The Yōkai Baby Ch. 19
"Inuyasha, get back here" Kagome yelled as she ran after the toddler. Ever since Sesshōmaru went missing that one fateful day, Kagome had been in a panic, what with trying to find The Lord of the Western Lands AND babysit the playful Inuyasha.
"Aki ome aki" Inuyasha squealed as he ran around the campsite, purposely hiding from the miko. Coming across the discarded sleeping bag, Inuyasha ducked in and pulled the covers over his head. Giggling quietly, Inuyasha peered over to see if Kagome had found him yet.
"Ome, kago" Inuyasha babbled as he continued to look around. Kagome, who secretly hid behind the curious pup crawled her way towards the sleeping bag, preparing for a launch.
"I GOT YOU" Kagome yelled as she swooped Inuyasha into her arms. Obviously frightened by the sudden attack, Inuyasha started to quiver his lip.
"Oh no" Kagome trembled as she saw the tears starting to spill.
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" Inuyasha screamed.
"It's ok, calm down Inuyasha" Kagome said as she rocked the baby around in her arms. Inuyasha, whose cries were heard across the forest continued to kick and scream. Kagome sighed to herself, wishing that she was back home again.

"Sesshōmaru, where are you going" Inukimi questioned her child as he crawled his way towards the exit of the palace. One of the servants, catching Sesshōmaru escaping grabbed the tot and handed him back to Inukimi. As soon as Sesshōmaru made contact with his mother's hands, he started to wail.
"WAAAAAAAAAAH. WAAAAAH" Sesshōmaru cried as Inukimi made haste to rock him as gently as she could.
"Shhh my little puppy. Calm down now" Inukimi whispered as she continuously rocked her now infant son. Sesshōmaru, persistent on crying continued to weep.

Feeding the hot ramen noodles to the hanyou, Kagome continued to survey the area in hopes of Sesshōmaru coming back. So far, he hadn't.
"Bo mo Bo mo ome" Inuyasha babbled as he reached his little hands towards the steamy cup, arousing his scent. As soon as Inuyasha's hands touched the styrofoam cup, he pulled back from the instant hotness protruding from it.
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAH" Inuyasha cried as he cradled his burnt palms. Kagome rocked him continuously, hoping to settle down the pup. Due to the night being filled with endless amounts of wails coming from the hanyou, she could assume that he wasn't planning on calming down anytime soon.

Settling Sesshōmaru in his crib, Inukimi gave him a soft kiss on his forehead, running her hands through his soft tresses. He giggled at her affection, reaching his little hands up towards her. She smiled at him, remembering the golden years she shared with her baby and deceased mate.
"Oh Inutaisho, if only you were here. You would get a kick out of your precious son being like this" Inukimi thought as she pulled the covers up to Sesshōmaru's neck, securing him with dozen of blankets, pillows, and toys. Rotating the hung mobile, Inukimi left the nursery as Sesshōmaru fell asleep to the mobile's quiet music. His dreams, though were not at all pleasant, as he dreamt of Rin being by his side. When he awoke to find no Rin, he quietly cried to himself.

Rin, who had left Kagome to be with Inuyasha walked alongside A Un, whom she had accompany her in her search for Sesshōmaru.
"Lord Sesshōmaru, where are you" Rin screamed as she continued to walk through the forest, until she had found an open flower field. Settling down for the night, Rin had made a fire while A Un had seated themselves next to her. Looking at the burning flames, Rin thought about Sesshōmaru.
"Oh lord Sesshōmaru, I hope you're safe" Rin mumbled as she fell asleep, leaning on A Un.
