Chapter 7: The Red Sea
The long journey took the slaves far from their masters to the Red Sea, where they rest their pride and herds. The slaves are now waiting for a miracle to happen, for something that will lead them to freedom. But troubles wasn't far behind, Mamlaka was chasing them down with all of his hyenas, they were just on the horizon, frightening the slaves. He charges down to the cornered slaves who were left with nowhere to run, doom was sure but then, god struck back at the all powerful King with a firey tornado, it carves a path of fire and stop the King in his track. Kovu saw the sky was darkening, and god was calling him to the sea. Kovu walks to the sea where god was instructing him to open a path in the sea. "With a mighty roar, you...shall do...MY WONDER!" Kovu roar with all of his strength, the sea then parted, opening a corridor in the middle, the slaves were all astonished by the wonder of the lord. Vitani and Kiara were both amazed at how much has been accomplished by god and his deliverer, all the doubts that Nuka once has of Kovu was gone in a second when he sees the sea parted. The slaves continues through the Red Sea, they light up torches to show the way, Vitani couldn't believe at how surreal it was to walk along the corridor of water, at every thunder from the sky, the sea light up and reveals whales and fishes of all kinds, casually swimming around like nothing happened.
But as they were through halfway, the fire that block Mamlaka faded away, leaving Mamlaka and his hyenas to see the Red Sea parted in front of them. Furious at Kovu and his god, Mamlaka charges into the Red Sea, slipping around the rocks and corals that were not familiar to him. His hyenas were also in the same perils, "Don't just stand there kill them! Kill them all!" Mamlaka roared and his hyenas were charging toward the slaves, who were running away from them. "The soldiers, they're coming!" Kovu saw a lion cub was wobbling behind the crowd, he ran back and pick up the cub by the scuf on his neck and ran away. It was then that Red Sea began to close the corridor around the hyenas, flooding the pathway that causes them to drowned, Mamlaka defiantly stand his ground resisting the sea, "Noooooooo!" He was immediately push away by the force of the sea. Washed ashore, and left to grieve alone. "Kovu! Kovu!" It was the same thing that he did when Kovu first ran away. He calls out to his brother's name, on one shore, while Kovu look back from another it was as if Kovu can still hear his brother callin to him. "Good bye brother." Kovu say his farewell to his brother and turn back to his people who are now safe from the King and free to their new land. "Look at your people Kovu, they are free. They are free." Kiara congratulated her husband and nuzzle him. It was Kovu's destiny to free his people from the man he called "Father", and he did it. Just like how it was foretold when he was borned, the slaves who are now free, continues their way to the promise land, a land of milk and honey like god has promised them. Along the way, Kovu carried with him, the Ten Commandments of God.
