Song: Bad intention by Digital Daggers- Marj on the field

Marjorie groaned, her eyes opening to meet the furnished white ceiling above. She fluttered her eyes and yawned while stretching her arms on both sides.

"Ah she's awake." She heard a sweet voice not far from where she was sleeping. It caused her to sit up immediately. Her eyes darted to the blonde girl standing to the door side. "I need her breakfast." She yelled before walking slowly towards Marjorie.

Wait. How did she even gotten in the room in the first place?

Her brown eyes met the blonde's pair of light blue eyes. No human could have ripped the door open. Vampire? She was bewildered by the incredible display of strength that the girl has shown her by ripping the car door open however her mind screamed danger with the blood dripping on her hand.

Taking a few steps back while meeting her gaze, she stumbled but was able to regain her composure. She saw the girl's amused smile before turning around to run for her life. Running away as fast as she could, she felt something hard hit her and everything went dark.

"You need it after all you are human." Bekah smiled at her and despite the seemingly warm greeting, she was frightened as evident with the rapid beating of her heart. "I'm Rebekah." Her eyes twinkled, finding something intriguing to how the girl was behaving.

"Um…Marjorie." She replied.

Bekah witnessed how Marjorie darted her eyes skeptically at her. She stood and studied Marjorie's face, as if trying to place a face with a name. "You're not a doppelganger, are you Marjorie?"

"Doppelganger, like the ghost?" Marjorie cleared her question.

"She's not some duplicate that I will fall for like Elijah did." Kol sighed, crossing his arms as he stepped beside Rebekah.

Rebekah's lips curled into a smile.

Marjorie almost forgot Kol if he did not stepped next to Bekah. But what does she meant by Duplicate? Her minds drifted to the tales that Kol has shared to her and she could not recall a single detail about doppelganger.

"No. It's not like him to settle for mortals." Rebekah said to herself, remembering her brother's word on how it was a sign of weakness.

"Please do forgive Rebekah, she's fond of talking nonsense." Kol glared to Rebekah which caught Marjorie's attention. Rebekah also turned to her side to see what Marjorie was looking at but only saw nothing.

"Marjorie, pretend that I'm not here. She should not know that you can see me." Kol instructed her. The girl looked back at Rebekah with Kol's instruction.

It was curious as to why Kol has followed Rebekah if he does not want to get close to her. From what she has observed, the other people were following the ones they had left behind and would give anything to have a chance to talk to them.

The room should provide comfort but she felt uneasy with Rebekah's presence. "Thank you for what you did last night but look. I have no business here or whatsoever around Mystic Falls. Please, let me go. I won't tell anyone, I promise." She tried to appeal to Rebekah.

Kol groaned with her appeal.

"You think that's my greatest worry? To have you babbling around the town?" Rebekah giggled. "It's not that, Marjorie. There's much more to that." Her response shrouded in enigma.

"What do you mean?" Marjorie tilted her head.

"You should just ignore her." Kol commented.

There are tons of question that Marjorie had in her head although she knew that it may only brought her trouble to ask all of those questions to Rebekah. With her failed appeal, she could settle for Kol to shed some light.

"You really don't know? You-" A phone rang and Rebekah took it.

A girl nearly close to her age entered, bringing a tray containing her breakfast: a juice and some eggs and bacons. Rebekah motioned for the girl to serve it to Marjorie and she obliged. There was a blank look on her face as she received her breakfast and left immediately once she has served her.

She could not hear what the other line was saying to Rebekah but her glowering face told her that it was something serious. "Alright. I'll be there." She said before lowering her phone to her pocket.

Rebekah stepped closer to Marjorie, meeting her eyes again. "You will not go outside because you will wait for me. You will not text or call anyone while I'm gone, understand?"

"Alright." Marjorie complied.

"Good. I hope you'll enjoy breakfast while I'm off to do business. We can talk more about that later." She winked before vanishing with a tremendous speed, closing the door.

She was able to breath properly once Rebekah left her sight, leaving her alone with Kol. "What was that? Doppelganger? Brothers? Kol I'm not getting the picture."

"You're not supposed to."

"Not supposed to what? You were following her yesterday and now you're saying that she's crazy and that I shouldn't listen to her?"

"Rebekah's trouble and so are her brothers. Let's leave it at that, yeah?" Kol looked closely at her.

"I don't even know who she is before yesterday. It's impossible for me to meet her brothers because so far I've only talk to Matt and you."

"If you don't want to involve yourself into a teenage drama life, I am giving you a sound advice. Do not involve yourself with her."

"I think it's too late for that now. I haven't even met her before why does she think I'm a doppelganger? Do I look like a ghost?"

Kol took a deep breath before revealing the answer to her. "The doppelganger she's speaking of has nothing to do with ghosts but rather people who exactly looked like each other through a bloodline . She's a vampire and might have mistaken you from someone she knew before. I think she's becoming senile."

"This is crazy. I have to talk to my dad." She stammered, reaching in her jean's pockets to find her phone.

Kol watched her use her phone with a peculiar amusement. "You have to leave. Believe me if I told you that you would not like to spend more time with Bekah."

She clicked her tongue to see that her phone's battery would almost die and immediately dialed her dad's number and stood up out of the bed. It was like a never ending ringing as her call was went unanswered. Hearing her father's voice on the other side, telling to leave him a message she took a deep breath.

"Dad. I-I don't know where I am-"

Kol cut her off and revealed the address to where she was at the moment, also the fact that Rebekah has compelled a girl to let her stay in her home to remain hidden. After disclosing the information to her father, Marjorie tried to straighten her voice even if the situation scares her. "I don't know how far I can go but I'll try my best. Please Dad, I-" The phone blinked and died.

"Damn it." She angrily, shoved her phone back in her pocket.

"You should hurry before Bekah comes back." Kol warned.

"Is it the same girl you've mistaken me for back then? Is that why she tried to save me?" She walked to see the window. They were in the second floor and the nearest neighbor that she could see was at least a good kilometer away. But there's no other way, right?

"Yes." He whispered.

"I don't think I can convince her otherwise about it." She walked slowly, not making a sound and locked the door.

"You're right and that is why you should leave before she can do you any harm." Kol cautioned her about the vampire.

Kol used to hang out with Bekah or at least he should have been in the same circle as her which was possible considering that they were both vampires. If that is how Rebekah was behaving from what she witnessed then it may not be hard that Kol used to be just like Rebekah. It hasn't occurred to her until now the possibility that Kol might be the kind of vampire who killed for other reasons aside from satiating himself of human blood.

She opened the window and met the cold wind brushing against her skin.

Kol caught up to what she was thinking. "What are you thinking? You might hurt yourself."

"It's not that high. I can do it besides I have things to do."

"Are you crazy?" It was more of a statement than a question from Kol to her.

"Nope. I have to finish my homework for tomorrow and I have a project due next week."

"You're abducted by a vampire and all you can think is your studies?" Kol creased his eyebrow.

"Look Kol. I'm not going to make supernatural stuff ruin my life, okay? I'm going to graduate and go to college." She steadied herself, straddling the sill of the window pane.

"You're unbelievable." He shook his head.

"I have to leave and that girl should not see me or Rebekah will know." She closed her eyes and took a few shallow breaths before slipping out of the window. Carefully stepping on the brick roof, Kol followed her.

As silently as she could, she went to the edge of the roof and breath then looked back to the room to see that it was still locked. "I can do it." She whispered to herself.

She inhaled deeply before jumping down the ground, her foot met the grass. Swaying a little as she landed, she clenched her first in victory as she landed safely. She looked up to see that Kol was missing but when she turned to her back, she saw Kol.

"Don't do that." She hissed, holding up to her chest.

"Sorry." He whispered, only to realize that there was no need for him to lower his voice since he's dead.

Alright, here we go. Marjorie could not wait for her father and so she should leave the house were Rebekah put her. She may have saved her but a company with a live vampire does not sound like a good idea.

He followed her as she run on the field. She doesn't even know where she's running to but he knew that she was doing what he was telling her. It was for her own good after all. Rebekah might disclose something that might sabotage what he has planned from the beginning he set eyes on her.

Whatever it was that took Rebekah's attention must have something to do with the bloody cure that she was after just like his deranged brother Niklaus. They did not listen to him and if Silas rose along with the cure, it would be their own fault.

He lost track on how long they were running, Marj was getting slower and she was sweating like a pig. The house looked very small to where they were standing and the houses was getting nearer. A green jeep came into view, rushing to the road. "Dad! Dad!" Marjorie ran towards the jeep that stopped several feet away from them.

"Marjorie." Kenneth embraced his daughter and looked around to see if there's anyone else aside from them.

"Dad, someone attacked me and Jonathan." She pulled away looking to her father, tears brimming to her eyes.

"Shhh. I'm so sorry. If I had known-." Kenneth shook his head, somehow relieved that Marjorie was alive. "We should go now. I'm going to see to it that you're safe. You should rest." He opened the passenger's door to his daughter before going to the driver's seat. The jeep was going fast even if they had left Mystic Falls. Marjorie fell asleep along the road and Kol remained silent on the backseat.

The jeep stopped on a road house bar and parked it. To his surprise, Kol saw Jonathan with a bandage wrapped on his shoulder. Kenneth opened the door of the jeep and nodded to him.

"Is she alright?"

"She's fine. Just tired."

"You should have waited for the others before rescuing your daughter."

"I've lost Shannon. I'm not going to lose her too. If I waited-"

"I told you the youngest original took care of the attacker. Rebekah Mikaelson couldn't have taken her if she means to harm her."

"I shouldn't have brought her to Mystic Falls." Kenneth rubbed his nape and glanced back to his sleeping daughter.

"It's not your fault, Ken."

"It is. She's not going to be a part of the crazy world not until she's ready. I promised that to Shannon." Kenneth put his hands in his pocket.

"They are coming soon to pick Marjorie up and bring her to safety with Patricia on the way."

"That is not necessary."

"Maybe not but they are moving again soon they even brought some of your things with them."

"Again?"

"They nearly have their job done in Vermont so it's time to move on to another place. You know how it is and that she's safer with them." Jonathan pointed out.

"I'll bring Marjorie away from Atlanta first. I'll text Patricia know where we'll be then I'll go back to Mystic Falls to continue what I started."

"I'll buy some food first so that she gets to eat something. It'll be a long drive for us."

Kol was not expecting to hear all of that. He wondered if her father knew about her and him although he highly doubt that. It looked as if there was something more that Marjorie doesn't know about her family aside from her being a witch.

That's all for now. Sorry for the wait. Reviews and criticisms are welcome!
