Chapter 20 (Truely Free 2)

Toy Freddy

Steven woke up in on a disassembly line. He tried to move his arms and legs, but they were strapped down to the line. He looked to his left, seeing the limp body of Juliana. Steven tried to reach over to Juliana, but the bindings on his wrists prevented any movement. "Hey Juliana! Wake up!" Steven called. Juliana's pupils flickered, then turned on. "Hello Steven. Where are we?" asked Juliana. Steven took another look around, noting the line he was on.

"We're on a disassembly line." said Steven. Juliana sighed. "I guess that was inevitable, we did cause a lot of havoc." Steven started to shake. "But I don't want to die! I just killed Charlotte, I need to do something!" Steven struggled against his bindings, but they were far too tight to do anything against.

"Hey Steven." called Juliana. Steven stopped struggling to listen. "This is going to happen, no matter what. I suggest we talk, before we get disassembled." Steven let out a shaky sigh. "All right...what did you want to talk about?" Juliana seemed to think for a second. "I think I've had a pretty good run, don't you?" asked Juliana. Steven froze. "What do you mean by that?" Juliana's pupil started to flicker. "I'm not going to let another person take me apart. That's happened to much in my life." Steven desperately tried to reach towards Juliana, but the bindings on his wrists prevented him from reaching more than an inch or two.

Play Kingdom Heart's Sanctuary (After The Battle).

"Don't leave me Juliana! I need you, or I'll be scared again. I don't want to be afraid!" Juliana smiled. "You don't need me to be brave. You can do it yourself." Steven struggled against his bindings, trying to stop Juliana from doing this. "Please, don't do this Juliana! I love you!" Juliana's pupil started to erratically flicker. "I love you too Steven. Promise me something, ok?" Tears started to run down Steven's face. "Please...don't go." Juliana reached her hand forward, as her bindings weren't too tight. Juliana took Steven's hand in hers. "Promise me that you'll be brave." Steven held Juliana's hand tightly. "I promise." said Steven through his tears. "Thank...you…" said Juliana as her voice faded into radio static. And Juliana died.

Steven started to sob as he held Juliana's hand. "Why...why…" cried Steven. A sudden jerk signified the disassembly line had started to move. Steven started to shake. "No...I don't want to die…" Steven then remembered his promise. "No, I have to be brave!" he said to himself. Steven looked up at the ceiling, wondering what he should do. There sat Steven, a boy who had lost everything, but then why did he feel like he had also gained something? He had done everything he had too: he had avenged Allen, he had killed Charlotte. "Heh...guess I did at least do something good with my life…" he said to himself.

As Steven thinked, the words of a friend ran through his head. "You don't have to be afraid mister!" Steven thought about Allen's words. You know...I guess I don't have to be scared… Steven thought. A sudden beam of light shined on Steven's face. He looked up to see an open window, with the sun rising on a new day, Steven's last day. I don't need to stay here anymore. Steven thought. So there Steven lay, a boy who had made new friends, gotten a girlfriend, and killed his archnemesis, all while dead. But death isn't the end for anything, and Steven knew that his accomplishments would stick with him through the end. Steven took a last look at Juliana. I did all this, for you. And with this knowledge, Steven drifted into slumber.

Steven's spirit drifted out of the empty shell of Toy Freddy and towards Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. When he got there he saw all of his friends. Allen looked happy, the same he had always been. Howard and Sarah were sitting on the ground, leaning on each other and smiling like all couples do. Finally Juliana stood near the back, giving Steven a large beaming smile. Steven walked up to her, embracing her in a hug. And Steven, finally wasn't afraid.
