Yo! I'm Crazy Adamantine, but you may call me Cray! I wanted to write a Big Hero 6 fanfiction and here I am! This is one of those Alive!Tadashi fics that many of us seem to love so much, because I guess we can't get enough of the Hamada brothers! Their (brotherly) relationship is so cute!

Disclaimer: Characters are obviously not mine.

"Who are you?"

A hopeful heart had broken upon those words.

Perhaps it was best to start from the beginning. It had been a mostly uneventful day, aside from fighting common crime for Big Hero 6, and Hiro had decided to watch the sunset with Baymax again on the fish ornaments that floated in the sky. It had been routine for them, something only the two of them would do after an exhausting day of being heroes. Today's sunset seemed to top the rest that Hiro had ever seen.

The moment was ruined when Baymax had said: "Tadashi."

Hiro hadn't known what Baymax had meant at the time. He just assumed the robot had missed his creator or wished that he could watch the sunset with them. "I know how you feel," he had said with a wry smile. He also wished his brother was here.

"Tadashi is here."

"I know he is." He had looked up at Baymax to smile at him, only to find the robot looking—and pointing—downwards.

"Tadashi is here," Baymax said again, and he stood, prepared to fly.

He seemed almost excited and Hiro felt a surge of hope. Without hesitation, he practically leaped onto the robot's back and they flew to where Baymax had sensed "Tadashi," landing in the main park. Hiro looked around, searching almost desperately for any sign of the one person he would give anything to have back. He mostly relied on Baymax for guidance, as the healthcare robot was the one to sense him.

Finally, they had come across a lone figure, standing by a tree and looking lost. His back was turned to them, but Hiro immediately recognized the attire he donned. Sure, it was burnt and very dirty, but he knew it anywhere.

His brother had worn those very clothes on the day he died. Or, in this case, supposedly died.

"T-Tadashi...?" The figure was startled and turned, revealing that face that Hiro had missed so much. The teenage Hamada's throat closed up and his eyes watered as he tried to find something to say. After a long time, he gave up and just ran up to Tadashi, catching him in a tight embrace and trying yet failing to resist the urge to sob in a mixture of joy, anger, and longing. His throat started working again after that. "Y-you're alive! I can't believe it! How did you escape? Where have you been all this time? Why didn't you come home?"

When Hiro looked up at his brother's face, he was met with utter confusion. The eyes that stared back at him were not the loving eyes he wanted to see again; the eyes that stared back at him didn't seem to recognize him at all. "Tadashi? What's wrong?"

"Who's Tadashi? Who are you?"

If hearts were glass, one could hear Hiro's shatter from a thousand miles away.

"O-Onii-chan...?"

It wasn't Tadashi.
