been pleasant, and she wasn't ready to deal with dying again. Sure being dead hadn't been that bad, but that didn't mean she wanted it to happen.

Majin Buu stood there, looking oddly cheerful.

Despite being face to face with their former enemy neither Saiyan was on guard.

"What are you two doing, go fight him!" Discord cried out.

"Dad are you feeling it too?"

"Yeah, but... it doesn't make sense."

Applejack scratched her head in confusion. "Would somepony mind tellin' me what's goin' on?"

"That's Buu alright, but we can't feel any evil energy in him at all." Gohan answered.

"What the hay does that mean?" Rainbow asked.

Goku spent a few more moments thinking about it, and then the realization struck him. "Oh I think I get it now. At one point Buu must have split, because this one was inside the Buu we were fighting earlier, just like you were Discord. So this must be the good Buu."

Majin Buu nodded before approaching the group, making the Ponies jump back a bit. "Yep! Buu all good!" He declared.

"And you're sure he won't hurt us?" Princess Celestia questioned while keeping a keen eye on Buu.

"I'd say we're in the clear." The half-Saiyan stated confidently.

Buu then caught sight of Pinkie Pie and started walking toward her, and he noticed her shying away. He stopped a few feet away from her and scratched his head in confusion. "Why pink Pony turn away from Buu?"

It took several moments for her to answer. "Because you hurt me!" She exclaimed as tears streamed down her face. "I tried to be your friend and cheer you up when you ran out of candy, and then you hurt my friends, blew up my home, and then you killed me!"

A frown came to Buu's face before he got down to her level. "Buu only do those things because Buu wasn't himself, but Buu is better now."

Pinkie still seemed hesitant.

He continued frowning before an idea came to his head. He grabbed a handful of rocks and aimed his head tentacle at them, and upon shooting a beam out of his horn he turned the rocks into candy. With the candy in hand he held it out in front of the Pony.

"F-for me?"

Buu smiled and nodded.

Slowly but surely Pinkie's face was lighting up, and a bright smile suddenly appeared. She then ate the pile of candy in one bite. "Mmmm, delicious!" She then threw herself at him.

In response Majin Buu laughed happily. "So Buu and Pinkie friends now?"

"Best friends!" Pinkie declared.

Seeing what was essentially the monster who caused so much trouble for Equestria hugging one of its residents was a little strange, but the Ponies were glad that their friend had made yet another friend.

"Now come on everypony, it's time to party!"

And that's the final chapter... wow, has it really almost been two years? It certainly doesn't seem like it, but I guess time flies so fast. When I made the first story I had never really thought about a sequel, or the story itself for that matter, which led to some... interesting chapters to say the least. Obviously that story has gone through many changes, and has drastically improved. This story hadn't needed any improvements, aside from minor edits here and there, so I guess that goes to show how much I've improved since then.

I'd like to thank all of you for your support, and I'm glad you have been enjoying it. I took some liberties here and there, but I'd say it worked out for the best. This story was a lot of fun to write because of that, and made it a more unique experience. Let's face it, if I followed the Buu saga beat for beat that wouldn't have been as fun. And as much as I love Vegito we don't need to see him in Equestria twice.

Now you're probably wondering, "FutureShock what the hell kind of ending is this?" and to that I say it isn't quite over yet. As you saw the story ended a little suddenly, and we didn't have Gohan and the Mane 6 explain all that happened to them. Well the story may be done but I have planned on releasing bonus chapters, mostly to tie up loose ends and just add some fun little scenes. Those will get released whenever I can write them, and there will probably only be a max of two but you never know.

That's all I have left to say, so thank you again so much and I'll see you in another story!
