Chapter One: Summoning

She is an Archer, was what he thought as soon as he saw her.

Invisible to the human eye, he stared from his spot as the magic circle faded. A girl with long black hair shimmered into existence next to her master, Emiya Shirou. Her eyes were closed and her red and white Japanese-style robe fluttered around her figure with the wind. On her neck was a shining jewel, illuminating the surrounding darkness. She was a miko, a priestess and servant of the gods and everyone knew that bows and arrows were a miko's weapons.

But of course, she won't even be a match for me, a god. But I'll give her the privilege of serving me for the rest of her life. The King of Heroes smugly thought to himself. After all, there is no one in the world better than him.

As if sensing his thoughts, she suddenly opened her eyes, and her vibrant blue eyes clashed with his blood red ones, even though there should have been no way she should have been able to tell where he was.

For once, he was speechless.

I got this sudden urge to write a Gilgamesh x Kagome fanfic. BECAUSE GILGAMESH IS SO HOT I MEAN JUST LOOK AT HIM. Especially him in casual clothing! But my otp in the Fate stories is definitely Gilgamesh x Saber ~~~ (Which we need more of btw, even though it is a tough pairing because both of them have really high pride). Anyway, if I do continue this, it will be more of a drabble series. But I hope you enjoyed it!
