I do not own fairy tail

Definition of Destruction

Natsu ran out of the hospital quick enough before anyone could catch the single tear rolling down his cheek.

His mind was racing, all the possibilities for the heart monitor to cease beeping. Natsu was never one to believe in hope but godamnit that was all he had now.

Cobra raced out after Natsu, seeing his boss crouched on the ground right outside of the hospitals secret back door. Cobra was taken aback to see his boss in such a comprimising position, it's never like anything he'd ever seen before, ever.

"Someone could have tripped over the plug." Natsu said, turning up in a hurry to face Cobra, the hospital. "Man, take a breath." Cobra said, easing his friend to a nearby bench.

"No, get the fuck off me Cobra, it's my fault Lucy lost her memories in the first place! I was away at a fucking training camp with Igneel. If I was home I could have saved her, I could have saved them all. -" Natsu yelled shaking him off, a quick reminder to Cobra of where he stands. "- Someone could have tripped over the plug of the heart machine, that's why it stopped beating. Luce is fine." Natsu reasoned, but even as his own words were leaving his mouth it sounded impossible.

"I know this isn't easy Natsu, but the sooner you come to grips with-"

"Shut the fuck up Cobra! Do you need another reminder, I don't even know why I kept a bitch around like you. Your fired, leave Nightshade and Magnolia now." Natsu raged, ripping off Cobras gun from his belt and turning away.

No movement was heard from Cobra until a single scoff echoed in the remote entrance. "No wonder Lucy tried to fucking kill herself, anything to get away from your miserable self."

That was all it took for Natsu to flip at the speed of light an imprint a bullet between Cobra's eyes before he could continue his closing remarks; it was now Natsu's turn to scoff.

"My miserable self, tch. He even sounded like a little bitch right to the end." He slid his silenced gun back into his belt and turned to the hospital doors, resuming his list of possibilities.

The snap of a twig came around from the building and Natsu turned, aiming his gun at the intruder.

It was not who he had expected to see, especially now.

Meanwhile, in a distant town, a man sat in a chair all lonesome in his office. His fingers flew all over his keyboard, typing up his latest report. Paperwork had never been his thing, personally he regarded himself as a feild agent. Unfortunately this is the kind of shit you have to deal with when you run a Mafia.

Accidentally, he clicked the escape button on his laptop and the documents he had been slaving over disapeared. His face stared into the one of a young blonde girl, a depressing glint shaded over the mans eyes; pure despair.

"Oh Lucy.." He sighed, running his hands through his own blonde hair.

Suddenly a man burst through the room and made eye contact with the boss who stood up in shock, and maybe hope.

"Sir..." But the man didn't need to say any more.

He knew.

Erza and Gray stood there, watching Natsu in all his horror. They knew their childhood friend had changed, but to murder someone in cold daylight.

Someone he had trusted.

What does that mean for the two witnesses?

"Natsu.." Erza gasped, her eyes wide and shaking. Natsu quickly regained his composure to hide his worry.

"Gray, I'd like to think you would have showed respect to your unrequited love and leave her in peace." Natsu sighed, fixing the cuffs on his leather jacket before standing before them strong and confident.

Erza took a deep breath and began walking confidentaly to the door, "you cannot hoarde her Natsu." She said strongly.

Natsu slammed his hand on the door as Erza gripped the handle, almost closelining her. Her eyes met his, and in a matter of seconds, Erza could tell.

-Flashback-

"Natsu!" A young Erza yelled through the downpour of what was supposed to be a sunny July afternoon. She saw her friend sitting alone on the swings and ran to his aid, that was just how she was.

It was apparent that Natsu did not notice because of how loud the little boy screamed when Erza appeared.

"Are you stupid! Your going to catch a cold! What would your mother say if she saw you sitting here getting hypothermia." She scolded, reaching to grab Natsu's ear and drag him to safety.

But she froze once she made contact with his skin, because her eyes met his.

She saw death in his pupils, not a reflection or a glimmer but what almost appeared to be lifeless. His onyx eyes which were always swirls of colours and energy became plutonic.

"Leave me alone Erza." Natsu looked away, and began to pump his legs to move the swing. Young Erza winded up her arm and struck the boy across his face, "that's what you get for lying. You are sad. Explain." She demanded, pulling the boy off the swing.

She watched as a single tear shed from his eye and mixed with the rain pouring down his cheek.

"I-It's Ultear.."

-EndOfFlashback-

She couldn't even see her reflecting in Natsu's cold front, so she grabbed him.

Erza Scarlett took a dance with the devil and hugged Natsu in the middle of all his rage and his despair.

"What the fuck woman get off me." Natsu protested, but never fought her off.

Gray watched from the background, trusting Erza's read on Natsu. It was very unlikely for her to be wrong.

"It's okay Natsu, she's going to make it." Tears were forming in her own eyes as she hid them in Natsu's chest. Natsu felt his shirt wetten and closed his arms around his once friend.

"I don't think she's going to make it." He said breathless, using all of his breath to hold back his own tears which threatened to fall.

Gray leaned onto a tree for support as she heard Erza push off of Natsu, her small tears turned into a full blown sob.

"This is not like Ultear, or Lis. Lucy is stronger than that, she over came losing her memories and being attacked by a psychotic mob boss. She's alive damnit." Erza yelled through her tears, ripping open the door to the hospital and running inside and slamming it shut while the boys were stunned. On the inside, she flipped the switch to be locked, and ran to find Lucys room.

Natsu struggled with the door, "Did she only get crazier?" Natsu yelled as he struggled with the door.

"You have no idea." Gray chuckled, grabbing Cobras former gun and shooting the lock off. Instead of giving back the gang marked gun, he stuck it in his own belt and ran down the hallway after the red head.

His gesture was concrete.

When the reached halfway to Lucys room, they found Erza struggling with some security guards, the ones that protected Lucys wing. Gray sidetracked off the course to help free his friend but Natsu looked on.

He saw the lights still on in her room all the way down the corridor.

Is it possible?

His feet couldn't carry him any faster, he slid into Lucys room to be met with his favourite pair of creamy brown eyes.

"So are you finally going to tell me what Omnia Mea means?" Lucy asked groggily, shuffling up in her bed but wincing dude to the stitches in her arm.

Natsu bent over, releasing the breath he had been holding for what seemed like forever. He ran to Lucys side of the bed and came face to face with her.

Slowly and painfully, she lifted her arm to his face, wiping off the tears to his eyes that he hadn't noticed had fallen.

"You're forgiven." She said smiling, tears rushing to her own eyes.

With great force and passion, Natsu smashed his lips onto Lucy's. And for the first time, it was reciprocated.

Lucy had never imagined that Natsu would be the person she woke up too, but she was extremely happy it was him.

They pulled apart momentarily, Natsu's eyes scanning Lucy, making sure it was really her and this was reality, not a dream.
