Sorry this took so long guys, I've been busy with school and stuff.
Brittany looks at the door then back at you. You watch her face as she thinks. She looks tired.
"I never been good at saying sorry." She say you smile faintly and open the door.
"Just do it like we practiced." She sighs and walks in. Sam is asleep curled into Puck who is watching the tv.
"Puck I just wanted to tell you sorry about how I spoke to you." He looks at her and smiles.
"I'm also sorry. I was just mad that Sam was hurt." He says and said boy shifts in his sleep. You grab Brittany's hand.
"Brittany and I are gonna go. Do you need anything Puck?" He shakes his head and you two walk out. She yawns and stretches.
"It's almost four in the morning." You nod.
"I know I have to go to work soon." You sigh. You get in the car and drive to the fire station.
"I have the day off. I've got night shifts for a few weeks." She says and you watch as she closes her eyes. You need a shower and a change of clothes as comfy as Brittany's are.
"Britt can were gonna drop Noah's car off and then I'm gonna go to my place." You say she opens her eyes.
"Can I come with?" You nod and she smile before closing her eyes again. The two of you get out and into your car and drive off. You hum along to the music and it seems Brittany has fallen asleep. You pull in front of the building.
"Britt." You tap her shoulder and she drowsy comes to.
"We're here. She nods and you walk in. The sound of Bandit running and barking welcomes you home. You take a knee as Bandit jumps you.
"Hey cutie." You say as he lickes your face. You pick him up and put him in Brittany face. Who giggles when he licks her. You close the door and put him down. The sound of feet. Mercedes appears.
"What the hell are you doing up at four in the morning?" She says as Brittany tiredly walks to the couch.
"My bad." She grunts as she falls on to the couch. Mercedes walks closer to you. You smile at the blonde.
"Girl, what were you two doing all night?" She whispers and your smile turns into a frown.
"Nothing." You say and walk to your room.
"I came here to get a shower and some clothes." You say as you walk to the bathroom.
When you exit the bathroom Brittany is still out on the couch and Mercedes is in the kitchen. You walk to your room to get dressed. You drop the towel, and search for some clothes. When you're dressed you see Mercedes has coaxed Brittany up with coffee. She looks half asleep.
"Want one?" Mercedes asked and Brittany tiredly eyes her cup. You shake your head and sit next to Brittany.
"Ready?" You ask and she nods lazily and stands. She smiles and thanks Mercedes and Bandit who has fallen asleep on Brittany's feet jumps up and runs off to your room to lay down. You open the door and before you leave Mercedes says to you.
"Be safe." You nod and lead Brittany out.
"Britt I'll take you to home if you want." You say and she looks at you and shakes her head.
"No, I'll sleep at the station so maybe when you're on lunch break we could have lunch." You look at her and nod.
"That sounds nice." You say as she opens the door for you. You get in and start the car as she slides into next to you. You drive as Brittany quietly hums along to the music playing on the radio. You glance at her briefly before turning back to the road.
"What's your best memory of your dad?" You ask and she takes a breath.
"When I was five he had a day off from fire fighting and he took me to the park to feed the ducks. I barely got to see him, but he was always a hero. He's one of the reasons I wanted to be a firefighter." She comments.
"The memories of my mother are fuzzy and the ones that are prominent are ones I would like to forget." She says as she watches the world pass by her window.
"Judy was a good mom. She cared and made me feel loved. And you?" You ask and you smile.
"My father was a doctor and worked almost constantly. So it was usually me my mom, younger twin sisters and little brother." Brittany watches you.
"But there was one time he wasn't working and he ordered food and we had a family day. We watched movies, played games. It was the best day."
"What are you siblings names?" Brittany asks.
"Nora, and Noelle and my brother is David Jr or D.J for short." You say and Brittany nod and smile.
"Since you met my step sister so when do I get to meet yous?" She asks and you roll your eyes.
"That's not fair." You say and she scoffs.
"Tell me how it's not fair. You met Quinn she is my only sibling."
"Britt I met Quinn before we even started this thing. And Quinn knows me as her partner not as her sisters girlfriend." You say.
"Step sister." Brittany corrects you.
"Same thing." You sigh, it bothers you that Brittany won't call Quinn her sister. She always adds the step in front.
"No, It's not the same thing me and Quinn are only related because of a marriage." Brittany states.
"I haven't meet your dad or Judy." You comment and Brittany nods.
"I didn't say your parents I said siblings, Santana. You also want to stay a secret to Quinn if I remember." You nod.
"What is your favorite memory of Quinn?" You say she sighs.
"I forgot all the good ones." She says clearly trying to change the subject.
"Is that why you keep the pictures so they help you to remember?" She shrugs.
"I guess." Brittany shrugs her shoulders.
"It's also because I still love her, but everything just got kinda of broken at some point." Brittany looks at you.
"Tell me about your sisters." Brittany says and you hum in thought.
"Nora is a lot more stubborn and likes things to be her way. She wants to be a singer and she has a great voice. She the twin that a lot more open and it's hard to keep her quiet. Noelle is much more focused on her studies and is a lot shier, she opens up a lot slower but when she does she hilarious. She has the kind of dry humor I think you would love." Brittany nods and you can see her in the corner of your eye.
"How old are they?" You think for a second and count.
"Ahh 17 and D.J 15." You nod and smile as you look at the blonde before your eyes go back to the road.
"What's D.J like?
"He may not like you at first. He feels the weird need to protect us. Even though when I look at him all I see is this cute little 5 year old." Brittany laughs. You notice a pale line across Brittany temple.
"He'll put you through some tests for you to prove yourself." She nods her head.
"What kind of tests so I prepare?" Brittany asks you giggle.
"I can't tell you that. You have to prove yourself." Brittany eyes widen.
"But I'm not good at testing." Her bottom lip pops out in a pout. You shrug.
"Then I guess we just won't work out." You joke and she puffs her chest.
"I will prove my worth and then will be worthy of your family and you." She says in a mock accent. She lets out a log yawn, and rubs her eyes.
"I'm tired." She says and you just shake your head.
"Lean back I'll wake you when we're there." She leans back and you feel a sense of peace at this looks at the door then back at you. You watch her face as she thinks. She looks tired.
