Pine Trees
MTUL: I actually have nothing to say about this story. So, Enjoy!

This was all her fault! If she wasn't so careless, so weak she wouldn't have been caught. Then Dipper wouldn't have to help her run for their lives.
They were running, her and Dipper, from probably the most dangerous creature out of everything in this forsaken town. And all because she had stepped on a twig.
Looking at her brother, she could clearly see the terror sinking in. She wondered on how she looked, probably shocked and panicked; why else would her own brother be so intent on gripping her hand so that she wouldn't lag behind.
Taking a glance over her shoulder she saw that they were far ahead of their predator. Because that's what they were; prey to be hunted.
All of a sudden her brother violently lurched to a halt. She bumped into him from the suddenness of the stop. His face was set in stone- a hard look of determination that she's only seen a few times.
Looking around he pushed her behind a bush.
"Now, stay down, keep quiet, and most importantly: do not follow me" he told her.
No. Please don't leave me.
Throwing a quick glance over his shoulder he began to pick up his pace.
"I'm the one he wants, okay? I swear when I get away I'll come back for you."
No! Don't do it! He's going to kill you. I'm the one who should sacrifice my life for you!
"I love you Mabel." And with that he quickly ran away from her hiding spot.
Jumping up and down he screamed "I'm over here!"
After gaining the attention of the creature he turned and ran as fast as his feet could carry him, with the being of malevolence right behind him.
For what seemed like forever Mabel stayed where she was, waiting patiently and hopefully for her brother to come back. Lying down with her knees to her chest she took in the cold summer night. All around her was darkness which slowly consumed her, the forest was closing in on her- there truly was no escape.
Dipper never came back.
It was almost daybreak when she got up. Walking alone in the forest she let her feet guide her. With no destination in mind she willowed in her own misery.
It wasn't until she felt something drip on her forehead that she was brought back down to earth. With a shaky hand she raised it to her forehead. After smearing the substance on her hand she brought it to her face to see what it was. Immediately she smelt the metallic smell of blood and saw the dreaded substance. Looking up she couldn't help but scream.
There her brother was, hanging limply with a branch impaled through his stomach.
Falling to the ground she grabbed her head and continued screaming her heart out. She could hear his voice echoing in her head, laughing at her torment.
"Ahaha Pine Tree was killed by a pine tree!"
