~*~part five~*~

Hunter passed his hand over his face, sighing heavily as his green eyes met Randy's blue. "Randy..."

"I know you're not about to fucking tell me to fall in line!" Randy yelled. "If anybody should be falling in line it should be the kid! He walks around here thinking he's hot shit, and what the hell has he done around here, huh?! You tell me, Hunter, just what the hell that kid has done?!"

"And just what the hell have you done lately?!" Hunter roared. "If Reigns wasn't out of action because of his hernia, he would still be a permanent thorn in your side! You had chance after chance to take him out, and ultimately it cost you your title shot! You forced my hand into making a deal with Heyman and Lesnar, giving that Caveman your title shot against Cena at Summerslam! And you want to talk about how Seth has done nothing?!"

"Don't push me..." Randy growled, working his jaw as he took a step toward Hunter, bringing them nose to nose.

"Everyone is expendable." Hunter reminded, patting his long time friend on the shoulder.

"Babe..." Eva appeared in the locker room's doorway, hazel eyes flickering between her man and their boss.

"Do we understand each other?" The Game questioned The Viper.

"You were there when I told Steph it was crystal clear, weren't you?"

"Then we don't have to have this conversation again."

Eva, carefully, approached Randy; hazel eyes searching his clear blue. "Hey," She gently cupped his jaw, feeling the tension inside. "Are you okay?"

Randy tried to push her hand away, but she wouldn't let him. She could tell he was angry and feel the tension coming off him in waves. "Talk to me." She urged.

"Fucking Rollins." He growled. "Ever since that damned kid took those fucking steel chairs to the backs of Reigns and Ambrose, he's been nothin' but a pain in my ass. Thinkin' he's Hunter's new best friend, acting like he's hot shit and talking in Steph's ear with this fucking 'plan b' and bringing Cameron into The Authority."

"What do you mean Cameron's part of The Authority?" Genuine confusion painted the redhead's beautiful features.

"She made some kind of deal with Rollins, fuck if I know. All I know is during Nikki's match with AJ, Cameron interfered before AJ could get the pin on Nikki. If anyone should be brought into The Authority, it should be you. You're my girl, and I'm supposed to be Hunter's number one guy, but that don't mean shit. If Rollins says how high, Steph and Hunter jump, but fuck that. I'm 'The Legend Killer,' and who is that kid, huh?!"

"Babe," Eva kept her voice purposefully calm, stepping in front of Randy, bringing her hands to her shoulders. "You have to stay calm. You can't just go charging after Rollins..."

"The hell I can't! That kid needs to be put in his place, and if Hunter and Steph aren't going to do it, then I am!"

The two began grappling with each other, and eventually ended up on the floor; a tangle of arms and legs, both panting heavily.

Glaring, Eva pushed her vibrant red hair out of her eyes, as she pinned Randy underneath her. "I'm not letting you up until you calm the fuck down. Just like I'm not letting you ruin your career over this. Rollins isn't worth it."

Randy wanted, desperately, to push Eva off of him, but the last thing he wanted to do is put his hands on her. He never wanted her to be fearful of him. To see the look in her eyes that he saw in Stacy's and Stephanie's after he RKO'd them. Or Sam's when he had gotten angry enough to the point that he had physically shaken her, and narrowly missed punching her instead of the wall he ultimately did.

Sighing in defeat, he stopped struggling. "If anyone should be out there with Nikki," He was suddenly tender, stroking her cheek. "It should be you."

"Nothing's stopping me from going out there with Cameron and Nikki, you know? You can always talk to Stephanie, too." Her lips curled into a smirk, fingers raking down the strength in Randy's well-toned arms. "But you can do that later..." She bent forward, her breasts pressing against his chest while she drew his lips into a kiss.

"Eva..."

"Shhh..." She cooed, pressing her lips more insistently to his while rolling her hips against his.

Feeling the tension leave his body, Eva broke the kiss to trail her lips down his body, taking care to trace the muscles of his rippling pectorals before she reached the top of his trunks. Teasingly she lapped at his obliques, nipping at his bronzed skin, before pulling back to slowly peel his trunks from his legs.

He groaned lustily when his length was suddenly engulfed by the warmth of her mouth.

"Good lookin' out, girlie!" Nikki praised, hugging Cameron from behind as she bounded into the Diva's locker room.

Twisting herself, so she was facing the busty brunette, the blonde wore a cocky grin across her lips while flipping her hair over her shoulder. "I was for real when I told Rollins, I was gonna show out. AJ didn't know what hit her! And even after tonight, she ain't gonna see us comin'!"

As the two high-fived and bent to kiss each others cheeks, Naomi's disappointed tone broke through their celebration, "For real, Cam?"

Nikki yawned mockingly, patting her mouth with her hand before turning to face Naomi. "Let me guess, you're going to tell Cameron that she doesn't know what she's getting herself into? That trusting Stephanie is a bad idea? Save your sanctimonious act for someone who cares. Cameron," The brunette slung her arm around the blonde's shoulders, drawing her into her side. "Knows what's up. She's ready to shine, and as usual you're doing what you do best; trying to hold her back. Well, guess what, Naomi? She's done living in your shadow."

Naomi shook her head, sadly, large dark eyes locked on Cameron's ocher.

"Girl, bye." Cameron remarked, giving the black-haired Diva a dismissive wave. "You don't get to come up in here, and act all high and mighty, like you're better than me. I'm doin' what you don't have the guts to do," She was nose to nose, now, with her former best friend. "That's step up and take what I want. You go do you, goody two shoes, and see how far it gets you."

"You may be out of my shadow, but from where I'm standing, you just traded me in for Nikki." Naomi dealt a blow of her own. "And remember she punched her own twin. What do you think she's gonna do to you?"

"Don't even come at me with that mess. Brie deserved that punch. She came up here playing the victim when Nikki was the one getting put in handicap match after handicap match demanding' a match against Stephanie. A match that should've been Nikki's. She stole her sister's shine, and if I was Nikki, I would've laid her crunchy hippie ass out, too. I know where I stand with Nikki."

"You're a fool if you believe..."

"Oh, please." Nikki snapped as she rolled her eyes. "You're gonna stand here on your pedestal like you wouldn't have done the same thing to Brie if you were me. Brie's the reason I was in those handicap matches, and what the hell did you do while I was getting my ass handed to me by Eva and Summer and Alicia? Nothing, that's what. You stayed on the side lines like the scared little bitch you are. Just like Nattie, just like Emma and just like Paige. Cameron knows what's up." Her chocolate eyes beamed at her new friend, giving her cheek a loud-smacking kiss. "She's not afraid to get her hands dirty and to go after what she wants. Unlike the rest of you."

"What happened to the two of you?"

"Get outta here with your self-righteous mess you talkin'. Nikki and I know the score; it's about time you and Brie realized..."

"What?" Suddenly the other Bella Twin had entered the locker room. "Laying down with dogs means you'll get fleas?"

In the end, after the four women had come to blows, they had to be separated by Summer and Layla.

Pushing her hair out of her eyes, Cameron glared daggers at Naomi, as she wrenched out of Summer's grip. Now nose to nose with her former best friend, she told her, "This ain't gonna be settled here. It's gonna be settled in the ring, and you better come with everything. Cause I am."

Giving the other a harsh shove for good measure, the blonde stalked out of the locker room.

The next morning, Cameron found herself at the hotel's gym. All she could think about was the encounter she had with Naomi in the Diva's locker room the night before. She could feel her anger boiling. How dare that heifer talk to her like they were still best friends. Like she didn't know nothin' about nothin'. As if she had no clue how Cameron felt about her getting push after push, and all but leaving her "best friend" in the dust.

She was gonna pound the hell outta that bitch when they got into the ring. She was gonna show her who deserved the push.

Stephanie McMahon herself had signed off on Cameron joining The Authority, and having the approval of a McMahon meant everything in this business. And she also had Mr. Money In The Bank himself on her side also. He was gonna be the 'ace' up her sleeve. Naomi didn't know anything about her alliance with Seth, and Cameron was going to make sure she didn't. Not until the exact right moment, and then bam! She'd spring that ace on her, and she wouldn't know what hit her.

Just like AJ wouldn't when the time came.

Everyone always underestimated her and that stopped now.

In the far corner of the gym, the sassy blonde diva attacked the punching back with a ferocity, she hadn't felt racing through her veins, ever. With forceful kick after forceful kick, all Cameron could see was Naomi's face. Red colored her vision as she kicked and kicked. Then she punched and punched. And after, she was alternating; kick, puch, kick, punch.

She could feel herself slowing down, but she couldn't stop.

"Hey." Rough and low in her ear while strong fingers, gripped her wrists, stopping her momentum.

"What the hell?!" She all but shrieked, whirling around to face the owner of those fingers.

"Don't bite my head off." Warning through gritted teeth as heat flashed in familiar large brown eyes. "You asked me to help you, and that's what I'm going to do."

"You call stoppin' me from punching and kicking the hell out of this bag helping me?"

"Forget the bag. You and I are getting in the ring. That's why you sought me out isn't it? For my in ring expertise? Or was it for the same reasons as Nikki?" Cocky and large eyes twinkling as his suddenly lean and muscled frame was pressed against her slim and toned body.

Cameron was instantly surrounded by jasmine and amber. A wonderfully deep scent that was too irresistible not to breathe in. She didn't want to add more fuel to his cocky fire, but she couldn't stop her eyes from drifting down, the stern tendon of his neck begging her to look lower and then the slope of his strong shoulders inciting her eyes to go lower still.

She couldn't help but swallow at the sight of his bare chest so close.

Seeing it from a backstage monitor was one thing; up close like this was another.

Her pulse quickened and the low throaty chuckle she heard, told her he knew exactly what she was looking at. But, fuck, he couldn't be creepin' on her with no shirt if he didn't want her to stare.

"Cameron..." Taunting and enough so that she snapped back to reality.

"Don't even, okay? Actin' all innocent, like you ain't never seen yourself in a mirror. Boy, please."

"I thought it was boy bye?"

"Don't make fun of the way I talk!"

Not low and throaty, but bright and warm; revealing teeth and the little gap between the two front ones. His head was thrown back, hair that was tied into a bun, revealing the length of his neck which somehow was both graceful and strong.

And, for real, though did he have to look so damned good?

With all those nicely shaped wiry muscles on full display?

But at the same time looking like some little boy who enjoyed pulling on the pigtails of a little girl at the playground?

"Let's forget about the way you talk," He'd finally calmed down. "And concentrate on why you came to me in the first place."

"No." She knew she was acting childish, crossing her arms over her chest, nose in the air and pouting.

"No?" He arched a thick brow, voice raising slightly higher than normal.

"I was doing just fine before you showed up. And unless your bun," She pulled on the knot of hair at the top of his head, giggling when he winced. "Is so tight, it's cut off your brain's circulation, we don't have a ring to practice in, anyway. So you go do your fit-cross or whatever it is you do, and I'm gonna do what I do."

"Cross-Fit." He grumbled, glaring daggers. "And what is it exactly that you do?"

"Eva's the one who likes an audience in the gym. I do my work solo. But if you got a ring for us to practice in, boo boo," She smirked at the way his nose wrinkled. "Let's go."

Bouncing on her heels as if she was doing box jumps, she shadow boxed, acting like she was going to punch him, which made him laugh and shake his head.

His lips curled, not quite a smile and not quite a smirk. "What if I told you that, I did?"

Now, the table's were turned as Seth found Cameron pressing her every inch along his every inch. He was able to feel how toned she was, but also the curves of her frame. The weight of her breasts, firm and yet soft, were what was most distracting. Her gear showed them off well; the leather cupping them like reverent hands, but the sports bra she wore was down right criminal.

Only thin black material separated his skin from hers. An alluring, shimmering caramel. That smelled like mandarin and caramel. So heady and inciting.

And there was the softness of her flat stomach pressed against the hardness of his own. Along with those slim but obviously curved hips. Gorgeous.

"Remember," Sensual as manicured fingers raked along the stern tendon of his neck, searching for purchase as the nails drifted to his pecs. "Two can play this game."

Then there was a flick of blonde hair and a sashay of those damned hips, and along with that tempting body the smell of mandarin and caramel was gone.

Again, Seth was reminded that Cameron was trouble. It was still early in their little alliance, they were still feeling each other out, but he already knew she was slowly sinking under his skin. She had been able - twice - now to throw him off his game, to tilt his world - if only slightly - off its axis. Just the scent of her, the sight of her alluring body and that flirty nature. Mixed with the boldness of a minx. Of a woman who knew how to get what she wanted.

Letting out a deep breath through his nose, he felt like he was stepping into quicksand as he followed her out of the hotel's gym. Being in the ring with her – even if it was for training – wouldn't be like being in there with Dean or Roman.

This was a completely new scenario.

One that 'The Architect' wasn't sure he was necessarily prepared for.
