I was more or less asleep on a bar stool, leaning into Godric, when Ken burst through the door. "Sookie!" he called out as he stormed inside, and I felt Godric tense. "Eric?"

"They're not here," Pam said. They're not? I swore they were here… I twisted myself on the stool, facing towards the middle of the bar where Pam and Ken were as I squinted my blurry eyes, letting out a yawn.

"Sookie is, I feel her fear," Ken replied.

"She came here on her own. It's not our fault you weren't invited. Maybe she's afraid of you," Pam said.

"Did she say that?" Ken questioned.

"I don't think she wants you anymore."

"If you try to keep her from me, I will kill you."

"Not gonna happen," I scoffed from my stool. Other than Godric's arm tightening around me, I was ignored.

"Get a clue, Bill. I'm not the enemy!"

"I am older and stronger, you are no match for me."

"I could still fuck you up," I muttered, to myself because no one would listen to me.

"This is not just about your relationship, you infatuated tween. There's a bigger picture."

"Not for me."

Both of their fangs dropped, and Ken had Pam pinned to the wall. Godric wooshed away from my side, throwing Ken off of Pam in an instant. "Sookie!" Ken yelled out, making a dive for the basement door.

"Don't you want the key?" Pam asked, pulling silvermace out of her boobs, spraying Ken's face. "Colloidal silver, in stock and overpriced at your neighborhood health food store."

I remained on my stool, wasn't like there was much I could do, and reached to grab a bottle from the bar and took a sip. Vodka. Yum.

Ken growled, diving to Pam, but Godric grabbed onto him, stopping Ken in his place. Barbie and Yvetta, one of Blondie's dancers, suddenly showed up. No clue where the fuck they came from. Barbie dove for me while Godric was still holding Ken off Pam, wrapping a silver chain around my neck, and jesus fuck, ow. Godric released Ken, taking a step towards me, which gave Yvetta the chance to wrap silver around Pam's neck.

"Well, fuck a duck," I hissed out, looking at my now broken bottle of vodka spilling across the floor.

"Move and they die," Ken gritted out. Barbie tightened the chain on my neck, and Godric halted, a snarl on his face.

"What did they do to you?" Barbie asked Ken.

"Silver particles in the water," Ken explained.

"Your poor face… Can you see?"

"No, but I will heal."

"Not until we get it off you…"

"Make sure they're secure. And don't think of moving until we're gone," Ken said, directing the last part at Godric, who looked about ready to rip Ken's head off.

"Why did Eric throw me down there? Answer me, or Bill will spray you!" Barbie demanded, and Ken scooped up Pam's mace.

"You were supposed to be a gift for Edgington. Now we're all gonna die because of one freaky little human," Pam said with a sneer.

"Good," Barbie replied.

"We have to go, Eric may come back," Ken said. "Sookie, bring Anna to the door. Either of you try anything, Anna's dead."

Yvetta had tied Pam up to one of the stripper poles, so she followed Ken as Barbie tugged me after them, keeping me between Godric and them. At the door, I was released as Ken, Barbie, and Yvetta took off. Godric was at my side in an instant, yanking the silver from around my neck and tossing it aside.

I went to Pam, who was still silvered to the pole. She had her phone up to her ear,and I unwound the silver from her as she talked. "No shit. Bill and Sookie escaped and Yvetta cleaned out the cash." Pam hung up the phone.

"Everyone okay?" I asked after flinging the rest of the silver to the ground, glancing between the two vampires. Pam looked annoyed as fuck, Godric looked ready to commit mass murder. His fangs were still dropped, hands clenched into fists.

Pam must have seen his look on his face. "My apologies, Godric. I didn't mean for things to get so… out of hand."

"He's not pissed at you," I said, placing a hand on Godric's shoulder. He glanced over at me, fists unclencing, fangs vanishing, muscles relaxing.

Godric walked to Pam, cupping her face in a hand, "It's not your fault, child." Pam gave him a small smile, and he let his hand drop.

"So, what's the plan?" I asked after the tension in the room had drained.

"No fucking clue," Pam replied, straightening her clothes.

We looked to Godric, who tilted his head to the side. I raised a brow, but he held his index finger up, so I kept my face shut. A moment passed before he spoke. "Eric and Russell are bringing Bill and Sookie here."

"Oh, okay…" I said, nodding.

Godric gave me a smile. "Eric's going to use Sookie so Russell can day-walk. Trap him outside, so when Sookie's blood wears off, Russell will burn," he explained.

"Huh?"

"Sookie's part fairie. Her blood allows vampire to day-walk for a short time."

"How'd I miss this?" I asked.

"You fell asleep," Godric replied with a shrug.

"Ah… So, what do we do until they show up?" I asked.

Godric shrugged once more. "We wait."

"Hm. Anyone up for a game of Uno?" I asked.

Both vampires eyes me. "We don't have an Uno deck," Pam said.

"You just don't know where it is," I said with a smirk, going over to the bar and reaching behind the counter to where I had tapped one to the underside of the cupboard. I pulled it out, holding it up for the vamps to see. "So, Uno?" I asked.

Pam, Godric, and I were all sat around a table, eyeing each other as we held our cards in our hands, when the door burst open. Pam and Godric were on their feet in an instant, and I looked over to see a man, I'm assuming Edgington, manhandling Barbie inside. I looked back to the table where Pam and Godric had thrown their hands down. "You fucking cheat!" I groaned out, seeing the four color-change cards Godric had.

Godric glanced back over to me. "Just luck, Anna."

I pouted, picking the cards up as King Dickface sat Barbie down, not so gently, into one of the chairs. Blondie and Ken burst through the door, Blondie holding onto Ken's shoulder, leading him to the seat next to Barbie.

"Now, what is this about daywalking?" King Dickface asked. I finished putting the Uno deck away, once again tucking it under the counter. Godric stayed by my side, eyes never leaving KD.

"Stackhouse here is a fairy. Drink her blood, and you will be able to daywalk," Blondie explained after chaining Ken's hands behind his back.

"Fairies? You seriously expect me to believe she's fairie," KD asked, pointing to Barbie. "A species extinct for millennia? If they ever existed at all. You think I wouldn't notice if there were fairies bouncing around in the world?"

"I didn't say she was full fairy. She's a human-fairy hybrid, which helps save her from detection" Blondie explained, "She may well be the last of her kind, your only chance to walk in the sun."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," KD said, rolling his eyes and approaching the bar, and with it, me. Godric kept himself between us, though his posture remained relaxed. KD placed a glass-urn, no clue where he pulled it from, onto the bar counter. It looked to be filled with red, slimy goo.

"Drink her blood. You'll see," Blondie said.

"Now that's just nuts! Nothing in my blood is a supernatural sunscreen for ya'll, why would you even think that?" Barbie exclaimed.

I noticed Blondie and Ken share a look. "Sookie, you're wrong. What Eric says is true." Interesting, a bromance between Ken and Blondie?

"No!"

"I never told you."

"Bill's experienced it for himself," Blondie interjected.

"Oh, well, that's reassuring," KD said, taking a seat across from Barbie and Ken, Blondie hovering next to the table. "A testimonial from the mendacious Mr. Compton."

"A new beginning? We'll start over?" Barbie spat out with a sneer, glaring at Ken.

"I can't force you to believe it. You'll have to see for yourself," Ken said, ignoring Barbie.

"Why are you doing this to me?" Barbie whimpered out.

"We've tried fighting him," Ken said, acknowledging Barbie, "We'll never win. If he develops a taste for your blood, he may let you live."

"Bill, please," Barbie pleased, tears forming in her eyes.

"So?" Blondie asked KD.

"I'm intrigued," KD replied.

"Excellent," Blondie replied, smirk on his face.

"I hate you!" Barbie yelled out. "I hate you all!" Seriously don't know what her problem was, I at least hadn't done anything to her.

"On one condition," KD said.

"Whatever you like," Blondie promised.

"You go first," KD said with a grin.

I felt my heart drop to my stomach. That wasn't part of the plan. "I'd love to," Blondie said, cocky-ass smirk on his face. Hated that fucking smirk.

"Eric. A word," Godric said.

"Excuse me," Blondie said to KD, before heading to his office, Godric following behind him. As soon as Godric had stepped away from me, Pam was at my side.

"The fuck is going on?" I hissed out to her. She just shook her head at me.

I worried my lip, hoping that Godric and Blondie were coming up with a brilliant plan. Barbie was pleading with Ken to get her out of the bar, away from everything. I rolled my eyes, because how the fuck was he supposed to do that?

KD was asking Barbie about her fairy powers when Blondie and Godric walked back into the room. Pam went to Blondie, and Godric was once again at my side.

"What's going on?" I whispered out. Godric's jaw clenched, and he wouldn't meet my gaze. "Godric?" When he didn't answer me, I looked over to Blondie and Pam. Blondie had Pam's face cupped in his hands, and he was kissing her forehead. "Godric?" I whimpered out, watching as Blondie walked away from Pam and joined KD, Ken, and Barbie once again.

"Shall we?" Blondie asked.

"Do let's," KD replied.

"One caveat, gentlemen. If you drain her completely, that's the last fairy bilood you'll ever drink," Ken warned.

"Hm, good point," Blondie said.

"We are schooled. Onward to adventure," KD said

"If this is you trying to help me, thanks for nothing," Barbie said, glaring at Ken.

Barbie looked to Blondie, who gently brushed his fingers against her cheek. They really had a weird, love-hate thing going on.

"Oh, for god's sake," KD groaned, reaching out to grab Barbie's arm. He pulled her down onto the table, fangs latching onto her wrist. Blondie's fangs clicked out, and he bit down onto Barbie's neck. They drank until Barbie stopped thrashing.

They both released her, stepping back. "Pam, the monitors?" Blondie requested, and KD joined Pam at the TVs as she turned them on, revealing security footage of the outside parking lot.

Blondie walked to the doors and stepped outside. Godric and I watched the monitors from a distance. We watched as Blondie walked out from underneath the awning, into the sun.

"Unchain me, I have to feed Sookie!" Ken demanded from his seat at the table. We all ignored him.

"It's fairies. Fucking fairies!" KD exclaimed. "Who knew?"

We watched as Blondie turned to face the security camera, motioning KD to head out.

"Let me go or she'll die!" Ken called out, and was once again ignored.

"My hands are shaking," KD laughed out. "I feel like a little child. Thousands of years of night. You can't know."

"What are you waiting for?" Pam asked him, urging him outside. He appeared on the monitor, taking a step into the sunlight.

"I have to feed Sookie. She needs my blood now! Pam, let me go!" Ken yelled.

I looked to Godric, blood tears dripping down his face. "What is going on?" I whimpered out, grasping at his arm.

"It's his choice," was all Godric said.

On the monitor, KD had joined Blondie. They stood side by side, and then Blondie moved, and joined them by the wrists, linking them together.

Blondie planned to burn, too. To make sure Edgington stayed outside and burned, Blondie was going to die.
