Author's Note: Hello, I know it's been a while. Been struggling to pick up my stories. Anyway, today I forcefully sat myself down to write what came to me and this is the result. The events of the chapter happened over a period of one day. We actually pick up from the last chapter. Hope you enjoy!
"Mia, behave!" Olivia admonished from the kitchen island at her youngest child who was screaming for no gahtdamn reason. But that didn't stop her from doing it again.
"Ahhhhhhh!" she bellowed again.
Olivia turned to her husband and silently conveyed that he needed to get a handle of his child before she did, before she truly gave her something to scream about. But before Fitz could act she screamed again.
"Ahhhhhhh!"
"Mom, make her stop!" Tommy stuffed his ears with his index fingers to block out the piercing sound of his sister's shrieks.
"Amia! Stop that!" Fitz commanded in a firm voice.
"NO!" she rebutted from the breakfast nook where she sat with her brother, pouting at them.
Ok. Fitz thought, not understanding what was going through his youngest mind that morning. He removed himself from pancake duty and crossed the short space to her. Leaning down to her level, he proceeded to speak in a low but stern tone. "Do you need to go in time out?"
Amia rolled her eyes at him. "Shut up! Leave me alone!"
Fitz took a deep breath so that he wouldn't react hasty to his daughter's rudeness.
"Amia, this is your last chance to fix your attitude. You do not roll your eyes at me or anyone for that matter and speak to me like that. Do you understand?"
Meanwhile, Olivia who was now at the stove looking after their pancakes was fighting every urge not to go over to her daughter and plant two pops on her bottom. She had to resist the impulse and relinquish the control to Fitz, who was much more patient than her when it came to bad behavior from their kids – well, as patient as one could be.
Not deterred for some reason that morning Amia rolled her honey brown eyes at her father once again and said, "I am my own person." She couldn't even pronounce person correctly so it came off as "paw-soon".
Tommy on the other side of his sister couldn't believe that she was acting like this. In his mind it wouldn't end well for her. One thing he could testify to was that his parents didn't accept disrespect from them and his sister was about to learn. And learn she did. He watched as his father gently but firmly removed his sister from her seat before commanding her to open the palm of her hands.
Fitz made sure to hit both hands twice with the end of his fingers, exerting just enough strength while holding back most of it, least he hurt her because that was the last thing he wanted to do as he was disciplining her. But the stings delivered to her pudgy hands were enough to have her erupting in tears. Amia tried to escape to her mother but Fitz held her in place while he spoke. "You're gonna go and sit in the living room until I call you for breakfast. I want you to think about your actions. Now go!"
The trio watched as she rushed out the kitchen, crying her eyes out as she did.
"Dang, somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed," Tommy quipped, finding the whole situation funny.
"Don't start." Fitz gave him a murderous look and he gulped in response.
At that same moment Iya walked in the room, still dressed in her pajamas and hair piled high atop her head in a messy bun.
"Why's sissy on the floor crying?" she asked.
Olivia rolled her eyes at that and cautiously chided herself, subconsciously thinking that their daughter had probably picked up the bad habit from her. Oops… But of course she was behaving dramatic in the living room.
"She was mouthing off to Dad, so he popped her," Tommy stated matter-of-factly when neither parents budged to answer.
"Oh," Iya voiced, walking over to her mother. "What's for breakfast?" She asked, surveying the already cooked food.
"Strawberry pancakes with bacon and eggs. Can you grab the utensils for me please?"
Iya groaned but quickly stopped when her mother gave her that look – the one that implied she wasn't in the mood to be messed with. Plus, the oncoming footsteps of her father had her not wanting to be an Amia 2.0. She quickly moved to the cupboards to gather plates and cutlery for their breakfast.
"I'm on my way to the airport," Olivia spoke into her cellphone. She was currently in transit to JFK international airport to pick up Abby and her daughter.
"Oh, that's right. I almost forgot that Abby was coming today. Tell her I'm praying for her."
"Will do, mom. I'm sure she'll appreciate that."
"Least I can do," Alexis said. "What are my grandbabies up to?"
Scratching her right brow, Olivia sank deeper into the leather seat before she answered, "Home with their father. Mia already got on his bad side this morning. Told him to shut up."
"She what? Hell no! My Honey Pot should know better than that."
"Well, she is going to before the day is out I'm sure. I left the two of them having a serious talk." She mused, recalling the father and daughter duo sitting at the breakfast nook long after everyone had finished breakfast – discussing Amia's earlier actions.
Alexis laughed as the mental image of the two played in her mind as well. "Good. Serve her right. Should've gotten a whooping, too."
"Oh, she did have a whooping. Well, sort of a whooping from her father." Olivia explained lightly.
"You lie?"
Olivia laughed. "Nope. He gave her a few taps on her hands." Her mother's audible intake of air made her laugh even more.
"I'm surprised he did. Normally, he leaves that to you."
"Good thing he didn't. I'm tired of being the bad one." Olivia joked.
"Lucky y'all can take turns. When it was the two of us I was always the bad guy."
"And the good guy," Olivia added with a broad smile. The older she got the more grateful she was of all of the sacrifices her mother had made for her.
"Awww. Have I ever told you that I like this version of you better? The one where you're a mother and more sympathetic of what I had to go through raising you?"
Olivia chortled. "Oh hush!" She said jokingly. She was very humbled by motherhood. It wasn't an easy task but it was one she proudly embraced. She loved being a mother. In the background she heard her stepfather shouting "good morning, Livia."
"You heard his big mouth right?" Alexis chuckled.
"I did. Tell him good morning for me and that Tommy is working on his Spanish. He's trying to be fluent by the time we come for Thanksgiving."
Alexis relayed that information to her husband and he responded something in Spanish that neither woman could decipher. "No comprende," they replied simultaneously before bursting into even more laughter. You would think that being married to a Spanish speaking man for the past five plus years would have Alexis somewhat fluent but that was a bust.
"Mom, I'll talk to you later. Huck is pulling up to the airport now."
"Ok, Sweetheart. I love you and make sure to not take more on your plate than is necessary. Remember that."
"I will. Love you, too."
"Ok, let me go FaceTime my grandbabies."
"I'm sure they would loved that." The call ended on that note. Olivia was glad her mom called because it served to take her mind off of what was about to happen. She would be lying if she said she wasn't nervous about meeting her friend. What to say, now that she got her to come all the way to New York? Everything is going to be all right despite your husband had impregnated another woman? She silently prayed that this was the right move. It had to be. What other move was there to take when you include a cheating husband?
A call from Samantha interrupted her musings. She spoke to her right hand woman for a minute or two on all things work before exiting the SUV that Huck drove. She made her way inside the arrival terminal. Like always, the airport was bustling with thousands of people but she had her eyes set on two.
"Amia, bring your shoes." Fitz was out of patience with his youngest but tried his hardest not to show it. With the earlier incident behind them, he was now having issues with her moving slowly as he tried to get them dressed and out of the door. He had a studio session in the next hour and was going to have to take them to work with him since Olivia was handling the Abby situation. "Come on, hurry along!" he chided as she continued to move slowly towards him. She finally picked up her pace and handed over the pair of low-top pink converse with Velcro straps. Fitz quickly bent forward and propelled her feet into them.
"Everyone ready?" He directed towards the oldest two.
"Yep," Tommy quipped, getting up from his seat on the couch and Iya wordlessly followed.
The drive from their Manhattan home to their father's Brooklyn studio was mostly a quiet one. Iya was glued to her phone in the front passenger seat while Tommy was stuck on his Gameboy and Amia was dozing off into a light sleep – Fitz observed through the rearview mirror of his Jeep. All of that crying she did would tire anyone out, he mused, shaking his head slightly. His baby girl definitely woke on the wrong side of the bed. She wasn't this feisty usually, but today she surely tried it.
After finding parking, they took the elevator up to the studio level. Before they got off of the lift Fitz reiterated the need for them to be on their best behaviors, emphasizing it to Amia who was currently resting in his arms since she was still sleepy.
Lauren greeted them with a wide smile, surprised to see all of the Grant kids present. Iya surprised her with a hug and Tommy gave her a shy smile. He was the more reserved one out of the bunch.
"Dad, I'm going to see what D is up to," Iya stated when they arrived into his corner office.
"Me too," Tommy chimed in. Derrick was their fun "uncle" and he would without doubt have them laughing over something silly making the time go by fast.
"Fine but make sure to-"
"Behave. We know," they finished simultaneously for him.
Lauren laughed and watched as the two older Grants rushed out of the room, leaving a sleepy head Amia still leaning onto her father's right shoulder.
Fitz shook his head before lowering his body on the two-seater sofa in the corner of his office. Now, situating Amia in his arms the way he used to when she was a baby while rocking her to sleep.
"So what's on the agenda?" he asked Lauren, who had her iPad in hand, ready to divulge the day's memo.
"You have a meeting with Tom Ford that is rescheduled for Monday instead of Wednesday. Told them I'll have to check with you to confirm."
"Of course." Fitz rolled his eyes, annoyed. "What time?"
"10 AM."
"Ok."
"Moving on... The coordinator for the Rockefeller Center reached out with an invite to be a part of this year's Christmas Tree Lighting." She paused. "They were hoping that you would be their main act."
Fitz's eyebrows shot up then. He couldn't remember the last time he performed anywhere, seeing that he didn't sing anymore.
"Mmm…I'll think about it. When do they need a response?" He queried, looking into the face of his fully sleeping baby girl. He lowered his lips briefly to kiss her cute button nose.
Lauren observed the tender moment and it almost made her melt inside. She adored how much of a family man her boss was. It made working for him a joy because he was almost always pleasant to interact with.
"By the end of this month. And of course you will be accommodated if you do say yes."
Fitz only nodded.
"We have two new artists that wants to sign with us. Derrick and Fiona already met with them so now we just need you to do the same. They've been singing and performing in Atlanta at local night clubs for the past two years."
"Ok, you can put them in the time slot we had reserved for Tom Ford on Wednesday."
"Sounds good." See, like she said, he was a pleasant person to work with.
"Also, Simoné called this morning for a meeting but I told her you're not available on Saturdays."
"Oh good." Fitz said, relieved, hoping that was the last he heard from her until the final cut of her album was ready.
Lauren read him a few more things on his list to do before leaving to resume her duties. After she was gone, Fitz situated Amia on the couch and surrounded her with two decorative throw pillows, creating sort of a barricade around her. He gave her plump cheek another kiss before moving to begin his workday.
"Oh wow, this is beautiful, Liv," Abby said, surveying the high-rise apartment she and her daughter was going to be staying in.
Olivia shrugged her shoulder demurely. They had just arrived at the apartment from the airport. "I had the housekeeper stock the fridge and pantry, but if you need anything just let me know."
"Thank you and I will, but I doubt that I would need to. You've already done so much for us." Abby hugged her daughter to her side, who was being uncharacteristically shy. Olivia equated it to her being tired from their journey and the time difference.
"That's what friends are for," Olivia responded softly. Like she'd guessed, Brooklyn was indeed tired when she let out a long yawn, so she proposed, "why don't you go put her to bed while I set up something for us to eat?"
"Sounds good. Thank you."
"Don't mention it," Olivia reminded her again.
Ten minutes later, the two women were seated on barstools in the kitchen while they ate sandwiches they'd picked up on their way from the airport. They ate mostly in silence but the atmosphere was tense, not in an uncomfortable way but in a way that reminded them that this reunion wasn't a happy one. Olivia's heart ached for her friend. She couldn't fathom having her heart break in that way. Silence continued to reign even after they'd finished eating. She wasn't going to rush her to say anything. If she needed silence she was going to give that to her.
As Olivia stood and began clearing their mess, Abby finally spoke, " you know he was trying to stop me from coming. He said he was sorry and didn't mean to hurt me and I almost didn't come. I almost believed him." She stated incredulously. "But, I'm glad I came." She paused and with a pained smiled on her face she continued. "For the first time in months I can breathe and that in itself is a gift."
Olivia wiped the tears that had trickled down her face and went over to Abby and enveloped her in her arms. It was more for herself than her. She held her tightly as though her strength could somehow be transferred over. It was just what Abby needed to remove the mask. She returned the firm hold and cried. Even though they didn't speak on a regular that didn't discount how deep their friendship ran. True friends always have your back when you need them. And to her that was who Olivia was.
Back at the studio a few hours had passed, Fitz was checking his emails while Amia had woken up and had requested to watch Doc McStuffin videos on his phone since she'd left her iPad at home. Iya and Tommy had left the studio with Derrick to get lunch. While he was working Fitz heard an "oh oh" and looked across the room to see Mia wide-eyed with her right hand to her mouth and his iPhone close to her face.
"What is it?" Fitz asked, already thinking she'd somehow broken his phone.
She quickly clambered off the couch to run towards him. Once by his side, she thrust the phone into his hands as if it was on fire. Fitz looked at the screen and almost got a heart attack when he saw a naked picture of a woman on one of those porn sites in a very seductive position. Quickly closing out of the window, he asked, "How did this come up?"
Mia shrugged her shoulders with a terrified look on her face. "It just came up on the screen. I didn't do it, Daddy."
Fitz sensing her dread, assured, "I'm not blaming you, Baby. Daddy just wants to know how it popped up on the screen." He began surveying the browser history for the site his daughter was on and it all made sense when he checked the search bar, realizing what had gone wrong. Apparently, Mia had exited the Netflix app and was trying to type in Doc McStuffins into the search bar of Google but she spelt "dic" instead of doc and that somehow listed a bunch of unfavorable sites even though she didn't even spell out the entire word. Sighing, Fitz mentally chided himself for not being more preemptive. Normally, they didn't have to worry about stuff like this because her iPad was under parental control. However, he quickly reminded himself that he couldn't screen everything, since information was so easily accessible, but that didn't mean he wouldn't try.
Closing out entirely from Google, Fitz said, "you can only watch the show in Netflix. Don't click on anything else. Ok?"
Bobbing her head gleefully seeing that she wasn't in trouble, she agreed, "ok. But why was the lady naked and lying like that?"
Of course, Fitz thought. "I don't know, Mia." He lied. That seemed to quell her curiosity because she said nothing else and went back to the couch to resume watching one of her favorite shows.
Meanwhile, Derrick, Iya and Tommy were walking back from the bistro a block away from the studio with their lunch. Derrick of course was being his jovial self, telling them stories about what he was doing when he were their ages and it was usually something naughty. After all, he was a very mischievous kid. As the trio were making their way back in the cool October temperature something very disturbing happened. An older guy that was standing at the end of the sidewalk with black skinny jeans and a white hoodie started catcalling Iya.
Derrick who wasn't having any of that shit turned to him and said, "Yo, watch your mouth that's a minor you're talking to." But that didn't stop him from ogling her.
Iya was feeling uncomfortable with the way the guy was looking at her. She had noticed the older she got the more older guys would look at her when she was out in public and she hated it.
"So?" The pervert snide, grabbing her attention.
"So, if you don't shut the fuck up right now, so help me God I will shut it for you. And when I'm done I'll call the police on your perverted ass. Don't try me!"
By now a very small crowd had gathered at Derrick's raised voice. An older black woman who was trailing behind them stopped and gave the stranger a tongue-lashing. "What's wrong with you? You can see that's a baby. She may be tall but she's a young girl. Instead of going around verbally harassing women and girls, why don't you do something constructive with your time? Standing out on the street corner trying to catch a piece of tail. It's pathetic quite frankly and no one appreciates it. No one." She emphasized, glaring at him with flared nostrils.
Tommy was growing increasingly worried for his sister and without hesitation held her hand in his, pulling her close to him. No one was going to mess with her while he was there, he thought.
The loser seeing that he was outnumbered, drew back and proceeded to walk away.
Derrick turned to the lady and gave her a nod, wordlessly thanking her because no doubt he would've sacked the fucker. He didn't have patience to talk to him the way she did. No one messed with his adopted nephew and nieces.
As they resumed walking Derrick asked Iya if she was ok.
"Yea," she confirmed.
"If anyone gives you trouble, call me. You got that?"
"Yea, D," she smiled.
"And you too, lil man," he told Tommy.
"Roger that." Tommy gave a thumb up, still holding his sister's hand with his left one. When they were younger they were always protective of each other even though they fought a lot and it was still true to this day.
"By the way, sorry for cussing. Don't tell your parents I did in front of y'all," Derrick quipped and the siblings laughed before promising to eliminate that part.
They had finally reached the building the studio was located in when Tommy asked, "Were you really going to fight that dude?"
"Hell yeah, I was. Violence is not always the answer but sometimes it is. Don't quote me on that either."
Iya and Tommy laughed again as they made their way into the elevator that would lead them up to their father and sister. Now that they were in the safety of the elevator he finally let go of her hand.
Olivia was now at her gallery after making sure Abby and daughter was comfortable. That was almost three hours ago. She had a few work related things to take care of that couldn't wait any longer. For one she was drafting up a grant request for her mini photography school that was held during the week, anticipating that next year they could have twice as much student, which required money and probably a new venue. In addition, she needed to finalize the preparation for the Grand Canyon exhibition Gao was about to embark on. They were planning a Grand Canyon at night series for the gallery; since Olivia rarely took pictures anymore he had proposed to do so.
"Sure you don't want to come with me?" Gao teased. As a photographer he knew she was probably itching to go out into the fields again.
"Who's gonna look after my kids if I went away for a week? Olivia tossed, her eyes focused on the screen of her computer."
"You have Sam, your husband, his sister and husband; you have plenty people. Come on, Liv! Imagine being able to capture all that beauty at night. The sky. The rocks. You know you miss it!"
Olivia sighed and gave him a small smile. "I do. I can't remember the last time I did a proper shoot. My camera is filled with pictures of my kids not that I mind but…"
"See."
She laughed. She liked that Gao reminded her why she even went into this business. He kept her passion for photography alive. "I'll think about it. Might not be able to stay the entire week but a few days shouldn't hurt."
"That's what I'm talking about. All right, I am out of here." He got up from his seat after their brief meeting had ended.
"Can you send Sam in?"
"Sure."
"Thank you." Just then Olivia's cellphone began ringing. Looking at the caller ID she noticed that it was her husband. She answered, surprised that they were now calling her for the day. She had expected to hear from them much earlier with some complaint.
"Hello," she greeted in an upbeat tone.
"Mommy! It's me! Amia! What you doing?"
Olivia chuckled at the happy greeting. "I'm working, boo. What's up?"
"Nothing, I'm working, too."
Olivia heard Fitz's "oh really?" in the background and laughed out loud.
"Yes, Daddy! I'm working. Don't you see me writing my name?"
Olivia listened as the two went back and forth about what Amia constituted as "working" before she finally, remembered she was on the phone with her mother. "Oh yea, Mommy? Are you still there?" Before she could reply, Amia continued, "Daddy wants to know if you want to go to the mall after work."
"Why are we going to the mall?" Olivia asked, not in the mood to go anywhere but home.
"For our Halloween clothes."
Oh yea, Olivia had forgotten all about that and their upcoming Halloween party with the Beckham's the following Saturday. With everything going on with Abby her mind has been a bit scattered as of late. Plus, she wondered if Brooklyn would want to accompany them. She would have to ask them later. "Tell him sure."
"Hold on." She listened as Amia relayed her message to her father. "He says ok. Ok?"
"Ok. Where are your brother and sister?" Olivia queried, not hearing them in the background.
"With D, I'm with daddy, though. He said I have to stay close to him. Oh, mommy?"
"Yes?" Olivia answered; her daughter was full on rambling.
This time Amia dropped her voice to a loud whisper, "I saw a naked lady on daddy's phone."
"What?" Olivia asked, confused. She heard what she said but it just didn't make any sense but Amia repeated loudly, "I saw a naked lady on daddy's phone." Olivia was officially puzzled. What naked lady could that be? She mentally questioned. But before she could respond Fitz had taken the phone from her and said, "I can explain."
"You better," Olivia retorted. She wasn't upset but very curious as to why her three-year-old saw a naked picture of a woman on her husband's phone.
"Hold on." She listened as he told Mia to inform her siblings that they were leaving in the next half an hour. With that completed, he said, "Yes, dear, back to the topic at hand. Your daughter was trying to look up Doc McStuffin videos online and misspelt doc as dick without the k."
"Ohmygawwd."
"Mmhmmm."
"The internet is trying to ruin my baby." Olivia palmed her forehead. "Please tell me a naked woman was all she saw."
"I'm almost positive it was, because as soon as she saw it she handed over the phone to me."
Olivia sighed in relief. "Oh thank God!"
"You can say that again. So how are things with Abby? I didn't want to call earlier in case I was interrupting. She and Brooke settled in ok?"
"They are. You can tell both are a little shaken up but I believe that this time a part would do them some good."
"Oh good, looking forward to seeing them tomorrow."
Olivia smiled, glad that she had such an empathetic and understanding husband. "So, which mall are we going to?"
"I googled Halloween stores and there's one on 4th Avenue. We can start there since it is half way between us."
"Sounds good. Let me finish up here. I'll try to leave in the next thirty or so minutes. I love you."
"I love you, too."
The costume shopping was a bust at first. The Halloween store didn't have anything the kids liked so they ended up at Nordstrom, one of their favorite stores to shop at. Amia found her Elsa costume and Iya was able to recreate Misty Copeland's Essence Magazine shoot with a black tutu like skirt made out of feathers and a white leotard with the shoes to match. Tommy on the other hand had changed his mind from wanting to go as Drake to now go as a stormtrooper from Star Wars. Nordstrom didn't carry it so Olivia began looking up on her phone places they could order it. Luckily, they found a site that did and had ordered it with expected delivery so it would arrive in time. Neither adult picked out a costume because they found none appealing. They were either too raunchy or just not their taste. However, Olivia was able to find a beautiful new pair of royal blue tassel sandals and handbag to match even though she couldn't wear the shoes any time soon, given the approaching cold weather. They had the girls' version of it so she also bought her daughters matching pairs.
After shopping they went to an Italian restaurant for dinner. So while they were sitting catching up each other about their day, an old woman with her granddaughter came up to their table and asked Fitz if he was III Legend. When he confirmed he was, she asked for a picture of him because she was a big fan of his music and he graciously obliged. Her parting words to him were "I'm so sad you stopped singing," before rejoining her family at their table. Her words reminded Fitz of the invitation to sing at Rockefeller Center and thought it was a good time to share with his family, so he did.
"You should do it, babe," Olivia encouraged, giving the nape of his head a soothing rub.
"Yea Dad, I never saw you sing live before. You should do it," Iya buzzed in. "Do it do it."
And before long Tommy chimed in, "do it do it," and Amia chanted also, "do it do it."
Fitz laughed in concession as his family chanted for him. "Ok, I'm gonna do it!"
"Yay!" The chorused together, so much love and unity could be felt at that table.
They continued eating with minimum interruptions. Olivia assisted Amia with her pasta while simultaneously eating hers. The conversation continued to flow lightly. Lots of laughter complemented with good food. For dessert Olivia shared her tiramisu with Tommy since it was both of their favorite, Amia ate vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup drizzled on top, Iya had cannoli and Fitz enjoyed a simple panna cotta. During dessert Olivia thought it was a good time to share about their plans to rehire a nanny so the kids wouldn't be blindsided.
"Oh, kids, your dad and I have something to share with you."
Tommy stopped eating. "What? You're pregnant?"
"Huh?" Olivia tossed back; confused that he would jump to such conclusions.
"Never mind him and his big mouth. He doesn't think before he talks," Iya added.
"Oh hush! Like you do," Tommy countered.
"Ok, settle down you two. No one is pregnant. Goodness, why would you even say that? You know what? I don't even want to know."
Fitz snickered. One minute they were harmonized and the next they were dysfunctional. Meanwhile, Amia couldn't be bothered as she enjoyed her ice cream – the entire lower half of her face wearing it.
"Like I was saying, your dad and I will be meeting with some candidates next week for a full time nanny."
"What!" Iya exclaimed.
"Why?" Tommy asked.
Amia continued eating blissfully, happy in her own world.
Olivia knew she was going to get this reaction from her oldest two. "Well, for one we need someone responsible with you when we aren't there. Secondly, we need someone responsible with you when we are not there."
"But why? I'm almost thirteen in," Iya paused for a second and then said, "five months and thirteen days."
"Iya, you are too young to be watching over your brother and sister. I trust that you are capable of looking after yourself but I don't think it's wise to leave them in your care."
"Well you can take them with you since they're babies," she retorted.
"Hey! I'm gonna be 10," Tommy clarified.
"You're all my babies and we need to make sure you are fine at all times." Olivia assured.
"And we promise to hire someone you like. Ok?" Fitz chimed in, raising his eyebrows so that they know he meant business.
"I guess…" Iya said unenthused.
"Mmmkay..." Tommy murmured.
"Mommy, I need to go potty!" And just like that the tense atmosphere changed at Amia's loud announcement.
Later that night, when the kids had been washed and put to bed, after she had called to check in on Abby and Brooke, after the house alarm was set and she'd gotten herself ready for bed, she was lying wide awake. So much was on her mind that sleep wasn't coming easy. Fitz had already succumbed to sleep because after they'd gotten home from the restaurant he'd went down to their basement for a quick workout. She should've joined him but working out was the last thing on her mind. So much pent up emotions had Olivia sighing for the tenth time since she got into bed. She was just about to give up on sleep and go do some laundry or some other chore when Fitz spoke, "Honey, go to sleep."
"I can't. My mind won't turn off," she whispered.
She watched as he exhaled audibly before turning on the lamp on his side of the bed. The golden light quickly illuminated the dark room, revealing their silhouettes.
"I know what you need." Fitz stated with a gleam in his sleepy eyes.
"What's that?"
"Some good old fashion cunnilingus with a Grant twist. That'll put you right to sleep."
"Oh yea?" She asked, already liking the sound of his head between her legs.
"I think so. Want me to try?"
"I think so," she replied coyly despite of her brazened body. Her legs were already opened, revealing her panty less state.
"I think it may just work," Fitz drawled before situating himself between her silken legs.
And boy, did it work. Olivia allowed herself to just feel his skillful tongue lavish her the way he had eaten his panna cotta earlier. He teased and probed her clitoris until it was swollen and pulsing with need. He knew just where to probe and just how long to do so that it had her writhing with pleasure beneath him. When he inserted two thick digits into her channel – curved in just the right angle – it propelled her closer towards her climax.
"Oh God, that feels so gooood," she groaned. Her eyes shut tight and her toes already curled as every strand of hair on her body stood at attention. Her build up was almost there. She could feel it. Taste it. "Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!" she cried as the sensation intensified. Her back arched off the bed as her legs began to tremble and her inner walls involuntarily clamped around his hand in a sporadic motion.
Fitz mumbled his approval, which sent waves of reverberations throughout her body, stimulating her clit even more and prolonging her orgasm. She felt the delicious spread of pleasure washed over her for several seconds until it had subsided and just the pleasant lightness was left in its wake.
"Thank you!" she breathed breathlessly when her husband rolled onto his back.
"You're welcome. Now, go to sleep."
And sleep she went.
Author's Note: Hope you enjoyed this chapter. May be, I went a little overboard with the google "dic" results but this is fiction so I get to be a little extra…. Haha. Anyway, I really hoped you enjoyed this chapter and please be sure to leave a review. It is appreciated! Thank you!
Until next time,
XOXO.
