Thank you so much for the reviews everyone. I was beginning to doubt that no one was interested in this story but thank you for proving me wrong and for sticking with me.

Shout outs to Ronniefanficfan 18 for the encouraging message. You really made my day when that PM popped up. I literally read your message ten times. Once again, thank you so much!

"What are you doing here?" The masculine voice questioned.

Rin's eyes widen, hoping it wasn't who she thought it was. She quickly turned around, cinnamon brown made contact with amber gold. She immediately recognized the man before her. The single blue stripe on each cheeks adoring his strong cheek bones, the red lined eyelids, and the tight pony tail cascading down his back.

"Takahashi-sama." She gasped.

He analyzed her appearance, shocked that she was there before his eyes and that she too was equally astonished to see him.

"How are you here? I thought-" He was interrupted when he felt someone approaching their way.

Sesshomaru walked through the door to have Rin's back to him, looking over at a few pictures. She turned around as if nothing had just occurred between her and his father. He sniffed the air and immediately caught the scent of his father's.

"Was my father in here?" He asked nonchalantly.

"Your father?" Rin asked innocently, cocky her head slightly to farther persuade him into thinking she had no idea what he was talking about.

"Never mind." He said, deciding that he probably left before Rin stumbled upon the room. Remembering why he came here, he looked to her. "The others are looking for you. Come on."

Rin nodded and quickly followed Sesshomaru out of the room.

Once they've reunited with the others, Rin was introduced to Izayoi, Inuyasha's mother. She apologized for being lost which the kind beautiful woman quickly brushed off as if it was nothing. Rin liked Izayoi right away, she reminded her so much of Sasha, so heartwarming and motherly.

They spent their time going over some party ideas and decorations themes, without Sesshomaru of course. Once they were done going over their plans, everyone stayed for dinner after Izayoi insisted. She thought it was easier that way instead of dousing the mansion with a spray to eliminate their scents before Inuyasha comes home.

When Inuyasha came home, he was surprised to see everyone waiting for him at the dinner table.

"Hey guys, sorry for being late. Where's dad?" Inuyasha asked, taking a seat next to Kagome and his mom who sat at the head.

"Your father has a last minute meeting to deal with and won't be joining us for dinner." Izayoi explained, patting her delicate lips with a cloth in slight sadness.

Dinner resumes with everyone talking happily. Izayoi was glad for the extra guests since she absolutely adored Inuyasha's and Sesshomaru's friends. She especially took a liking to Rin and couldn't help noticing the looks she would give Sesshomaru. It wasn't one of lust or attractions, but of deep pure fondness and adoration?

Once dinner was done, everyone left the Takahashi mansion after thanking Izayoi for her hospitality. She gave them each a hug and welcomed them to come back anytime as always.

Walking out of her bathroom after a nice relaxing shower, Rin sat down on her bed. She pulled out a card from her pocket and read over the information given. The card was Inutaisho's business card,

She remembered their conversion back at the Takahashi mansion.

Flashback

"How are you here? I thought-" Inutaisho stopped, sensing his son approaching their way. Reaching into his pocket, he grabbed his wallet and took out a business card, giving it to Rin.

"Contact my private number tomorrow around five. We need to talk." He instructed in a rush.

Rin only nodded in agreement since she really didn't have a choice. Inutaisho was powerful. If he really wanted too, he could force her to reveal everything.

He left the room only for Sesshomaru to come in a minute later.

End of Flashback

Rin sighed, not knowing how much information she should release. She knew exactly what he'll ask her and have some speculations of his own regarding other things. She couldn't exactly tell him everything.

Perhaps she should ask Inutaisho for help she thought. She shook her head in negation, knowing that involving him in this wasn't a good idea. Not now, not then.

She gave out a sigh, putting everything at rest for now. She was too exhausted with having to deal with school work, friends, and her own private circumstances. Crawling under her blanket, Rin closed her eyes for some much needed sleep.

A few day later, Rin was walking into a restaurant near the outskirts of town. She told the hostess her name who immediately escorted her a private room. Entering the room, she was greeted by inutaisho.

"Hello." He said, gesturing for her to take a seat across from him.

The door closed behind her as she sat down.

"Hello, Takahashi-sama." She reply.

"Please, just Inutaisho is fine." He smile. "Please, order anything you like." He offered.

She nodded. She scrolled through the menu, unsurprised by the ridiculous expensive prices of each item.

"I suppose you want answers about that day and who I am." Rin suggested, not having to look up.

"Yes, if you please. I would like to know who I should be thanking for all these years." Smiling, he placed his elbows on the table, clasped his hands together and leaned his chin on his knuckle, indicating that she has his complete attention.

She was about to begin when waiter came by moments later for their orders. After the waiter left, she started.

"Well, for starters, I am Rin Markov and I'm in your sons' class." Inutaisho was slightly surprise but continued to listen to her.

Their conversation carried on until their food came.

"Does he know who you are?" Inutaisho asked, cutting into his bloody steak.

"No, and I have no intentions of letting him know who I am." Rin said, her eyes downcast.

She continued her story throughout the dinner, Inutaisho stopping her every now and then to ask more questions. Rin was able to answer most of them though there were some where it was strictly kept secret or she too was uninformed.

After their long dinner, Inutaisho gave Rin a giant hug.

"I'm glad you're alive and words cannot begin to describe how thankful I am to you."

His words touched her, further ensuring that her decision years ago was not a mistake. She was glad that someone appreciated the actions she made and not pity her.

"Since our meeting is a secret, here." He handed her a tiny fragrance bottle. "It'll erase our scent so that others won't know that we've met."

Rin refused, confusing him. "It's alright. This has been hiding my scent the entire time so you don't have to worry about that." She said, pulling out her scent concealing necklace from under her shirt.

He was intrigued by the necklace but didn't ask where she acquired such a useful thing.

The music was blasting and the guests were laughing, dancing to the booming beat in the darken room. The only sources of light were coming from the strobe and laser lights placed around the spacious living room.

Rin was dancing with Ayame and the girls, shaking their body to the rhythm of the song. They attracted many attentions as they grooved their bodies to the beat expertly, almost like a circle of seductiveness.

Rin was having a blast. Was this what freedom felt like? Not having to carry the lives of others on her shoulder, not having to worry about killing, not having to worry about her past for just a moment? If it was, Rin never wanted to leave.

She would wish this privilege on everyone, including Alina who has disappeared after their fight. She was worried about the girl, spending sleepless nights searching for her throughout the city. Rolan finally got her to stop, reassuring her that Alina was safe, on a long mission of her own.

Taking a break from the dancing, Rin walked of to the kitchen to get a drink. After she gulped down her water bottle, she accidentally bumped into a hard body in her rush to return to the dance floor.

"I'm sorry-" She looked up to see honey gold staring down at her.

"Sesshomaru! Sorry. I wasn't paying attention." She explained, her breathing slightly caught from all the dancing and seeing him.

He continues to stare at her for some reason.

"Are you enjoying the party?" She asked to break the awkwardness.

"I wouldn't call celebrating my half-brother's birthday enjoyable." He answered, his face slightly annoyed. No matter how many years have pass and how much others wished for them to get along, they simply couldn't. Sesshomaru will always see him as a half-breed, someone inferior to him.

"Maybe dancing will help!" Rin tried optimistically. Sesshomaru ignored his urge to roll his eyes at her ridiculous solution.

"I don't dance." He said bluntly.

"Hrmm, well.. I'm going back to the dance floor. See you later Maru-chan!" She blurted without thinking about her mistake.

His eyes widen in disbelief, his body stunned in place.

Did she just call me Maru-chan?

He stood there for what felt like hours but only seconds, thinking about what he just heard and if is mind was playing a bad joke on him.

Heading out to the dance floor in search of Rin, he found her in the middle of the room looking for her friends. He quickly spotted Miroku flirting with Sango on the couch. Kouga grinding with Ayame on the opposite side of the room from Rin. Inuyasha, who finally grew a pair of balls, was making out with Kagome by the stairs.

Seeing that no one was around her, Sesshomaru stealthily gliding through the crowd of people to his prey.

Rin was nodding her head to the beat while scouring the room for her friends when a pair of arms snaked around her waist, shocking her. Quickly turning around, Rin was face to face with Sesshomaru once again.

"God you scared me Sesshomaru!" Rin yelled over the music. She was waiting for him to tell her what he wanted when she saw the confusion and seriousness of his gaze on her.

"What's wrong?" She asked in concern, hoping everything was alright with the demon.

He continues to stare at her blankly as if to gaze into her soul in search of something.

"Why did you call me that?" He finally asked, loud enough for her to hear.

"Call you what?" She asked, unaware as to what he was referring to.

"Maru-chan." He announce, the name sounding heavy on his tongue.

That name made her flinch.

"I didn't calling you that." She giggled.

"You said it moments ago in the kitchen."

"No I didn't." Swatting her hands in the air, chuckling.

"Yes you did." He leaned closer.

"Look even if I did call you that, it was a mistake, an accident. I was probably caught up in the mood of the party and called you Maru-chan by accident. It meant nothing okay?" She shrugged.

He took the time to absorb her excuse, not buying it one bit. Rin was frazzled. She was unsure about her explanation and her words felt forced. He could sense her nervousness.

Taking a gamble, he asked her an unexpected question.

"Have we met before Rin?" His voice more serious than she's ever heard before.

Her eyes widen for a split second before she forced it back to its normal wideness.

She gave out a laugh, hunching to emphasize how ridiculous his assumption was.

"Don't be ridiculous Sesshomaru. This is the first time we've met." Patting him on the arm, she tried to maneuvering away from him.

She was heading to the bathroom when Sesshomaru stopped her halfway in the empty hallway, pushing her against the wall.

"You're lying." He growled, leaning his face closer to her.

"Sesshomaru, please let go." Her voice raspy from panic.

"What are you hiding?" He leaned in, intimidating her even more with his closeness to force her to crack.

He didn't know what was making him do this again. Why did he care? Why was he so curious about her? What was this feeling she drew up in him?

Rin tugged on her wrists to break free from his grasp but he had a death grip on her. Her heartbeat increased by the moment as their face got closer and closer when-

WHAM!

Someone knocked into Sesshomaru, pushing his body forward. The force was so sudden that neither could prevent what happened even with their quickly reflexes.

Sesshomaru's lips crashed onto Rin's. Both pairs of eyes widen in astonishment before Rin registered what just happen.

Their lips parted slowly, gazing into each other's eyes before they molded together again in fervor. They clutched onto one another, not knowing what force was making them do this, but it felt so right. With Sesshomaru's grip loosen, Rin wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer to her form. He grabbed hips , pulling her flush to him.

They didn't know how long their make out session was going on but when they pulled apart for air, Sesshomaru growled her name huskily.

"Rin." She gasped, realizing what she had just done.

No! She screamed in her head. She had a full on blush on her face at this moment.

"I-I have to go." She stuttered, pushing him away before running out of the mansion.

For everyone who guessed Inutaisho, good job! I wanted to give you guys some doubt about whether its Inutaisho or Inuyasha to make it more mysterious for some reason. Teehee.

I know the chapter seemed kind of rushed and nothing makes sense but I just wanted to get these scenes in as soon as possible. Plus I really wanted Rin and Sesshomaru

Hope you liked this chapter.
