Tris

"You know what!" My mother screams! "Get your ass out of this house and never come back!"

I look at her with tears welling in my eyes. I bring my arm up and hastily rub at my eyes hoping, just hoping that this is all a dream. A really, really bad dream. I drop my arm and see my mother still standing in front of me with her arms crossed, her face flushed with anger.

"Tris! Get out!" She spits.

I wince at her words allowing tears to spill out of my eyes and run up to my bedroom. I grab the biggest bag I can find and start dashing around my room packing as much as my stuff as possible. When most of my needed belongings are in my bag, I sink onto my knees and scream. I scream until my throat is raw. I scream until it is all I can do. I scream until I see my mother standing at my door glaring at me. I grab my heavy bag and walk with my head down out of my bedroom door, down the stairs, and to the front door.

I reach out with a shaky hand and grasp the cold, metal doorknob and stand there. I mentally scream at myself to open the door. But, I just can't. If I step out the doorway, I loose everything. I loose my parents, my brother, my car, the shelter of my house. I grip the doorknob tighter and exhale the breath I didn't realize I'd been holding. I can do it, I can do it, I CAN DO IT! I twist the doorknob and leave my house, not daring to look back.

Authors Note:

I know that this is the shortest chapter ever written

but I just wanted to see if this story is worth

continuing. I will continue it if I get 3 comments.
