I am so so so so so sorry. I know it's been awhile since I worked on this one and I'm truly sorry for that. Without getting to into it, I've had mental health problems since I was a child and I sometimes find it hard to work on things. I would say I promise to upload more, but I don't like making promises I'm not sure I can keep.
narutofanficlov321- Thank you! I'm glad you enjoy the story so much! I'm sorry to keep you waiting so long!

It was loud, and so bright; that was the first thing Jack noticed as he woke up. There was a steady beeping mixed with the sound of a show tapping against the hard floor. Jack peeled his eyes open slowly groaning at the light that flooded his eyes. He rolled his head to the side and lazily threw an arm up over his face.
"Jack…" Bunny whispered relief obvious in his voice. "Yer a right gumby ya know that?" He whispered leaning closer to the bed. He looked exhausted, his hair a mess and his clothes wrinkled. "What were ya thinkin'?" He asked in exasperation.
Jack slowly moved his arm and looked at his brother tiredly. "I screwed up didn't I?" He asked weakly his voice cracking. Bunny leaned over grabbing a glass of water from the table before helping Jack sit up.
"Mum's been worried sick; Pa took some time off work." Bunny told him not while unkindly; just needing Jack to understand. He helped his brother take a drink before he leaned back into his chair. "What were ya doin?" He asked softly as he looked over the boy.
Jack cringed softly and looked down, his hands fiddling with the blanket over his lap. "I was feeling better, and I was bored… I just wanted to go out." He said with a soft sigh. "I know I over did it, and I should have just stayed home." Tears burned behind his eyes and he gripped the blanket in his fists. "They're going to send me back aren't they?" He whispered weakly, he couldn't help believe that the Bunnymund's would think he was too much trouble to keep around.
"Strewth Jackie no…" Bunny said moving onto the edge of the bed and pulling Jack into an easy hug. "Ma and Pa are worried ya… But they aren't mad." He whispered rubbing Jack's arm. "They knew ya were a troublemaker from the beginning." He teased looking down at his brother. "Ya aren't goin anywhere." He promised.

It took another two days for them to let Jack go home. He was overly tired and lethargic but it was to be expected. He was curled into the arm of the couch wrapped in a blanket dozing off one morning when the door slammed open with a hearty laugh.
Jack jerked awake and looked up as North came busting into the house followed closing by an excited Tooth and a very apologetic looking Sandy. "Jack!" North said happily. "You gave us quite the scare da?" He said walking over and wrapping Jack into a hug, pulling the teen off the couch in the process.
Sandy gently tugged North's arm motioning for him to put the boy down. Once settled back into the couch Jack smiled. "Hey guys. Bunny will be back here soon, Ma needed him to run to the store before she got home from work." He whispered curling back into the corner and pulling his blanket tighter once more.
"Oh we know!" Tooth reassured, "We wanted to come and see how you were doing?" She told him, coming to sit by his side and fuss over his blanket.
Jack smiled tiredly, "I've been worse Tooth." He said honestly, sitting up a bit more so he could have a proper conversation with the three in his home. "But all in all I'm doing better now that I'm home."
Sandy tapped his knee gently catching Jack's attention. 'We're glad you're feeling better.' He wrote showing Jack his white board with a kind smile. 'When Bunny told us we were all worried about you.'
Jack's smile fell and he looked down. "I didn't mean to worry anyone." He said softly, seeming almost withdrawn at the comment.
Tooth smiled sadly, "Jack honey, we're going to worry. We're your friends it's what friends do." She whispered cupping his face gently and kissing his forehead gently. "Never be sorry that we worry."
Jack gave a watery laugh as he scrubbed tears from his face. "Thanks guys… I'm glad I have friends like you." He whispered looking over their faces with a sense of ease.

Mia slowly walked into Jack's room, the boy was curled up in bed laughing at a joke Bunny had made. He looked up when he noticed her come in, a nervous smile gracing his face. Bunny turned around and smiled at his mom. "See ya tomorrow Jack." He said before heading out the door.
Mia walked in and sat on the edge of the bed, taking Jack's hand in her own. "Ya worried us Jackie." She whispered caressing his hand gently. "When I got that call… I didn't know if I was ever going to see you again." Tears rolled down her cheeks.
Jack sat up as quickly as he could and wiped the tears from her face. "Ma no… Please don't cry I'm sorry I didn't mean to worry you guys." He whispered moving closer so he could hug her. "I promise I'll do better."
Mia hugged him tightly and shook her head. "Jackie…" She murmured shaking her head. "That's not it. You're my boy, my baby boy." She told him running her hands through his hair. "When I had Aster, I was told we would never have another child. Ethan and I accepted that and we loved Aster with all of our hearts." She pulled back slightly and looked down at him with a smile.
"But then Aster called us, and told us a boy from his school was in desperate need of a family. So we got involved without a second thought. We knew it would be difficult, that you would have to adjust; we knew it wouldn't be perfect. But you're our boy, our son and we couldn't be happier." She kissed the top of his head and pressed their foreheads together. "We are so lucky to have you."
Now it was Jack's turn to cry. His shoulders shock slightly and he leaned into Mia wrapping his arms around her. Neither of them spoke now, they just held each other and let the other know everything was okay. And when Bunny poked his head in later, he would smile at seeing his mom curled on the bed with Jack held to her chest, both sound asleep.
