Zer0: First, let me be the one to say: Happy 2019 everyone! Good year so far? Anything exciting? Hope so.

Bio:...So we finished Forsaken.

Zer0: Yeah…..that was…. (We would have finished this chapter sooner but everything started happening with Forsaken that we couldn't leave. Plus my other stories and new games like Darksiders 3 out, I had other stuff to do).

Bio: GODDAMMIT BUNGIE! WHY MUST YOU MANIPULATE OUR EMOTIONS?! I LOVED THE CAMPAIGN, BUT WHY?!

Zer0: Here's the Pros: Everything in Forsaken. The Cons:...Rest in Peace Space Cowboy…... Okay, all sad tears aside we are back at again with Attack of the Guardians.

Bio: Hopefully this can lift our spirits from the depressing atmosphere Forsaken has slammed into our lives.

Zer0: We have been grinding our asses from DLC, RPing as well. This DLC really was a fantastic DLC, one of THE best DLC in Destiny, if not THE best….until the next one somehow changes my mind.

Bio: Community: Forsaken is the best DLC Destiny's ever made.

Savathun: HOLD MY INFINITE TIME LOOP! I GOTTA SORT THEM BITCHES OUT!

Zer0: XD! All laughs aside we are still grinding Forsaken and just waiting for the right time...which at this rate, takes about as long as it does to get an Exotic drop in Forsaken.

Bio: I NEED THAT FUCKING CERBERUS+1! AND THE BLACK TALON!

Zer0: Yeah. Okay all that aside we don't want to make a big Author Note like the last chapter, so we'll do most of the talking at the end. So we'll just make responses and start the story off.

Review Responses:

TheDarkwolf95:

Zer0: Okay we agree that we made the intro to long and we apologize but…

Bio: I'm pretty sure they would've ran out of air if they tried talking up a storm with each other. Hell, they even acknowledge that in the actual episode when Ahsoka's trying to signal Anakin. Allow me to quote the episode from memory: (Because I'm a nerd who does nothing but spam prequel memes on Discord)

Barriss: I'd much rather have died up there than starved to death down here.

Ahsoka: Don't worry, we'll run out of air long before we starve.

Barriss: That's a comforting thought...thanks.

Bio: Does that sound like a potential bonding moment to you?

Zer0: BOI, HELL NO!

Jebest4781: Good chapter here man. Keep it up.

Zer0: Thanks, we will.

Josephguy217: Awesome chapter keep it up :)

Zer0: Thanks.

xXCoopyXx:: Yet been a while since this updated.

Zer0: Yeah, sorry been grinding ever since Forsaken came out. Not to mention I have other stories that I work on.

BraveSeeker3: Hey! You updated! :D Have you seen the new Forsaken trailer? The one for the Dreaming City? That was EPIC! Otherwise - so it seems like they're all stuck sharing Drake's inventory/Ghost? Is that what's happening here? I just hope none of them get seriously injured or dead, cos from what I understand only the Ghost their bonded to can instead heal/resurrect them. Ah, dammit - there was something else I wanted to say but I forgot. . . ~S3

Zer0: Yes, we have! Yes, we have seen that too!

Bio: Even better, we've BEEN there! Maybe you'll find us running around there in Destiny.

Zer0: Don't worry, things will be explained very soon. We promise. Well I hope you remember and we'll gladly answer.

Saberius Prime: Great chapter! Not much to say other then that! Can't wait for the next one!

Zer0: I feel like explaining what you liked would be great, but I am glad you enjoyed.

SPARTAN-626: Another chapter well done and again put a smile on my face.

Bio: Happiness isn't something one considers when writing a saga of fanfiction, but this...does put a smile on my face.

Zer0: I thought FanFiction was fun?

Bio: It ain't when you get writer's block.

CT7567Rules: really good story so far. any chance when we get to see Ahsoka, Barriss, or any other star wars girls in Lingerie in the future?

Bio:...You'll have to wait and see.

Axelg7684: Cayde-6 was like the Deadpool in the Destiny Universe he will be missed. (

Zer0:...Is Cayde like Deadpool? Because one is dead (RIP!) and the other isn't.

Bio: Pretty much. Roguish character, doesn't take things too seriously, cracks jokes any chance he gets? Yeah, I'd say so.

Specter343: Are you still looking for an antagonist? because I got one.

Zer0: Don't worry, we got some. However we will hear what you got.

Well, all that aside, let's start the story!

Disclaimer: We own absolutely nothing except our OCs and our love for both of these series, Star Wars belongs to Lucasfilm and Disney, whereas Destiny belongs to Bungie.

Chapter Eight: Legacy Of Terror

(Geonosis)

"It's…...strange." Drake started as he stood on a cliff side, his arms crossed as he and Lyle watched several Gunships fly by with wounded on board, their helmets keeping the sand out. The two stayed around to help Luminara and Obi Wan scour the region for Poggle the Lesser. After the destruction of the Geonosians Main Factory, most of the Republic forces were bought back to the Cruisers Infirmary. Ahsoka and Barriss along with them while Cole and Kara went to help the others move some equipment around. Suffice to say some of the Clones were very shocked to see a girl like Kara and someone like Cole who wasn't exactly a walking tank lift up tanks ten times bigger than them with ease.

"What's strange?" Lyle asked.

"As a Guardian, we never see soldiers other than a few in the Tower. Even then they never go out the City." Drake said before gesturing to some of the men being carried off into a gunship. "It's…..feels wrong, or at least it's different to what we deal with in terms of death since we can come back." Drake explained as he sighed. He wasn't a stranger to death, he was dead originally as was all Guardians were. Of course now that he thinks of it all three of his teammates had that problem too.

"I can see what you mean, we're...not exactly normal out here, what with our abilities." Lyle responded, his gaze looking around the field.

"And immortality from almost virtually anything." Ghost added from within Drake.

"It almost seems like the clones are expendable to the Republic." Drake said, rubbing the chin area of his helmet in deep thought. While he doesn't know much about the clones, they did only seem to have one purpose and that was simply war. "Maybe I am over analyzing this."

"A Titan over analyzing things? That sounds new." Lyle remarked. Drake looked at his friend with a raised eyebrow, but he felt like the Warlock was smirking. Honestly he will let this pass, Lyle smirking was a rarity and he wasn't going to ruin it with a comeback, so he'll keep quiet...for now.

"It does seem that way, doesn't it?" The two turned around, Ghost reappearing into the air, as Luminara walked up to them. "It was a hard won victory….but a costly one as well." Luminara said as she joined the two overlooking the cliffside as Troopers moved below them. "We suffered a great many losses in these battles. However I can say not as much as we would have for if it wasn't for you Guardians and your strategies, I fear the numbers would have been far worse."

"I just hope we made some difference." Drake said.

"More than you think, Titan."

"I assume we've yet to find Poggle, given that we're still here, unless one of you has a love for desert planets with locals seeking your death?" Lyle asked with dryness in his voice.

"Nothing, we have Clone Squadrons spread out all over the area but no hits yet." Luminara explained.

"Ghost?" Drake asked hoping the little friend could help out.

"I did a planetary scan but the place is packed with both living and machine, hard to find one bug in this big hive." Ghost said.

"I'll be heading out, hopefully find some clues as to where he went." Luminara said walking over to a speeder nearby. The two Guardians looked at each other and even though they couldn't see the others face they could tell the other agreed: That was a strange plan.

"Uh, Ms. Unduli no offense but I am sure the Troopers can handle one bug." Drake said.

"Usually when one hopes for something, that tends to get dashed by something terrible." Lyle remarked.

"Poggle has too much information about the Separatist to let him get away." Luminara stated, and the two could see she was not gonna let them stop her.

"...Very well, Ms. Unduli…..just be careful." Drake said, Luminara smirking before hopping on her speeder.

"Just make sure that someone leaves a bit of strategic planning for me when I come back, Guardians. I'd hate to feel left out." With that she left on her speeder, a clone joining her in the search for Poggle leaving the two in the dust. When all was quiet, Lyle looked at his friend like he was giving a strange look under the helmet.

"Only one trooper with her, she's clearly never seen a horror movie...or been to the Loot Cave." Lyle remarked, shaking his head.

"We agreed never to speak of that place again."

"Loot Cave?" Obi-Wan asked, not far from the two as he was helping a clone into a ship, hearing the two talk.

"A million deaths are not enough for Master Rahool." Was all Lyle said.

(Republic Cruiser)

"Where is Cole and Kara?" Drake asked as he and Lyle walked through the Cruiser to the main command deck. The two were going to meet up with Master Mundi on the command deck, their helmets now off from being inside.

"I believe from what I am hearing, your friends are now in a contest for who can lift the most equipment. They are impressing the clones more and more." The two turned to see Mundi walking up to them, his wounds healed from what the two learned from Ghost that they use Bacta Tank. "Guardian Drake, Guardian Lyle." The Master said with a bow.

"Master Mundi, you certainly look better than when I last saw you." Lyle noted, nodding his head in return.

"After enough time in a bacta tank, one longs for the mundane comfort of star charts." Mundi said as the three walked over to the window.

"Now that I can agree." Ghost muttered as he floated next to Drake as he started scanning the computers for info.

"It seems like it did you some good." Drake said. "Your wound looks almost healed."

"I wish I could say the same for most my men." Mundi said as the three stared at the large hole in the ground thanks to Drake's Arc slam.

"Well." The three turned to see Obi-Wan enter the room, joining the three. "Let's hope we don't have to take Geonosis a third time. Poggle's forces seem to have come from the Northern Hemisphere." Obi Wan explained as he gestured to the large hologram of the planet.

"And where was Master Unduli's last contact made from?" Mundi asked.

"Around this region." Lyle said, pointing out where they last spoke.

"That is farther to the west, nothing seems to be out there." Ghost explained as he floated above the hologram. "But….that is what we also thought with the Hive being on Earth being impossible."

"Still can't believe we've let them get that far." Lyle muttered.

"Hive?" Obi Wan asked looking at Drake.

"Another story for another time." The Titan answered as he stared at the map. "Hopefully she will find something."

BOOM!

The four felt the entire ship move a second, making the four keep their balance as the ship shook for a second before it stopped.

"What was that?" Mundi asked.

"HAHA! YES I WON!" The four heard a certain male voice yell over Ghost comm.

"FUCK!" Cursed a very familiar female voice.

"Goddammit." Drake groaned slapping his forehead.

"What did they do this time?" Lyle asked.

"...Cole lifted the ship. He won the contest." Ghost answered, leaving one question that Obi Wan and Mundi perfectly voiced in sync.

"What?!"

(Geonosian Regions)

Luminara stared through the binoculars, scouring the area below her with the trooper beside her. There didn't seem to be any sign or trail of Poggl-Wait. She zoomed into a narrow ridge not from from her. It seemed to be some sort of trail, with what seemed like something was moving through the area. She then saw something that was definitely not part of the region.

"There."

"Where?" The clone asked.

"150 klicks southeast." Luminara stated as she could already tell it was a lead to Poggle. They hopped back on their speeders and towards the object in the desert. Once they reach it, the inspect it and Luminara see it is some sort of munitions crate. She'll report this to the others as she pulled out her communicator. Once she reconnected she saw both Drake and Lyle along with Master Obi Wan and Kenobi.

"Unduli?" Drake asked seeing the sudden appearance of the Jedi Master.

"Find anything, Master Unduli?" Kenobi asked.

"I have indeed. It appears to be a munitions container of some kind." Luminara explained."

"It could just be debris." Mundi said. Luminara shows them the box with the trooper next to it.

"You consider a perfectly intact munitions crate debris?" Lyle asked.

"Not to mention there was no battle in this area." Luminara stated.

"It looks like Poggle was on a direct course, 11 mark 72 that way." The clone said pointing towards the other side of the valley.

"Headed directly to the Progate Temple." Luminara said, gaining curious looks from the Guardians.

"That makes no sense. Nothing in the temple could have survived the munitions we used in the first wave of our attack." Mundi said. "Why would he risk to go there?"

"I'm not yet sure. Perhaps he doesn't realize the extent to which we cleared that area." Luminara said, unsure as the other Masters.

"Or maybe there's something there only he knows about." Lyle suggested, gaining the others attention. "Something he's looking to secure."

"Master Luminara." Anakin, who had joined the other Masters and Guardians earlier, entered into the fray. "I'm tracking a sandstorm that's heading your way."

"No matter. Poggle is out in the open, and I intend to grab him before he can get offworld." Luminara said. She of course could already tell that everyone around the hologram was already against the idea.

"Again, you should probably be cautious about your next move, especially since we're not in the best position to help you if things go south." Lyle said.

"Then we'd have to find both you and Poggles." Obi Wan added.

"I feel it is a risk worth taking." Luminara said.

"As you wish." Mundi said, however she could see Drake was against the idea but before he could voice it she turned off her communicator, leaving the five alone.

"Forgive my bluntness, but that doesn't sound like a good idea just letting her run off on her own." Lyle said. "In other words: Are we seriously gonna let this happen?"

"The storm will mess with our radar and unless Luminara can find shelter she will be in the blind." Mundi said as he turned to Lyle. "So in short: Sadly yes."

(Later)

"THERE'S SAND IN MY BOOT!" Kara yelled from her comm, both she and Cole were in the hangers.

"Least I had the foresight to put my helmet back on before it hit us." Cole said, wiping some sand off of his knife sheath. As the two cleaned themselves in the hanger, Drake and Lyle simply sat in the main deck. Lyle stared at some star charts Mundi handed him, while Drake walked back and forth with his hands behind his back while Ghost…..was just sitting on one of the chairs scanning the computer.

"Will she be okay out there?" Drake asked looking over at Mundi and Obi Wan who were studying the hologram of the planet.

"She will be fine, Guardian. She is a Jedi Master, a storm will not stop one….especially Master Unduli." Mundi said, Drake nodded his head in understanding. Perhaps he was being paranoid, but he just didn't want to feel like he could have did something and they could have done it easier.

"You all realize she only went down there with one trooper, right?" Lyle asked. "Am I the only one who sees a problem here?"

"Nope." Ghost said floating up. "The way I see it we get the team and head out there."

"I must admit I am troubled that we've not heard from her." Obi Wan said.

"Let's not start worrying yet. Luminara is not one to take unnecessary risks." Mundi states, trying to calm everyone that had any worry in the room had.

"Again: One. Trooper. To an area that we have little knowledge of, where anything could be there." Lyle said. "Am I the only one seeing the obvious problem here?" He asked.

"Speaking of which, what is the temple?" Drake asked.

"During the first battle of Geonosis, when we fired from the sky. Many of the regions surface was destroyed, most of the Geonosians along with it. Some locations, like the Progate Temple, were one of those regions that we destroyed."

"Was it some sort of Church for them?" Drake asked.

"Possibly." Mundi said.

"How is it there are so many Geonosians, if you destroyed so many?" Ghost asked.

"They are bugs." Anakin answered. "They lay a lot of eggs." Lyle eyes narrowed at the answer, noticing what no one asked.

"Who is laying the eg-?"

"Master Kenobi, Master Mundi, Guardians." The sudden appearance of Luminara sparked relief for the group. "We tracked Poggle to the Progate Temple, but now there's no sign of him." That knowledge only furthered the sinking feeling Lyle was having.

"Go no further until we can send support." Kenobi ordered.

"We'll join you up once the storm dies down, Ms. Unduli." Drake said seeing the storm didn't seem to be dying anytime soon. "We can barely read your transmission as it is."

"Are you sure he went into the temple?" Mundi asked, perhaps it was a ruse to trick them. After all for all they knew Poggle had a trap laid out for them.

"Yes, we saw him enter, but I think he's gone down into the catacombs below." Luminara answered, looking around for any way in unaware that her trooper found an entrance in.

"Those Catacombs go on for miles. I fear we may have lost him. Get yourself out of there." Obi Wan ordered. Before Luminara could respond they all heard screaming and snarling in the background, Luminara activating her lightsaber.

"Master Unduli?" Kenobi asked before her hologram disappeared.

"Ms. Unduli?" Drake asked worried what has happened.

"We lost the connection." Mundi said.

"What did I tell you?!" Lyle asked, his helmet materializing as he began walking out of the room. "Come on, we've got a mess to clean up!"

"Where are you going? We'll never get to her in this storm." Obi Wan said, but before he could react Drake followed up with Lyle, his helmet on.

"A little sandstorm isn't going to stop me." Lyle said.

"We've been through worse, let's go. We'll wait for you at the temple if you want." Drake said as the two walked out and for once Anakin agreed with them. Once the two made it to the hanger, completely missing that Cole and Kara walked through the other door, the hanger opened up releasing the maelstrom that was the desert storm.

"Just like Mars." They both muttered. Drake pulled out Ghost and summoned their sparrows, speeding off through the storm and towards Luminara location.

(Later)

"We're back!" Kara said cheerfully as she and Cole walked into the main deck, cleaned of sand. However the moment they entered they notice that the room was almost empty, aside from a few clones. Drake, Lyle, and the Jedi were nowhere in sight. "Where is everyone?"

"Once the storm cleared, they left to find General Unduli." A clone answered from the computer.

"...WHAT?!"

(With Drake and Lyle)

By the time they made it to the temple the storm finally cleared, so the two jumped off their sparrows and looked around.

"These are definitely old, not as old as Hive architect, but definitely a few thousands years give or take." Ghost said as he started scanning the statues.

"Just as unsettling, that's for sure." Lyle said, before something crossed his eye. Bending to the ground, he picked up a familiar object. "This isn't a good sign." He called out to Drake, holding up Luminara's lightsaber.

"Definitely not good….. there was a struggle, almost like a surprise attack." Drake stated noticing that there was no blaster marks or scorched marks.

"Think I might know where they came from." Lyle said, pointing to an open hole in the ground. When the two looked down into it, it seemed to go into the darkness. "Not good at all." Before Drake could respond the sounds of a Gunship roared from above and the three turned to see one land not far from the gate. They watched as Kenobi and Skywalker walk towards them with a squad of Cody's troop.

"You two seemed to have a head start." Ankin quipped as the Jedi joined the two.

"Well seeing as how the storm wasn't that big of a deal but Luminara life on the line was, yeah it wasn't a hard choice to make." Drake said. "Poggle didn't do this."

"What makes you so sure?" One of the troops asked.

"Poggle, from what your Jedi tell me, isn't much of a fighter…...but maybe that is." Drake said looking up. The other followed and saw a creepy statue of the bugs, a crown on its head. Ghost floated up to the statue and started scanning it.

"Much like the Hive, indeed." Lyle remarked.

"That is one ugly bug." Cody remarked.

"I haven't seen one that looks like that before." Anakin said.

"I don't believe anyone has." Kenobi said. "It could be the Geonosian Queen."

"A queen? That sounds pleasant." Lyle said, his voice as dry as the sand around them.

"There some ancient text on the wall around the statue." Ghost said gaining everyone's attention. "Give me a second to translate it...done."

"That was quick." A clone commented.

"This is what it says: O'Mighty Queen. O'Mighty Karina the Great. Raise Our Ancients. Bow to the Deep."

"Karina, huh?" Drake asked. "That's one problem solved on who that is."

"The Deep?" Lyle asked. "Why does that sound familiar?" He asked.

"I'll look through some files from the Grimoire, maybe that has something." Ghost answered. If Lyle thought it sounded familiar it must be Earth related.

"Why bow to the Deep?" Anakin asked.

"It said 'Raise our Ancients'…...that doesn't sound good." Drake said, looking down into the tunnel that led into the catacombs. "Only one way to go." With that the Titan walked in first with Lyle behind him, followed by the rest.

"First it feels like Mars...now it feels like the Moon." Lyle said as he walked into the darkness. The Clones scanned the caverns, blasters raised and ready to fire at a moment's notice. The Jedi lightsabers lighted the area ahead while the Guardians, while not afraid of whatever was in here, reached for their weapons: Drake's Exotic Shotgun, The Invective, and Lyle's Exotic Fusion Rifle, Plan C.

"Anything Ghost?" Drake asked as he looked into one of the tunnels, but was met with darkness.

"My scanners are working perfectly fine, but I'm not picking anything up within this Hive." Ghost informed as he appeared from thin air and floated next to Drake.

"Anyone else see a problem here?" Lyle asked, his eyes darting around the various holes and corners littered near them.

"Well one, there is a dead end ahead." Ghost informed as he started scanning the rocks around them.

"It's quiet...too quiet." Obi-Wan responded.

"Exactly, we've got no idea what's hiding down here besides Geonosians. And with all these holes and tunnels...they could come at us from anywhere." Lyle said.

"Then why hasn't your Ghost droid picked any up?" Anakin asked walking forward.

"Droid?!"

"That does bring up a good question." Drake said as he looked at his Ghost. "Ghost have you tracked Luminara?"

"I can't get an exact reading, but I do know this will bring us further down." Ghost said floating down into a small opening into the ground. "Our best shot, I'll go first." With that Ghost flew into the tunnel, leaving everyone else on the other side. "Okay, all clear!"

"Great, of course it's small." Drake grumbled as he crouched down and crawled through the tunnel, his shoulder plates scraping the wall.

"I'm sure there'll be something big for you to destroy on the other side, my friend." Lyle remarked, following suit as soon as Drake made it to the other side. Soon everyone was on the other side, moving deeper into the caverns. However the constant beeping from Obi-Wan's belt, reaching for it Luminara appeared from Obi-Wan communication device.

"Master Kenobi! If you're following me, you must leave this place. Just get out. I repeat, fall ba-!" Luminara was cut off, a loud screech followed after before it shut off.

"She must be close by." Drake said as he ready his shotgun.

"So is whatever cut her off." Lyle added.

"We'll have to take our chances, come on." With that the group bolted down the tunnel, guns raised and lightsabers activated as they turned the corner. However as soon as they did Drake stopped in his tracks with the others following. Thanks to Ghost most of the corridor was lit up revealing what was ahead of them: Geonosians. Except these ones didn't seem right about these bugs: they were slow, shambling stiffly as if their limbs hadn't moved in ages, and their eyes were clear white with no sign of life in them.

"I don't like the looks of this." Obi-Wan said as the clones gathered in a firing line and opened fire. However Lyle pushed back and turned to see more appear behind them, firing his Fusion rifle and reducing them into arc energy.

"Coming out of every damn corner...just like the Moon, indeed!" He said. Anakin joined him as he cut one of the bugs arm off, however the bug ignored its missing limb. Lyle noticed from it's nose some sort of strange worm-like creature slithering out. With the front Drake fired a single shot and reduced one to nothing more but legs while Obi-Wan cut one in half.

"ARGH!" Drake and Kenobi saw two clones being pulled away into the tunnels below. However Drake shot a round into one's skull and pulled the clone out, while Obi-Wan pulled the other back with the Force.

"Back! Everyone back!" Kenobi ordered as more of the Geonosians appeared from the small tunnels all around them.

"Lyle!" Drake yelled pulling out a pulse grenade, the Warlock nodded as he reached for his Scatter grenade. Both Guardians tossed the grenades into the ceiling as the others made towards a small tunnel, the corridor was filled with arc and void light as the two Guardians rolled out of the tunnel and with the others. Both dusted themselves off as they joined the others.

"What were those things? We couldn't kill them." Anakin said, not once in his career has he seen such things like those.

"Those Geonosians." Everyone turned to Ghost as he appeared again. "It's no wonder I could get a scan on Luminara and not those things….they aren't alive."

"What?" Cody asked.

"My scanner picks up different frequencies. Those Geonosians are dead, as in not with us anymore." Ghost informed.

"And since they don't give off any life signs, we can't detect them." Lyle summarized.

"How do they come back?" Drake asked turning to the Jedi Master, seeing as he might know a reason.

"I've heard stories of Geonosian hive mind so powerful, so strong, that it can maintain its connection with its warriors even after they have died."

"And you think that's why we couldn't kill them, because they're-!"

"Already dead, yes." Obi-Wan answered Anakin.

"I don't know, a few rounds from us and they were put down. Even the Lightsabers stopped them from getting back up." Drake mentioned reloading the Invective.

"Yes...and I think the method for their continued functionality might be something more...natural." Lyle said. "When one of the Geonosians died, something slithered out of its nose...some kind of worm. Far as I've looked during my time here, the Geonosians we fought on the surface didn't have any of those things come out after we killed them."

"So this Hive Mind must be the only one as far as we know…..let's keep it that way." Drake said.

"Agreed, call for reinforcements." Obi-Wan ordered. Anakin reached for his communicator but the light was beeping red instead of green.

"There's no signal."

"We must be too deep underground." Obi-Wan said.

"Hopefully Cole and Kara notice how long we are gone." Ghost stated. "What could those two be doing? Their probably bored out of their minds."

(Republic Cruiser)

"Victory is mine again!" Cole exclaimed, shuffling all the credits on the table to himself after winning yet another game of Sabbac. The three clones groaned in defeat, while Kara meditated not far from them, headphones on as she also listened to some Earth tunes. From what he learned when he first joined the Clones who were playing, it worked a lot like poker and Blackjack, where you had to play a long game of risk and bluffs, and much like poker, he quickly got the hang of the game, and was soon trouncing everyone who entered the game, especially once they started betting money.

"Never bet against a Hunter, boys. Cause when it comes to gambling, we're the kings and queens of the game!" He said. Soon the clones left with other replacing them ready to win back all the credits.

(Geonosian Catacombs)

"You two," Kenobi started staring at two clones. "Head back to the surface."

"I don't believe that is such a good idea, General." Drake started, "Now is not the good time to split up."

"These creatures know this place better than us, your men might die before reaching the surface." Lyle said.

"Listen you two: The more we waste time babbling the more time Luminara is in danger, and we have no idea where we are. We'll need scouts to find us a way out, so until then be good soldiers and follow us." Anakin ordered as he walked away with everyone following him, the two clones walking in the opposite direction while the Guardians stood where they are. The two, while they didn't want to admit it, did understand where Anakin was coming from. However it was different since they didn't know where they are and that only two of them can come back when the worse come.

"Those two are gonna get killed, all because one can't see reason." Drake said as he turned to Lyle. "I can't believe I'm saying this but even Cayde's plans are better than this."

"All the same, they bring up a valid point with needing a way out, but as Cole likes to say, we'll cross that bridge when we get there...or blow it up, he tends to mix them up from time to time." Lyle said. As the two stood there they didn't notice Ghost floating away scanning some rocks. As he continued his frame bumped into a wall, looking up he was half expecting to see more Geonosians but what he saw surprised him…..and terrified him.

"Drake! Lyle! Look at this." The two Guardians turned to see Ghost near a large wall. As they made their ways towards the Ghost, and as they did they notice something on the wall. Thanks to Ghost light the wall was lit up to show….drawings to make sense of it. Drake has never seen this kind of drawing before, and yes it was most likely because they are on another planet far, far away from home, but he had heard of stuff almost like this from Ikora when she tried to teach the team about history…...key word 'try'.

"These markings...how is this possible? How is it here?" Lyle asked the question that was on their minds.

"What are they?" Drake asked.

"Hieroglyphs." Ghost answered. "While not exact during my time looking for a Guardian Drake I came across a desert region on Earth once called 'Egypt'. In these very old pyramid like temples I found these glyphs that record pre-Golden Age. They seem to record history, it looks like this was more than an Earth culture thing." Ghost said as they looked over at the art. What it was not only caught their attention, but it was what was on that shocked them.

"Is that?" Drake asked but had a feeling he knew the answer.

"Hive." Lyle answered. In the center of the wall was a large Hive: The body was wizard like with a crimson cloak wrapped around it. Two horns protruded from both sides of its head, and the green eyes glowed like the most Hive. In its hands was a green orb that seem to rain green liquid. Below the Hive were drawings of what appeared to be the Geonosians, their hands reaching out for the green rain. In the center was what appeared to be the Queen, drinking the liquid from the Hive. Below them showed Geonosians laying on the ground in rows, starting from laying down to standing up with green energy around them.

"Hive? Here?" Drake asked, shocked to see one of their worst enemies in another galaxy.

"This isn't good. Even if we haven't seen any signs of them, the fact this is here doesn't spell anything great for what's to come." Lyle said.

"Ghost, anything you can translate?" Drake asked.

"Give me a second." Ghost muttered as he started scanning some of the symbols. His body rotated a few times before he stared at the glyphs. "Okay I got it, now this is creepy: O'Mighty Protector, O'Mighty Lord of the Deep. Give us the Power to Rise once again, give our O'Great Queen Karina the Great. Drown us within the Deep, protect us from the Sky." Ghost translated.

"The same Queen from above, this Queen accepted gifts from this Hive God." Drake stated crossing his arms. "What is...the Sky?"

"...The Light, possibly?" Lyle suggested. "The Deep could be the Darkness for them."

"The Sky….it must be the Traveler." Drake said as he stared at the glyphs. "That still doesn't explain who this Hive is, what Hive God can raise the dead of another race?"

"I'll search the World's Grave for this." Ghost said as he started searching through the files.

"See if you can find anything about Hive messing with means to go to other galaxies as well beyond theirs and our own, because this sect somehow did so." Lyle said.

"I don't think so, the Hive have been around longer than we have. They must have came here some eons ago. Still doesn't explain why give gifts for another race other than their own." Drake said.

"AAAAHHHH!" Both turned to the sudden scream, gathering their things they bolted to the source. By the time they made it was to late as the others joined, both the clones they sent up were dead. Their armor was dented with teeth marks: signs of the dead Geonosians. The Guardians said nothing at first, until Lyle turned to Anakin.

"I told you we shouldn't have split up."

"Obviously this is a lot more powerful then we assumed." Anakin said holstering his saber. "I'm going to the surface to alert General Mundi myself."

"I think that would be a foolish idea, Skywalker." Drake said cutting Anakin off. "We don't have time to get back up, Luminara is in trouble and we need to hurry." With that Drake turned to Ghost. "Have you got a scan on Luminara?"

"I do, she is closer now. This way." Ghost led the way with the two Guardians following.

"I don't remember them being in charge." Anakin grumbled to Obi-Wan.

"At ease, Anakin." Obi-Wan said placing a hand on his former Padawan's shoulder. "You have to remember these two are from another Galaxy and have their own war. They are fully aware of what they are doing….plus they have a small droid to lead them into the right direction."

"DROID?!"

"Do you feel it?" Drake asked as they got deeper and deeper into the catacombs, completely ignoring his grumbling Ghost.

"The air grows thinner, and the world around us is feeling...darker with every step we take below." Lyle said.

"It smells down here, far worse than Tatooine." Anakin muttered coughing into his arm.

"Keep your voice down." Obi-Wan muttered.

"I'm just saying, this planet is rotten from the insid-!"

"Shh." Drake shushed the two as leaned against a wall, noticing light ahead and a lot of growling. Drake and Lyle sneaked forward and peeked around the corner, Obi-Wan and the others following and the sight they saw before them was quite a sight to say the least. A large room, a throne room for Geonosians it appeared, with pillars holding up the place. In the center were a dozen or so Geonosians all dead, but what they saw in the back made everyone cringe in disgust.

"That is one ugly bug." Cody remarked.

"If I were Cole, I'd wager a bet that we're looking at the queen." Lyle said.

"Karina the Great." Drake muttered as he look down and his eyes widen. "Luminara is below her….along with Poggle." Drake added seeing the older Geonosian...speak to the Queen in their tongue.

"More of their dead...and that worm I mentioned earlier, they all have one." Lyle said. "Has to be what's allowing them to stay alive."

"And we found the source." Ghost mentioned seeing the Queen lay an egg…..why did he feel like he was shivering, that is impossible.

"Great, we'll ambush them by all sides." Anakin started.

"Wait." Drake said stopping Anakin again, turning to Lyle after. "Lyle look up." Lyle looked up and notice something above Karina.

"Is that what I think it is?" Drake asked narrowing his eyes.

"More Hive architecture...this isn't good." Lyle muttered. From above Karina was a Hive Statue, resembling the one from the glyphs.

"Look in its hand." Ghost said. They looked and saw some sort of sphere in its hand, that is when they realized it was the same green orb the glyph Hive God had. However unlike the glyph this sphere aura was nearly dead, the only green light was the center. From the sphere green liquid dropped from the sphere, Karina opening her mouth and drinking the drop.

"What is she doing?" Anakin asked.

"Drinking from the gift of Monsters." Drake answered as he prepared his shotgun.

"Wait." Obi-Wan said stopping the two. "Aren't you the least bit curious."

"General…..you can't be serious." Drake groaned knowing what the Jedi wanted.

"Now is not the time for negotiations, Kenobi, least of all with people who've had signs of communing with the Hive." Lyle said with gritted teeth.

"Hive?" Anakin asked.

"Another story for another time." Ghost answered.

"Come now you two, don't you wonder why they took Luminara captive? Why not just kill her?" Kenobi asked.

"She's leverage. A Hostage, Obi-Wan." Anakin answered.

"Leverage for what? No, there's something else going on here, and these undead are connected to it." Kenobi said studying the Queen.

"Perhaps they wanted us to come here." Lyle said. "Whatever they want us for, we've walked right into it." Drake rolled his eyes and let out a deep sigh, he couldn't rub his eyes since they were blocked by his helm.

"Fine...fine, we'll try it the easy way. But the minute it gets bad, and it will, we are out." Drake said, holstering his shotgun, Lyle begrudgingly followed suit.

"So glad you agree." With that Kenobi walked out of the shadows with the Guardians behind him.

"Cody, we'll set up a perimeter around them. They live in darkness, the light from your helmets should blind them temporarily." Anakin ordered as Cody nodded and gestured for the others to follow. Drake and Lyle followed behind Kenobi as they now made their presence known, the Geonosians turning to them…..and it seemed like all of them were staring at him and Lyle.

"When it starts, NB this place and blow it sky high." Drake whispered as the three made it closer and closer to Karina.

"You say that as if I wasn't going to do it anyway." Lyle retorted. "...I don't like the way they're looking at us. Reminds me of the Hive."

"At least the Hive had some sort of sentient look in them, these are just….hollowed shells." Ghost muttered as he disappeared.

"I thought I told you not to follow me, Master Kenobi." Luminara groaned, before looking up to the two Guardians. "While I'm not surprised Drake didn't listen either-!"

"Hey."

"I am surprised you didn't listen to reason as well, Guardian Lyle."

"Perhaps he's rubbing off on me. Besides, you're one to talk, only going out with one trooper." Lyle retorted dryly.

"It seems we all have those days of not listening to reason." Luminara quipped before all were silenced by the Queen's snarl. Once the Queen stopped she took one of the dead like fingers and pointed at the three.

"You….you…." The Queen seemed to not be able to speak so Obi-Wan, being the nice guy he is, introduced himself.

"Your majesty, it is a pleasure to fi-!"

"Hold….the Power of…..the Sky!" She snarled as the Geonosians snarled at Drake and Lyle. The Jedi were surprised that the Geonosians somehow recognized the Guardians...but how? Now Anakin suspicions about the four lying seemed almost true…..almost.

"Knew this would go south." Lyle muttered. "We saw numerous references of that. Only question I have is how you all met the creatures of the Deep and why you'd be foolish enough to worship them." He stated.

"You refer…..to the Lord of the Deep! You….speak of evil…..but he offered us…..salvation…." Karina hissed as she opened her mouth and took another drop into her mouth.

"Who is this Hive God? And why did he offer you this power to raise the dead?" Drake asked as now the Guardians stood back to back with more dead Geonosians surrounding them but not attacking.

"His…...name, not known…..but goes by titles: Lord…..of the Deep, The….Forgotten One.….King of the Thousands…...Our God." Karina said. "He warned us…...that the Sky would…..come. Offer gifts….but it only brought…...Death." The Queen hissed. "He gave us the greatest gift….Immortality…..The Sphere of Eden." She gestured to sphere above. "Eons ago…..he gave us this Sphere….with its drops…..we were immortal…...free…...Perfection…...Until it was no more…...but drops." Karina said as she took another drop. "Once there was enough for all…..now only for me…...and through me…..my warriors are reborn….over and over again." Karina said as she gestured to the end of her egg sac, another egg being laid.

"Gross." Both Guardians muttered.

"But why keep the Jedi? Why have all these eggs and so little to give?" Obi-Wan asked looking around. While there was over a dozen drones there twice that many eggs, clearly not meant for these few.

"The eggs….are the only….way I can control my drones….so long since they…..have had sentience…..but not only them….but to control all in the galaxy….or at least those….that are loyal….to the Lord…" Karina growled as Poggle reached for a recently hatched egg.

"Let me guess: Those that aren't loyal will die." Lyle said.

"Yes….but not by us…..by the Lord of the Deep…...He will return…..he will burn this universe…...and bathe those that are loyal…..in the Green Sea of Paradise…..And those that follow only me! Karina the Great!" Karina screeched to the heavens. "Watch as your Jedi friend…...becomes mine…..once inside….her mind becomes one…..and she sees….the Lord of the Deep." She finished as Poggle walked over to Luminara with an egg in hand.

"Alright….thanks Karina." Drake said surprising Luminara and even Karina.

"For...what?"

"For the answers." With that Drake pulled out the Invective and fired several rounds and killed half of the Geonosians. Lyle dashed towards Luminara and pulled her out of her suspension, pulling her back with the others and then he wrapped his hand around Poggle neck. Lyle notice the worm from Poggle on his arm, thinking fast he grabbed the worm and threw to the ground smashing it with his boot.

"No! We should have studied it!" Kenobi said.

"It's small, it's capable of controlling the dead, and it's about to die very soon! We have all we need to know!"

"Hang on Luminara." Before Luminara could protest, Drake picked up and swing over his shoulder. He grabbed Poggle by the neck and did the same over his other shoulder as he bolted past the others.

"NO!" Lyle turned around to see Karina hiss at him. "You….cannot deny….the Lord…...he will come…..and burn everything you love!" Karina hissed before she narrowed her eyes….before her eyes widen as she stared at Lyle. The Warlock was quite surprised when she started chuckling.

"Or perhaps…..you will join…...the Lord of the Deep…." Lyle raised an eyebrow at this, but shrugged it off as he backed away until he was near the exit, Obi-Wan standing next to him. The Jedi notice purple light within Lyle hand and instantly knew that was the sign to bolt.

"I'm flattered. Here's my COUNTEROFFER!" With a thrust of his hand, a Nova Bomb flew loose toward the Queen. Karina roared in agony as the power of a Star reduced her to atoms, and the force caused the entire catacomb to shake...unaware that it was felt across the planet. The catacombs started collapsing, a clear signal to get the hell out of there! Lyle started running and catching up to the others, seeing some dead Geonosians crawl out of the holes and slowly chasing after them.

"How do we get out?" Anakin asked as they kept running, the wall crumbling behind them. Drake led the group until they found a source to escape, the large hole that led back to the top of the temple.

"This way!" Drake exclaimed as he boosted up and used his feet to push himself back up. Everyone followed suit with Lyle behind to make sure none followed them, shooting every Geonosian in sight. Drake headbutted the lid and sent it flying and pulled himself out with everyone else following. They ran out of the temple as it crumbled and became nothing but rubble.

"That…..went better than I expected." Anakin quipped as Lyle dusted himself off.

"I wish we could have gotten one of those worms." Kenobi grumbled. While he understood it was dangerous, it wasn't bad to study them and understand them a lot more.

"I think it is safe to say it is better they are dead." Drake said putting Poggle down and handing him to the clones. "The last thing I need to deal with is undead Geonosians."

"Perhaps we should return to base. I feel that Kara and Cole may have gotten to many bouts of mischief while we were gone." Lyle suggested.

"Right." With that Drake prepared to head off into the Gunship...forgetting one thing.

"Drake."

"Yeah?"

"Put me down." Drake eyes widen, completely forgetting he had Luminara on his shoulder. He pulled her off and set her down, dusting her off before regaining his posture.

"Sorry." He muttered rubbing his arm. Luminara raised an eyebrow before simply dusting herself off and walking towards the gunship. Drake rubbed his head mumbling about messing up while the others but Lyle followed, the Warlock staring at the temple. His mind wandered back to what Karina said, why would she think he could join the Lord of the Deep? It was most likely a ploy to get him riled up, to trick him, it was the most logical answer.

"Come on Lyle!" Lyle looked at the temple one last time before joining his comrade within the gunship.

"Imagine how upset Cole and Kara will be when they realize we actually took on zombies and they didn't."

(Republic Cruiser)

"Man, whatever Drake and Lyle are doing, they're gonna hate us for bleeding these guys dry of their money and not including them in it!" Cole said, having beaten EVERY member of the Cruiser's staff at Sabacc, and surprisingly, even General Mundi had come down to play at one point, and put up more of a challenge for Cole than the troops, but in the end, Cole still prevailed, proving that he was the King of Sabacc.

"WHOO!" Kara cheered throwing the money in the air and back into the bag. "THIS IS AWESOME! Nothing can ruin this moment!"

(Geonosian Catacombs)

Within what remains of the Throne Room of Karina the Great, near the end where Karina once stood was now nothing but crushed rocks. Karina the Great ashes were scattered among the rocks, and in the corner was the stature of the Lord of the Deep. The sphere in its hand was cracked, several running across the globe as the liquid poured from it.

CRACK!

Soon more cracks appeared before the orb shattered into several tiny pieces of glass shards. From the sphere a large cloud of gas appeared rising and seeping through the rocks, until it moved like a serpent looking for its prey.

"HAHAHA!."

Zer0: AND….We're done.

Bio: That took us a while.

Zer0: We were busy…..with a lot of things (Look above for why, folks).

Bio: When you've got time to play Destiny 2 all week before you gotta get back to school thoughts, you tend to prioritize that over working on stuff like this. And the days we tried to finish this beforehand...circumstances would keep us from arriving to do it.

Zer0: Well it doesn't matter anymore, we're gonna try and get back on schedule (Unless we want to focus on other stories), and get this story going. Only one more chapter for Geonosis and we will be into the Felucia story point.

Bio: Though with the assortment of games coming out in the coming weeks and months, like Anthem, Devil May Cry 5, Mortal Kombat 11, as well as the other parts of the D2 Annual Pass...we can't promise a solid release schedule.

Zer0: We're gonna try and get on it the week after next week. So most likely two week schedule, or one….most those. Until then we hope you enjoy this chapter: We also apologize if it seems short….we make them as long as the episodes and add a few stuff. What do you want? Ten thousand words? That's for finales and shit.

Bio: Regardless, we'll see you guys in the next chapter of Book 1: Attack of the Guardians: aka, Pls Nerf These OP BOIS AND GIRL.

Zer0: Despite the Grimoire stating The Nova Bomb hits with the force of a star. Anyways a lot of new things come into play, and the Galaxy is only gonna get bigger. Until then, enjoy our stories and come check out one of my recently updated stories: A Devil's Justice, a DMC/DCAU story of my OC Ragna Redgrave.
