"No one is going to leave without bypassing me first."

"Who says she's alone?"

"Why do we fight?"

"To get rid of the people who taints our land, and to protect our people."

Chapter 26 - Final

They ran seemingly aimlessly in the dark tunnels, blindly hoping that every step they take is one step closer to their final stop. Tsuna listened intently to his intuition, trusting his enhanced sense to get by. Reborn checked his watch and pressed his lips into a straight line.

"We have been moving for the last twenty minutes. The time now is 6.35pm in Italy. How long more..."

"Giotto," the brunet blurted instinctively, though he attempts to take it back to no avail. Reborn shot him a devilish look and he shuddered at the infant's stare.

"Right... Giotto. How long more?"

"A couple of minutes and we should reach the-"

He was cut off when a scream suddenly reverberated down the sewage, ringing loudly in their ears. The voice was recognisable as well, just like the last time. Tsuna grew alarmed immediately, his heart pounding ever so loudly against his ribs. His mind told him to slow while his heart screamed for him to go.

That voice belonged to her! She must be someone nearby!

Deciding to drop all his caution and practicality, the brunet sprinted away, not even stopping to catch his breath. He has been searching for her for so long. He was not going to let this chance slip by his fingers. No! She is waiting for him!

The others cursed under their breaths, taken by surprise by their friend running off because of a scream. What if all these was a trap? What if down that sewage was not going to be the one they were looking for? Their boss' carelessness and recklessness was too much at times. Enma propelled forward with his gauntlets, stopping in front of Tsuna, arms stretched out like a barricade.

"What the heck? Move it Enma!"

"No! You're gonna tell me what got you so hyped up that you threw your comrades behind-"

"That scream was Kyoko's, all right? I know the scream was hers!"

Silence fell between the two of them. The red head looked at the other wide eyed while the brunet continued to glare at him, pleading for him to step aside.

"Are... are you serious?"

"My intuition never lies!"

Enma stared up that the half-blond-brunet's amber eyes that burned in fury and desperation. He sighed and stepped right, clearing the way, but not before he grabbed the elbow of the Vongola boss. The latter glowered at him to let go but he kept his firm grip there.

"Lead us, brother. Not throw us behind."

The intense glare softened as Tsuna nodded his head. The remaining few soon caught up and their leader soon took off again, this time, with his comrades.

Kyoko (she's back)

She does not recall how long had she been in this hell hole, trying to free herself but it was of no use. No one seemed to be able to hear her at all, so she figured that they must be underground. The crows locked her up in a filthy dungeon, so filthy that even the rats run from the stench of the place.

With her arms bound together, she made a deep sigh, wondering when would she be free again. Federic had left just a few hours ago and Rosetta went to meet her boss since give or take... twenty minutes ago. No one came in to keep watch, and she could not break free from the chains either.

Suddenly, Klein -as she recognised- barged in, now with a sword at hand. An angered look dawned on his face and it intensified when he saw , he drew out blood from the slit across her abdomen, eliciting a scream from her. The scream rang in his ears, settling him down as he knew that he inflicted pain on his enemy. He brought his weapon down again, now creating an ugly gash on her side. The brunette cried out in pain, yet she did not beg him to stop. She was no masochist, but she would rather shout her pain than to expose her secrets. The man scowled.

He was not satisfied.

"Why keep your mouth shut? You're suppose to let the world hear you, princess. You're suppose to be that helpless princess that's awaiting her prince to save her, but betrays him in the end."

Kyoko glared up at him despite the aching pain that was inflicted on her body. Hatred flared behind her eyes as she tried to minimise the pain. Her arms were still tied down, but she wrangled and twisted her arms in an attempt to escape.

But they were all for naught.

Klein pushed his blade into her left shoulder, and one deafening cry escaped her dry lips. Soon, due to the loss of blood, Kyoko's head lulled forward as she was sent into oblivion.

The rain guardian smirked, finally satisfied in rendering the girl unconscious. He untied her arms and threw her over his shoulder as he strutted out proudly, an arrogant grin plastering his face.

Tsuna

They turned to another corner, now noticing light being emitted. They sped up and reached their destination, yet the sight they saw caused all of them to freeze.

A bloodied, unconscious Kyoko was held up by ropes, hanging on her wrists. Her clothes were cut up, exposing the bruised skin underneathe. On her right is a familiar man, just without the purple hair. Gokudera frowned almost immediately. Just like them...

A reincarnation.

The brunet glanced at his ring, knowing that there may have been a mishap while the ring transferred them to the future, as unbelievably as it sounds.

"Corvino... Primo."

The man smirked, rising from his velvet plush chair, a major contrasting object to the grey walls behind. He applauded slowly, eying each of them from left to right.

"Well done, Sawada Tsunayoshi, or should I say... Vongola Decimo. Wait, I mean, Primo. I wonder if you're still as naïve as before."

Said teen clenched his fist, trying to control himself before he loses it again. He has his comrades to back him up, and he was not going to forget that any moment soon. He lifted his head and smirked at the other, but not enough to throw the man off.

"I'm a mere fourteen year old. Of course I am still naïve."

The rain guardian nearly barked out a laugh, barely controlling himself by placing a trembling hand on the brunet's shoulder to shoe his support. The storm followed, his weapon now out of its containment. The Shimon boss stood slightly behind, a maniacal grin appeared as his earthly flames danced on his hands and his forehead.

A pink head stood in front of the man, her weapons stretched out, threatening, while the other trailed his sword and smirked. The Corvino boss pointed to the two.

"My name is Mauro here, and these two are Rosetta and Klein."

Mauro then gave his two guardians a light push on the back and they began to advance, the colour of blood colouring their visions.

With all his comrades beside him, Tsuna lit his fists as blond took over his final brown locks, his eyes shut and a frown creased on his face.

A final happy memory filled their minds and all of them felt more confident. Reborn stood at the side, his gun put away already, waiting for this upcoming historical scene to unfold.

"It's time." The blond declared, revealing his striking neon orange eyes from behind his long bangs.

They shall finally be free from this centurion nightmare, and they are going to get their friend back.

Tsuna and Enma stood side by side, flames alight. Determination locked in their minds as they faced their final obstacle from their centurion nightmare. Mauro cracked his knuckles, grinning manically from ear to ear.

"We will end everything right here, right now."

"Come get me."

~End~

Or is it?

A/N: Alright guys! This concludes the end of RITF! I hope you guys enjoyed the whole thing. I know the end is looking really rushed but I had actually planned for this. I'll leave you all to imagine how the Corvinos lost (yes they did).

I'd like to give thanks to all who followed, "favourited" and reviewed on this story. It's not my best, but I'm grateful to all that hung on and continued to support me. Thus, before you ask if there will be any sequels, my answer would be -not affirmative. This is because I have got school and another story to tackle and would love to give my time to that story instead. I did plan how the sequel would be like, and it will be a crossover with "Detective Conan" if it ever happens.

I also need to change this book's title. RITF is actually to help me remember the core purpose of the book, it's like the main subject. So I need someone to help me form a name for this. And some last minute publicity, I actually have this updates blog, so you can go check that up for latest updates or for the fun of it (yeah, I posted random things too).

Signing out,
RIN
