"I told you, she was his girlfriend." Dr. Robins whispered to Dr. Williams as they walked away. Dr. Williams laughed. "Maybe the girlfriend has some amnesia of her own,"

This time it was Dr. Robins' turn to laugh.

Miku trembled uneasily as she noticed Len stare at her every few minutes he and Rin were talking, as if he were calling her towards his grasp. She clutched her pajamas until she heard Len. He talked in a fancy way, such as the older times that people addressed each other.

Rin looked at Miku with a hint of annoyance on her face to Len's several responses. Then she leaned in and whispered in Len's ear. "Why, do you address Miku as your girlfriend?"

Len pulled away and smirked as he looked straight into the eyes of Miku. Miku shifted her gaze tensely, trying hard not to look or think of Rin's brother.

"Because she is." a masculine voice replied, still not looking away. Rin's soft giggle filled the room once more. "Can't you see she's uneasy? You must have mistaken her..she's never met you before."

Miku nodded her head wildly to what Rin had said, trying her best so that Len would take his eyes off her. He did.

"But she knows me. We danced at a ball, and I could tell by the look of her eyes that she liked me. I liked her too."

Miku gasped at what Len said, and finally looked at him completely. "It..you..I-I.."

Now, the question was answered. How Miku thought Len was so familiar. Why she was so attracted to him.

Everything was answered, now and right here. She had fit the puzzle together.

She believed that, in that dream, she had started all of this. And to meeting Len, he had the same dream. Now, he still thinks he's in that dream. And he's starting to live that dream.. because now all he remembered was that dream.

"You remember now, right?" Len asked, his cerulean eyes tinting a dark shade of blue. Miku didn't wish to respond to that; it was a mere dream. Yet.. Len.. he..

"Miku, we need to get him checked by the doctors. I'm sure that.. there'll be a way out of this," Rin said determinedly.

Dr. Robins clicked his jaw, taking off the stethoscope he had around his neck. A worried look was plastered on his face, and this was quite easy to notice. He looked at the two girls, identified as Miku and Rin. He then opened his mouth indecisively, but he retracted his jaw quickly upon doing so and turned to Dr. Williams. He leaned towards her, placing his brisk, rough lips upon her ear as he murmured a few words that, by the tension, made Dr. Williams inch a bit uncomfortably forward and nod.

He made a classy "ahem" before speaking. "Ladies," he announced. "We have come forward to a frustrating conclusion.. our theory is that your brother," he nodded to Rin, "is sick. He had a major concussion on his head, leading for him to have amnesia and find that.. Miku is his girlfriend."

"Well, what's the conclusion? Or.. the solution?" Miku asked meekly. Dr. Williams continued the speech for her partner-in-work. "Are you sure you want to hear it? All I want from you two is two nods, and we're good to go."

Miku and Rin nodded quickly at the tone of Dr. William's voice. Dr. Williams' smile turned into icy frost, as if reluctant to continue. "Our wisest doctor has already confirmed that this is the best method to start again," she commenced.

Wait.. start again? This did not, on a good note, seem to start good for Miku.

"..is to continue the charade of Miku being Len's girlfriend until he receives better memory, because most likely he will gain his memories once more, as the case of our other patients." Dr. Williams finished her sentence.

"W-what!?" Rin said, raising a hand in a startled position. Her eyes narrowed themselves. They looked disapproving, unwilling, and most of all, menacing. "I'm sorry.. I just.. I just.."

"If anything, Miku, I'd suggest acting as if you really were his girlfriend, you know? It'll probably stimulate his brain better, knowing how his brain signals react to a signal we created." Dr. Williams suggested as Dr. Robins nodded to this.

Shocked.

This is what, Hatsune Miku felt.

She was shocked.

Shocked.

Shocked.

...

However Miku could already imagine Rin's eyes, flooded with tears if her brother couldn't recover. Rin was her best friend. The last thing I'll ever want for them is to suffer, Miku reflected. If I don't do this.. another burden will be cast on the Kagamines.

It would be under the cost of.. a game, though. A game she never asked to play. Never wanted to. She had to.

"When is Rin getting out of the hospital?" Mikuo looked up at his sister, taking a sip from his spoon that contained some soup unconsciously. "Ow!" he hissed, letting go of the heated spoon and soup that had nearly burnt his tongue, the contents falling onto the rug underneath the carpet.

Miku sighed, rushing to the sink to get a napkin. She grabbed one napkin, folded it in quarters, turning the tip of the tap to dampen the tip of the napkin. Once this procedure was done, she ran under the table to wash the stain on the rug. "Mikuo, you should have blown the soup first!" Miku scolded him, just like a mother would have.

"Don't blame me 'cause you ain't me!" Mikuo rolled his eyes, folding his arms. "So, are you going to answer?"

"There's some things that you don't need to know about, Mikuo." Miku replied, not wanting to answer his question.

"Please? Please tell me," Mikuo swung his frail, little legs back in forth in the chair, accidentally hitting Miku.

"Ouch! That's the second time, Mikuo! If this happens one more-" Miku began only to be cut by Mikuo. "It's a handsome guy, isn't it? Rin's boyfriend? No, brother!" Mikuo asked, his cute, dark aquamarine orbs blinking twice.

"What? No! In absolute heck, never in a million years have I liked-" Miku snapped up only to abruptly stop, knowing she had said too much.

Mikuo grinned sheepishly, eventually erupting in laughter. "Bwahahaha! You're so weak, Miku! So weak I could easily read your mind... you do know that I've met him once, didn't you? When I came over to Rin's,"

"You know what, you're so annoying! Leave me alone for once, will you!?" a frenzied Miku ran to her room, carrying the napkin along with her.
