So, I know a lot of you are pissed that I haven't updated in soooo long. And you have the right to be. But, I think there comes a point in every fanfiction author's life where writing these stories stops feeling like a fun little hobby and more like an assignment. And trust me when I say no one wants to do an assignment.

Xenia POV
Cold. It's so cold. Why is everything so cold? I can't see, everything is dark. It hurts. Why do they do this to me? Humans, they keep hurting me and for what? Damn them. Damn all of them.
They all deserve to die.
Cold.
It's so cold.
"Xenia?"
What? Who is that?
"Xenia?"
That voice. It's so warm. Why do they sound worried? They . . . she's . . .
"XENIA?!"
Jessica?!
"XENIA, HELP ME!"
Jessica! No! Not all humans deserve to die. She doesn't! She is kind, caring, AND THEY'RE HURTING HER! I'LL KILL THEM!
"Don't worry Jessica! I'm coming!"

Jessica POV
It's far too quiet. That's never good. Whenever it's quiet it means two things: they're planning something, or I'm left to my own thoughts. That's a one way ticket to bat-shit crazy land. I haven't heard from Xenia in a while. I just hope she's still alright. I don't know what I feel towards her. Even thinking of what we last talked about gives me a head ache. I was never good with feelings, but I know for a fact I wouldn't be able to live with myself if something happened to her. She is important to me even if I don't know in what way. Do I love her? I don't have a fucking clue but I care for her. I won't let anything happen to her. Not that I'm in a position to actually do anything. Who knows what they're doing to her right now and I can't do a thing about it. No damn it don't think like that. I looked around the room, hoping to keep away those bad thoughts. It seemed like your standard observation room, large window with reinforced bullet and shatter proof glass, flickering florescent lights (Seriously, it's 2190 shouldn't they have better lighting systems?), and a door for . . . actually I don't know what that door is for. Just looks like a door really, nothing special about it. Overall it's a pretty empty room. Clean, quiet, actually pretty comfortable in here. And that's when Dr. Douche decides to break the silence. God dammit.
"How are we today Jessica?" the king of assholes says from the observation window. Damn his voice gives me goose bumps. Just the way he talks is downright creepy. I wonder if Xenia ever had to deal with this when she was imprisoned.
"Going to stay silent are we? No matter, we don't need you to speak. Send in the specimen."
Oh, I really don't like what he meant by specimen. The sound of the door to the right of the window opening draws my attention. Oh so that's what that door is for. Fuck.
Right through the door walks in a xenomorph. I'm screwed. How do I know? Because the only thing the damn thing is saying is muttering 'kill' over and over again. And guess who's in the same room just ready to be slaughtered.
"Xenia?" She can get the thing to stop right? It's not too crazy is it? "Xenia?"
I can feel her stirring through the link. Good: She's alive. Bad: the crazy xeno with me in the room has finally noticed me. Really bad: it's coming this way.
"XENIA?!"
"Kill, kill, kill, kill, KILL!"
"XENIA, HELP ME!"
I closed my eyes just as the thing lunged. This is it. I'm sorry Xenia. I'm sorry I couldn't do anything to help you. I'm sorry I got you into this mess.
"Didn't I tell you it isn't your fault?"
"Xenia?"
I opened my eyes and sure enough, the xeno was just standing there. Granted he was standing two inches from my face with his tail poised to impale me but hey he stopped. I released a very heavy sigh of relief. The xeno backed away from me slowly no longer just muttering kill.
"Thank you Xenia."
"I told you nothing will harm you while I'm still alive. Now as for you."
The xeno flinched almost as if preparing for a scolding from a mother. I suppose that's exactly what is happening.
"You will need a name young one. Do you have anything in mind?" The xeno was silent for a moment, probably thinking of a name. Finally he spoke up.
"Q."
"Q. Very well Q, listen closely. No one is to harm this human understand? Any who dare try to harm her you are to tear them apart."
"Yes mother," Q said with a nod.
"Incredible." Shit, I keep forgetting about him. "First the Queen stops when you are in danger, now a mindless drone refuses to attack you." Q snarled at being called mindless. I don't blame him. "What is it about you that keeps xenomorphs from attacking you?" I keep silent. No need to tell this asshole anything. "Ah well. That's what we're here to find out after all. Return the specimen to his cage."
Q hisses menacingly at the doctor. If I don't do something this will end badly.
"Do what they say Q. They'll kill you otherwise." Q turns to me for a moment, undoubtedly wondering whether to listen to me or not.
"Listen to her Q. From now on treat an order from her as if it came from me."
"Yes mother." And without any protest he left through the door he came in earlier. I look back to the window to see the doctor wearing yet another unsettling grin. I really hope I don't regret sending Q away.
"Send in the next specimen."
Yep. Regret. There is a lot of that. The door opened once again and I knew instantly something was wrong. The xenomorph that entered the room was a drone like Q, but unlike him this one wore a gray plate on his forehead just above his top teeth. The thing seemed to be drilled into his skin. Not only that but he just stood there, completely silent.
"Hello? Can you hear me?" It gave no inclination that it heard me. It just stood there, almost as if it were dead.
"Kill her."
Oh fuck.
The thing is definitely alive; it's bared teeth and growls proving that without a doubt. It stalked toward me, slowly and threateningly.
"Stop," it didn't. "Stop, please. Xenia?"
"Stop." It didn't stop. It came closer, its tail swaying behind it. "I am your queen I order you to stop!" Xenia was practically screaming in my mind but it kept coming as if it couldn't hear her. When it finally reached me it raised its tail, ready to impale me.
"STOP!" The tail shot forward.
"Stop." Just like that, not an inch from my face, it stopped.
"Excellent test I would say," the doctor spoke. I barely heard him with my heart pounding in my ears. "Return to your cage." The xeno left through the door leaving me alone in the room. "Good night Jessica, we'll continue the tests some other time." With that he left. I collapsed onto the wall behind me sliding down to the ground.
"Xenia, what was that? How was he able to control it?"
"That's what the humans want with me, to make them weapons. After all these years they finally did it."
"What does this mean Xenia? If they can control your children-"
"It means we cannot stay here. Get your rest Jessica, tomorrow we are getting out of here."
While researching Alien for this chapter, I learned Prometheus took place in 2093. The fuck? How the hell are they capable of reaching another freaking solar system eighty years from now? As much as we may not like it progress is slow people. It will probably take us hundreds of years to reach that state of technological advancement. Just saying. Next chapter will be the great escape. I'll probably update Power of Snow and Faunus and her Winchester first though so you'll have to wait a bit. Not as much as before so don't worry.
