Chapter 13 Rescuing the chosen ones

Brianna and mew peaked out of the bushes in the forest and saw two guards at the front doors of the Team Rocket HQ. Hmmm, how do we get past them? Mew tapped Brianna on her shoulder. The girl turned her earpiece back on and heard Mew speak.

Brianna I can use any move possible. How can we get the guards away from that door?

I got it. Mew fly above the guards where they can't see you then use sleep powder. Brianna looked over at Lucario. When mew knocks them out, Lucario you and I will drag them away from the door so nobody sees them sleeping then we will tie them to a tree.

Suddenly Mew disappeared then reappeared above the Team Rocket members, she used sleep powder then they fell to the ground like two big babies. Lucario ran out of the bushes, grabbed one of the grunts, and then Brianna ran out of the bushes and grabbed the other grunt. They tied them to a tree in the forest, and then the girl ran over to the door, pulled out her Team Rocket badge, and then swiped it. Access Denied.

They deactivated my badge. Now what! Lucario cleared his throat then tapped Brianna on her shoulder. She turned around then Lucario opened his paw and she saw one of the grunts badges in his paw. Oh. Thanks Lucario. Brianna smiled.

Mew I am going to send you an image of Professor Sebastian with my mind. Transform into him.

When Mew transformed into Professor Sebastian Brianna's jaw dropped. She just transformed into a perfect copy of him.

Mew your disguise won't work if you can't play the part. Mew looked at Lucario.

She means you need to act like him.

Mew nodded then slowly turned her head towards Brianna. She smirked evilly then suddenly grabbed her then threw her up against the building. Let me go. That's very good. Brianna said nervously. Ok Mew teleport Lucario and shadows parents on the roof. Be careful everyone.

We will. When we get to the skylight above Sebastian's office and let you know if we see anyone.

Sounds good. Oh, before I forget I had these in my bag. Brianna pulled out a handful of earpieces then handed one to everyone and put on into Jasmines ear. When we are ready to make our escape I will contact you. Then you come running.

Now we can keep in touch and warn each other of any danger. Mew teleported Lucario and shadows parents on the roof. They went to the skylight then waited.

Alright Mew keeps that disguise. Mew nodded. Let's go.

Brianna and Mew quietly entered Team Rockets secret hideout. Brianna had her uniform on, dark sunglasses and a grunt hat on.

The Brightside is that Hun, Attila, Pierce, and Professor Sebastian would be the only ones that would be able to recognize me. This makes the job a little easier. Brianna pulled a map of the building out of her pocket. Ok Mew we need to make a left down this hallway then a right then turn left down this hallway and you will see a door that has Professor Sebastian on it. Alright act like we belong here. Brianna and Mew walked down the hallways they passed a few grunts along the way. They stood still like a solider when they saw Mew pass them because they actually thought that was the real Professor Sebastian. When Brianna and Mew were getting ready to make that last left to get to Sebastian's office, they saw Hun standing in front of the door. Oh no this isn't good, she will recognize me. Brianna and Mew hide in a closet nearby. Lucario can you hear me?

Loud and clear.

One of the high ranked Team Rocket members is guarding the way to Sebastian's office. I think that's Hun? Anyway we need a way to get her away from that door, any ideas?

Lucario looked around the roof for anything that could help him get Hun away from the door. He looked over at one of the corners of the roof and saw a loose brick. He picked it up, walked over to the skylight, slowly opened the skylight then dropped the brick onto Huns head.

Brianna gasped. What was that Lucario?

Hey, you needed a way to get her away from that door and I improvised. Don't worry I didn't kill her. She will have a nice bump on her head, but she will be ok.

Brianna and Mew looked around and saw the hallways were clear. Brianna and Mew grabbed Hun, dragged her into the closet, and tied her up with some rope they found in the closet, she tied a rag around her mouth then Brianna searched Huns pockets until she found her id badge.

We are going to need this. Brianna said.

Brianna and Mew quietly left the closet, went to Sebastian's office, swiped the id badge, opened the door, locked the door, shut the door behind them then they put a chair up in front of the door. Lucario saw then in the office then Mew transformed back into her normal form, disappeared out of the room, reappeared on the roof then she used teleport and teleported Lucario and Shadows parents into Sebastian's office.

Ok we don't have much time everyone. Professor Sebastian could return at any moment. Brianna said. Luckily Brianna was an excellent computer hacker and she hacked the good Drs Computer then brought up his file on Sebastian's experiments on Shadow and Akira. She opened the file then read it. Today is a day that could make Team Rocket history. We finally have total control over Akira Akari and her puppy Project Shadow. We can now run our necessary test to use their ability to give Team Rocket control over all the Pokémon in the Jhoto region. I have also started to build a portable machine that I built in my spare time incase either of them brake free or start to fought our control, I push a button and it sends out a signal that I call an Aura Pulse at them. This machine will continue to send this signal to anyone with this ability and it won't stop until it renders them unconscious. Giovanni is going to arrive later this week to train them to control their abilities. This will help us to make our plans a reality. Today we will be experimenting on them in lab a. I want to study their brainwaves to see how similar they are. I've already found out they can share pain, but their brainwaves may give us some more hidden clues to unlocking this ability further. Once we have everything we need, I will have to find test subjects to see if they can be controlled. We will try it on grunts and stolen Pokémon.

This is worse than I thought we have to free them and fast. Lucario said nervously.

Ok Lucario, stay here with Shadows parents and protect them. Also can you watch the cameras and let us know is heading towards us?

Brianna please save our son and his partner. Marie said.

I'll do everything I can to bring them back home to you safely.

Richard and Marie nodded.

When we leave lock this door and barricade it. Mew transformed back into Professor Sebastian. Brianna moved the furniture away from the door then unlocked the door. She peeked out the door and looked to see if the hallway was clear. Lucario how do the other hallways look?

All hallways are clear at the moment. Lucario said.

Perfect let's go. Brianna and Mew walked out of the office. Alright let's get to lab a. Ok Mew we make a right here then we go past the cells and behind this door here is lab a. Brianna and Mew continue to run down the hallway till the reach the door that leads to lab a. Brianna reached for the door handle when suddenly she heard some voices. Brianna looked around in a panic until she saw some lockers in the hallway that were open. She ran into one of the lockers, Mew transformed back into her normal form then flew into the locker, Brianna shut the locker door and kept as quiet as possible.

Suddenly Attila and Pierce came out of the door that lead to lab a. They walked in front of the locker Brianna and Mew was hiding in then stopped in the hallway. Brianna listened in on their conversation.

Isn't it wonderful Attila? Akira has finally seen things our way. Pierce said with a smirk on his face.

Yeah, it's about time. Now the good Drs can continue studying them without interruptions. Attila said. Maybe they can make this irreversible then make them one of us permanently. Then we will have her attack Professor Elm. We will need test subjects for the good Drs Experiments. Attila and Pierce chuckle evilly then walk down the hallway.

Whew that was close. Alright let's get to lab a. Mew transformed back into Professor Sebastian. They went to the door that lead to lab a then peaked in the window on the door. Brianna gasped. Mew covered her mouth. They saw Akira and Shadow floating in a tube full of blue liquid. They were both unconscious with oxygen masks on their faces and goggles over their eyes with wires all over their heads.

This is horrible Mew. Oh listen the Drs are saying something. Brianna whispered.

Ok. Brainwaves look good so far, hmm. Interesting their brainwaves look almost identical, other than Akira being a human and Shadow being a Pokémon it's a perfect match. This is truly fascinating! Professor Sebastian said smirking evilly.

Dr. Zager was looking down at his clipboard. Hmm. It looks like we can use this data of their brainwaves to help us with a hypnotic wave for that machine. If we can use both set of waves, we can isolate a pattern and use that to be able to control all the Pokémon in the Jhoto region, and possibly people as well. That will need more research though. We did use a crystal on Hypnos pendulum, but that was a little different. It kept our hooded friend under our control. Well, we can deal with that later.

For now let's download the results and wake up the girl and her puppy. Professor Sebastian starts to empty the tubes when Attila's voice was heard on their radio.

Professor Sebastian.

Yes, go ahead.

We found Hun tied up with a rag tied around her mouth. She also has a nice sized lump on her head. Her badge is also missing. I think we might have uninvited guests.

All three of you search the building. I have to get the girl and her puppy out of the tubes. Once I wake them up ill send them out to help you.

Suddenly Dr. Zager turned around. It can't be. Brianna?

Professor Sebastian turned around, looked at the window on the door. He saw Brianna and recognized her immediately. An evil smirk appeared on Sebastian face then he waved at her.

Brianna started to run down the hallway with Mew disguised at Sebastian running beside her. Guys hurry and open the office door they saw me.

Understood. Oh no. Brianna three members of Team Rocket are coming after you from three different directions.

Brianna almost made it to Sebastian's office when she saw Hun standing at the end of the hallway with her arms crossed.

Well, look who came crawling back. The Team Rocket trader. Hun said in a disgusted tone. I bet you had something to do with the lump on my head.

Mew suddenly had an idea. She grabbed Brianna by her neck then dragged her into Sebastian's office then slammed the door shut.

Hun chuckled. That girl is going to get it now.

Lucario put the furniture back in front of the door. That was to close. Thanks mew. Professor Sebastian, and Hun saw me. I'm sure everyone knows I'm here by now. We might have to come back for them later.

Lucario grabbed Brianna by her throat. We are not leaving them do you understand me?!

Ok.

Lucario let Brianna go. We must save those two no matter what happens. The world is in danger if they remain here. If we have to fight we will, but we fight as hard as we have to. No turning back.

Shadows parents nod. We are ready. The advantage we do have is they aren't expecting Mew and myself.

Professor Sebastian, , Akira and Shadow ran down the hallway until they saw Hun, Attila and Pierce standing in the hallway by his office. Hun saw Professor Sebastian running towards her. Hun has a confused look on her face. Sir how did you get here?

What are you talking about Hun? Professor Sebastian said.

You grabbed Brianna by her throat, you threw her into your office then slammed you door shut.

Really? Professor Sebastian knocked on his door.

It's probably Hun. Brianna moved the furniture then Mew opened the door. Where she opened the door she stared into the eyes of the real Professor Sebastian.

What is this?

Mew wasn't sure what to do so she took Sebastian's glasses off his face. He got angry then grabbed Mew by her throat and slammed her up against the wall. He took his glasses back, Mew got so scared that she couldn't keep her disguise then she turned back into her regular form. Professor Sebastian was so shocked to see a real Mew right in front of him he let Mew go and she went into the office. Brianna almost had the door shut when Attila kicked the door open. Brianna fell backwards and landed on the floor. She stood up then backed away from the door. Professor Sebastian, , Hun, Attila, Pierce, Akira and Shadow came into the office.

Well isn't this wonderful. Brianna your back and I believe you have something that belongs to me. Hand it over. Professor Sebastian said with an evil smirk on his face walking over to Brianna with his hand out.

Brianna backed away from Sebastian. You are not getting this device back. It's too dangerous to put such a powerful device in your evil clutches.

Then I will take that device from you by force. By the look of things my device has been successful. You used a Mew to help you get around here without getting noticed right away. I give you credit for that. Oh look, you brought shadows parents back to me. Who is in that cloak?

Lucario jumped in front of Brianna. You won't harm anyone in this room!

Who are you suppose to be?

My name or who I am is none of your business. Now give back the chosen ones or I will take them from you by force.

I have a better idea.

Dr. Zager said then typed something into his I pad. Suddenly Akira and shadow came into the office ready to defend Team Rocket.

What is your orders master? Akira and Shadow both said at the same time.

Brianna gasped. Release them immediately! She said in anger.

Sebastian ignored the girl.

typed something else in to his ipad then scanned Lucario and Mew. Sebastian you won't believe this. He said shocked by his findings.

This can't be possible. What is it Zager. Sebastian said.

They share the same ability as these two here.

What! All the Team Rocket members said at the same time.

Are you sure? Professor Sebastian asked.

Without a doubt, but these readings are much higher than Akira and Shadows. Sebastian if we had all four of them we would be unstoppable.

Lucario pulled his cloak off. All the Team Rocket members looked at Lucario in amazement. I've never seen a Lucario look like that. Hun said in a surprised tone.

Professor Sebastian's evil smirk reappeared. Everyone we are about to make two new friends.

Brianna jumped in front of Lucario. Leave them alone.

So first you steal from me then you want to defy me. Fine. Shadow and Akira.

Yes sir. They both said.

Eliminate the girl then bring the device back to me. Professor Sebastian said.

Shadow took a few steps forward chuckling evilly. With pleasure. So you want to cause my master trouble. Then I will take great pleasure in taking you down.

Son! Richard shouted.

Nobody in Team Rocket could understand what Richard said. All they heard was a loud bark. Shadow quickly looked to his right and he saw his parents. Mom, dad?

Akira looked over to shadows parents. Wait, didn't I free you guys?

An alarm starts to go off on Zagers device. Sebastian they are trying to break free from our control. Increase the collars hypnotic control. Dr. Zager typed something into his ipad. Suddenly Akira and Shadow dropped to the floor. Shadow howling in pain and Akira screaming in pain for a few seconds. They stood up and everyone saw their eyes glowing red.

Now destroy the girl, bring the device to me. Oh and bring those two Pokémon to me. They will be joining us soon. Professor Sebastian said.

Yes master. Akira ran over to Brianna, grabbed her then threw her to the floor. You dare disobey my master! You have made a very serious mistake. Akira changed into her Houndour form. Brianna was on her back on the floor as Akira lunged at her. Brianna put her feet up then kicked Akira in the chest. She yelped in pain.

Shadow ran up to Brianna. Aura Strike. He swung his sharp claws at the girl. Lucario uses Aura Sphere. His attack was a light purple color instead of blue because of his aura. The attack hit Shadow before he attacked Brianna. The Aura Sphere hit shadow then he flew into a wall on the other side of the room. Shadow fell to the ground and passed out.

Akira saw what happened. She slowly turned around with her fangs showing. You hurt my partner, now I will make sure you pay for that. Akira ran up to Lucario, she dodged his Aura Sphere, then she jumped onto Sebastian's desk then leaped at Lucario . Aura Strike! She yelled. The attack hit Lucario then she turned back into her regular form after knocking Lucario to the ground. Lucario looked deeply into her eyes to find out the source of the problem that was letting them control her. He saw the collar was using her aura to control her with that collar. Lucario tried to grab it, the girl kicked Lucario in the face then she saw him reaching for her ankle on the ground. She took her foot then stomped on his paw. Sorry pal nobody messes with my masters and gets away with it.

I'm starting to like this twerp. Attila said with his arms crossed smirking.

Mew, now. Lucario said in pain.

Mew used Psychic attack to keep Akira from moving. Lucario jumped to his feet, grabbed her collar with both his paws then ripped the collar in half. Mew stopped using the attack; the girl fell to the ground in a deep state of unconsciousness.

No! Dr. Zager yelled.

Now to free Shadow. Lucario said.

Madam X ran into the room with Hypno. Hypno use Hypnosis. Madam X said. Hypno started to swing his pendulum then a yellow streak of light came from the pendulum. Lucario dodged it, he disappeared then reappeared in front of Hypno. Lucario used Blaze Kick. The attack was so fast Hypno couldn't move out of the way in time and it knocked him out. Hypnos pendulum went flying, Mew caught it.

Shadow got back off the floor, he saw Professor Sebastian run up to Brianna, he bent down grabbed her by her shirt, pulled her up to her feet then looked into her eyes. He pulled back her hair and saw his prototype in her ear.

Thank you for returning my device. Professor Sebastian said.

I don't think so. Brianna grabbed Sebastian's wrist with both her hands trying to prevent him from taking the device from her ear. Sebastian was struggling against Brianna fighting for that device.

Everyone stop them. Don't let them take the girl and her puppy. Sebastian said in anger.

Hun, Pierce, Attila, tried to gang up on Lucario.

Brianna saw this then she called out to Mew for help. Mew stop Team Rocket in their tracks. Mew used Psychic attack at Team Rocket. The attack prevented them from moving. Shadow saw Team Rocket was in trouble, he ran over to Mew to free everyone. Mew saw Shadow racing towards her she used her Psychic attack on Shadow. It was ineffective. Lucario ran over to Shadow, grabbed him by his throat, then he took both his paws and ripped the collar off of Shadow then Lucario let go of him and he fell to the floor . He was in a deep state of unconsciousness. Sebastian looked over at Shadow, when he was distracted Brianna head butted him then kicked him in the chest and knocked him onto the floor in his office.

Lucario took the stone off of Hypnos pendulum then crushed it in his paw. Madam X dropped to her knees. The hood on her cloak falls off her head. Where am I? She put her hand on her head. Officer Jenny! Where are we? Office Jenny suddenly remembered she got a call about someone breaking into an abandoned factory. She tried to stand up, but suddenly she passed out.

Brianna we need to leave now. Ill grab Officer Jenny. Lucario said.

Jasmine its Brianna can you hear me?

Loud and clear.

We need to escape and fast. We are in Sebastian's office.

I'm on my way. Jasmine used Extreme Speed, she quickly ran around the building then suddenly crashed through the windows in Sebastian's office. Jasmine lay down on the floor. Everyone on fast, we need to go now! Jasmine exclaimed.

Lucario grabbed Officer Jenny, he put her on Jasmine first. Brianna dragged Akira over to Jasmine and Lucario put her on Jasmines back. Lucario ran over to Shadow, he put Shadow on Jasmines back then told Brianna to get onto her back. Brianna was running over to Jasmine when Professor Sebastian secretly threw a tracking device on Brianna. Lucario jumped out the window then Jasmine carrying Akira, Shadow, Officer Jenny and Brianna. Mew Team Rocket then flew out the window. Marie and Richard used Smog to cover their tracks then they both jumped out of the window and everyone ran into the forest.

No their gone! exclaimed. I'm sending the drones out.

Professor Sebastian started chuckling evilly. Everyone in the room looked over at Sebastian. Don't worry they won't get far. Professor Sebastian pulled out a small device with a red blinking moving light. Before Brianna escaped I threw a tracking device on her. We will meet them again. Then we will put all of them under my control.

Jasmine was running through the forest with Akira, Shadow, Officer Jenny and Brianna riding on her back. Lucario and Shadows parents were running beside her while Mew flew above them. Jasmine lets go to the police station. Brianna said.

No! Lucario shouted. We need a safe place to hide.

Brianna thought for a moment. Professor Elm.

Who? Lucario asked.

Professor Elm is a good man. He gave me my starter Pokémon and he helped me get started with my Pokémon journey.

Can you explain more about this Professor to me?

Sure. Professor Elm studies Pokémon. Not like Team Rocket. He doesn't steal them, he raises starter Pokémon from eggs then he gives them to people who are starting their Pokémon journey.

How does he pick these people?

He won't give a Pokémon to an evil person. When I went to apply for my starter Pokémon I went over to his lab. He asked me questions to see if I was a kind person and why I wanted to go on journey. He wouldn't give a starter to anyone like Team Rocket.

Interesting what are these starter Pokémon? Starter Pokémon are a set of three Pokémon that trainers get to choose from. In Jhoto are choices are the fire type Cyndaquil, The water type Totodile or the grass type Chikorita. Once a trainer chooses their starter they are given five Poke balls and a pokedex. The goal of a Pokémon trainer is to work together as a team and to beat the eight gyms of Jhoto. Then they go to the Pokémon League to face the best or the best to get the title of Pokémon master.

Which starter did you choose?

I'll show you when we get to Professor Elms lab. I have Professor Elm taking care of her while I was working with Team Rocket.

So how did Akira and Shadow become partners if Houndours are not a starter Pokémon?

I'm not sure. You could always ask them when we are at a safe place.

So Brianna how did you end up joining team Rocket.

After I left Professor Elms lab with my starter. I started down Route 29 when I saw a woman with light blue hair having trouble unlocking a cage on the side of the road. She looked like she having trouble so I ran up to her an offered a helping hand. Hello. Do you need any help?

The woman turned then looked at me said someone stole my Houndour. I tracked the person, who stole my friend down then had them arrested, but I had the police officer interrogate that person and the officer told me where to find my friend. I finally found him, but I can't seem to get this cage open to free him.

I can easily open that cage for you. I promise it's not a trick.

How can you get my friend out of that cage. Like this. Brianna rolled up her right sleeve with a device on her wrist.

What does that do? The woman asked.

I am a professional computer hacker. The device on my wrist here can scan this combination keypad and I will see the code pop up on the screen on my device.

Really, I have to see this. Brianna typed something into her device. The number 2248 popped up, she hit 2248 on the keypad on the cage then the cage door unlocked.

The woman put a leash on the Pokémon. Thank you for freeing my friend. By the way would you be interested in a good paying job?

What is the job? You would join Team Rocket and be are computer specialist.

It sounds like a good company to work for, but why would I need a job?

You're a Pokémon trainer right?

The woman points to the forest. Look a Charizard.

Where! Brianna said looking into the forest with an excited expression on her face. While Brianna was distracted the woman shot her with a tranquilizer dart. Ouch. Brianna saw a dart in her shoulder. You tricked me.

No I didn't. I can't let you see our base is yet.

The woman gets on her radio and calls for her helicopter. The helicopter arrives then lands in the middle of the path. A man with yellow hair, muscles and sunglasses jumped out of the helicopter. He saw a girl lying on the ground unconscious.

Hey Hun who is this?

Are new computer hacker. Attila grab the mutt and ill grab the girl.

Once Attila threw the Houndour on the chopper, Hun buckled Brianna into a seat on the helicopter then they took off for their base.

That is messed up Brianna.

Oh the story gets better Lucario.

What happened next?

Brianna looked at her watch. We still have twenty minutes left until we get to Professor Elms lab. Ok. So I woke up tied to a chair in this professor's office.

Oh you're awake.

Brianna started to panic. Who are you? Why did you kidnap me?

I am Professor Sebastian and we did not kidnap you. I apologize for Hun knocking you out, but it was a necessary evil.

A necessary evil?

We are major tech company. We have had some bad people break in here and we needed to find a reliable employee, but in case you were here to steal from us we knocked you out. We don't want anyone bad to ruin our good name. You can understand that right?

Yes. If it was my company I probably would have done the same thing. How can I prove to you that I will be a loyal employee?

What kind of skills can you offer us? Professor Sebastian asked.

Before Brianna could answer Hun spoke up. Sir. When I was on Route 29 my Houndour was in a cage and she used a device to figure out the combination and she had that cage open within a minute.

Interesting. Can you get me into my computer if I forgot my password?

That's easy.

Professor Sebastian snapped his fingers then Attila untied the girl. Brianna got out of the chair, walked over to Sebastian's desk then sat down in his chair. The girl rolled up her sleeve.

This device on my wrist allows me to scan anything that has a combination, password if you can break into it I can make it happen.

Really? Get into my computer.

Brianna turned the computer; she saw the screen to put his password in then scanned the computer with her device. Brianna looked at her device nervously.

What's wrong?

Your password is Team Rocket is evil?

Our passwords are randomly changed every day. In the morning I get a piece of paper with a new password. I can't take the chance that someone steals sensitive information.

Professor Sebastian shook Brianna's hand, Welcome to Team Rocket Inc. Your pay will be twenty dollars an hour. Hun get this girl her Team Rocket uniform.

Attila I need your assistance. They both look to see the girl was looking. When she was out of view, they started to chuckle evilly. Hun gave the girl a uniform like hers, a hat and dark sunglasses.

Didn't you think something wasn't quite right?

Not right away. Weeks later Professor Sebastian started to give me some odd jobs.

Like what?

Organizing a file called Stolen Pokémon. After I was finished organizing the file. I called Professor Sebastian to let him know the file was finished for him. Then I left me office to take a bathroom break. What I saw next really made me think that I wasn't doing the right thing and that this wasn't a legitimate business. I t was three months later. I was walking down the hallway to get to the restroom when I saw Hun dragging the same blue Houndour I freed from a cage on Route29. Hey quite dragging that Houndour. Don't hurt your friend! Brianna started to yell at Hun. We were next to a door that leads to a lab. Apparently Professor Sebastian heard me yelling at Hun from inside the lab.

He rushes out to find out what the problem was.

Let me into the lab Brianna. Hun yelled back at the girl.

He let me go then I ran to the bathroom. After I used the bathroom I saw Sebastian running out of his office. I saw his door was open, I ran into his office then locked the door. Something isn't right here and I am going to find out. Brianna sat at Sebastian's desk, used her device to find the password to his computer then she found a secret file called Project Shadow. I pulled the file up on his computer and saw a picture of the blue Houndour and under the picture it said this blue Houndour holds the key to Team Rockets success. With this Houndour I Professor Sebastian will use his ability to create a Pokémon army and rule the world. I knew something wasn't right. Suddenly the girl heard a knock on the door. I quickly exit the file then shut down the file. The person at the door used their badge to unlock the door. I saw an open window. I didn't think then I jumped out the window. Luckily his office was only six foot from the ground. I took off running to the front of the building; I used my badge, opened the door then walked to my computer then started on my work again. A couple hours later Attila knocked on my door to my office. Come in.

Oh hi Attila.

Professor Sebastian wanted me to come find you.

I don't know, but I can try. Brianna rolled up her sleeve then scanned the Houndours forehead. Interesting.

Brianna looked outside her door then saw everyone going into Sebastian's office. She quietly snuck up to the door then she put her ear up to the crack in the door to spy on their conversation.

Hun, Attila and Pierce I need all of you to go to New Bark Town and spy on Professor Elm. Find out when a girl name Akira Akari is coming to visit him. We are going to kidnap her.

Brianna was going to gasp, but she quickly covered her mouth.

She is or will be connected to this Pokémon. When I touched Houndour I got shocked. I had a vision of Akira. I saw her face, but I'm pretty sure she hasn't met this Pokémon yet. Brianna went back to her office then pretended to work. She heard a knock at the door. Brianna its Pierce.

Professor Elm came to the door. Hi Brianna. He saw Akira, Shadow and Officer Jenny on the ground unconscious. Hurry let's get everyone inside. We have to help them fast. Professor Elm held the door open Lucario carried Akira inside Professor Elm's library then put her on the couch. Brianna brought Shadow in, and then put him on the other side of the couch Akira was laying on. Professor Elm put an iv in Akira's hand then Shadows paw. He put a cold rag on both their heads and a warm blanket.

What about Officer Jenny? Lucario asked.

I put a gernie in my lab. She is laying on it with a cold rag on her head with a warm blanket.

Lucario put his paw on Akira then used Heal Pulse, then Shadow and Officer Jenny. That should help speed up the healing process. Lucario got up off the floor then walked over to Professor Elm. Professor Elm sat at a table in his library and Lucario sat in a chair next to Elm.

Meanwhile back at the Team Rocket HQ

Professor Sebastian had Butch, Cassidy, Jessie, James and Meowth cleaning the mess in Sebastian's office while a Team Rocket member worked on replacing the shattered windows in the office. picked up the collars that were ripped in half.

Professor Sebastian looked over at ; he took a piece of a collar that was violently ripped apart in his hand. I did indeed.

It looked like a Lucario. Normally they are found in the Sinnoh Region. I've never seen one that looked like that Lucario, and that Mew was able to turn into an exact copy of you Sebastian. One thing I did notice was that they both had the same markings on their foreheads as Akira and her puppy. Zager pulls up the scan he took of the two Pokémon, and then showed a comparison to Akira and Shadow. Look how massive their aura is in these two Pokémon, it's so bright. Now with our guests you can see their aura, but you can see it isn't as powerful or bright as Lucario and Mews.

Hun suddenly spoke up. So why don't we use all four of them.

Professor Sebastian and Dr. Zager smiled evilly at each other.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Attila said.

With what just happened there is no way we could possibly catch them without some special equipment or surveillance. Pierce said in an irritated tone.

Professor Sebastian smirked at Hun, Attila and Pierce. Everyone other than Hun, Attila Pierce please go to the break room and enjoy a meal while we take care of important business.

Yes sir. Cassidy, Butch, Jessie, James , Meowth and the rocket member said at the same , Butch, Jessie, James and Meowth left the office.

You are all correct. Now that these Pokémon are watching and protecting the girl and her puppy, I have no doubt we will have to be prepared to bring them back here. It won't be like Akira's escape attempts. I sent Giovanni the surveillance footage. He should have all the answers we need to bring them back by force. Said Professor Sebastian.

A few minutes later

Giovanni called Professor Sebastian. That's Giovanni now. I will put him on the screen so we can all hear what he has to say.

That Pokémon is born with a heart shaped mark on its forehead. One day they had a vision and it tells them the human they are to meet and share their ability with. Akira was born to become an aura guardian with Shadow. Lucario and Mew are the very first aura guardians. There job is to find the so called chosen ones and train them to control their abilities, and use their aura to protect them from people like us that seek that kind of power. That power that will make Team Rocket unstoppable. Lucario and Mew will be protecting the girl and her puppy. We are going to need surveillance to keep an eye on them to find a way to capture them. Zager I need you to get a collar on Akira and Shadow again. It's how we will draw Lucario and Mew out, but it won't be that easy. So I'm sending my two top spies into the field to find the girl. Their names are Annie and Oakley.

It's a good thought, but no. Giovanni said shaking his head. The police would be all over you in no time. We will capture wild Pokémon and use them as test subjects. We will also need to get Sebastian's device back from Brianna.

Very good. I'll send my spies to spy on them at Elms lab. In the meantime make sure everything is ready on your end.

Lucario was sitting in a chair next to Professor Elm at a table in his library. Professor Elm suddenly held out his hand to Lucario. He looked at him with a confused expression on his face.

No my friend it didn't. Professor Elm smiled at Lucario and he smiled back. It's truly an honor to meet you. You and Mew are the original aura guardians. Mew saved you in the forest when you were a Riolu. She trained you then, when you evolved she shared her ability with you.

Lucario gasped. How do you know us?

I'm a Pokémon professor. Not like Team Rocket. I help trainers start their Pokémon journey and I give them a starter Pokémon. They choose which one they want then I hand them five poke balls and a pokedex. When they catch more than six Pokémon they get sent to me and I study them and help raise and take care of the trainer's Pokémon. I tell all trainers the same thing when they come to me for a starter Pokémon. Always treat your Pokémon with love and respect. Your Pokémon journey will fail it the trainer doesn't have a bond. That bond is what helps a trainer and Pokémon grow together and it makes the experience so much more exciting and satisfying.

Lucario looked over at Akira and Shadow. I can sense a strong bond between those two.

Yes they do. It's terrible what Team Rocket has put them through. Brianna sent me a text and told me you guys rescued them. Then you rescued Officer Jenny.

I don't really know? There was a fight and when I destroyed a gem on a Hypnos pendulum. This lady was there and we rescued her.

Hold on one moment. Professor Elm got up out of his chair, walked over to a book shelf, pulled two books from the shelf then sat down in his chair. He put both books in front of Lucario.

Lucarios jaw dropped. The legend of the aura guardians. This other book talks about the people that I have trained in the past and their powers. The last chapter talks about that machine Team Rocket wants to build.

Professor Elm grabs Lucarios paws. Lucario I beg you and Mew please protect Akira and Shadow. Team Rocket wants to build the same machine that's in the last chapter. They will probably try to catch both of you as well.

They will never get the stones for this machine. I will make sure of that.

I hope you can keep that promise. Team Rocket thinks things will go exactly as planned, but that's not reality. In reality they will end up destroying everyone and everything on this beautiful planet.

Lucario grabbed the book to read it. I will personally make sure Team Rocket doesn't succeed.

Yes I did. I had a vision about you when Sebastian was experimenting on me. He touched my mark then he saw my vision about you. It's my fault you are in this mess Akira. I'm sorry. Tears fell from Shadows eyes.

Akira went over to her partner then held him in her arms. Shadow look deeply into my eyes. Shadow looked deeply into Akira's eyes. Do I look like I'm upset with you?

Dad she is with Team Rocket. She watched Team Rocket drag me into the lab. She could have stopped them, but she decided to let me be experimented on.

All Professor Elm could hear was a lot of barking.

Shadows mother walked up to her son. Shadow I know you are upset with her, but she is the reason we were able to rescue you and Akira.

I will go apologize to her. Let the professor remove you iv. Ok mom.

Professor Elm removed both their ivs then he put a bandage on his paw and the girls hand. Shadow jumped off the couch and hugged his parents. Mom, dad. I missed you.

Richard and Marie walked over to Akira. She hugged both of them. It's good to see you both escaped.

If it wasn't for your bravery we wouldn't be here. We would still be Team Rockets prisoners. We knew we had to repay you somehow, but we didn't know how to. When we found out you didn't escape we got worried then Brianna helped us come up with a plan then we rescued you guys.

Shadow jumped up on a chair next to the table Professor Elm was sitting at, he saw an apple in a bowl, he grabbed it with his mouth, jumped off the chair , walked up to Eevee then dropped it in front of her.

Jessica took a bite of the apple then smiled. I forgive you Shadow. Team Rocket must be stopped at all cost.

Shadow nodded. We will stop them from hurting anyone else. I promise. Friends? Shadow said then held out his paw.

Friends. Jessica touched Shadows paw with hers.

Suddenly Officer Jenny walked into the lab. Hello Akira.

Akira jumped. Madam X? She exclaimed.

No. Not at all. I got a call that someone was breaking into the abandoned factory. A guy named James called me then suddenly hung up. So I got on my motorcycle then went to the factory.

What happened next? Akira asked.

I parked my motorcycle, turned my flashlight on, and then I saw a woman with ice blue hair tied up to a chair. I took her gag off and she told me to hurry and untie her before the thieves came back. I quickly cut the ropes holding her. She gave me a hug then I felt her stab a needle into my shoulder. Before I could react I passed out, but as I was passing out I heard evil laughter all round me. When I finally woke up I saw another man. He had black hair with a white streak and glasses. Then that woman I untied was standing behind me. She held my head towards a Hypno. It was trying to hypnotize me. The next thing I know I'm here with all of you.

Well I. Akira said then Lucario covered the girl's mouth with his paw.

The less people who know what happened the better. Lucario said.

Officer Jenny's radio went off. Officer Jenny we have a 347. Ok I'll be right there. If any of you have any information about what happened to me do not hesitate to call me.

A police officer pulled up in front of Professor Elm's lab with Officer Jenny's motorcycle.

We checked that abandoned factory thoroughly, but it's just there is nothing there. It's just an old run down building.

Officer Jenny jumped on the back of the motorcycle. I want them found and I mean as soon as possible.

Yes Jenny. Officer Jenny and the police officer sped off on the bike.

I distracted her as long as I could. Professor Elm said with sweat running down his face.

Lucario I know I didn't imagine what I went through. We both saw a lab and lots of other stuff.

I know. It's very strange. Something doesn't make sense. Lucario said with a puzzled look on his face.

Without a doubt. I saw how they had those collars on both of you to control you both. I have no doubt you experienced a horrible situation.

When I worked for Team Rocket they told me during orientation that if an emergency happened they could move their base underground through tunnels to a new location.

It that is his name then yes. What you didn't see was after Team Rocket found out you snapped out of your trance they all ran after you. They knew you would try to dispose of the chapter. Attila was so angry the other members in his group laughed at him about that Jolteon, he threw that poke ball on that floor then said I don't need this useless Pokémon. So I have been looking after Jolteon, but Akira I really think this Pokémon would be a great addition to your team. This Jolteon is very strong and I think it would be in this Pokémon's best interest to have someone like you who loves Pokémon.

Akira bent down then concentrated on Jolteons mind. "Hi Jolteon my name is Akira. Would you like to be my Pokémon? I promise I won't abandon you and you might get your revenge on Team Rocket. Especially the guy who abandoned you. What do you think? This is your decision and I won't push you. So what do you think?

" Hi Akira. I would love to be your Pokémon on one condition."

"When we see Attila again you let me battle him. I want my revenge on him."

I overheard Professor Sebastian say he was working on different devices in his spare time. One is to help capture Akira and Shadow. The other is an evolution inducement wave. It will force Pokémon to evolve.

You mean they could force Shadow to evolve? Akira said nervously.

No. It won't work on Shadow. Lucario said.

What do you mean?

Its true Houndours evolve into Hounddoms, but Shadow has this aura mark as a Houndour. I didn't have my aura abilities until I was a Lucario. Mew waited for me to evolve because I wouldn't have been able to. Shadow cant evolve.

All the past Pokémon that had this ability couldn't evolve. For example one person had an Eevee with the ability. She couldn't evolve, but she was strong. Shadow is the first shiny Pokémon with this ability though.

Meanwhile outside Professor Elm's lab Annie and Oakley were hiding in a tree close to the lab. They recorded their entire conversation.

Back at Akira's house.

The girl ran inside then started to grab a couple of hoodies, two pairs of pants, a new pair of running shoes that were black with light blue shoe laces, some undergarments, socks and a bathing suit. Akira went into the bathroom to get a shower to get cleaned up. Shadow was laying on the girls bed with Lucario sitting next to him Mew was looking out the window, Brianna was sitting on the couch holding Jessica. Richard Marie and Jasmine sat outside to guard her house.

How are you holding up Shadow? Lucario asked.

I'm feeling better. Thank you for rescuing us.

When we were first captured Sebastian did an experiment on us and he shocked us to see how pain differed between us. Well when Sebastian finished experimenting on us she suddenly busted through her restraints. She turned into something like a Houndoom, but scary . She was so angry. She just started going crazy trying to attack Team Rocket while they taunted her. I tried to tell her to stop. It was like she couldn't hear me. He only thing she cared about was attacking Team Rocket. They threw ropes on her, tied her front paws then her rear paws together. She was growling at Sebastian then Pierce took a metal tray and hit her hard in the head, he knocked her out then they shot me with a few tranquilizer darts. Next thing we know we woke up in a cell. We kept trying to escape, then we got captured and it repeated. Then they made those collars to use our aura to hypnotize us, but that's not important. What is important is they perfected their collars and we couldn't break free. I guess you saw that.

I did.

They can also hypnotize Akira by saying look deeply into my eyes and listen to my voice.

I'm not sure how to stop that? I must train you both. That the best way I know to protect you both from getting captured again.

Shadow put his head down on the bed. He also had a worried look on his face. Lucario took his paw then lifted up Shadows head, he took his other paw and put it on the aura mark on Shadows forehead, then Lucario said sleep, his eyes glowed a light purple color. Shadow fell into a nice peaceful slumber.

Akira was coming out of the bathroom with her backpack all packed up with everything she needed. Shadow guess what? She said walking out of the bathroom. She gasped when she saw Lucario putting Shadow to sleep. What did you do to Shadow?! Akira said in anger. Suddenly her eyes glowed a dark purple. Let Shadow go now!

Akira I didn't hurt him. He is resting until we get to where we are going. By the way time is up. We are leaving.

Listen Lucario Shadow and I are not going anywhere with you!

Oh yes you are. Lucario got off the bed. My job is to protect you both and I am going to do that whether you like it or not.

Akira's nails grew longer, she ran up towards Lucario, he grabbed her wrist, and then he put his paw on her forehead. His eyes glowed a light purple color. Sleep. The girl fell into a deep peaceful sleep. Lucario threw Akira over his shoulder. Lucario suddenly felt like something wasnt right. He closed his eyes. We are being watched, but how? Lucario looked around the room then he saw a blinking red light on Brianna's shirt. He pulled it off then crushed it in his paw. They put a tracking device on you.

I can't believe I never noticed it.

Don't blame yourself they won't be able to follow us. I can sense two people are spying on us. Lucario and everyone else left Akira's house, locked the door then he put Akira, Shadow onto Jasmine. Brianna, Lucario and Shadows parents all hopped onto Jasmine.

Guys I can't hold all of you very long. Jasmine said.

Don't worry it won't be more than a few minutes. Lucario said.

Shadows parents used Smog until they were fully covered. Mew used teleport. When the Smog cleared they were gone.

Annie and Oakley were in the tree and saw everything. Did you see that Annie? Oakley said in a surprised tone.

We should get back to Professor Sebastian. We keep watching the drones. Once the drones find them we start setting up our trap. Then we can bring them back to the good Drs.

Meanwhile Lucario and Mew got everyone to their secret location quickly and safely. Jasmines legs gave out from under her. I can't carry you guys anymore.

Lucario and Mew carried Akira and Shadow into a room with a comfortable bed. Lucario pulled the blanket back then mew lowered Akira into the bed using Psychic. Lucario tucked her into the bed then fluffed her pillow then put it under her head. Then Mew lowered Shadow to the end of her bed then Lucario grabbed another blanket and coved him up with the blanket.

Lucario sighed. Akira has trouble trusting me. I blame Team Rocket for that. I will have to find a way to get her to understand I'm not going to hurt her.

Mew suddenly tapped Lucario on his shoulder. Yes Mew?

Oh I see. I bet Shadow parents could help us with Akira's trust. Thanks. Let's get back to everyone else.

They will be alright Mew. Let them sleep. When I was putting them to sleep I could sense how exhausted they still were. They have been through so much in such a small amount of time.

Yes that is a problem; we will have to deal with. We were being spied on. We got away without them being able to follow us. I guarantee it won't be the last time we see them though. We must train them. Let's go tell everyone our plan. Lucario and Mew walked out of the room to go find everyone and explain the danger they are all in.

Meanwhile back at the Team Rocket HQ

Professor Sebastian was a working on his computer in his office when he heard a knock on his door. Yes? Come in. Annie, Oakley, Hun, Attila, Pierce and Dr. Zager walked into his office. Pierce locked the door. Ah Annie and Oakley have returned. Excellent. What have you learned?

We learned a lot about our new friends. Oakley said. Have you watched the footage yet?

I have. Professor Sebastian said with an evil smirk on his face. So ill start. They escaped then went to Professor Elm's lab. I saw Akira was given Attila's Jolteon.

What! Attila said.

Calm down Attila. You didn't want that Pokémon anyway. Professor Sebastian said.

That Pokémon has a lot of power. Now that twerp has it.

She won't be able to escape us the next time week meet. It's not a huge loss. Anyway I saw Professor Elm gave Lucario another copy of that book we stole from the girl. I can finally read the chapter she destroyed. There is also a book about aura guardians. We might need Professor Elm, but that's only if we can't get those books, but I'm sure it won't be anything to worry about. Next the girl went back to her home. We saw Lucario put his paw on the mark on their foreheads and knock them out. Hmm. Interesting. They did, however destroy your tracking device. That's going to make it harder to find them. We sent the drones out and they are currently searching the Jhoto region. Annie and Oakley I want both of you to monitor the drone camera screens. If you see Akira or Shadow let us know immediately. Professor Sebastian said with a serious expression on his face.
