Thundercats of Elsweyr
A/N: Hello fellow readers, Sonicfighter here giving you another chapter of my popular story, 'Thundercats of Elsweyr'. Sorry it took so long, I have writer's block and family issues. In this chapter, the Thundercats and their allies, the Dragon Shield travel to a small town for some rest and recuperation when a few explorers from a tavern told them about a Dwemer structure with an artifact that can help them on their journey. But upon getting there, they encounter to both their disbelief and surprise, an army of Ayleid Elves, who they though were extinct long ago. Upon their capture, they travel to a new land and gain new allies. I don't own Thundercats, or the Elder Scrolls series. They belong to their rightful owners. Lost Odyssey belong to Nobuo Uematsu and Mistwalker. I only own my OCs.
Chapter 12: Strangers in an Elven Land
What was 5 days for Lion-O was only an hour for the others when he was in the Book of Omens. About 3 hours have pass since the Lord of the Thundercats told his family, friends and the Dragon Shield of what he saw in the Book of Omens as they sat around a campfire next to the Tower of Omens while Dilelic pass them bowls of soup he made for them. To say that they're surprise is an understatement.
"So, your ancestor was the Champion of Cyrodiil? That's amazing." Wilykat said.
"'Amazing?' More like incredible." WilyKit said to her brother. "He help take down the original leader of the Mystic Dawn."
"Indeed." Tygra said in agreement.
"Not only that, but Leo help unite the different races of Tamriel against Dagon." Cheetara said
"Yes, he did." Lion-O said to the former Cleric.
"So Jaga told you about finding the remaining shards of the Amulet of Kings before the Mythic Dawn find them first, right?" Pumyra ask Lion-O.
"Yes." Lion-O said to Pumyra as he poke the fire with the stick. "And if the cult manage to find them and destroy them, it'll be impossible to banish Mehrunes Dagon again."
"But didn't you also say that the Septim bloodline live on in secret?" Ani said to the Lord of the Thundercats.
"That's what Jaga told me." He said to Ani.
"I'll bet with a Septim back on the Ruby throne, we'll end this war." Bedaf said.
"That's easier said than done, Bedaf." Panthro said to the Nord. "But I doubt the currant emperor won't give up the throne without a fight."
"True that may be a challenge, but we face challenges before." Saheen said to the Thunderian general.
"Jaga also mention us finding Kaim and Sarah. If I remember, they were both allies to me and Claudius during the war against Orsinium." Leona said as she recall that time.
"He did mention that. He also mention of helping them with their trouble, whatever they might be and reunite them with their long lost daughter, Lirum." Lion-O said to his mother.
"'Lirum'. That's a pretty name." Snarf said, liking the name Lirum.
"It mean 'Ocean Eyes' in the Nordic tongue. No offense, Bedaf." Dilelic said to Bedaf as he sat down.
"None taken." Bedaf said to the Breton archer.
"So Lion-O, any ideas on where we go from here?" Snarf ask his friend.
"Well, there's a town a few miles South-East near the border of Valenwood. We'll stop there to resupply. Maybe hear what's going on." Lion-O said as he look at the map and point to a town just a distance away from the forest.
"And maybe sleep in a bed for once." Wilykat point out.
"No argument there." His sister said in agreement.
"Then it's settled. We leave for the town at dawn." Tygra said to the others as they all nod in agreement and they all went to sleep.
The next day after having breakfast, both the Thunderians and the Dragon Shield head to the town South-East of the forest and near the border of Valenwood.
It took til mid-day to reach the town. As they enter, they saw several houses, along with stands for traders, a blacksmith store, a tavern, an inn, and a mayor's house. They even saw Nords, Orcs, Wood Elves, and Breatons going about their days working, or just walking around.
"This look nice." Cheetara said as she look at the townsfolk.
"Yeah, a little too nice." Tygra said to Cheetara.
"Well, none of them realize that there's a war going on." Leona said to her adopted son as they continue walking.
"Maybe some of them do." Wilykat guessed.
"True." His sister said in agreement.
Soon, they reach a two story tavern called, The Flying Boar.
"'The Flying Boar.' That's an interesting name." Panthro said as he look at the sign.
"Let's go." Lion-O said as he, and the others enter the building.
The inside of the tavern is like any other tavern: people drinking ale, eating food, talking with each-other, etc.
"Wow, this place is packed." Snarf said.
"Hey! We don't serve his kind here." The tavern owner said to the Thunderians and the Dragon Shield.
"Um, what?" Leona said to the owner, now getting what he mean.
"Your pet. He'll have to go outside." The owner said as he mention Snarf.
"'Pet'?! Now what a minute." Snarf said, feeling insulted.
"It's okay Snarf. Don't worry, we'll be back before you know it." Lion-O said to his friend.
Snarf sigh. "If you say so, Lion-O." He then walk outside the tavern and lie down next to the door.
"Sheesh. Talk about strict business." Ani whisper to Saheen.
"I agree." The Argonian whispered back.
The Thunderians and the mercenaries walk to the stand as the owner said to them,
"What can I get ya?"
"What do you have?" The Lord of the Thundercats ask.
"Take a look." The owner said as he handed him a list.
Lion-O check the list while the rest find a place to sit. They find several empty chairs and sat down in them. However, their seats is next to two men, talking to each-other about something. One is a Breton and the other is an Imperial.
"Are you sure it exist?" The Breton said to the Imperial.
"I'm certain." The Imperial said as he handed him a drawing of what look like a tower of Dwemer design. "I found this tower just a day from here to the South and drew this."
"Fascinating." The Breton said in awe as he look at the drawing.
The Thundercats heard every word thanks to their advance hearing while the Dragon Shield couldn't cause the other noises.
"I'll be right back." Tygra said as he got up from the chair and walk toward the other table.
"Excuse me, sorry if me and my friends eve-drop, but I'm interested to know what's in that tower." Tygra said to the two men.
"I'm glad you ask." The Imperial said to Tygra as he show him the drawing of the tower. "I believe that the Dwemer use it as an observatory or something like that. I don't know what it's purpose is cause no one have been inside, not even me."
"Your joking." Tygra said, thinking that the man was fooling.
"I'm not. That place is crawling with old Dwemer automatons. Their are Spiders, Spheres and Centurions, an entire army from what I heard. I even heard that there's also a Colossus. That thing can take out an entire Imperial Legion." The Imperial said to the Thunderian.
"Aye." The Breton said in agreement. "But some say the Dwemer constructed a device that can find lost artifacts located in the heart of that place."
"Really?" Tygra said.
"Aye, but only a fool can go there." The Imperial said as he drink is mead.
"I see. Thank you for your time." Tygra said to the two as he walk back to the others and sit back down.
"What was that about, Tygra?" Wilykat said to the former prince.
"Just a couple of explorers talking about an old Dwemer ruin that may or may not have an artifact that can help us." Tygra said to the young Khajjit.
"Really?" Wilykit said, sounding surprise.
"What else you heard, Tygra?" Leona said to her adopted son.
"Yeah." Panthro also said.
"They also said it's a day journey to the South of here." Tygra said to Panthro.
"Hm, sound like we have a journey ahead of us." Bedaf said.
"Yeah, but we need to rest and recuperation first." Ani said to one of her brothers in arm.
"True." Saheen said in agreement.
Back with Lion-O after he order for him and his friends, he gave the keeper a few Thunderian shillings to pay for the food as he look at the currency.
"A Thunderian Shilling." The innkeeper said as he move the coin from one side to the next and sigh.
"Sorry, but we don't deal with antiques around here." He said as he put the shilling down and move the rest back to Lion-O.
"But Thunderian currency have been the most prized in all of Tamriel." Lion-O told the innkeeper.
"Nowadays their relics of a fallen kingdom." The innkeeper said to the Lord of the Thundercats.
Lion-O put the now worthless Thunderian money back and pulled out a few gold coins.
"Those will do." The innkeeper said as he remove them from the Lord of the Thundercats.
The innkeeper then begin placing food on a wooden tray which are 6 sweet rolls, 3 bowls of potato soups, 3 bowls of tomato soups, 2 bowls of leek soups, 9 loafs of bread and 10 bottles of mead since the Thunder-Kittens are too young to drink.
"Thank you." Lion-O said to the innkeeper as he hold up the tray as carefully walk to the table where the others are.
"Your welcome." The innkeeper replied back.
Lion-O made it to the table as he place it down on it as the others grab their food and begin eating. The Lord of the Thundercats soon join them after putting the tray back to the innkeeper.
"So, any ideas where to go next?" Lion-O said as he eat his potato soup.
"I've done some snooping around, and I've heard a few men talking about a Dwemer structure that said to house a devise that can help us." Tygra said as he eat his bread.
"Really?" Lion-O said, sounding interested.
"Yes. He also said that the devise can find lost artifacts. It can help us find the Shards of the Amulet of Kings." Wilykat said to Lion-O as he and his sister enjoy their leek soups.
"But there's a problem, it's guarded by an army of Dwemer machines from Spiders to Centurions. There's even said to be a Colossus among it." Wilykit also said.
"A Colossus, huh? I heard those things can smash an entire Imperial legion. Though, no one have seen one for many millenniums." Lion-O Said.
"Guess we'll be the first. If we survive that long." Panthro joked.
"Where'd you get this information, Tygra?" Lion-O ask his adopted brother.
The Thunderian point his finger on the two men from earlier and said,
"From those two over there."
"I see." Lion-O said to his brother as he continue eating his soup.
"I also heard that this town have a bathhouse. I think none of us have bathe in days." Cheetara also said to Lion-O.
Bedaf sniff his armpit and grimace. "You got a point, Cheetara."
"Then it's settled. We stay for the night and make for the tower at dawn." Leona said as the others all nod in agreement.
After they finish eating, the Thunderians, Snarf and Dragon Shield walk to a bath house, which is a two story wooden building. They enter the bath house and are greeted by a male Dark Elf as he smiled.
"Welcome friends."
"Thanks." Lion-O replied.
Soon, a couple of staff members escorted the males to one room and the females to the other. The rooms have 2 large baths and a steam room. They are then stripped of their clothes, armor and weapons and are told that they'll be washed and polished by the time they finish.
"This feels nice." Wilykat said to the others as he enjoys the bath.
"Don't get too comfortable, Kat. Remember, we leave at Dawn." Lion-O said to one of the youngest member in the group.
"We know, Lion-O. Relax and enjoy yourself." Tygra said to his younger brother.
"You know, I remember seeing several bath houses like this one back home in Skyrim." Bedaf said.
"Really?" Dilelic said to the Nord in surprise.
"Yes. They're also spreading all over Tamriel." Bedaf said to his archer companion.
"Yeah. I'm glad that we no longer have to wash under a waterfall or in a river." Wilykat said.
"Well, some still do Wilykat." Tygra said to the Thunder-Kitten.
"True." Wilykat said as he nod.
Panthro didn't say anything cause he was busy enjoying the bath.
Snarf is also enjoying the bath as he sink into the water.
In the other room, the females are also enjoying themselves in the steam room as Cheetara pour a ladle of water over a pit of hot coal, releasing the steam.
"It's nice to have a break from all of the fighting we've been through." Ani said to the others.
"I agree, especially the one where we fought Molag Bal and Metrunes Dagon." Wilykit also said.
"Don't remind me." Cheetara said as she still remember getting shocked by the Dedric Prince of Enslavement.
"The next time we face them. We'll be ready." Pumyra said as she punch her left fist in her right hand.
"I hope the Dwemer tower is what those two men at the tavern said is true. I hate walking into a trap." Leona said in concern.
"You worry too much your highness." Saheen said to the former queen of Thunderia. "If those two meant us harm, we would already be dead by now."
"I know, but still." Leona said to the Argonian.
"There's one thing that bothers me, why would a Dwemer observatory need an army of automatons?" Wilykit ask.
"Maybe it's to keep valuable secrets out of outsiders hands." Cheetara said to the Thunder-Kitten.
"Maybe. We'll just have to see for ourselves." Leona said to the former cleric as she and the others continue to enjoy their down time.
About an hour later, both male and female came out with towels on their waists for the males or around their bodies for the females. They soon have their clothes, armor and weapons back as they put them back on. Bedaf then pay for the service and he and the Dragon Shield and the Thundercats leave the bathhouse.
They soon visit the market where they purchase several loaves of bread for the long journey and walk back to the tavern to spend the night. At dawn the next day, both groups left the town and begin heading out.
A day later, the Thundercats and the Dragon Shield made it to their destination, the Dwemer Tower located in large crater from an asteroid eons ago few miles from the shore line of the Valenwood border.
Both teams are amazed by it's size and have never seen anything made by the ancient Dwemer before or after they vanish following the Battle of Red Mountain many years ago.
"Is that it, Lion-O?" Wilykat said to Lion-O as he look at the tower.
"Yes. That's it. That's the tower." Lion-O said to one of the Thunder-Kittens.
"I guess there's more to the Dwemer than we though." Panthro said.
"I agree, general." Tygra said to the former Thunderian general.
"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's check it out." Wilykit said as both she and her brother start running down the crater as the other Thundercats and the Dragon Shield follow.
"Hey guys! Wait for me!" Snarf said as he try to follow but lost his footing and start to tumble down the crater.
The Thunderians and the Dragon Shield made it safely to the bottom while poor Snarf is dizzy from the fall.
"Are you okay, Snarf?" Pumyra said.
"Yeah. Never better." Snarf said to the healer as he regain his bearings and look at the top of the Dwemer structure. "Whoa."
"'Whoa' is right, Snarf. This is taller than the Tower of Omens." Cheetara said in assessment.
"Get ready everyone." Lion-O said to the others as they drew their respective weapons and started to enter to ancient building.
Before they reach the entrance, the Eye of Thunderia started glowing.
"Lion-O, danger." Leona said to her son.
"I know." Lion-O said to his mother as he place the sword on his face.
"Sword of Omens, give me Sight Beyond Sight." Lion-O said the the hilts expends and the Eye of Thundera and his eyes started glowing.
In the Swords reflection, the Lord of the Thundercats see an Elven army 700 strong, approaching the Tower. They look like High Elves, only their a little different. Like the High Elves, they're tall and slender, but the armor they're wearing are different. Plus they have small crystals on their belts.
"Lion-O, what did you see?" Snarf said to his friend.
"Yeah, what is it?" Tygra ask also.
Before Lion-O could answer, a voice shout,
"Stay where you are!"
Both groups turn around to see a large army of Elves near the edge of the crater, facing down on them.
Leading the army with an Elf with short black hair, green eyes and wearing a generals uniform and holding his helmet on his right arm.
"Are those High Elves?" Ani said as she look at the army.
"Look like it, but their armor is different from the ones the Thalmor wears." Saheen said to the mage.
"They don't look friendly." Snarf said to the others, knowing he got a bad feeling about those guys.
"Move away from the Tower. If you get any closer, I will shoot!" The general said to both groups.
"He's joking, right?" Tygra said, thinking that the Elven general is bluffing.
"I don't think he is, Tygra." Lion-O said as he tighten his grip on the Sword of Omens, knowing what will happen next.
"Archers, ready!" One of the archers said as the 58 archers line up, notch their arrows on their bows and pull back, ready to fire.
The general then put on his helmet as he prepare his men for battle.
"Guys, I think these elves are Alyeids. I was gonna tell you that before." Lion-O said to the groups.
"What? That's impossible. The Alyeids have been extinct for centuries." Cheetara said in disbelief.
"Yeah, their haven't been any Alyeids in Tamriel since the First Era." Leona also said in disbelief.
"I think someone should tell those guys about that." Wilykat said as he point to the army.
The general, seeing the groups not moving away from the tower, gave the order.
"Restrain them!"
With that, 486 swordsmen charge down the crater toward the Thunderians and mercenaries along with 364 mages.
Bedaf turn to the young king and said, "Lion-O? What should we do?"
Lion-O close his eyes for a few seconds before open them and said,
"Thunder! Thunder! Thunder! Thundercats! HOOOO!"
The Sword of Omens extends to it's full length as the Eye of Thundera glows and the Thunderian Symbol shot into the sky.
The others smiles as they prepare themselves for battle.
The general look at the symbol and is stunned by what he saw.
"The Sword of Omens." The general said to himself.
Soon, the Alyeid army clash with the two groups as Saheen block a sword strike with her daggers, while Panthro use the chains of his nun-chucks to block another attack, Tygra, Pumyra, the Thunder-Kittens and Dilelic dodge, Cheetara and Ani use their staffs, Bedaf use his axe, Leona use her shield and Lion-O with his sword.
Switching to offense, Panthro swing his nun-chucks and strike at the elf's helmet, knocking him out.
An Ayleid facing Bedaf use his Varla Stone as the long-sword's blade is surrounded by fire.
"That's new." Bedaf said in surprise. He never seen a crystal do something like that before.
The Nord attack the elf, but to his shock and surprise, as soon as he battle-axe hit the sword, the entire blade got sliced off its shaft.
Bedaf discarded his broken weapon and block a sword strike with his iron glove, but the Nord scream in pain from the heat and quickly remove the glove from his left arm as he dodges the attack before Dilelic rescue him as he shoot an arrow on the elf exposed neck, killing him.
Bedaf nod, graceful for the assistance as the Breaton nod back.
Ani use a fire spell to hold several swordsmen back and she use an ice spell to froze them.
An Ayleid mage fire an ice spike at the High Elf, but Ani use a barrier spell to block it and fire her own ice spike, impaling the mage.
Leona attack a few Ayleid swordsmen as one block the ex-queen's strike with his shield, while another attack and Leona block the attack with her shield. Using her strength, she knock both of her attackers back and use her sword to slash the elf, wounding elf as he feel to his knees. Leona then turn her attention to the other elf who charge at the former queen, but she move out of the way and strike her opponent on the side, wounding him as well.
Pumyra throw a bola at a mage, wrapping him up and fell to the ground. She then fire a few pellets from her crossbow, hitting some on their eyes and some on their armor joints. Though the pellets were not strong to penetrate their armor, it hits like crazy.
Cheetara use her speed to run through several Ayleid troops as she swing her staff around, knocking back. With one swing, she knock 4 mages and 5 swordsmen off their feet and fell to the ground moaning in pain.
The Thunder-Kittens meanwhile, throw their pellets which they explode close to a couple of Ayleid swordsmen, creating a smokescreen and causing the elves to cough. With them distracted, Wilykat pull out his weapon, which is a Thunderian sling as he spin it and throw it at one of them on their helmets, knocking them out. Wilykit attack the last few with her flute as she also knock them out as the twins high five each other on their victory.
Lion-O find himself surrounded by 7 attackers, but the young king charge at them and with one swing of the Sword of Omens, knock them all to the ground as they groan in pain.
Tygra use his whip to drive a few mages back. With a flick of his wrist, his weapon wrap around one of the mages and begin to swing it around. He soon let go, causing the mage to fly into his companions, knowing them down like pins.
Lastly, Saheen run pass several soldiers as she cut them with her daggers, wounding some and killing others.
The general, who watch all of this from the top of the crater, growled in annoyance.
"Why are we having difficulty with only 12 opponents?"
He then order the archers, "Archers, forward!"
"B-but general, our men are in the line of fire." A captain protest.
"Well, they better learn to dodge arrows." The general said to the captain, not wanting any excuses.
The captain just sigh. He couldn't risk his men's live, but he don't want to disobey his superiors order.
"Ready." The captain said as the archers notch their arrows.
"Aim."
The archers pull back on their bows.
"Fire!"
They then loose their arrows as the fly through the air toward their foes.
Bedaf punch an Alyeid soldier on the face as he saw the arrows coming toward him and the two groups.
"Ani, use a barrier, quickly!" Bedaf said to the High Elf.
"Got it." Ani reply as she rise her staff and thrust it to the ground as a purple light shine out of her staff and create a massive shield surrounding the Thunderians and the Dragon Shield.
The arrows bounced off the shield as soon as they were close enough, while the swordsmen use their shields to block the incoming arrows and the mages summon their own barriers to protect themselves.
The volley soon stops as Ani lower the barrier, the Alyeid mages remove their barriers and the Alyeid swordsmen recover and all three parties resume fighting.
Seeing that the volley didn't slow them down, the Alyeid general ordered,
"Reserve, attack!"
A reserve force of 285 swordsmen and 184 mages charge down the crater to help their brothers in arms.
Despite putting up a good fight, the Thunderians and Dragon Shield find themselves almost overwhelmed as they are slowly pushed to the Tower entrance.
"There's too many!" Cheetara said to Lion-O as she block a sword strike and shove her attacker to the ground.
"Lion-O, we need a plain to get out of this before we're completely overwhelmed." Tygra said in agreement as he drive several swordsmen back with his whip.
Lion-O strike down three Ayleid soldiers with a single strike from the Sword of Omens as lightning shot from the blade. He soon saw a large pipe with steam coming out of the rusted cracks. This gave the Thunderian king an idea as he turn to the High Elf mage.
"Ani, use a fireball on that pipe." Lion-O said to Ani as he point at the pipe.
"Are you sure, Lion-O?" Ani said to the young king of Thundera.
"I'm positive." Lion-O said as he block another sword strike, this one covered in ice from the Varla Stone.
Ani, knowing both that Lion-O is right and there is no other option, yell and unleash a fireball as it flew pass the army and hit the pipe, resolving in an explosion, knocking several Ayleids off of their feet.
"What the!?" The general said in shock as several more explosions erupts, causing his men to fall back to the top of the crater.
However, the plain prove too well as Ani's action cause a chain reaction as several parts of the Tower explode.
"Okay, maybe that wasn't the best idea." Lion-O said to himself as the others cover their eyes as more explosions occur.
"We gotta get out of here!" Snarf said as a more powerful explosion happen.
Before Lion-O could do something, a much more powerful explosion knock both the Thunderians and the Dragon Shield off of their feet and feel down several feet from the tower unconscious and their weapons scattered everywhere, even the Sword of Omens is thrust to the ground near it's owner.
The general and his army uncover their eyes to see the Dwemer Tower a complete mess of trusted metal, broken pipes and large chunks of debris. He clinch his fists, knowing that the secrets in that Tower is lost forever because of the two groups guarding it. He turn to the captain and said, "Take their weapons and lock them up with the others. And have a few mages help our wounded and dead."
The captain nod and order a few swordsmen to seize the Thuderians and Dragon Shield's weapons and carry them away. One Ayleid soldier is impressed by the Sword of Omens as he carried it in his hand.
"Be careful with that sword. It's the most powerful weapon in Tamriel." The captain said to the soldier as they continue to carry the heroes away from the destroyed Tower.
Lion-O wake up with a splitting headache from what felt like an eternity. After regaining his bearings, he discover that he's in a cage. Lion-O wasn't the only one as he saw his adopted brother, his mother and friends all in cages, and all awake.
"Well, glad your up." Said an unknown voice.
The young king turn to were the voice was coming from as he saw an Imperial man in his late 20s with brown eyes, and long brown hair tied in a pony tail. He also wore what can be describe as a Imperial messenger outfit with light brown boots. Next to the cage on the right, Lion-O saw a 25 year old Red Guard woman with gray eyes, messy black hair and a red head band. She also wore a Red Guard outfit. Lion-O can also see that she also have a tattoo on her back. The Thunderian king turn to the cage next to the Red Guard and to his surprise, it was the same person he saw in the version when he was inside the Book of Omens: Kaim Argonar. The only difference about him is that he now wear a steel armor with brown leather boots.
"Lion-O you're awake." Cheetara said to Lion-O, happy to see her king is alright.
"Yeah." Lion-O said as he rub the back of his head. "What happen?"
"The entire tower blew up and knocked us out. The next thing we know, we're in cages with these guys." Bedaf said to Lion-O as he point to the three individuals.
"Well, this is a fine mess you got us into little brother." Tygra said sarcastically to Lion-O.
"It was my call, Tygra. If I haven't, we would've been completely overwhelmed by those elves." Lion-O said, not in the mood to argue with his adopted older brother.
"Nonetheless, you've done a wonderful job. Us getting captured by elves." His older brother continue.
"Will you two drop it?" The Red Guard woman said in annoyance.
"Thank you miss..." Leona said to the Red Guard, but couldn't figure out her name.
"Seth. Seth Balmore." The woman now called Seth said to the former Thunderian queen.
"Seth Balmore. That's a nice name." Leona said, liking the name.
Seth smile at the complement as she introduce her other friend.
"That's Kaim Argonar. He and I are on an investigation by the Elder Council when we got ambushed by those elves."
"What investigation?" Wilykat said.
"That's none of your business." Kaim said to the Thunder-Kitten as he cross his arms.
"Um, you forgot to mention me." The Imperial said to the others.
"And you are?" Panthro said to the Imperial.
"Ignore him, he always complain." Seth said to the former general of Thundera.
"I have a name, it's Jansen. Jansen Friedh." The Imperial now called Jansen said to the Thunderians.
"I'm Lion-O, Lord of the Thundercats." Lion-O said as he introduce himself.
"I'm Leona, former queen of Thundera." Leona also introduce herself.
"I'm Wilykit and this is my brother, Wilykat." Wilykit said as she introduce herself and her brother.
"My name's Cheetara. And these are Tygra, Pumyra and Panthro." The former cleric introduce as well as introducing the prince, puma and general.
"Hi." Tygra said to Kaim, Seth and Jansen.
"I'm Bedaf Wind-Versed, leader of the Dragon Shield." Bedaf said as he introduce himself.
"I'm Aniussa, or Ani as everyone call me." The High Elf said as he introduce herself.
"My name is Saheen." The Argonian said as she also introduce herself.
"I'm Dilelic." The Breton archer said as he introduce himself as well.
"And I'm Snarf." Snarf said lastly from a smaller cage.
After everyone have introduce themselves, Jansen said,
"So, any ideas how are we gonna get out?"
"I have no idea. Those elves have took our weapons and equipment while we were out." Tygra said.
"How about we force our way out?" Lion-O said.
"We tried that. It didn't work." Panthro said to the Thunderian king.
"Whiskers." Lion-O said do himself, knowing that idea was a bust.
Kaim look at Jansen and said to the Imperial.
"Scared?"
"Uh, what do you mean?" Jansen said, not knowing what he meant.
"Are you afraid of what will happen next?" Kaim ask again.
"Yes. I'm afraid. Course I'd be lying to say I wasn't." Jansen admitted.
"I'm afraid too." Kaim also admitted, much to Jansen's surprise.
"You're kidding, right?"
"I don't blame him, we're scared too." Cheetara said to Jansen. "We never encounter these elves before."
"Yeah, we though they are wiped out many ages ago." Panthro said.
"Well, my ancestors were Alyeid, but I don't think they count." Dilelic said to the others.
Just then, the Alyeid general walk toward them with a few troops escorting him as he took of his helmet.
"I see that everyone's comfortable." He joked, earning glares from the Thunderians and the Dragon Guard.
"Oh, where are my manners, I am Inchel Uririe, general of the Ayleid army. I speak with her majesty's voice, Queen Ena the Fifth and you'll answer a few of my questions." The general now called Inchel said to the captured groups.
"Ask away, but no geography questions." Jansen said to the general.
"Quiet." Pumyra said to the Imperial, shutting him up.
"What were you doing in that Dwemer Tower? Are you Imperial spies?" The general ask.
"Do we look like spies for the Imperial Empire?" Tygra said, not believing what he just heard.
"I'll be asking the questions!" Inchel shout at Tygra.
"Hey! You can't talk to the prince like that!" Pumyra said to the Ayleid general. Clearly, he have no respect for royalty.
"'Prince'?" Inchel said confused as he approach the Thunderian Tiger.
"Ah, prince Tygra. This is a surprise" Inchel said as he laugh. "Tell me, what was it like to have your kingdom burn to rubble and your king slain?"
"Leave my brother alone!" Lion-O said to Inchel as a soldier point his spear to the Lord of the Thundercats as he turn to him and said,
"Well, if it isn't the 'Lord of the Thundercats' himself." Inchel said mockingly as he bow to the young king as his guards laugh.
"Oh, wait, last I heard, your kingdom was burn to the ground. That makes you Lord of nobody, really."
This strikes a nerve in Lion-O as he growled at the Ayleid general while gripping his hands on the iron bars. The other Thunderians are equally outraged by Inchels words. How dare he say that Lion-O is the Lord of nobody. He clearly don't know about the Code of Thundera, which still exist inside of them.
Before Inchel could ask another question, a soldier walk to him.
"General, sorry to intrude, but the shock-wave from the the Tower have damage several of our ships and the current tools to we have are not enough to repair them. We need to return home in order to make the necessary repairs."
"Hm, very well. Tell the others we're leaving. He leave at daybreak tomorrow." Inchel said to the soldier as he bow and left.
The general turn back to the groups and said to them,
"Since you won't tell me, we have a great deal of lousing tongues like yours. I'll know what you were doing on that Tower."
He then left as the army prepare to leave for home. Where ever that is.
"He seems like a nice guy." Jansen said, trying to ease the mood.
"So, what was your investigation?" Panthro said to Jansen, Seth and Kaim.
"Like I said, It's none of your business." Kaim said to the former general, not in the mood to talk.
"Come on, Kaim. It won't hurt to make new friends." Seth said to Kaim.
Kaim sight, knowing that Seth is right.
"I was charged by the Elder Council to investigate rumors of elves. I ask if they were High Elves, but they say it's a kind that's never been seen before." Kaim explained.
"Look like you have your answer." Wilykat joked before his sister elbow him in the side.
"Don't interrupt." Wilykit said to her brother.
"Anyway, I follow Kaim and ask him to meet Gonogora in his house the next day. Let just say, the first meeting didn't go well." Jansen said as he hold his neck with his hand, remembering the time when Kaim choke him option first meeting.
"Gongora? Who's he?" Pumyra said to the Imperial.
"Oh, he's one of the members of the Elder Council. And he ask me to come along with Kaim and Seth to keep an eye on them." Jansen continue.
"I see." Lion-O said interested by their story.
"Oh and that's not the best part. The best part is both Seth and Kaim have no memories, except for their names." Jansen reveal.
"You're kidding." Leona said, thinking if he was joking.
"No, he's not." Kaim said to the former queen of Thundera. "Me and Seth don't recall a thing from our past."
"But overtime, the memories return bit by bit." Seth also said.
"I think I recall a memory spell once." Ani said to the others.
"Memory spell?" Snarf said to the High Elf.
"Yes, one can remove or restore the memories of others from a few days to a few months." Ani said.
"It sounds like those two lost years of their past. Is that possible?" Cheetara said to Ani.
"Yes, but one need to be extremely powerful in the arcane. Even I'm not powerful to do that." Ani answer.
Just then, several Alyeid soldiers came to them and one of them said,
"Take them to the brig."
With that, they begin knocking out the three groups with clubs before they have a chance to react.
They are then put into a ship, which is a large three masted galleon with blue sails and a symbol of a gold star and a sword on the bottom. The insignia of the Alyeid.
The Alyeid fleet is made up of 12 sloops, 3 frigates, 6 galleys, 16 carracks and a galleon serving as the flagship. The fleet all made of elvish design. As one of the soldiers stated, some of the fleet was damaged from the shock-wave as some of the masts have fallen off, some have holes on their hulls and some have torn up sails.
At dawn the next day, the fleet begin setting sail West for home. Those who have their sails torn relay of oars to move them along the water. The elves manage to plug the holes til they can get fixed.
Inside the brig of the flagship, the Thunderians and Dragon Shield are in one cell, while Kaim, Jansen and Seth are in another. Most of the groups are awake, trying to find a way to escape while the three are asleep.
Cheetara can see that Kaim is having a bad dream by the troubled expression on his face and his clinched fist.
"Sounds like Kaim's having a nightmare." Tygra said.
"Yeah. Whatever it is, it looks intense." Snarf said in agreement.
A few seconds later, Kaim jolted wide awake as he hold out his hand, like he was reaching out for something. Realizing it was just a dream, he place his hand of his face. This isn't the first time he have the same dream. It's been happening for the past several days ever since he, Jansen and Seth left Cyrodiil.
"Lirum." Kaim said to himself as Seth open her eyes.
"I think I know what dream Kiam had." Lion-O said as he recall from the Book of Omens of the vision he saw.
Jansen woke up with a yawn as he got up and sit on a bench next to Kaim.
"Sounds like you just had a nightmare." Jansen point out.
"That's what I said." Tygra said to the Imperial.
"So, who's Lirum? Must be a girl's name, huh?" Jansen said to Kaim.
"I-I don't know." Kaim said to Jansen as he place his hand on his face again. "It's just that. It's very painful every time I have that dream."
The Thunderians and the Dragon Shield felt sorry for Kaim. He lost someone close to him, but was snatched away from him. Lion-O can also sympathize with the man due to losing his father during the Siege of Thundera. In his dream, he can still see the shock expression of Claudius face as he fell from the tree and he was helpless to do anything but watch him fall.
"Maybe you are remembering bits and pieces of your past." Jansen also pointed out as Kaim started to get up, only to stumble back to the bars of the cell.
"But it look like you don't want to remember, and yet the memories are starting to surface anyway." Jansen continue. "But for you, there's no point in remembering, huh? I swear, Kaim, you're such a pessimist."
"Jansen, what are you doing?" Leona said to Jansen.
"Hey, I'm just helping." Jansen said to the former queen.
"If you want to help, drop it." Seth said as she get up. "He can take his time and remember his past when he's ready."
"Thank you, Seth." Leona said to the RedGuard woman as she smiled.
"This my come at a bad time, but I know what dream Kaim is having." Lion-O said to Seth, much to both her and Jansen's surprise.
"Really?" Jansen said is surprise.
"What can you tell us?" Seth said to the Lord of the Thundercats.
"I'm sorry, but the dream was Kaim's not mine. He'll have to tell you that. Like Seth said, only when he's ready." Lion-O stated.
"Okay, your highness, if you insist." Jansen said as the rest try to figure out a way to escape, or go back to sleep.
However unknown to everyone, Jansen pulled from his pocket a small purple crystal, which was given to him by Gongora a day before he, Kaim and Seth left the Imperial City for their mission.
"If Kaim hates his memories, I guess I won't be using this." Jansen said to himself as he recall Gongora first giving him the crystal and what to do with it.
Flashback: 6 days ago
Gongora is an Imperial nobleman in his mid or late 30s with a brown beard and mustache, brown eyes and yellow hair. He's also a member of the Elder Council, or was before the Elder Council put him under house arrest and under surveillance from the city guards. The reason being was because Gongora was in charge of construction of an outpost to watch the border of Skyrim. Since the Nords won their Independence from the Imperials 100 years ago, Cyrodiil keep the borderlands to themselves, keeping a sharp eye out for any raids or military invasions. But none came. However, they lost contact with the outpost for sometime. Thinking it was an attack cause the last report was stated that the workers saw an unknown species of elves, the Council select Kaim Argonar, a mercenary and a swordsman with skills unmatched to investigate. They also sent Seth Balmore, a former pirate, or so people say since both her and Kaim have no memories of their pasts. Until Kaim and Seth returns, construction was suspended and Gongora was house arrested.
The Council member turn to Jansen, his messenger and mage and said,
"Listen Jansen, is either Kaim or Seth seem like they're regaining even a fraction of their memories, use this."
He then show Jansen a small purple crystal in his hand as Jansen pick it up.
"What is it?" Jansen ask his boss.
"It's a crystal of my own design. I call it, a mind crystal. Just throw it at them. That's you have to do, and their memories will grow muddled and sink back into darkness. If it comes to that, I'll triple your pay." Gongora explained.
Jansen look at the crystal, thinking about what Gongora just said.
"Let me think about that. Okay." Jansen said to Gongora as he put the crystal in his pocket.
End flashback
Jansen thought back to that day, and thinking about it now make him not to use the crystal on Kaim or Seth.
Pumyra notice Jansen was staring at the crystal and ask, "Hey Jansen, what's that?"
Jansen snap out of his thoughts and said to the puma, "This? Gongora gave it to me." He answered.
"It's you know, what you might called 'Being prepared'".
"So, how to it work?" Wilykat said, wondering how the crystal work.
"I'll show you." Jansen said to the Thunder-Kitten just as an Ayleid soldier walk into the brig to check on the prisoners.
Jansen walk to the edge of the cell and threw the crystal as it explode in a purple cloud.
"What the?" The soldier said as he fell to the floor unconscious as the cloud dissipated.
"You killed him!" Wilykit said to Jansen in shock.
"I don't know that could happen." Jansen defended.
"No, look, he's getting up." Bedaf said as he saw the soldier getting back up as he rub his head.
"Wha? What happen? What's going on?" The soldier ask the groups.
"Wow, that crystal really works." Tygra said amazed.
"What's going on? Has he forgotten abut his job?" Saheen said to Jansen puzzled.
"No, he temperately lost his memory. It'll come back in a few hours." Jansen said to the Argonian as he turn to the amnesiac soldier.
"Um, excuse me sir, there seems to be some kind of mistake."
"What kind of mistake?" The soldier said.
"Well, we were wrongly accused as spies and are locked up in here." Panthro said as he play along.
"Yeah, and that's were you come in. You're here to release the 'wrongly accused prisoners' from here." Jansen said to the soldier as the others nod in agreement.
The soldier seems to buy it as he tool out his keys and unlock the two cells, releasing the Dragon Shield, Thunderians, Jansen, Seth and Kaim.
"Thanks for you help, and sorry." Bedaf said to the soldier as the other run out of the brig.
"For what?" The amnesiac soldier ask.
He got his answer when Bedaf punched him in the face, knocking him out even though he would regain his memories. He then join up with the others who are congratulating Jansen.
"You sneaky dog." Tygra said as he playfully punch is arm.
"Nice work back there Jansen." Seth said.
"It was nothing." Jansen said.
"Nothing? You can charm the skin off of my people with that tongue of yours." Saheen said to Jansen.
"Though, I wonder why Gongora would give you that pearl in the first place." Lion-O said as he place his hand on his chin.
"That doesn't matter now, though I should thank you Jansen. Just this once. Right Kaim?" Seth said as he turn to Kaim.
"Yeah." Kaim said.
The three groups begin to walk out of the brig with Lion-O leading the way. The Lord of the Thundercats stop the groups when an Ayleid soldier who is on patrol walks by. After about 20 to 30 minutes of avoiding patrols and avoiding being spotted and send back to their cells, they made it a staircase as they walk to the upper level of the ship.
As they made it to the top, Kaim gasp and place his hand on his head.
"What's the matter?" Ani said to Kaim, wondering what's wrong.
"You know, I said this before and I'll say it again, but your memories are returning aren't they?" Jansen said to Kaim.
"Maybe." Kaim said to Jansen.
"I don't get it? Why you hate your memories, Kaim?" Wilykit said to Kaim.
"Yeah, since we've meet, you've been giving that look." Leona said to Kaim as well.
"I've got no use for the past." Kaim said, much to the Dragon Shield and Thunderians shock. How can Kaim say such a thing like that?
"Kaim don't say that. Memories make us who we are today." Snarf said to Kaim.
"Yes. If we refuse to reflect on the past, we won't be able to look to the future." Cheetara also said to Kaim.
"It's none of your business!" Kaim said as he walk ahead of the others.
"Sheesh, guess someone got up on the wrong side of the cell." Jansen said to himself.
"What you said back there, did you mean that?" Seth said to Cheetara.
"Yes, my master Jaga taught me that." Cheetara said to the RedGuard woman.
"Your master sound very wise." Seth said to the former cleric as she smiled.
"Thanks Seth." Cheetara replied as the groups head to a room guarded by 5 Alyeid soldiers who are guarding a chest.
"I don't get why we have to guard these weapons." One soldier complained to the others.
"Because the general told us to." Another soldier said to his comrade.
"Yeah, not to mention that one of them is the Sword of Omens itself. I remember hearing stories about it. I head that it cannot be used by evil hands." Another soldier said.
"I even heard that it can wipe out an entire army with a single swing." Yet another soldier said.
"How are we gonna get our weapons back with those soldiers guarding them?" Tygra ask his younger brother.
"I'm thinking." Lion-O said to Tygra as he try to think of a plain.
Lion-O soon get his wish when the captain from earlier walk into the room as the soldiers salute him.
"You five are dismissed." The captain said to them, much to their confusion.
"General's orders." The captain said again as they left the room, leaving only him.
"You can come out now." The captain said to the three groups, much to their surprise. "It's alright, I won't hurt you or take you back to the brig. You can trust me."
The Thunderians, Dragon Shield, Seth, Kaim and Jansen all walk into the room.
"Um thanks." Wilykat said to the Alyeid captain.
"Don't mention it." The captain said as he smiled to the Thunder-kitten.
"Why are you helping us?" Kaim said to the captain.
"Cause I don't think you or your companions are spies. If you were, you would have stolen documents on your persons." The captain said as he look out for trouble. "Go get your belongings, I'll keep watch for more guards."
The Thunderians, Dragon Shield, Seth, Jansen and Kaim don't need to be ask twice as Tygra open the chest.
Cheetara and Ani retrieve their staffs while Tygra and Wilykat retrieve their whips, Panthro retrieve his nun-chucks, Saheen retrieve her daggers, Wilykit and Kat retrieve their pellets, Pumyra retrieve her bolas and wrist-mounted crossbow, Dilelic retrieve his bow and arrows, Leona retrieve her sword and Lion-O retrieve the Sword of Omens.
Seth, Jansen and Kaim also retrieve their weapons. Seth have a RedGuard sword with jewels on the hilt, Jansen have a gold staff with a red gem on top of it and Kaim have a steel sword with a scabbard.
"So, captain-" Pumyra said before the captain interrupts.
"Please, I have a name. Aire Perrel. Captain of the 46th Magic Troopers." The captain now called Aire said as he introduce himself.
"'Magic Troopers', that a catchy name." Tygra said, liking the name.
"Thanks." Aire said as he smiled. "Come on, I'll take you back to your cells. We'll be heading home in a few days."
"Where is your home, captain?" Wilykat asked.
"It's on the Cathneoquey island." Aire answered, much to both the Thunderians and Dragon Shield surprise.
"The Cathneoquey island? But that place is nothing but a wasteland." Lion-O said.
"That's what everyone say. But the Ayleid have been living there since the First Era." Aira revealed.
"How is that possible?" Kaim said disbelief.
"You'll have to ask our queen. Come on." Aire said as the Dragon Shield, Thunderians, Jansen, Seth and Kaim follow the captain back to their cells. As they walk, many questions are stirring in their minds: How did the Alyeid ended up on an island hundred of miles from Tamriel? Why have no one try to find them? Are they still the slave loving elves from the old stories? Since when did the Alyied have their own ruler? All of those questions will be answered once they set foot in the Alyeid new home.
4 days later after traveling through rough seas, the fleet made it back home to Cathneoquey Island. The island is dotted with Ayleid structures, one bear a striking resemblance to the White-Gold Tower back in Cryodiil. The Galleon dock in the port to unload her troops and prisoners while the rest head to the dry dock to make repairs.
The Thunderians, Dragon Shield, Seth, Kaim and Jansen have handcuffs on their wrists, while Snarf have a chain around his neck and escorted by several soldiers. As they step to the dock, all the groups are stunned by what they saw, Ayleid structures all well preserved unlike the ruins back in Tamriel. They even saw children playing around and old folks, much to their surprise. No one have ever seen an Elven child before.
"Move it." One soldier said, urging the groups to continue moving into the city.
"Lion-O, this is incredible. We're one of the first people to see living Ayleid and see their home first hand." Cheetara whispered to Lion-O.
"I agree Cheetara." Lion-O whispered back. He saw ruins then he was in the Book of Omens, but to see Ayleid structures in their prime, it's truly a sight to behold.
Inside one structure, which is a palace, the leader of the Ayleid Elves look out the window. She is a tall female elf with short white hair, light blue eyes, wearing an Elvish armor with gold trimmings, three small jewels, and a boots. She also wears a crown, which bears a resemblance to the one found in the ruins of Lindai. She also wears a three-pointed tiara when she's giving a speech, or when she is walking among her people.
She is Ena the 5th, queen of the Liavalur Dynasty. Her family have been ruling since her ancestors, the Liavalurs, first settled on Cathneoquey Island eons ago. For generations, her family have ruled with compassion, fairness and love. But something was troubling her. She can sense danger within her court, mainly by her general. Inchel was giving permission by her on an 'Expedition' to Tamriel. Although she know that was a lie as an excuse to gain power for the throne.
She toughs was interrupted when a servant enter her room and bowed to her.
"Excuse me your majesty. General Inchel and the expatiation fleet have returned. He also brought prisoners with him."
The queen turn to the servant and said,
"Tell the general and the army to assemble in the Great Hall along with the prisoners."
"Yes, your majesty." The servant said as he bow and left, leaving the queen to herself once again.
At the same time in the market place where citizens buy and sell goods, one Ayleid working an alchemy stand is helping two human children, a 12 year old girl with blue eyes, brown hair tied in a bun and wearing a green dress with brown shoes, and a 10 year old boy with brown eyes, brown hair tied in two small pig tails and wearing a tan shirt with light gray paints and brown shoes.
"Here to are Cooke. A bottle of Blessed Thistle, pearl and crushed Rock Warbler Egg like you requested." The Alchemist said as he handed the bottle to the girl now called Cooke as he grab the bottle.
"Thanks Hastos." Cooke said to the alchemy as she smiled. "I'm happy your able to help. You've always been so kind to us."
"Your mother taught me the use of alchemy. It's the least I can do to return the favor." Hastos said to the young girl. "By the way, how's she doing?"
"She's still in bed. The doctor gave her a medicine to help slow down her illness." The boy said as he frowns.
"Oh. I'm sorry to hear that Mack. I just hope she'll live to see another day." Hastos said to the kids in pity.
"Us too Hastos." Cooke said as she put the bottle in her satchel. "Well, we better go. Mom would need this. Come on Mack."
"Right behind you." Mack said as the two siblings begin to run out of the market place.
"Send you mother my regards." Hastos called to them.
"We will." Cooke said as she and her younger brother wave at him and continue running out of the market place and back home.
Back at the palace inside the Great Hall, general Inchel and his army are lined up in formation on either side of the room from aisle to wall along with Aire. The Thunderians, Dragon Shield, Jansen, Seth and Kaim and placed in front of an elvish throne, waiting for their judgment.
Then Ena enters the room from the left side as she walks to the throne. All 3 groups are surprised by what they're seeing. None of them have seen an Ayleid queen before. Though Lion-O saw an Ayleid king in the Book of Omens, but he doesn't count since he became a living dead. They started to bow before her.
Ena look at the army as the general, captain and soldiers all bow before her. The queen nodded to a group of musicians as they begin to play their instruments.
"I am Ena the 5th. Queen of the Ayleids of this kingdom and 23rd ruler of the Liavalur Dynasty. My family have ruled over this island for generations. You're all here for a reason, is it not?" Ena said to the prisoners.
Lion-O stood up before Ena and said,
"Your majesty. I am Lion-O, Lord of the Thundercats. King of Thundera. My companions and I were brought here cause your general think we are spies for Cyrodiil. But I assure you, we're not spies. If we were, we would've been hanged as one. We meant no harm to you or your people. But your general attacked us without warning. Me and my friends were defending ourselves."
"It's true your highness." Ani said as she stood up too. "We were on a quest to enter an ancient Dwemer tower when your soldiers attack."
"Though we were heavily outnumbered, we manage to hold our ground." Panthro also said as he stood up as well.
"So whatever punishment you have for us, we would gladly accept it." Leona said as she and the other Thunderians, the Dragon Shield, Seth, Jansen and Kaim lower their heads, awaiting their fates.
Inchel silently chuckled, wanting to see what punishment the foreigners would get. But that never came as Ena place a hand on Lion-O's chin and lift his head as the two made eye contact.
"Lion-O, Lord of the Thundercats, you and your companions fought bravely against fearful odds. And I would never punish a groups of brave warriors such as yourselves. Instead I'm granting your freedom."
The 3 groups are speechless by what they heard. An Elven queen they hardly know show them mercy and grant them freedom. Aire smiled at his queen for her kindness and mercy while Inchel growled that the foreigners wasn't put to death.
Ena gave a nod as several soldiers hold out their Varla Stones on the cuffs as they briefly glowed and the cuff fell off one by one. Snarf's chain also fell off.
"You are no longer prisoners, but guests in my kingdom. You may go freely were ever you like." Ena said to the groups.
Ena then wave his hand to the general who nod and said to the army,
"Men, dismissed!"
The army turn about faced and march out of the Great Hall as the general and captain follows, leaving only the queen.
"I'm sure you all have questions, and I can provide them to you tonight." Ena said to them.
"Really? What's happening tonight?" Jansen ask the Ayleid queen.
"A banquet to celebrate the founding of this island. You'll all be the guest of honor." Ena said as she begin to leave.
"Your free to go and don't don't be late for tonight." Ena said as she went back to her chamber.
"Well, that was...interesting." Tygra said as he rub her wrists.
"Yeah. Being invited to an Eleven banquet. You don't get that often." Wilykat said as Kit nod in agreement.
"So what now?" Bedaf said, wondering what to do next.
"I guess we explore." Lion-O answered. "We're strangers in a strange land, though it won't hurt to look around and see what this place has to offer."
"Good idea Lion-O." Seth said, liking the idea.
"Aye." Saheen said in agreement as they all begin to exit the Great Hall and begin to leave the palace.
In her chambers, Ena watch the groups heading out into the city as she smiled. She once again show valiant leadership and allow newcomers to explore her kingdom.
Just then, Inchel enter the chamber and bow before his queen.
"You wish to see me, your highness?" The general ask.
"I did." Ena said as she turn to him. "When you ask for my permission for an exploration, I never said anything about sending my troops."
"I was necessary your majesty." Inchel said to Ena.
"Not to me. You attack without warning. Not to mention you viewed them as spies when you lack any proof." Ena argued.
"I was gonna interrogate them for answers before I was summoned." Inchel said to the queen.
"General, we never interrogate someone we just meet." Ena continue to argue.
"That's because you don't have the will to do what's necessary for our people. Your reign as queen has weaken our forces to mere town guards. Some day, we'll march to Cyrodiil and takes back what's rightfully ours! The Alyied will once again be a powerful empire as it was in the past!" The general said to the queen.
Ena is aware of Inchel's ambition to reclaim their ancient home, but what would mean returning to the old ways were their forefathers enslaved the race of man and they conspired with the Deadra. She remember reading about how Man rise up and overthrow the Ayleid, which they deserved and exiled from their former capital.
Since then, her ancestors vow to make up for their past sins by abolishing slavery, and banned working with the Deadra. And to honor the younger races, they pray to the Aedra to strip the Ayleid of their longevity so that they'll know what's it's like to be mortal. Ena have vow to uphold that tradition and to one day return to Tamriel as friends to the other races. However, some of the elves wish to return to the 'glory days' of the old Ayeid empire and Inchel is one of those elves.
"Inchel, you know we change our ways to make up for the mistakes of our forefathers, but I will not heard anymore about 'reclaiming what is lost'. The past is the past and as long as I'm queen, I would continue to do what's right. Mention this again and I'll have no choice but to release you of command of the army. Is that clear general?" Ena said to the general, making his words final.
Inchel angrily clinch his fists at the queen, but calm down as he sight and bow before her.
"As clear as starlight my queen." Inchel said to Ena.
"Good. Your dismissed." Ena said as she turn back to the window.
Inchel walk out of the chamber and mumbles to himself in an angry tone.
"Someday my 'queen', I'll be taking over his kingdom and reclaim what is ours and have always been ours."
Meanwhile, the Thunderians, Dragon Shield, Seth, Jansen and Kaim are exploring the city. Most are amazed that the Ayleids have survived this long without anyone knowing about them until now. Panthro saw a training camp where several elves practice how to use a sword, bow, shield, mace, spear and lance. Cheetara saw a blacksmith and his apprentice making tools, horseshoes as well as repairing broken armor and weapons. Tygra saw a jeweler looking at a ruby while the other jewelers craft necklaces, rings and amulets. The Thunder-Kittens saw a groups of elves entertaining a small crowd of Alyeid children as one of the elf juggle balls, one use her fire to create shapes, and one pulled a gold coin from a boy's ear, much to his surprise and amazement.
"It's amazing that for years we though the Ayleid were long died." Lion-O said.
"And yet here we are in a city of elves." Pumyra said to Lion-O.
"Yeah." Snarf said in agreement.
They soon explore the marketplace were barkers sell goods like meat, vegetables, herbs for cooking and healing, bread, clothes, even alchemy supplies. On the alchemy stand, a few soldiers are talking to the owner about something.
"Look, I pay my taxes for the month." The owner said one of the troops.
"The tax just doubled so now you have to pay up." The soldier said to the owner.
"Since when?" The owner said.
"This morning. There's also a small matter we need to talk about, those kids you keep talking to. They're bad news." The soldier said as he mention Mack and Cooke.
"You don't understand, their mother is sick. I was doing my job by gave them an elixir." The owner said, trying to reason with the soldiers, but his plead fell on deaf ears.
"Does it look like I care? Ether you pay up and stop selling your wares to those foreigners or their will be consequences." The soldier said as he grip the handle of his sword.
"What's going on here?" Kaim said, causing the soldiers and the alchemist to see the Thunderians, Dragon Shield, Jansen, Kiam and Seth walking toward them.
"This is none of your concern." Another soldier said to them.
"I'm afraid it is our concern when you start bullying him." Lion-O said to the solider.
"Says who?" Another soldier mocked.
"Says the prisoners who your queen just pardoned." Wilykat said.
This made the soldiers gasped in surprise.
"Now unless you don't want to get in trouble with your queen, I suggest you leave him alone." Tygra said to the soldiers.
One of the soldier sigh and said to the owner.
"Consider yourself lucky, Hastos. But the next time, pay up." The soldier said as he and the others walk away.
Hastos sigh in relief and said to his saviors, "Thank you friends. Those goons have been causing trouble for days."
"Does this happen a lot?" Jansen asked.
"I'm afraid so. Those soldiers are under general Inchel's command. They can get away with pretty much anything." Hastos said to the groups.
"Have you try retorting this to queen Ena?" Leona also ask.
"Yes. Most store and stand owners have and every time Ena order his general to stop, but he keeps breaking her word. Just because he's general, doesn't mean he can do what ever he want." Hastos said once more.
"I agree. A general shouldn't question his ruler's word, but to honor it." Pantro said as he seen this happen before with Grune.
"Aye. You seem to know a lot." Hastos said to the former Thunderian general.
"I have experience." Panthro said, not one to brag.
"They mention foreigners. Who are they talking about?" Seth ask the alchemist.
"They're talking about Mack and Cooke. Their mother live next to the docks. She haven't been feeling well as of late and I'm doing my best to help." Hastos said to them.
"Where's the docks anyway?" Cheetara asked.
"It's half a mile to the West of here. Once there, turn South-East. That's there the houses are. You can't miss it." Hastos said as he gave them directions.
"Thanks mr… I'm sorry what's your name?" Pumyra said to Hastos.
"Hastos Lufiel at your service." Hastos said as he introduce himself.
"Thanks for the direction Hastos." Saheen said as the three groups begin to leave.
"Oh, Hastos. Ena mention a banquet tonight, when is that?" Bedaf said.
"It's start as soon as the sun have completely set." Hatos said.
"We'll remember that. Thanks." Dilelic said as they left.
With the directions given by Hastos, the three groups walk to the dock where Ayleid fishing ships unload their bounty of fishes and return to the ocean to catch more. The smell of fishes is heavy in the air as fishermen claimer with the citizens. The groups turn South-East and 2 miles away lies a small group of houses, some haven't been fix for years while some have been.
"Man, this place could use fixing up." Snarf said as he look at the state of the houses.
"I agree Snarf." Lion-O said to his small friend in agreement.
They soon came across a field of flowers no one have ever seen before as they saw a boy and a girl, barely in their teens looking at them. Lion-O look at the flowers and realize they are the same ones he saw from the vision in the Book of Omens. Mack and Cooke gave their mother the elixir and decide to look after the flower for a little while.
"Huh, those are an unusual color for a flower." Seth said in amazement.
"No kidding. Girls does like flowers. Say, mind if I pick one?" Tygra said as he try to pick one of the flowers. But before he can get one, Cooke slap the prince's hand as he shot in pain and pull it back.
"Don't pick them." Cooke said to Tygra. She hates it when people try to pick these flowers.
Tygra rub his sore hand and said to the girl.
"Next time warn someone before doing that. Okay kid?"
"Shut up stripes!" The Cooke snapped, ignoring that the former prince said to her.
"'Stripes'?" Tygra said feeling offended with Cheetara, Pumyra and Lion-O laugh at Tygra's new nickname. It's funny because it's true.
Leona got an her knees as well as Seth as they look at the flowers.
"Do you two plant these yourselves?" Seth ask, wondering if the kids planted the flowers.
"No, they're just flowers that around here." The Cooke answered to the newcomers. "Mom said they're really rare. What they're called again?" Cooke ask her brother.
"They're called Tenderflora." Mack answered.
"Right. What he said." Cooke said to Seth and Leona.
"Tenderflora. That's a nice name." Leona said to the kids.
"Mom love these flowers. They never wilt. She says they make people happy too." Cooke said to the two. As Cooke explain, Kaim is looking at the flowers. He have seen this kind before but from where, he can't recall.
"Mom feels sorry for them since their so pretty." Cooke continue to explain.
"So people just pick them whenever they want to?" Leona ask Cooke as she recall this stuff happen before.
"Yeah, how do you know?" Mack said to Leona.
"Let just say my kingdom was like the flowers and people were jealous for it's beauty so they burned it to the ground." Leona explained.
"Oh. I'm sorry to hear that." Cooke said sympathetically.
"You know, I bet there are lots of people out there who would pick a flower if they knew it could make them happy." Seth said to the kids.
"It's because they're growing here that makes you happy." Mack said, understanding what the Redguard woman said.
"You're right." Seth said to Mack.
You know, if you leave them here, then they can make everyone happy." Cheetara said to Mack and Cooke.
"You're the only one who's ever said that. You must be a good person!" Cooke said as Cheetara laugh.
"Why thank you." Cheetara said, taking that as a complement. "What's your name?"
"I'm Cooke and this is my little brother, Mack." Cooke said as she introduce herself and her brother.
"Those are nice names." Seth said. "I'm Seth. Nice to meet you."
"I'm Leona." The former queen said as she introduce herself.
"Names Tygra." Tygra also introduce himself.
"I'm Snarf." Snarf said as he introduce himself as well.
"I'm WilyKat and this is my sister, Kit." Wilykat said as he introduce himself and his twin sister.
"I'm Lion-O. Lord of the Thundercats." Lion-O said to the kids. This cause Mack and Cooke to gasp as the two bow before Lion-O.
"Your majesty. I didn't know you were a Lord of the Thundercats." Mack said to Lion-O, much to his and the others surprise. How do they know he was Lord of the Thundercats?
"Please you two, uh, rise." Lion-O said as Mack and Cooke stop bowing.
"Anyway, I'm Cheetara." Cheetara introduce herself trying to ease the awkward moment.
"I'm Pumyra." Pumyra said as she introduce herself as well.
"I'm Bedaf Wind-Versed, leader of the Dragon Shield and these are my companions, Saheen, Ani and Deilelc." Bedaf said as he introduce himself and his team.
Seth was about to introduce Kaim when he notice a familiar look on his face.
"Kaim?" Seth said, but he didn't answer as he continue to look at the flowers. He then place his hand on his head as a few pieces of his memory return to him.
"They were blooming." Kaim said.
"What!?" Jansen said in surprise.
"Back then." Kaim answer. Lion-O, the Thunderians and Dragon Shield knew what Kaim means since Lion-O told them of what he saw back in the Book of Omens, but decide to keep their mouths shut. He need to figure it out for himself.
"Back what?" Jansen said to Kaim, wanting to know.
"Back where? Back when?" Seth also said, eagerly wanting to know as well.
Before Kaim can answer, the Sword of Omens started to glow, danger is near.
"Danger." Lion-O said as he begin to pull out the Sword of Omens before everyone heard a horse nigh as they saw 12 Ayleid soldiers on horse back and 5 of them on foot as they approach them.
They stop near them as one of the soldier said,
"Hey, it's those groups the queen released."
"Yeah, they look suspicious, what are you characters up to?" Another soldier said to the groups. The only answer he got were scowls from all three groups. They know that these soldiers are trouble like the ones they saw bullying Hastos.
"Hey! Stay back!" Cooke said, getting the soldiers attention as she and Mack run in front of them. "Watch out for the flowers! Please."
"Flowers?" One soldier said. What do she mean by flowers.
"If you guys are looking for a fight, I suggest you look somewhere else." Saheen said to the troops, sensing trouble.
"Yeah otherwise you go back the way you came." Snarf said to the soldiers as well.
Another soldier look at the Tenderfloras and said to his companion.
"Look. Those are Tenderfloras. You know, the kind that makes you happy?"
"I heard good things about those." A soldier said as he dismount his horse and walk toward the flowers.
Before the soldier could grab a flower, Cooke stand his way with her arms open wide blocking the flowers.
"No! You can't have them!" Cooke protest.
The soldier unfortunately ignore her plea as he laugh.
"Out of the way kid!" The soldier said as he shove Cooke to the ground.
"Cooke! Are you okay?" Cheetara said as she check on the girl.
Cooke nod as the former cleric help her up.
The Thunderians and Dragon Shield are outraged. First a group of soldiers bully a stand owner for taxes he can't afford to pay, now these guys treated children over flowers? This is going too far.
"Picking on kids? That's low." Tygra said in disgust before several cavalrymen drew their swords at the groups.
"Listen up. The Ayleid military has the right to seize anything that grows on Cathneoquey soil. Including those flowers." Another soldier said.
"On who's authority?" Wilykit said to the soldier.
"General Inchel's authority." Another soldier said to the Thunder-Kitten.
"Their just a bunch of flowers." The soldier mock as he try to pick one again, only this time, Mack stand in his way with a glare on his face.
"Out of my way." The soldier said as he place his hand of his sword.
"No." Mack replied in defiance.
"I said, out of my-" Before the soldier can drew his blade, Cooke ran up and kick the soldier in the face as he fell to the ground.
Whoa." Snarf said in surprise.
"I'll say, For a kid, she got guts." Panthro said.
"You idiots are the ones who should get out of the way!" Cooke said to the soldiers. "Your breath is so bad it wilts the flowers!"
"That's not how you address a soldier you brats." A soldier said as he prepare to teach the kids a lesson.
However, Lion-O and Tygra stood in front of Mack and Cooke, seeing just enough of the soldiers abuse.
"You better be very sure you want to do this, cause we got their backs." Tygra said as Lion-O nod in agreement. This feels like deja-vu back in Thundera when the two fight a mob to defend a group of prisoners.
"Same with us." Seth said as she, Kaim and Jansen walk to their side. The Dragon Shield and the remaining Thunderians also walk next to them.
The Ayleids prepare themselves for a fight as some use their Varla Stones as their blades are covered in fire and ice.
"Let's teach them a lesson!" A soldier said as they charge at them.
"Now you see me, now you don't." Tygra said as he crack his whip turning him invisible.
"Where he go?" One soldier said.
'Now you don't see me, now you do." Tygra said as he turn visible and round house several foot soldiers, knocking them down.
Two cavalrymen charge at Lion-O as he draw the Sword of Omens as it extends to it's full length.
The young king let out a yell as he swing his sword shooting out lightning, knocking the riders off of their horses.
Pumyra fire several pellets at the charging cavalrymen, knock them off one by one.
A soldier charge a Jansen as he unleash an ice spell freezing his feet in place.
Panthro whip out his nun-chucks as he knock several swordsmen who try to attack him.
Leona block a soldiers attack before another soldier crashed into him, knocking them both out. The former queen look and saw that Bedaf threw that soldier as she nod at him and he nodded back.
A few Ayleid soldier surround Cheetara, which was a big mistake as she knock them all out with a single swing of his staff.
Seth dodge a sword swing as she strike at her attacker with his her sword and block another attack.
Kaim charge at a few swordmen as he was about to strike before…
"What's going on here?"
The 4 attacking groups stop and saw Aire with several soldiers behind him. The soldiers who were recovering salute to their captain as if nothing have happen.
"Captain Aire." A soldier said in surprise. "What brings you here?"
"I was reported of a disturbance in this area. Explain yourself soldier!" Aire said with authority in his voice.
"I was gonna pick a flower, but those kids and foreigners got in the way." The soldier said to the captain.
"Is this true?" Aire ask the three groups.
"No. They attack Mack and Cooke and we came to their aid." Seth said to Aire.
"It's true. They harm those kids over the flowers Mack and Cooke are protecting." Leona also said.
Aire glare at the soldier as he started to sweat. "The queen would love to hear about this. Get out. All of you, leave!"
The soldiers don't need a second guess as they quickly left the area as the Thunderians, and Dragon Shield laugh.
"That's right, you better run you cowards!" Tygra said to the fleeing soldiers.
Satisfied, Aire turn to Mack and Cooke as they two salute to him.
"At ease you two." Aire said as the two relax. "You alright?"
"We are now thanks to our new friends." Mack said as he motion to the three groups.
"It's no problem. We face this kind of stuff before." Lion-O said as the Sword shrinks back to it's dagger size and place it back in the gauntlet.
"I'm graceful you guys are able to help. Those soldiers are getting more and more tyrannical by the day." Aire said.
"We notice." Jansen said to the captain as he rub the back of his head.
"If you like, we can take you guys to our house. It's the least we can do after you help us protect the flowers." Cooke said to the groups.
"That's a wonderful Idea Cooke." Cheetara said liking the idea.
"Well, I'm going back on my patrol. Take care Mack and Cooke and tell you mother I said 'hi'." Aire said as he and his men walk to resume their patrol.
"We will." Mack said as he and Cooke wave to the captain.
"The captain knows your mom?" Wilykit said to Cooke.
"Yes. Believe it or not. He was once mom's teacher when she was my age. He taught her how to use a sword, bow, spear and ride a horse." Cooke explain to Wilykit.
"Wow, your mom sounds cool." Wilykat said in amazement.
"You said you'll take us to your home, right Cooke?" Pumyra said to the girl.
"Yes. Though we don't have much, but we'd love it if you come to our house." Cooke said.
"We'd love that. Thank you." Leona said to Cooke.
"How about you Kaim?" Bedaf said to Kaim.
"We should keep moving." Kaim said.
"Come on Kaim. It won't hurt to relax for a little while." Jansen complain.
"Please?" Mack said to Kaim as he grab his arm and give him the puppy dog eyes.
Kaim sigh in defeat and nod to the groups.
"Then it's settled. Cooke, which way is to your house?" Lion-O said to Cooke.
"It's straight down this path til you see the ocean then turn left. Our house have a blue door. You can't miss it." Cooke said as she point the direction.
The two siblings lead the way as the Thunderians, Dragon Shield, Kaim, Jansen and Seth follows.
After about 20 minutes of walking, the groups made it to the edge where they saw the vast ocean. To their left is a small two story house with a blue door on it like Cooke describe.
"That's your home?" Leona said to Mack.
"Yep. That's home. Come on, you'll love our mother. She's the nicest person you'll meet." Mack said as he and Cooke enter the house as Ani, Cheetara, Lion-O, Pumyra, Kaim, Snarf, Seth and Jansen enter while Bedaf, Saheen, Leona, Tygra, the Thunder-Kittens, Panthro and Dilelic wait outside cause of the small space. What await inside would caught everyone off-guard.
Mack and Cooke run inside their house as they greet their mother who is laying in bed. She is a 25 year old woman with long brown hair, blue eyes and wearing a beautiful blue and green dress with a gold necklace around her neck.
"Hey mom we're home!" Cooke greets her mom as she slowly open her eyes as she wake up from her nap and smiles at her children.
"Mom, we brought guests!" Mack said as he motion several of the groups.
Ani take a look at the woman and can tell right away that she's sick. Very sick.
"Hi." Cheetara greets Mack and Cooke's mom.
"Good day." Snarf said as he hops on her bed.
"Good afternoon." Seth also greet the woman with a smile.
"Greetings." Lion-O said as he bow to her.
"Hello." Punyra also greet the woman as she smiles.
"Hey there." Jansen also greet.
"Mom, these people are from Tamriel." Cooke explained. "They help protect the Tenderfloras from the soldiers, though Aire help get rid of them. He also said hi."
The woman is pleased that her old teacher manage to solve the problem.
She then look at Kaim and gasp in surprise. Could it be? After all these years?
She then hold out her hand to Kaim.
"Mom? What's wrong?" Cooke said to her mother, not knowing what's happening.
"The flowers. They let me see you one last time." The woman said to Kaim.
Most of the groups are confused what the woman just said as a few more memories return to Kaim.
"The flowers. They brought us together." Kaim said as he hold out her hand
"Oh, father." The woman said, much to the shock and surprise of everyone present in the room.
"Father!?" Seth, Snarf, Cheetara and Cooke said at the same time.
Lion-O is also surprise by this revelation. If the woman said Kaim is her father, than that could mean...she is Lirum all grown up.
Tears started to appear in his eyes. "Lirum? Is that you?"
Kaim then grip Lirums hand as a flood of memories rushes back to him as he fell to his knees and scream in agony.
Most are shock to what's happening to Kaim as his memories all came back to him at once.
Flashback: 15 years ago
Kaim was the most well known and respected general on the Imperial Legion. He was also in command of his own legion: The 56th Dragon Legion. He was loved by his soldiers and the people of Cyrodiil. But the emperor at the time Breric Mantndia, was jealous of Kaim for his popularity with the people. A fear started growing within him. A fear that Kaim would rally the people against him and overthrow him. He need to get rid of him to keep his power, but how?
The answer come in the form of Gongora, who told the emperor about framing the beloved general for a crime he didn't commit.
The emperor then pray to the Deadric Prince of Nightmares Vearmina for a small sliver of her power. She agreed and place it in a small glass bottle and gave it to one of his spies and ask him to put it next to Kaim's daughter's nose and let the magic does all the work.
The spy know that this is wrong to harm a child, but he have a duty to his emperor.
Later that very night when Kaim and his family are asleep, the spy sneak into the house and into Lirum's room as he quietly approach the little girl. As he crept closer and closer to the girl, his heart keep telling him to stop and think about what's he's doing. He know that this is wrong, but if he failed, unspeakable punishment will happen to him and his own family and for their sake, he have no choose but to go through with this.
"Akatosh, Divines, forgive me for what I'm about to do." The spy said to himself as he stop near the bed and place it next to her nose as instructed.
The spy then uncorked the glass bottle and as the nightmare went into Lirum's nose and start giving her unpleasant dreams.
Lirum toss and turn as the spy run out of the house as fast as he could as Lirum awake with such a scream it woke up her parents as they went to her room to check on her. However in her mind, she see her parents as some kind of monsters as she run out of the house as fast as she could as Kaim and his wife race after her.
Lirum stop near a cliff side where Tenderfloras where blooming. She play here all the time growing up. The little girl catch her breath as she look at the flowers for comfort.
"Lirum!" Kaim exclaimed to her daughter as both parents stop near her.
Kiam hold out his hand and slowly walk towards for daughter.
"Lirum, It's me, your father. I'm not gonna hurt you." Kaim said softly as he try to calm Lirum down.
However it failed cause Lirum still see one of the monsters approaching her as she back away closer and closer to the edge of the cliff.
"No. Stay away!" Lirum said to the monster with fear in her voice. She stop a few inches from the edge as a few pebbles fell into the ocean below.
Seeing her daughter in danger, Kaim run as fast as he could to her and stretch out his hand.
But without warning, Lirum lost her footing and started to fall into the ocean. Kaim try to grab her hand, but it was too late.
"LIRUM!" Kiam shouted as he and his wife watch as their only child disappear into the crashing waves below.
Kaim fell to his knees and cries in despair seeing that he failed to save her daughter. His wife also cries as he hug her for comfort. Kaim then saw Gongora on a horse as he smirk knowing his plain is working as he ride away from the scene.
The following day after that tragic night, things go from bad to worse for Kiam as a group of soldiers, some of them friends to Kaim barge into his house and arrest both him and his wife for crimes against the Empire and the 'murder' of his daughter. The two are then put on trial and are found guilty. Kaim said to Breric that their deaths would inspire others to rally against him. However, the emperor have a much curler fate than death: erasing Kaim and his wife's memories. He figure if they can't remember anything say their name, they'll no longer be a threat to the Ruby Throne.
The soldiers of the 56th Legion who are loyal to Kaim throughout his many battles face a choice: pledge their allegiance to the Empire or suffer the same fate as Kaim and his wife. Although most see Kaim as a hero of the Imperium and don't believe that Kaim would ever harm his family, they have little choice to no swore their swords to the emperor.
Following this act of injustice, the emperor order Kaim's name to be gouged and his statues smashed so that no one will ever know that he exist. However, some soldiers remain loyal to their general and hid his armor and a handful of his achievements away before the emperor could destroy them. They then went into hiding, believing that one day Kaim would return to right this terrible wrong.
End Flashback
Kaim open his eyes with all of his memories restored as he look at his daughter.
"You..survived." Kaim said as Lirum just nod.
He then turn to Jansen who jumped by Kaim's scowl.
"What? What are you looking at me like that?" Jansen said to Kaim.
"Gongora. He was there that night." Kaim said. This cause most of the group to gasp in surprise. Gongora, the member of the Elder council was responsible for his daughter's disappearance?
Kaim then scoop up his daughter he place a hand of his cheek.
"I missed you. So much." Lirum said with tears of joy in her eyes happy to see her dad again.
Kiam look down in shame. "I'm so sorry I couldn't save you before." He said, feeling guilty about not being able to save her all those years ago.
"I forgive you, father." Lirum said to Kaim as she smiled. The former Imperial general was happy that her only child forgave him as he smiled too.
Most of the groups are touched by what they're seeing. Cheetara is happy that Kaim has reunite with his long-lost daughter. Lion-O is equally happy as well.
"Is mom?" Lirum ask Kaim, wondering if her mother is with him.
"I don't know. I haven't seen her since." Kaim answer. Then a though enter his head. "Sarah...I have to find her. She doesn't even know you're alive!" Kaim said to her daughter.
As much as Lirum love to reunite with her mother as well, sadly, that's not gonna happen. "I don't have much time." Lirum said to her father.
Most of the groups are shock by what Lirum just said.
"She's dying." Ani whispered.
Lion-O clinch his left fist in anger. He and Tygra lost their father, but he will not let Mack and Cooke lose their mother too.
"This isn't suppose to happen." Lion-O said, getting everyone's attention.
"I don't what you're saying Lion-O, but I'm afraid there's little we can do." Cheetara said as she place a hand on his shoulder.
"There must be something we can do to help her." Lion-O continue.
"There is a way to save Lirum, Lion-O." A familiar voice said as Lion-O, Cheetara, Snarf, Punyra and Ani look to where the voice is coming from.
"Who said that?" Jansen said, a little spooked.
Near the front door, a familiar ghost materialize before the heroes.
"Jaga!" Lion-O, Snarf, Pumyra and Cheetara said in surprise. They never though they'll see him again.
"Um, who's he?" Seth said to Pumyra, not familiar with the ghost.
"That's Jaga, the adviser to Claudius and Leona. At least he was before Molag Bal turn him into a lantern." The Thunderian said to the Redguard.
"How can I help her?" Lion-O ask his old friend and adviser.
"Beyond the docks East of here, lays a rare flower that is said can heal any sickness. Even those made by Deadric hands." Jaga said as he point his staff to the East.
"'Deadric hands'?" Mack said to the old Thunderian, not understanding what he's talking about.
"He means your mom's sickness is not cause in this world, but cause by Peryite. The Deadric Prince of Diseases. I can tell cause I have a rare gift of sensing Deadrc influences." Ani said to Mack and Cooke.
"Indeed." Jaga said to Ani as he continue speaking with Lion-O. "The flower lays in a cave where the land and water meets. Be warned. It is guarded by creatures who wish to use it for themselves."
"I will, Jaga." Lion-O said. Knowing that he won't fail him.
"Time is short Lion-O. Find the flower." With that, Jaga wrap his cape around his as he vanish in a blue light.
With this mission, Lion-O order Ani and Pumyra, "Ani, Pumyra, you two stay and try to help Lirum the best you can. You two may not stop Peryite's sickness, but it will slow it down."
"You can count on us my king." Pumyra said as she bow to Lion-O.
"Cheetara. You, Seth, Jansen, Tygra and Panthro are with me to find the flower." Lion-O also order.
"I'm coming too" Kaim said after she carefully put Lirum down and get on his feet. "I lost my daughter once, I'm not gonna lose her again."
"Very well. We'll need all the help we can get." Lion-O said.
"Can we come too?" Cooke said to the Thunderian king.
"Sorry Cooke, but you and Mack need to stay here and help your mother. She need you more than us." Lion-O said to the two kids, much to their disappointment.
Kaim grab Ani and said firmly to her. "Remember, my daughter's life is in your hands."
"Don't worry Kaim. Me and Pumyra will make sure she still breathes by the time you get back. I promise." Ani said to Kaim.
With that said, Kaim gave her daughter a kiss on her forehead. "We'll be back Lirum. Just hang in there."
Lirum just nod as Lion-O and the 6 volunteers walk out of the house where the others are waiting who have heard every word.
"So Cooke and Mack's mom is your daughter?" Tygra said to Kaim who just nod.
"Didn't see that coming." Bedaf said in surprise.
"What can we do to help?" Saheen asked.
"Panthro and Tygra are with us to help us find the flower. Mother, you, and the rest stay here to guard the house til we get back." Lion-O said.
"We don't fail you, Lion-O." Leona said to her son as she hug both him and Tygra for luck.
"What about us Lion-O?" Wilykit ask the Thunderain king.
"Why can we come too?" Wilykat also ask.
"Sorry kids, but you two have to stay and try to help." Lion-O said, turning down their offer.
"But Lion-O." The Thunder-Kitten complain.
"No buts." Lion-O said, making his decision final. Not wanting to argue, Wilykit and Kat agree with Lion-O's words.
"I'll also stay Lion-O to keep an eye on them." Snarf said to Lion-O as he smile.
"Thanks Snarf." Lion-O said to his old babysitter as he smile back.
Soon, Lion-O and the selected volunteers walk East to find the flower to help cure Lirum. They hope to find it and bring to back in time before it's too late.
A/N: Another chapter finally finish. Again, sorry for the long delay. Anyway, the Thunderians and Dragon Shield ended up on a new land and made some new friends along the way. This chapter is based on the underrated video game Lost Odyssey, but with a few changes I made. Also, Jaga disappearing is from the 80's version of Thundercats. I based the title of this chapter and the quote Lion-O made as a reference to the book Stranger in a Strange Land. I also made a reference to New Hope. Guess which one. Plus, I use the Alyeid structures from Nexusmods and gave them a little should check them out. In the next chapter, Lion-O and the others find a flower that'll help cure Lirum of her sickness but they first have to fight a Troll in order to get it. Meanwhile, The Thunder-Kittens bond with Mack and Cooke by singing their lullabies their moms sing to them. After Lirum is cured, they all attend to the banquet where Ena reveal to our heroes of how the Alyeid ended up on the island. Don't forget to read and review. Until the next chapter, bye for now.
