Allen froze as Kanda's lips pressed against his; it seemed he wasn't the only one either. Time had been in slow motion as everyone stopped what they were doing and focused on what was going on with him and Kanda. Kanda himself looked comical with his squinted eyes wide open. Had he not been in this position he would have laughed.
He was tempted to continue the kiss with Kanda but knew he couldn't in fear of Kanda's wrath. He pulled away and put on a grin, licking his lips slowly. He was not the same horribly polite Allen, what with Red also mixed in, giving him a slightly playful, sadistic side.
"Wow Kanda I didn't think you liked me like that…" he waited for Kanda to strike out but Mugen didn't come flying at him.
He looked down at Kanda, seeing that he wore a horribly embarrassed expression with deep red cheeks. His smile dropped as he stared at Kanda, the man looked towards him and his face seemed to take a darker shade of red. He backed up as a look of pure unadulterated anger reached the older teens face.
"S-s-sorry!" he squeaked loudly, terror lacing his voice.
"I asked you a question, where is the real Allen?"
"I'm right here," Allen whispered "people change Kanda, I just happen to have more things needed to be changed then most others."
"I want the beansprout back not you."
"Why can't you just accept me as I am now?"
"Because you're different now, you're not Allen, and you're not Red, I don't know who the hell you are, so give Allen back!"
"This is me, I am Allen, and if you can't accept that then…fine, I don't care anymore…" Allen stood from his crouch and walked off.
Lavi followed Allen, wanting to comfort him. To tell you the truth Lavi had had a crush on Allen for a while, it bugged him a lot because of Allen's weird attraction to Kanda. Allen ran through his memories, making sure they were all there; he had been trying to get through Red's defenses, which were more complicated than before. He was lucky he merged them together, or he would have been lost forever, and a voice in his head said that could be a disaster.
Allen's mind went over his conversation with Kanda and he felt hurt and unaccepted. Deciding to test his theory of his dilemma on Lavi, he turned to the red head and watched him.
"Lavi…Am I okay the way I am?"
"Allen, as long as you're yourself then that person will be accepted; especially since you can't change who you are when it all comes down to it."Lavi whispered as they approached Allen's room. They entered, Allen closed the door, a frown marred his face. Lavi instinctively doved his head towards Allen's.
Allen's eyes widened at the feel of another person's lips pressed against his. He looked at Lavi's closed eyes, and let the older teen over power him. He could care less at the moment, but he wouldn't respond, he wouldn't give into the urge of desire. Lavi pulled away and looked into Allen's eyes, he received the message and continued his actions.
Lavi couldn't help himself, he pride Allen's mouth open, but before he could go any further, some burst through Allen's door. Kanda stood in the middle of the room, trying to comprehend what was occurring in front of his eyes. Lavi pulled away and faced Kanda smiling sadly.
"You lost a good one Kanda, I'd hurry to get him back." He left, dragging his feet.
Kanda look towards the beansprout, feeling betrayed. He saw the look of self-hatred, sorrow, and something he couldn't recognize, on the boy's face. His own expression faltering, as the boy spoke.
"You know, by the end of all this, I'm going to be a monster to human kind, The Destroyer of Time… sounds like a depressing future, but as I keep going I'll start to develop into my true self, piece by piece, and then the puzzle of my mind will be complete. I don't know what's going to happen, but I know that I'll need someone reliable by my side, someone who will never give up on me, someone I know I can trust with all my being…"
"Why-"
"I want that person to be you Kanda, but I'm starting to doubt that you can handle the emotional toll it will take on you, judging by your outburst, I can only presume it will worsen as time goes on. Think about that for a while, when you've come to a conclusion come and find me." Allen pushed Kanda out the door, shutting it quietly.
Kanda furrowed his brows and walked towards his room, he didn't know if he could support Allen, he didn't know why Allen wanted him of all people to be his supporter. He only knew one thing for certain; he didn't what anyone else by the boy's side other than himself. With that thought he was determined to become the person Allen can rely on.
