A.N: Gift-fic for Liza (NeonDomino). This is AU!Sirius/Remus alive, and they have co-raised little Teddy together. Hope you like it, Liza! Merry Christmas from Phoebe & Sophie :)

"How has September the first rolled around so soon?" Remus asked Sirius, sadly. His son, who he had raised with Sirius, had just dashed through the brick wall that led onto Platform nine-and-three-quarters, and the pair had followed him, a little tentatively. "It's been a while since we stepped onto this platform, eh, Padfoot? Teddy! Come over hereā€¦"

Sirius looked over at his life partner, smiling. Remus was, without a doubt, showing signs of age - his eyes and lips crinkled in the corners, and the strains of raising a skittish young boy were showing. "You need to calm down, Remus - he's going to be a man, soon."

"It just doesn't seem like two minutes since he was crawling around on all fours."

"And before you know it, Teddy will be Slytherin in someone's Hufflepuff," Sirius said, winking at Remus, who punched Sirius in the arm. "Okay, maybe a bit of Summer Cabbage?"

"You're an awful role model," Remus sneered, shrugging off Sirius' euphemisms.

Sirius leaned in and kissed him on the cheek. "Yet you love me anyways," he purred, winding an arm around Remus' waist.

"Ew! Guys stop it! Do you have to, we're in public!" hissed Teddy suddenly - Remus and Sirius looked up, they hadn't noticed that he had ventured back towards them. His hair was beginning to flame red at the roots, presumably from embarrassment.

"Calm down, Teddy - the other kids will make fun of you, if your hair starts glowing every time you get frustrated," Remus told his son, reaching out to playfully ruffle his hair. Teddy ducked, scowling.

"Dad! Please! Everyone's looking!"

"Oh, come on, Ted," Sirius crouched down beside Teddy, and spoke in a low voice. "Don't worry about the other kids - hey, do you remember that jinx that I showed you? You can use it on old McGonagall's office door," Sirius leaned back up, giving Teddy a playful wink.

"You showed him what?" Remus raised his eyebrows, turning his attention on Sirius.

"Oh, look - there's the train! Gotta go, Dad, bye, Sirius-" Teddy reached up and pecked his father and Sirius on their cheeks, and then ran towards the open carriage doors, his hair was already starting to cool down to it's usual aqua colour. Sirius reached out and wrapped his arm around Remus again, as they waved their son into his new life.

"Come on, Moony. Let's go for a Butterbeer."

Remus let Sirius lead him off the platform. "I haven't forgotten about that jinx, Padfoot."
