Hi guys. I've been gone for a long time, and I'm sorry. I've been extremely busy with university and a whole lot of personal stuff and I've been worrying about this fic for the past few months. I finally decided to reread it yesterday and my god, do I go on and on about nothing at all (at least in the beginning, I haven't read much past that). So, I've been wondering, since it's been more than 4 years since I started this fic, if I want to keep every story arch that I started going. The answer is no.

A few years ago, I had this cool thought of Valerie and her friends taking on wizards using their weapons. The wizards of course, would not suspect that they would just get hit with an attack like that, as they would expect pure magic. This is honestly not the most interesting to me now, as I know there would be wizards that could easily counter those attacks. This story arch, about the weapons and such, will be dropped whether I continue or rewrite this fanfiction.

There's also story archs like with the durmstrang students that I don't think will reappear again, to be honest. Just saying.

I would also just cut away the parts of the story that don't matter. You all don't need to read 'the scene where they sit at a table and eat food and talk' a thousand times over again. The story needs a lot of cutting like that.

It also shouldn't take me too long in rewriting the story, since it's mostly just cutting away parts and editing the already existing parts that I do like. So if you would like me to rewrite, but you're worried that there will be no progress at all with more new things (like Voldy), I really hope that I will be quick enough (and able to keep on gifting more story). It won't have too much of an impact. I will try to make notes when thinking about future chapters, so those won't take eternity like they do now, so don't worry too much about it.

But you know, there's also a certain charm to the relationships not being worked out at all and the writing being so… juvenile. It does almost sound like you're in the brain of an eleven-year-old in the first who knows how many chapters, and as I grew, so did my writing, and so did Valerie. I can understand if you guys would say that you found it fitting in the beginning since she's a small child. And of course, it's cute to read someone's first fanfiction. I can't deny smiling a lot because it's just really cute to read. You can see the progress I made in my writing in this fanfiction, and it's so adorably precious.

So, I will put this decision with you guys. I can understand if you would like me to continue just like this, or if you would like me to just edit small parts and leave the rest as is, or whatever. Linked below is a strawpoll. If you need to elaborate on your chosen answer, or just want to say something, you're always allowed to leave reviews. I usually respond to those with an account through private messaging, but if you don't have an account, you can leave guest reviews. I will still read them and love them, reviews used to really make my days a little brighter.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for reading my work, and I will hopefully see you again soon!
