Chapter 15
The afternoon sky began to darken over Hyrule Castle as Zelda tightened her grip on the hilt of her rapier awaiting the arrival of both Ganondorf and Lucina. And yet even though they had appeared yet the princess was not worried because when Lucario sensed their auras he would tell her right away. She was also glad that she was able to convince the soldiers to stand guard at the front entrance to the castle and also the four entrances to the castle's town that was in front of it. She did this so that she could avoid losing a good number of them since she knew they would attack Ganondorf head on to protect her. And yet she did not want any of her soldiers to lose their lives just so that she could remain safe.
"Zelda, I sense two dark auras and they seem to be coming from the back of the castle." Lucario's telepathic voice warned her, before she saw him open his red eyes.
"Hmph, I suppose I should have known the annoying Pokemon would come back to Hyrule with you, Princess. However, it doesn't matter because today is the day that I take this kingdom form you." A deep voice called out, making the two turn to face from the back of the throne room.
Once they had done this Zelda saw both the Gerudo and the Ylissean princess walk into the room from seemingly out of nowhere. This prompted the Hylian noblewoman to back away from her throne while she pressed a finger against the bracelet Lucario had given her. Upon doing this she saw the stone that was wrapped around his neck begin to glow. When this happened the jackal like Pokemon was surrounded by a circular type of energy for a few seconds before it shattered revealing the Pokemon in its Mega Evolution form. Once this had been done the princess pulled her sword up in front of herself when she saw Lucina pull her own blade out of its sheath before she charged towards her as fast as she could run.
And upon blocking the attack she did her best to reason with the other noblewoman when she said, "Lucina, please you have to listen to me. Ganondorf is just using you. Your father and I are just friends. And I would never do anything to ruin your parents marriage."
"I don't want to hear any more of your lies! I just want you to suffer like I am suffering right now!" The blue haired young woman shouted, before Zelda saw her jump away from her.
The Princess of Hyrule took the opportunity that was given to her and attempted to strike her own attack at the blue haired swordswoman. And for the second time their blades clashed with one another. Once this had been done Zelda was planning on using some magic to put the fight in her favor. She was not given the chance though as a boot rammed itself into her stomach knocking her back away from her opponent. The sound of a magic orb being made took her attention away from Lucina, and when she turned her gaze to the left the noblewoman saw the warlock had formed a dark ball of magic in his left hand. She then saw him release the ball of magic energy right at her. This distance based attack did not reach her though as she saw a blue sphere of energy hit the dark purple colored one causing both of them to explode.
"Thank you, Lucario." The Princess let out in a hushed voice as she looked over towards the Pokemon who nodded his head in her direction.
ooooooo
Lucina gritted her teeth together in frustration while she said to herself, "Darn that Lucario, I knew he would get in our way. He would do anything to protect Zelda from harm." She was brought of her thoughts however, when she saw Zelda use her own type of magic this being a small orange colored orb to which she knew was her Din's fire spell. "Tch, can't she try anything better then that? If I time it just right I can avoid the attack." She continued with, as she waited for her chance to jump away from the attack. And yet to the Ylissian princess's surprise the orb exploded a good distance away from her. Seeing this prompted a confused look to appear on her face although it did not last long once she found herself grabbed by Lucario and then pinned up against a nearby wall. "Release me at once!" Lucina shouted, followed by moving around so that she could try and free herself from the Pokemon's tight yet gentle grasp.
"I'm afraid I can't let you go. Not until I find out the truth." Lucatio calmly stated, before the swordswoman saw him close his eyes. Once he had done this the young woman felt an odd sensation run through her as he added, "Hmm, it seems that I was right. Your aura has not completely darken. You have doubts about going through with this plan you and Ganondorf have made."
"I, no you're lying!" Lucina shouted, as she closed her eyes tightly.
"You may not want to believe me, but there are no mistakes when it comes to a person's aura." The Pokemon stated, while she felt him release her.
The blue haired swordswoman reopened her eyes when she heard Lucario let out a loud cry of pain. And when she looked she saw Ganondorf standing in front her with a tightly clenched fist while he warned, "I would advise you to stop filling her head with your lies and doubt. If you do not then I will stain the floor with your blood."
Lucina wanted to thank the orange haired man for getting Lucario away from her. And yet she was never truly given the chance as a bright flash of light flashed from behind her catching her attention. And once she had turned around she just barely avoided a Light Arrow which she knew had been fired from Zelda. Fear quickly came over the princess as she turned and saw Ganondorf down onto one knee clearly in great pain from the sacred item. Seeing this prompted Lucina to charge at the Hylian yet again while she swung her sword around in great anger in hopes that one of the strikes would connect. This tactic though proved to be fruitless as she found herself just barely dodging yet another arrow of light.
Afteer she did this she mentally sighed with relief that the arrow had not hit her. And yet she found herself quickly turning around when she heard Ganondorf opening up a portal of darkness. She then saw him look back at her from over his shoulder as he said, "It seems this plan was a failure after all. But we will regroup and once we do we will take over at least one of the kingdoms sooner or later."
He then walked into the opening leaving the blue haired swordswoman with Lucario and Zelda. But while she made her way towards the portal she moved her gaze over to the Hyrulian Princess who was now over by Lucario and helping him onto his feet When their eyes met though she heard her voice one last time as she begged, "Lucina, please this is your last chance to cut your ties with Ganondorf. Please think about what your Father would say if he where here."
Just hearing Zelda even mentioning her father caused the blue eyed noble to glare daggers at her while she spat, "How dare you continue to try use my father to get me to go back with you! You know nothing about him, and you know nothing about me!" She then proceeded to step into the void of darkness. But before she completely stepped into it she kept on going with, "And mark my words one day I will get my revenge! Even if I have to kill the me in this time to do so."
This was the last thing that both Zelda and Lucario heard her say before the portal closed and vanished completely. And once the two were certain they were alone they released heavy sighs. Because even though they may have stopped Ganondorf, it seemed that they had also lost not only an alley but a friend to the darkness. And the worst part was that neither one of them were certain if anyone could ever get through to Lucina, thus bringing her back to the side of good.
A/N: Well, here ends the story. And yeah I know it might not be the best ending, (hopefully it didn't seem too rushed) but to be honest for some reason I felt this was a good place to end it. Also from now on the next four stories that I do will be kind of sort of AUish. I say it like this because well for the most part they will be taking place in different kingdoms. Like for example the next story will take place in the Mushroom Kingdom and the Darklands. So please leave a review and I hope you enjoyed this story and the rest that are about to come.
