Snowflakes of different shapes and sizes slowly drifted down from the dark grey and gloomy sky. Jack Frost, a tall white haired teenage boy wearing a blue tunic and white leggings trudged up the street, floating an inch above the ground. Loud shouts of excitement and anger, mindless chatter, animals making chaos and cars beeping. The busy city was bustling with people, all of whom passed through Jack without a care. A small tear made its way down his frozen face, once it reached his pale cheek it froze into ice, falling swiftly to the ground before shattering into a hundred pieces. Jack gripped his hair in frustration as yet another pedestrian walked through him. He sunk to the ground, his back against the wall of a grocery store. Jack smirked mockingly. "At least the wall believes in me" as more icy tears fell to the ground.

It was the cold hard truth that no one believed in Jack Frost. He had gone from a household name to a saying that no one truly knew the meaning of. He was inconsequential in the big scheme of things, no one knew who he was or could even see him, He didn't matter.

Jack wandered aimlessly around the streets of Surrey, his staff scrapping along the sidewalk leaving an icy trail behind him. To be truthful the streets of Surrey irked the eternal teen. The houses, all the same down to the placement of their agapanthus. It was half nine on a cold winters night so everyone was asleep and tucked in their beds, not that it made much difference to Jack, he wasn't seen either way.

"CREEEAK"

Jack looked up in shock, the door of the house he was standing in front of had suddenly opened. A small petite pale hand stuck out from the crack of the door and quietly pulled the rest of her proportioned body out of the house. She was an intriguing creature, unlike any he had ever seen before.

The small girl ran out to the small patch of lawn out the front of her house and blinked up at the starry night sky. Her wide emerald eyes twinkled with excitement and something akin to magic as she saw small snowflakes beginning to fall. She giggled and ran around trying to catch them in her small fists. She spun around quickly at the sound of a deep male laugh. She looked up to see a tall teenager with white hair and bright sapphire eyes that stood out in the darkness of the night. She shot him a small smile and whispered "Thanks Jack" before running off to play in a fresh pile of snow, ignoring the astonished teen behind her with a grin a mile wide.
