He couldn't hear any movement down any of the halls and while he frantically flicked from camera to camera, he couldn't see any of them.
They couldn't have just vanished! That wasn't possible! Was it? Mike had no idea what was and wasn't possible inside the building. All he knew is that his heart rate was doing double it's normal speed trying to find where the four mascots had gone. If they were still going to kill him then he was bound to die tonight. He'd never lost track of them like this before. Sure they'd moved out of view on feeds but he usually found them again.
"You'll get square eyes holding that thing so close."
The voice from the door made poor Mike jump a mile. Whipping round, almost dropping the tablet, Mike saw Bonnie was stood in the doorway.
"Don't. Do that!" Mike snapped.
Bonnie chuckled and apologised, "Sorry, its force of habit. We thought you might want to come out of the office and maybe chill out in the main hall or something. It's very stuffy in here."
Mike rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, biting his lip. He wasn't really sure it was a good idea, he was still slightly convinced they were just going to tear him apart at some point. Although, Bonnie was right; the office was very stuffy and if they were eventually just going to kill him, they'd do it anywhere so what difference did it make really?
Slapping himself mentally for thinking so morbidly, Mike smiled and nodded as he stood up.
"Yeah, that'd be cool. Be a different turn on my usual job." Mike replied, placing the tablet down on the desk.
"You mean, fend off the four of us?" Bonnie chuckled.
Mike gave a sheepish smile and Bonnie smirked.
"C'mon, I'm starting to sweat in here and bunnies don't sweat." Bonnie said as he turned.
Mike gave a confused look as he followed Bonnie out of the office and into the main hall with the stage. Animatronics didn't sweat, did they? They were robots! At least, he thought they were robots, he'd never come across robots with murdering instincts and being capable of their own thoughts. In fact, he was sure he'd seen a horror film about that before. It gave him the creeps.
Upon reaching the main hall, Bonnie climbed up on to the stage and turned waiting for Mike.
"Where are we going?" Mike asked curiously.
"Oh, you didn't think we stayed out here all the time did you? There's more to this place than it seems but you know part of that. That part being us." Bonnie smiled.
Climbing up onto the stage, Mike followed Bonnie further as the bunny walked behind the curtain and through a door, holding it open for Mike. As the man walked through he saw what possibly a staff area for the day staff.
"How come I didn't know about this bit?" Mike asked as he took in his new surroundings.
"That'll be because management know the night guards don't usually moved from their office…or you know… come out alive… so you don't really need to know where the break room is." Bonnie answered, walking across the wide hallway to another door, continuing, "In all honesty, this isn't used very often at all. There are three doors to get here; one on the stage, one from outside and the other you have to go through the back of the restaurant kitchen and round. People just think it's too much hassle so they use the kitchen or the small room just off the other side of your office."
"Oh. I guess that makes sense." Mike replied.
Pushing open the door he was in front of, Bonnie spoke, "Yup. This is the lounge; I think Foxy and Freddy will be across in a few moments and Chica will be bringing food over."
Mike stepped in to the room to see a small coffee table, two beige sofa's, three green beanbags, a tv and a coat stand all set on a dusty pink carpet again cream walls. It wasn't the prettiest décor in the world but it was enough. It reminded him of a house lounge, slightly.
"Make yourself comfortable, I'm going to get Foxy and Freddy. I should only be two minutes." Bonnie informed Mike before leaving, the door closing behind him.
Mike looked around the room again and slowly walked over to one of the sofa's and dropped down on it. Sitting himself back, his mind began to tick again. He hated it when he was left alone sometimes, it gave him chance to think and that was never a good thing for him.
He found his mind begun to wonder what exactly the night held in store for him. Surely they weren't going to sit and watch movies. Although, that wouldn't actually bother him if that really was the plan, it beat being stuck in that office every night, trying to stay alive.
He possibly could have quit and gotten a job as a cashier but he couldn't deal with people all too well. The thought of someone coming in and holding him at gun point or knife point didn't appeal to him, not that working here had been any better. He'd had every chance to leave and hell, he was fired at one point and said he'd stay! What kind of nut job was he?
Mike chuckled at himself as he thought this then heard the door open to see a yellow suit coming towards him with a smile.
"Mikey!" Chica called, holding a couple of pizza boxes and some bottles.
"Hey Chica." Mike smiled at the chicken as if she was his best friend.
She placed what she was carrying down and leant down to hug Mike. He hugged her back, feeling the suit properly now. He'd felt it slightly last night but with everything that had gone on, he hadn't really registered much about it. Now, he was able to take in information and see little details without fearing for his life.
Chica's body was hard and cold underneath the covering that was balding slightly in places, probably from years of neglect that was obvious from the building. The body was made up of feathers and fur which was possibly just a cheaper option when the bots were being made and no doubt repaired and cleaned.
Mike could feel her rubbing his back slightly until she let go, letting him sit back properly.
"How are you doing?" She asked.
"Er… pretty… good? I guess?" Mike answered slightly hesitant, "How are you?"
He honestly wasn't too sure what to say. Everything had only changed last night or so he had thought he couldn't be expected to adjust immediately.
"Oh, I'm alright. I'm glad you're okay though." Chica replied.
Mike was sure if she could smile softly, that's what she would be doing right now. He smiled and nodded as she answered not having a clue what to say next and instead let his eyes wander around the room as he sat ridged on the edge of the sofa as Chica watched him.
"Mike, please try and relax. We're not going to hurt you. I know that might be a little hard to believe after everything we've put you through but we have our reasons. I'd explain them too you if I knew the words to say but I'm afraid I don't. Maybe one day I will." Chica spoke gently as Bonnie entered the room.
"Maybe one day you will what?" Bonnie asked as he stood just in front of the door he had come back through.
"Explain to Mike why we did what we did." Chica replied.
"Ah. Yes. Maybe one day." Bonnie spoke with a small nod.
Mike smiled and said, "O-okay. I… I'd really appreciate it. I guess I could figure out if that was ever going to happen again and maybe I'd be able to be more prepared."
"What are we preparing for?" Freddy's voice came from the door, just behind Bonnie.
The bunny looked around and moved out of the way so the bear could come into the room as Chica sat on the sofa next to Mike. The human had to admit this was really weird and he was half expecting to wake up on the sofa of his apartment, laptop still running on the table and the T.V still on.
"For the future?" Mike spoke questionably making Bonnie and Chica chuckle and shake their heads.
"I'm assuming you mean for the amount of pizza Chica makes." Freddy said amused.
"Hey!" Chica called back defensively, "I don't make THAT much."
"You make a lot though, you have to admit." Bonnie pointed out.
"Well, duh. We live in a pizzeria. We NEED pizza." Chica retorted.
"Yeah but not the unreasonable amount that you make." Bonnie laughed.
Chica was going to reply when Freddy called, "Guys, please."
Mike could help but laugh quietly to himself. If this was what life was going to show him from now on, he guessed he could be okay with that. Maybe he would learnt to love his job but it was clear that there was no money in the job and that meant his way of life would never change and he didn't want to live that way forever. As he watched Bonnie and Chica get into a childish argument, his mind jumped back to his searching on the laptop which made him shift uncomfortably.
"Mike, are you alright?" Freddy's voice was heard, slightly echoed.
Mike jumped a little and looked at Freddy, nodding immediately saying, "Yes, sorry! I zoned out."
"We noticed." Bonnie chuckled.
"Sorry… did someone say something to me?" Mike asked.
"Yes. I did. I said if you're hoping for something in your future, I'm sure we can do something to change that." Freddy answered.
The colour in Mike's face drained instantly. They were going to kill him. His future was death and a painful one at that.
"Oh no, no, no! Not THAT!" Chica called, reassuring Mike
"Oh, certainly not that!" Freddy added with Bonnie nodding, "My apologises, I should have been more specific but I'm afraid I don't quite know how to be so."
Mike gave a sigh of relief as he heard footsteps coming towards the door Freddy had come through. That must have been Foxy, he was the only one not there.
"The best we can do is show you, please try to stay calm." Freddy requested.
Mike looked at the bear confused but quickly looked to the opening door.

I'm sorry this took a year please don't hurt me.
I actually didn't know it had taken me a year to get this done until I got a message today asking about it and I am so sorry.
I am a mess. That sums everything up on my half and it's not something you need to hear.

I know this feels very rushed and it's a little… shit… but I'm hoping if I can get some sort of hold on this again, I'll get back on it properly. Do you think this is my worst chapter so far? Does it show?
What am I doing with this story? I'm probably gonna make you all hate me. I have a twist up my sleeve for this so just try and work with me and we'll get there.
