Kate had no idea where they were heading. At first she thought they were heading back into the city. But soon enough she realised just where they were going.

"Dads cabin." Kate softly said.

"What?" Kassie asked as she continued to drive.

"Thats where we're heading right? The cabin. You're taking the back way, but I know thats where we're going."

"Yeah, shes been staying there with dad since shes been back, packed up the apartment and headed straight out here." Kassie explained. Kate looked to the back seat and saw that Rick was out like a light.

"Hows she been?"

"Shes holding up, but I can tell that shes soon reaching the point where shes gonna just give up. God, seeing her like this makes me wanna take all the pain away from her. She cries and cries until she has no more. Dad and I just stay up all night, one of us always has to be with her." Kassie takes a breath before continuing, "She constantly asks for you, but they always say no, and it breaks her heart over and over again everytime they say no. I just wonder what kind idiots the FBI employ. It breaks my heart when she asks for you, as for dad, everything she does just reminds him more of mom, thats what breaks his heart. He cries as well you know, regrets everything, turning to the bottle, spiralling outta control, but most inportantly, losing us." Kassie told Kate, but she didn't know how to respond she had tears streaming down her face.

The rest of the ride there was silent. Over half an hour later they had finally arrived. The car pulled to a stop and Kate quickly shook Castle awake, "We're here Rick." She said before hopping out.

Kassie led the way and unlocked the door.

"I'm back, with guests!" She waited for a response, "Dad! Gracie! Where are you guys?" She called out, she waited again for a response but still nothing. "Hold on, ones probably having a shower and the others probably asleep, again." Kassie said rolling her eyes.

"God those two could sleep through a storm." Kate commented.

"Name one time they haven't."

"Very true, tushe."

Kassie walked towards the hallways while Rick and Kate got comfy. As Kate walked to the kitchen she heard a scream come from the hallway. She dashed to where she heard the screams. She saw Kassie hunched over and moved closer. It was their dad.

"Dad, daddy! Dad wake up!" Kassie screamed. Kate ran towards them, and checked for a pulse. She was relieved that he still had a strong pulse.

"His pulse is there, hes just unconsious." Kate checked for any injuries and saw blood coming from his head. "Kas, call an ambulance, try and wake him. This wasn't an accident. Stay with dad and I'll look for Gracie."

"Come on Rick. We gotta look for Gracie."

"Katie! Wait!" Kassie called out, "Give this to Gracie when you find her, she has almost thirty minutes left until her body runs out of insulin, inject it to her lower abdomen, the last time she would've had insulin would've been this morning before her and Dads tramp out in the woods. Make sure theres no injuries to her abdomen, if there is, inject it anywhere where shes slim, avoid any muscles, inject it at a fourty-five degree angle, after its been injected hold the syringe in for ten seconds." Kassie rumaged through the First Aid Kit and pulled out a syringe with a clear fluid, before they headed off.

"Okay, abdomen or somewhere with fat, avoid muscles, fourty-five degree angle, leave in for ten seconds and inject in slowly, got it. Now I need you to go back to Dad, try and wake him, if not just make sure his pulse is still there, okay? I'll find her don't worry. Speed dial number four, ask for Ryan or Espo, then tell them to get here with backup."

They checked all the rooms and found no sign of Gracie. They checked outside. No sign.

From a distance Rick saw a black towncar, hidden within the trees. He could see the car was unoccupied. "Kate!" He called out.

"What is it?"

"Over there, whose car?"

"Thats not dads, nor Sophias old one. It must be theirs. They must still be here. Come on, we gotta go into the forrest. Making their way carefully and quickly they began calling out Gracies name.

"Gracie! Gracie! Gracie!" Kate called out.

"Gracie! Gracie! Gracie!" Rick called out at the same time. He began moving more quickly, "Gracie! Gracie! Grac-" he ended up tripping over the root of a tree and falling into the dirt.

"Ouch." Rick groaned.

"Rick, babe are you okay?" Kate yelled as she ran over. Rick opened his eyes, and right infront of him he saw a cap. New York Yankees. "Yeah, I'm good." He said picking himself up, as well as the cap.

"Is this Gracies?" He asked, as he handed the cap over to Kate.

"Oh god, Castle. This is hers. Her first Yankees game when she was just six months. We all went along, and all chipped in money to buy this for her. A gift from all of us. Sure it didn't fit, but shes definetly grew into it." Kate was so happy talking about it. But at that moment she remembered she was on a mission to look for her baby sister. "Come on, lets keep going."

"Gracie! Gracie! Gracie!" Kate and Castle continued calling out. They saw another item that belong to Gracie, it was a locket. Kate reconigised it from anywhere and she knew Gracie would never take it off, it was their mothers and she took such good care of it, it was like her life depended on that one locket sometimes. She ran her fingers over the locket. In an elegant font the For Mommy was engraved in the golden locket. She opened it and the pictures were all the same, never had she ever changed. The three girls had gotten it for their mothers last mothers day. As for Kassie, she had gotten their mothers charm bracelet, it consisted of an elephant for their mothers favourite animal, an infinity sign to symbolise their mothers love for their father and her love for her daughters, a motorcycle to symbolise Kates rebellious personality, a bow to symbolise Kassies girly girl personality, and a pacifier to symbolise Johannas baby girl. Kate closed up the locket and saw the back of the locket had blood on it.

"We gotta keep going." Kate said. "Gracie! Gracie! Gracie!" She yelled, "Come on, come give me something else Gracie, just one more. Please." Kate said under her breath. Kate picked up her pace and began moving faster.

"Kate! Stop!"

"What is it Rick?"

"Theres blood on here." He said pointing to the bush which had a heap amount of blood on it.

"Oh god Rick." She looked at the bush and just continued staring. "Shes running. I thought they had her and were running from us." Come on, be sure to ring Espo and Ryan." Kate said.

Rick pulled out his phone, "Can't get a signal." Rick simply said.

"Looks like this just us, come on we gotta keep moving, stay behing Castle." Kate said in reply. They began moving quickly and much more quietly, if the guys who were after Gracie heard them then they were bound to start shooting at them. Kate began pondering. Think Kate, think. You guys know this place better than anyone. Where would she run? "Stop." Kate said, as she stood still.

"What? Kate we gotta keep going."

"No, we gotta go this way. Shes changed directions."

"How do you know?"

"One, shes my sister, and two, whenever she came out here to the cabins, I would show her everything around here. Theres a shed where I used to keep my bike. Not far from where we are, shes probably there now, trying to look for the keys of my bike. We're changing routes Castle." They ran as fast as they could, and Kate could see the shed in sight. As they began approaching, they heard a high pitched scream.

"Get off me! Let me go!" She screamed, another high pitched scream rang out. Kate could hear her little sister scream some more, and she heard her sobs and a cry for help. "Mommy," She heard Gracie call out, "I need you Mommy."

A sharp pain shot through her abdomen as they pushed her up into a chair found in the corner of the shed. They wrapped some old rope around her and secured it tight so she had no way out.

"Now tell me, whats a little girly like you doing hiding away from us, huh?"

"My sisters coming after you, shes not stopping until you're all down in the ground."

"Oh hush. You should probably keep your mouth shut cos by the timd your bitch ass cop of sister gets wind of this, I'll be done draining the life outta you." Louie said. Antonio, the other guy came over after hanging up the phone, and place the briefcase on the ground in front of the young girl.

"Boss wants it to be slow and painful, wants her to feel the pain." Antonio said, "Good to see your pretty face again, baby girl." He said in his classic New York accent.

"My sisters coming after you scumbags! Shes not gonna stop til shes either got you guys behind bars or in the ground. Both of you, as well as Maddox."

"Haven't changed one little bit have you little girl. Thought you would've learnt from the first encounter we had, too bad this is gonna be your last encounter with anyone here on earth." Louie said as he pulled out the taser from the brief case and took it to her lower abdomen. The electric shock ran through her body. She let out a grunt and felt her body ache. Her breathing quickened and she felt herself beginning to hyperventelate but remembered what Kate had taught her, and soon enough her breathing went back to normal. Right now her eyes were shut tight. Dear God, please tell me Katies coming for me.

While her eyes were shut, she felt another shock travelled through her body.

"Uh uh uh, now now, don't go falling asleep on us. I wanna see those beautiful hazel green eyes of yours."

Gracies POV

After a few minutes I started giving up the urge to try and escape as well as fight back. The last time I had something to eat was about four hours ago, but the time I had an insulin injection was earlier this morning before Dad and I went out for a tramp. I was well overdue for my next injection. My body ached and I felt the taser make contact with my body, I just wanted it to stop. The next thing I realise is a the smell of something burning, I see Louie walking over with a hot pipe. I see him hold the pipe up and I feel Antonio roll my left sleeve up with one hand and I feel his other hand pushing my hair to the side.

"What do you say Toni, neck or the arms first?" Louie asks him as he toys with the pipe.

"Why don't we give her the best of both worlds at the same time?" He suggests, "Isn't there another pipe in the case Louie."

"Great minds think a like Toni, already warmed yours uo for you." Louie says, as he hands Antonio the pipe. The next thing I know a blindfold is being placed over my eyes.

Third Person POV

"Okay so theres two of them in there, I say we catch them off guard and then we'll be good to go." Kate suggests. "Remember what I taught you Rick. One wrong move and all hell could break loose and I am losing my sister too. We only got one chance."

"Yeah I got it. Lets get her back." Rick said as Kate handed him her backup gun.

"Okay, so theres a back door to the shed as well you'll go through there and I'll take the fron-" Kate was cut off by an ear piercing scream one that was much more louder than the others.

"Katie! Katie! Katie!" Gracie squeals. Her sobs can be heard. She lets out another scream. "Please stop! Stop!" She yells, before another scream is heard.

Rick and Kate run into position. Kate can see the through the crack in the door. They're both crowding Gracie, shes defenceless, a blindfold cover over her eyes. Kate can't stand it any longer, she busts down the door and announces herself.

"NYPD! Drop your weapons!"

"Well, looky here if it isn't your cop of a sister. What? No backup?" Antonio asks, but at that moment Rick kicks the back door in.

"Oh don't worry shes got backup." Rick says.

Antonio turns back around to face Gracie and pulls then blindfold off the young girl. "Well looky here Gigi, we got some more dollies to play with now. The more the merrier, right?" Antonio says as he rests his chin against the girls shoulder. She tries to shrug him off, and Kate cringes at the sight, repositioning his gun into his direction. "Oh now, dear Katherine, there is no way you would her your baby sister, would you?"

"Step away from her! Now!" She demands but he just moves his head closer to the young girls. Gracie is struggling to get some distance from the man but he keeps pulling her back to him. "I said step away!" Kate yelled, her eyes fixated on the one perp. With Castle keeping the other one under control.

Theres tears streamming down Gracies face and its breaking Kates heart seeing her baby sister like this. Kate saw that in one hand Antonio had the burning pipe and in the other he had the taser. He dropped the hot pipe and wrapped his now free hand around Gracies neck.

"Uh uh uh Detective. The slightest move and then its night night for baby Gracie over here." He said while stroking her hair. Gracie whimpered as he came into contact with her again.

Kate could see that her baby sister was slowly having the life drained out of her, and then she remembered, she had to get the insulin injected into Gracies system.

Kate reached to her jacket pocket and grabbed out the syringe, without Antonio noticing a thing.

"Toni, shes moving!" Louie called out. Antonio looked up, and saw the needle in her hand.

"Look, I just need to inject this into her. She needs it right about now." Kate said.

"Katie." She heard Gracie whisper. Kate looked over to her sister and saw her nose bleeding, sweat was dripping from her forehead, eyes bloodshock, her olive tan skin now going pale.

"I know sweetie, just a little longer, okay you gotta hold on." Kate said.

"Isn't this something sweet Louie? Small family get together before the tragic ending of a young soul. Isn't that right Gigi?" Antonio said while playing with Gracies chestnut brown hair.

She can she Gracies lips moving but she can barely hear a word, the young girls eyes are now closed, but lips still moving. She breaths a sigh of relief as she knows her sisters just saying a little prayer.

Kate creeped closer to Antonio and Gracie while he was busy focusing on her baby sisters features. She was disgusted by him, touching her sister, stroking her hair and face.

Ricks eyes were fixated on Louie, his arm was starting to hurt from having to hold the gun up for so long. He stepped closer to Louie, as all he had was a pipe in his hands.

"Same goes for you, writerboy. One more step and shes gone." Antonio called out as he saw Rick walking closer to Louie. "One more step and shes fried."

Rick stopped walking forwards but remained with his arm extended and gun at the ready.

Antonio had his eyes back on Gracie now, while Rick and Louie were busy having a staring competition. Now was Kates chance. She began slowly moving so she had a clear shot of Antonio, and before she knew it she had now circled the shed and she was standing right behind Antonio. She placed the gun to the back of his head with her finger at the ready.

"Hands up!" Kate shouted at him. He flinched at the sound of her voice and dropped the taser.

His hand flew straight up into the air, and a gunshot and a loud cry rang through the now silent shed. She looked around for where the sound had come from. She looked over at Rick and saw both him and Louie on the ground, a pool of blood was seen, and Rick stood, thankfully he was unharmed. Louies blood was on his hands, literally. It looked as if Louie had been shot right in the chest. Rick checked for a pulse. "Hes gone." Rick simply said.

"Once the boss gets wind of this, all of you are dead meat." Antonio shouted out.

"Put a sock in it!" Kate shouted before pushing him down in the corner. She turned and saw Rick already untying Gracie.

"Kate, the insulin!" Rick called out as went to untie Gracies arms from the wooden chair. Kate ran over, pulling the syringe back out of her pocket again.

"Castle lift her shirt for me." Kate told him while she prepared the syringe. As he lifted her shirt he gasped at the marks the taser had made.

"I don't think we can inject it here." Rick pointed out.

"Why not- Oh god." Kate gasped. They laid her down so she was elevated. "Okay Gracie, this is gonna hurt okay. But this gonna help you sweetie."

"Mommy?" Gracie whispher, "Mommy, its okay. Katies coming for us." Kate heard her say. Thats when Kate knew she needed to so something. "Okay, one avoid muscle, check. Two, fourty-five degree angle," she said as she set the needle in place, "Three, inject slowly." She said as she slowly injected the fluid, "Now hold for ten." Kate said and her head she counted to ten. Once to ten she pulled the syringe out and pulled Gracies shirt down.

"Gracie, can you hear me?" Kate asked.

"NYPD!" Kate heard, and there were people rushing through the door into the shed.

"Kate, you go, get her to the hospital. We'll finish up here." Ryan said running in last.

"Come on I'll carry her." Rick said.

"Okay, lets get going." Kate said as Rick picked up Gracie. They raced out the door, but Kate stopped in her tracks and walked to the corner where she left Antonio. "You better pray that she makes. You do not know what I'm capable of." Kate threated before running back off.

They had finally made it out of the forrest and they headed straight to Kassies car where the keys were still in the ignition. Castle placed Gracie in the backseat and Kate climbed in the back with her.

"You're gonna make it sissy, you're gonna make it baby sissy. Just hold on." Kate whispered to her sister, before pressing a kiss to her sister forehead. She took her index finger and ran it down the girls forehead, down to her nose, then over her lips and then finally down to her chin. Just like their mother would.
