-Start Chapter-

The sun crested over the waters of the San Fransokyo bay, and reflected off the white surface of a building. A crowd of reporters stood out front, quietly waiting for the moment when Alistair Krei would take the stage. Everyone was anxious for the opening ceremony of the new Krei Tech headquarters and University. One that would of course rival SFIT.

All was silent as the billionaire and his assistant confidently strode towards the podium on the stage that had been set up. The sound of papers resonated through the microphone as the company head prepared for the dramatic speech to thank everyone for all the support and effort that it had taken to complete this grand vision. One that would shine over the rest of the world like a beacon.

However, before he could begin a dark shadow began to loom over the congregation, blocking out the sun. A writhing mass of black climbed into the sky, towering over the crowd. Before falling forward onto the complex of buildings. Sending glass and tiny robots flying everywhere, causing the crowd to panic as they began running away. A few brave reporters choosing to back up to the street, but stayed in sight as they recorded the event.

Krei stood on the dais looking around wildly at the surrounding chaos. He and the other guests of honor could only scream when the platform they all stood on erupted upwards, as microbots carried them into the sky. Their horror filled gasps were cut short as the robots coiled around them and began to tighten, halting any cries for help.

Slowly from the mass of black a form began to take shape, as the villain Yokai appeared. His tiny minions carried him onto the campus, as all became still for his approach. Everyone currently being held up looked on as the white mask of the infamous Yokai shone against the writhing black nightmare he was controlling. With wide eyes and pained breaths they all watched as the head of the company was brought towards the imposing individual, as the kabuki mask began to raise up on its own.

"Robert!" the billionaire yelped as the robotics teacher revealed his face to everyone present. From the remaining news crews to the investors, the world now knew that Robert Callaghan was alive. And he was perfectly fine with his revenge being public. All the more people to learn of the pain that had been given to him.

"A year ago you took my daughter from me," the venomous words dripped from Callaghan's tongue like spikes, "Today I'm going to take everything from you."

Raising his hand into the air the columns of black, that were already casting shadows onto the campus, began to shift and move as large pieces of metal were carried above the new building. With dull thuds and loud clicks the segments came together, forming the very same portal that the two men had worked on together all that time ago. For the robotics expert it had felt like a lifetime since those days, the loss of his daughter weighing heavily on him. To the billionaire, this moment in time felt like an eternity as he could only watch as the malfunctioning portal was put back together before his eyes, and above his expensive new headquarters.

Thankfully, while the ring was now suspended overhead the familiar blue plasma didn't appear. Without a strong enough energy source the ring would never power on, but the ex-professor had already made plans for this. With a jerk of his hand the final piece to his instrument of revenge fell into place, the nuclear sub he had taken from military base locked onto the ring and began to hum with with a terrifying force.

The pull of the portal began once the plasma had filled the portal's chasy. It started softly at first, but soon the intensity picked up. The leftover pieces of construction materials, hidden on top of the roof, began floating towards the sky. With the larger and heavy pieces started to scrape across the ground as the pull became stronger.

With a calm grin Callaghan felt as if a weight had fallen off his shoulders, as all the pain and anguish he carried for the past year was pulled through the portal. As his heart slowly unclenched, so to did the tentacles holding Krei, his assistant, and the other people who had been on the raised platform when the attack started. As air returned to their lungs the trapped people began to whimper and moan in the hope that their pitiable groans would help them get away from the madman's grip.

Unfortunately the relieved sounds they made broke their captor from his peaceful state, and before anyone could regain enough breath to beg for mercy he decided to get rid of those he didn't care about. With a sick smile on his still unmasked face he raised the suit wearing investors further off the ground. A dismissing flick of his hands threw the group towards the still present reporters beside the nearby road. The vacumouse cone only encompassing the grounds of the new school, leaving the few brave souls a somewhat safe place to watch from.

As the men flew through the air, their screams of fear were soon drowned out by the sound of engines cutting through the sky. Before any of them could hit the unforgiving ground they were all grabbed out of the air by the bright red blur. Dropping the impromptu flyers near the other bystanders, a shining Baymax hovered in the air with Hiro on his back.

The rest of the team showed up soon after, except for one particular blonde. Who made his grand entrance as he crashed through the mass of micro bots still holding Krei and his assistant airborne. Breaking through the other side with the professional looking women carried in his arms like a princess, the fox themed hero appeared like a gallant knight. With only Krei remaining in his grasp, the dark dressed vilain began thrashing his tentacles around in an effort to keep his prize away from the super powered youth.

While his attention was on the young man the rest of the team gathered on the roof of a slowly unraveling building. Holding on to his robotic companion Hiro called out to the enraged professor, giving Naruto time to get the scared woman to safety. Unfortunately Callaghan decided that with the orange hero gone, he wasn't going to take any chances with Krei being taken away from him. Placing the billionaire against a wall and covering him in scrap metal to keep him from running away.

As the robotics expert began to argue with the group of students, making sure to keep all of them in his sight, the CEO took matters into his own hands. As the young genius tried to convince his idol that his daughter wouldn't have wanted for him to just destroy in her name for vengeance, the business man was able to get a finger over his wrist watch. With a pained expression as the metal holding him in place tore against his designer suit and dug at his skin, the desperate man twisted his watch and sighed in relief as a siren rang throughout the campus.

A wide range of differently sized robots began to cover over the grounds. Moving around with mechanical precision the metal beasts began to charge towards mid-aged man and the team of young heros. With a beastial yell Callaghan sung his arm to sweep aside the charging machines, only for the small Krei Tech bots to stop the swinging tentacle with a strength that belied their size. Having already learned how to counter overly strong opponents, the enraged scientist simply ordered his bots to grab hold and throw.

With the nuscinses out of the way for now Callaghan returned his attention to the group of heros, "If you ever needed to see why he must be punished for everything he's done, just look at how he only thinks of himself and sics his security force to attack anyone in his way," the professor said in a deathly calm tone. Lowering the mask over his face once again and with just a passing look towards the group of students, headed towards battle atop his mound of black. Security robots being pushed aside as he moved deeper into the campus.

With barley a second thought Hiro jumped onto Baymax and rocketed towards Yokai, most of the team following closely behind. Only Wasabi stayed on the roof, trying to calm the other heros and pointing out that they were still lacking a real plan other than "get the mask." Thankfully the dreadlocked man's cautious nature allowed him to remind everyone that there was more danger than just the stolen microbots. Specifically the nuclear submarine that was powering the portal they needed to stop. Naruto's response that he and Baymax could probably throw it over the ocean did not fill the man with confidence.

Any further worries from the man were met with silence as the team began their attack. GoGo slid down the side of the wall, the curved side of the building let her glide around easily. She threw several disks towards her former professor, intent on knocking the mask loose. Unfortunately her momentum was halted as a single arm of microbts swept against her legs and knocked her down. Before she could stand a barrier made of the tiny robots formed over her, creating a dark spherical cocoon that completely encased her. Letting little more than flecks of light into her prison.

Honey and Fred were captured almost as quickly. The fire breathing mascot was held in place as his arms and legs were stretched in different directions. Honey fared a little better as she dodged several spikes, but was forced to take cover under a dome of her own chemical creation. A frothy shield concocted from her purse kept the assaulting tendrils away, but cracks were quickly forming in the pinkish material.

Somewhere along the way Hiro had gotten separated from Baymax, leaving the young genius to hold onto anything he could while the portal above was still pulling up bits and pieces. The nurse bot had originally been focused on staying in the air away from the V.I.L.E. infected guards that could potentially corrupt his own systems, and once again turn him against the team. No one was really eager to find out if that was even possible.

This constant fear for the robot's free will caused Hiro to make several erratic decisions. Worst of which was his choice to not focus on Callaghan. It wasn't a problem until he and his flying mount were blindsided by said professor, tossing the boy into the air, and left Baymax captured inside a jacket of microbots.

Back on the ground, Wasabi was trying to dodge attacks while making his way to the other team members with the hope of at least breaking them free. Having held back from the initial rush into battle, the green member had time to watch and learn how their enemy fought. Unfortunately while he was able to advance towards his friends his forward momentum was slow as he sliced away at the errant robots of all sizes that approached him.

This left Naruto by himself to handle the security robots that had been summoned by the technology mogul. With his strength it was easy to tear through the machines, but even though they were small the robots numbered in the hundreds. While not as numerous as the microbots controlled by Yokai, the mechanical guards didn't need overwhelming odds thanks to their V.I.L.E enhanced strength. Each bot alone was able to at least slow the disguised blond down, but could do little more against his strength.

Unfortunately while fighting off the onslaught of robots was possible, the orange hero was forced to ignore his friends yells for help. Everytime he tried to move towards his trapped comrades, a group of security droids or anastray microbot tentacle would stop him. He had to trust that his friends could make do without him.

With almost the entire team pinned down in one way or another it was the smallest of them all that came to the rescue. Hiro had found himself clutching onto a stray bit of metal next to where Krei had been locked in place. The two finding a strange sense of kinship at their predicament, as both tried to dodge flying debris.

"Why aren't those tiny robots being stopped by the security system?" the tech mogul asked amid the chaos.

"You're bots are laced with that new vile program right?' the young genius inquired. Getting an affirmative, and a remark about using the acronym, the boy continued, "The microbots have a hive mind set up with a human at the center, who is aided by an A.I. system that can bear the load of so many orders. Because the individual bot's don't have an operating systems they can't be overwritten by another program."

"Wouldn't it make more sense to just put the system into every robot to lighten the workload on each?" the billionaire asked as he moved his head out of the way of a scrap of metal.

"The microbots would be too big and heavy if you put something like that in each one." the boy said before one of his stolen inventions bounced off his helmet and flew upwards. Turning his gaze to follow the tiny robot as it flew towards the active portal Hiro let out an excited yell.

Calling to the rest of the team Hiro began to set his new plan into motion. Still holding onto the bit of pipe, he called out to the rest of the team with his new idea. Break the microbot constructs apart and let the individual robots fly into the portal.

GoGo looked around her cocoon, and after popping a bubble made with her ever present chewing gum, went to work. While originally she had designed her levitating wheels to be used on bikes, currently they were now closer to ice skates. Each disk was like a blade, and while rounded she didn't really need much of an edge to cleave her way free from her prison.

Jamming one of her weapons into a crack between the tiny robots she started spinning it. The microbots magnetic bond was unable to hold up against the centrifugal force, and soon began unwinding. Seeing her chance the athletic engineer shot out of the hole she had made and rolled onto her feet before she shot off.

Nearby Honey had already begun dissolving part of the shield she had hastily created. She had separated the base of her dome from the top thanks to some quick chemistry. Once everything was ready the tall girl made two capsules from her purse and readied them in her hands.

The spiderweb cracks soon gave way as the tip of a black tentacle pierced the shield. Throwing the first pod at the protrusion a small explosion coated the microbots in a glue that held them firmly to the protective shell. When the robotic limb retracted the dome went with it and Honey began making a hasty retreat.

Turning around for only a second the tall blond threw her second capsule at what remained of the barrier and began to run faster. Still stuck to the robots the chemicals within the thrown orb began to react and a much larger explosion knocked many of the microbots loose from each other. The now seperated tiny bots began to fly towards the portal.

Fred was fine. While the theatrical boy was straining against his bindings, in reality he was comfortably inside his costume with no danger of being ripped apart. It took a few minutes for this fact to dawn on him, and once it did he simply pulled his arms inward. Sticking his arms out side the kaiju suit and grasping for any pieces of scrap that hadn't been pulled away yet, the mascot was lucky to find a large enough bit of metal to begin breaking apart his restraints. Once free the enthusiastic comic lover started knocking microbots around.

With Wasabi still free, only Naruto was unaccounted for. Deeper into the campus the orange hero was busy fighting off the hoard of V.I.L.E. infected robots. No matter how many he smashed more kept coming to take their place. The ground around him was littered with the destroyed remains of machines.

Just as he felt the first bits of sweat drip down the back of his neck, Naruto saw one specific robot standing just outside of the viral swarm. Remembering the showcase where Krei himself had talked about the strengths and weaknesses of the new "program" that his company had developed. Specifically that it did revolve around a singular bot, and if you took out that host all the others would fall.

With a new plan in mind Naruto ripped a ball of twisted metal from a nearby wall and knocked away several advancing adversaries. Hefting it over his head he readied himself to throw it at the solitary machine. However something stopped him.

He felt his body lock up as images played before his eyes. A dusty circle surrounded by high concrete walls was occupied by two children, both of whom could only have just entered their teenage years. The throbbing sound of a cheering crowd was heard overhead as the occupants of the ring stared each other down. The first boy had long brown hair with piercing white eyes, and opposite him was young Naruto. Atop his head was the same sun blond hair, while dark whisker marks sat beneath sapphire blue eyes.

At once the two boys charged forward, readying their attacks. The younger Naruto would use sloppy punches and kicks, while the pale eyed boy used persians strikes to disable and deflect. The fight raged on in this matter for several minutes before they separated. Bringing his hands together in a cross shape the orange wearing boy was suddenly surrounded by a hundred copies of himself, at once they charged.

Unfortunately the refined fighting style of the other boy quickly began dispatching the unstable clones. A single hit being enough to disperse them into wisps of smoke. The pale eyed fighter moved through the overwhelming odds with eases as he neared the back of the pack where a single blond stood alone watching the slaughter. Once free from the mob he charged at his lone opponent and struck with a firee attack.

However instead of striking flesh, the long haired boy was met with shadow as the clone dispersed. His surprise was short lived as a very solid fist slammed into him from behind, where he least expected it. All was silent as the crowd watched what was supposed to be a one sided fight. The favorite of the fight stood in shock as a looser grinned at him in the small victory of a well thought out plan.

Back at the present Naruto, in his orange hero suit, was still holding the bit of wreckage above his head and ready to throw. Having a feeling that the sudden vision might be trying to give him a clue about his current situation, the blond let his instincts take over and let the ball of metal fall from his hands behind himself.

A loud crunch sounded out and signaled the now crushed remains of what had looked like an upturned bucket. Shudders went through the horde of robots, many of them slowing to a halt. Eventually a domino effect took hold as one of the mechanical guards fell into another and the entire group began to collapse ontop of eachother. All of them now laying motionless in heaps on the ground.

Heaving a sigh of relief, Naruto took a second to enjoy the quiet after his battle before he continued on with the war as a whole. Preparing for a fight and taking a look around, the strong youth was surprised to see that most of the microbots that he expected to fight had already disappeared. Only scattered puddles of tiny robots signified where groupings of the machines had been. Sliced off by the blades of GoGo and Wasabi.

Some of the miniature bots still hung in the air, floating upward as the portal absorbed them into the abyss. Only the columns that held said ring in the air remained along side the angry Callaghan. Baymax and Hiro readying to charge at the now defenseless professor and take away his mask and power in one move.

Instead of helping to clear out the rest of the microbots like he had expected, Naruto found himself helping Krei escape his metallic bindings. Leading him towards the bystanders on the outskirts of the campus who had stayed to watch, and record, the fight. Apparently just in time too, as loud crashes began to resonate through the area as the black pillars gave out and dropped the portal and submarine from their lofty spots onto the ground. Looking back it was faintly possible to see the crushed remains of a neurotransmitter in the nurse bot's armored hand.

Everything seemed to have been wrapped up as Callaghan was restrained with some wire. The team were all unharmed, the only casualty being the chem-lab purse that Honey had used to start an explosion. With the nuclear sub powering the portal it would hold stable until someone that knew how to turn it off could come and do so. Once everyone was cleared away their job would be done.

"I sense an injured person," The metallic voice of the resident nurse called out, shattering any hope that things could be easy.

"Just one?" Naruto asked, receiving a nod. "Where are they, I can get them out of here safely."

The large finger pointing towards the vibrant blue and purple void held by a metal ring brought the crashing realization about where this injured person was.

"The patient is female with extremely low but stable vitals. I recommend immediate medical aid," Baymax said turning towards the portal and extending his wings for a flight into the unknown.

Callaghan gave voice to everyone's fears that his daughter, Abigail, might still be alive after almost a year inside whatever lay beyond that shimmering wall. Hiro quickly jumped onto his companions back, ready to help. Only for him to be pulled from his perch just as fast.

"You're not going anywhere genius," Naruto said putting the boy on the ground before taking a knee in front of him. "We don't know what's in there, or how dangerous it is. So I, being the most durable, will be flying on Baymax this time."

Before he could mount any kind of retort the disguised genius was silenced by a finger pushing into his helmeted forehead. "You've got many years ahead of you, where you're going to help a lot of people with that big brain of yours," The orange hero started. "And while you do that I'm going to help just as many with my strong body. A team works at its best when we trust each other's strengths, and that's what I'm asking you to do here." The blond stood at his full height and addressed Hiro as an equal, holding his fist out towards him. A choked sob escaped the youth as he bumped his own fist against the older boys. Each content with their choice.

Naruto turned to jump onto Baymax's back but found his way blocked by the tall Honey Lemon. The young woman gave a serene smile before she leaned forward and pushed her soft lips against the mask that covered the blonds own. She took a step back and gave a wink, before the orange hero found himself physically lowered as he was pulled into a more forceful second kiss with the petite GoGo.

After letting him go the asian woman, ignoring Honey's death glare, gave a confident smirk. "It's nice to see someone else woman up around here. Now go play the hero, and get back here quickly so we can sort this out." With an unseen lopsided grin, and a stagger to his step, Naruto latched onto the flying nurse bot and the two rocketed into the abyss.

The remaining members of the team stood by waiting and hoping. Until the silence was broken when Fred turned towards Wasabi, "I told you the ladies love a blond man. It's only a matter of time before they come running to me next." The kaiju disguised boy tried to strike a sexy pose, but any effect was negated by the bulky costume hiding him.

*break*

A world of violet and indigo hues spread out for an eternity, only marred by broken metal and destroyed buildings. The magnificent sights held back the twinges of pain that Naruto could feel in the back of his head, but could not fully stop the aching throb of pain. Thankfully it was nothing debilitating like back on the island when he had first seen the portal open. For now they needed to find whoever was here.

Baymax flew through the rubble, avoiding debris as he went, heading farther and farther away from where they entered. Behind everything that had been absorbed, floating all alone, was a small pod. Its domed window fogged over with condensation that was easily wiped away to reveal Abigail Callaghan.

The young woman's eyes were closed, her skin pale and gaunt. Only the slow movement of her chest showed that she was still alive. Maneuvering the capsule so they could attach it to the magnetic points on Baymax's back was a bit difficult without jostling the occupant, but they managed. With their precious cargo loaded the duo, now trio, began making their way back towards the dimensional gate they had entered from.

With the submarine still giving power, it was agreed upon that taking a longer but safer route would be "optimal." Flying wide of all debris meant they didn't have to worry about getting blindsided by anything, and instead just needed to worry about all the new things that were still being sucked into the portal. By that point though it would just be a stones throw to the other side, where help was hopefully arriving by this point.

It was only the shadow grabbing Naruto that put a stop to this going off without any problems. With the blond pulled off into the void, he was only able to give a single instruction out before he disappeared. "Get Abigail to safety first."

Taking off at new found speeds and overriding several safety protocols, Baymax screamed forward. Dodging litter and breaching the barrier between worlds at blinding speeds, he continued on towards an ambulance that had just arrived. Noting that Hiro and the rest of the team had moved to a more secluded area where they could avoid the crowd and officials, the robot readied to make his return, but found himself blocked. Not by any one person, but that the portal had been filled with a large orange arm.

*break*

Naruto struggled inside the grip of whatever grabbed him. It wasn't crushing him, as it just pulled him deeper into a cloud like flurry of colors before suddenly stopping. His prison began expanding letting him see that he now stood in the palm of a large furry hand. The owner of the appendage was cloaked in shadow as the only light that filled this place came from the open portal and somewhere else far off.

A sudden motion caused the blond to stumble a bit before he tried to look at his surroundings. There was only one landmark he could see, a humongous gnarled tree, larger even that the shadowed beast that carried him, floated a ways off. Flakes of soil and grass clung onto its roots, giving the illusion of ground. Upon this false earth rested more unseeable creatures. Fred's dream of witnessing a kaiju attack was looking more real by the second.

"Hello, Naruto," the creature holding him said. A deep voice assaulting the human's ears while he felt the urge to shrivel up underneath a pair of crimson eyes. "It is good to see that you are well, even though you look ridiculous dressed like that."

No matter how much fear he felt well up inside him, Naruto refused to back down. This giant knew something, and was going to give him answers. "How do you know my name?"

"We know you," the shadow spoke nodding its head towards the other dark creatures, "And while it is good that you do not remember us, the pain you lived through, or even the great deed that you did by bringing me and my siblings here. I believe it is better to see that you have not changed since we last talked. Going so far as to come and rescue the human that entered this place just before we sent you from it."

"You meen Abigail?" the blond said as he looked in the direction he thought the portal was.

"If that was her name then yes," a lighter voice said, large yellow eyes watching the orange hero's every move. "You made the choice to save us all and bring us and this tree to this spot between worlds. But you found yourself trapped as well, and so we let you sleep."

A gruff voice cut in here with a quick laugh, "One day that human came into this world and we decided to send you out through the door they left open, but the way was closing fast and we were only able to send you out in time."

"But thanks to the infinite nature chakra of the tree we were easily able to keep her alive, while she slept," a soft voice said. "Much the same way we helped you after you brought us here."

"Hold on," Naruto yelled finding himself confused at all the information, but more interested in one aspect. "You're telling me that this nature cat-ra from that weird feeling tree can heal people while they sleep?"

"It's chakra," the original giant whose hand the blond still stood on said, "And that tree feels odd to you because you can still feel the natural energies flowing from it. While you gave up your abilities to use the chakra your body produced, perhaps you still subconsciously remember how to summon and use nature chakra. If that's true you should just be able to meditate and collect some to use how you want."

"Just be sure you don't lose concentration or you'll turn into a statue," a crazy sounding voice said, following up its statement with an insane laugh.

"I feel so little nature chakra coming from that world, so it shouldn't happen," another voice said before the shadowed body moved to slap the still laughing one. "But still please be careful, we don't know much about that place."

The crazy sounding one retaliated, and eventually several of the others got involved. Soon a whole group of larger than life monsters were rolling around and clawing at each other. Yet for every grunt of exertion or yelp of pain the air was filled to the brim with laughter. Like children at play the kaiju fought, but would never try to hurt one another.

Naruto stumbled for a second as the hand he still stood on suddenly began to shake. The beast that had originally grabbed him was trying to hold back its own jovial chuckles. Eventually giving up and just turning its large body, and Naruto, away from the quarreling group near the tree.

"There's no telling when that rift will close, so I think it's best for you to leave now knowing that we are happy here," the creature said floating towards the portal.

As the two neared the spot where the blond had first entered from, the light from the device began to illuminate his surroundings. The first of whitch was that the hand carrying him was covered in a deep orange fur, It was so shocking to Naruto that he almost missed that they had arrived at the portal. While the towering beast was just outside the range of the light, Naruto thought he could make out the shape of its head. That of a dog, or maybe even a fox.

The bright red eyes of the being seemed to give off some kind of a content glow, before Naruto found himself held in a protective fist. With a feeling not unlike jumping into a pool of water, the blond found himself pushed back into the world he had come from. And just as suddenly he was let go onto the ground. With the arm taking up the entirety of the portal there was no need to worry about being sucked in, but as the furry appendage began to retract that wouldn't be the case for long.

Reacting more on instinct than anything else Naruto reached out his own fist and pushed it against the much large fingers of the hand that had brought him back. The retreating arm stopped for all of a second before pushing forward again for the two fists to bump together. Feeling a sense of calm the orange hero watched as the arm pulled back behind the veil. A long claw scraped against a cable before fully disappearing. Once the arm was gone, the blue field shimmered for a moment before dissipating.

Turning around the disguised Naruto was greeted with onlookers and his own team stared at him in confusion. The silence held over everyone was only broken when Fred just couldn't hold back any longer.

"Why does he get to fistbumb the giant monster and I don't."

"We're back with our live coverage of the assault on Krei Tech's new headquarters earlier today. The experts have finished disconnecting the submarine that was used to power the portal, and are now working with officials to survey the damage," a reporter said from a television in the hallway of the hospital.

It had been a few hours since the battle had leveled almost almost every building at the new campus. Even some of the surrounding structures had been damaged. Though no one having been hurt was the true blessing, and whether that was due to luck or the crazed professor's intent no one knew.

Everything had become a mess after Naruto had returned from the portal. While Callaghan was being dealt with by a set of officers, Abigail had been placed into an ambulance where she regained enough consciousness to at least say her name. However the team of newbie heros were quickly running away.

Everyone had agreed that it would be a good idea to flee the chaotic scene before some of the law enforcers turned on them for questioning. Fred would probably have wanted to stay and boast about being a superhero, but the idea of having a secret identity far outweighed that notion.

This lead to the heroes now hiding out. Most of them were inside the hospital room of one Tadashi Hamada. Wasabi had joined Fred at his house where they were storing, and hiding, the costumes. This left Naruto and the girls to accompany Hiro to see his brother.

After the fire at the showcase hall, the young genius had become increasingly withdrawn. Even going so far as to not go to the hospital after the first visit where everyone had heard the bad news. Yet now that the truth was out in the open and everyone knew what had actually happened that night, the young boy felt he could at least see his brother one last time.

Once the group had arrived at the hospital they found out that Abigail had been brought here, and now many of the doctors that had been looking after Tadashi were busy examining her. This meant it was easy enough for them to walk into the ward where the robotics student was, but there were precious few people who could answer any questions about his current health. There were also none who complained about the large inflatable robot standing outside the already crowded room. Thankfully Baymax didn't wander off trying to help someone.

For almost half an hour Hiro stood next to his brother's bed. While no tears fell from his eyes he still couldn't feel any kind of happiness, the whole situation was numbing to him. He could hold out hope that his brother would wake up, yet no one thought it would happen.

Eventually the genius walked out of the room, stating he was going to get something to drink, both girls decided it would be best to at least not leave him alone just yet. This left Naruto by himself to try something that he had been thinking about since his encounter with the giant beasts inside the portal.

According to the shadowy beasts he just needed to meditate a little and then he could use this strange energy how he wanted. Not the best instructions, but it was at least worth a shot while he was alone. Pulling up a chair next to the bed and getting comfortable. Falling into the now familiar sense that came upon him, the blond soon lost track of time.

It was difficult for Naruto to remember his own reason for doing this, rather than just letting his mind go blank like he normally did. But he was able to focus just enough that he became aware of another presence in the room with him. Specifically laying on the bed beside him, that felt slower for lack of a better term.

He was unsure how long he sat there trying anything he could think of to help his friend without moving his body. From trying to reach out to commanding him to get better, every action seemed to do something. Unsure if he was actually helping or not, the blond continued on until there was nothing left for him to do.

When he opened his eyes the sun had already lowered with Hiro, GoGo, and Honey Lemon yet to return to the room. This may have been due to the large vinyl body of Baymax standing in the doorway. The white robot was alternating his unblinking gaze between the two human occupants of the room before he began walking closer to the bed.

"Your vital signs have returned to normal," the robotic nurse said, as he looked at Naruto.

The blond was confused, "What were they before?"

"Perfect," was the reply.

Several tense seconds followed as the only conscious human pondered what that could mean.

"What were you doing?" Baymax asked his own question before the silence could drag on for too long.

"Getting closer to nature," was the only answer he could come up with that might not sound crazy.

The robot spent a minute going back and forth between the two humans, as he contemplated the answer. "Tadashi was close to nature for awhile as well, but he no longer is," the huggable robot said, before returning his attention to the blond. "Is this a good thing?"

Naruto wasn't sure. He always felt at peace when he was meditating, but was that better than being in the waking world where all his friends were. It was a tough question, yet he felt he knew the answer.

A soft chirp broke him from his thoughts as the robotic nurse made a statement. "Tadashi is waking up."

And indeed moving around in the his bed was the once prone form of the university student. The seconds ticked by at an agonising pace before his eyes began to blink open. The young man looked around for several moments before he focused on the other occupants of the room, and tried to give a smile. "Glad to see you're okay Naruto."

The blond could only shake his head at the first words out of his friends mouth after he wakes up from a months long coma.

"Did Professor Callaghan get out of the fire safely?" the patient asked, unaware of everything that had happened.

"He's fine, and so is everyone else now." Naruto answered, a soft smile forming on his face.

"Where's Hiro?"

"Getting a drink I'll go find him now."the blue eyed man said standing up.

"Tell him to bring one for me to," was the parting call from the bedridden man, before Naruto walked outside the door.

Hiro and the girls were easy to find. The three of them were sitting a little ways down the hall next to a pair of vending machines. The genius' head was down as an untouched bottle of water was held in his hands. Calling out to get there attention Naruto gestured towards the door, "I think someone wants to talk to you, HIro."

Curious the boy jumped off his chair and walked into the room. The blond blocked the path for the two girls who had followed. Although the shout of joy that followed probably gave away who had woken up.

Giving a pleased smile Naruto asked Honey to call Cass, and sent himself to go find a nurse to inform that Tadashi was conscious. Of course the nearest aid was a ways off, and after he told her what had happened the blond spent the next minute dodging medical staff as they all rushed towards the Hamada's room.

Heaving a sigh Naruto found himself in an empty hallway. Almost alone, were in not for a small coughing fit that caught his attention. Following the sound he saw a young woman with brown hair lounging in a bed as she tried to stifle her coughs.

Walking through the open door he passed the girl a glass of water that had been left on the side table. She eagerly took it and nursed the cup for a few seconds. The orange loving boy took the time to observe her. Her pale skin and thin physique told why she was in a hospital as her whole body shook just trying to hold the glass to her Naruto knew her. After all he had saved her earlier that day.

When Abigail had finished drinking he took the cup away from her hands. Giving a soft thanks she let her arms rest, still weak from her year long stay in hypersleep. Turning to look at the man that was refilling her glass, she watched him until he looked back at her.

"I'm glad to see you're doing well," he said, standing a few paces away from the bed.

"Thanks," she said in return, her voice less dry after her drink. "I guess I should be surprised that you know me, but I suppose the woman who traveled to another dimension would be pretty famous now."

"Actually I know you from all the stories your father used to tell while I was over at SFIT," Naruto corrected with a smile.

"You're a student?"

"No, I work as the pet of the sciences department." The questioning look from the woman caused Naruto to chuckle before he continued. "They alternate between using me as a lab rat and using me for other jobs. Such as lifting heavy things like a gorilla or fetching stuff like a gopher (go-for). That and they also call me foxy due to theā€¦" here Naruto trailed off as he waved a finger at his cheek marks.

The implication was enough to get Abigail to chuckle as a large grin crossed her face. Her body shook with joy at the image of this big strong looking guy being called something cute like foxy. Eventually she calmed down and the two of them fell into a peaceful quiet, just enjoying eachothers company.

"You'll probably think I'm crazy," Abigail said breaking the silence, "But you remind me of a dream." The strange look on Naruto's face forced her to explain what she meant. "When I was in that other dimension I felt like I was being watched over by giant monsters. From a distance they would look cute, but up close they would tower over me. Yet they would never try to hurt me, instead I always got the feeling they were just watching over me to make sure I was safe. It sounds crazy doesn't it."

"Not at all," Naruto said still standing by her bed. "I often dream of giant beasts too. Like a hundred story tall toad that I ride on top of."

"Maybe we're both crazy?" Abigail questioned, her grin still present.

"Naruto Uzumaki might be crazy, but your not there yet," said blond stated proudly.

"You're definitely crazy if you go around claiming your named after a ramen topping."

"For as great as ramen is I'm not named after it, and I'll prove it to you," Naruto said taking a few steps closer towards the bed.

"Alright I'll take you up on that offer," Abigail said turning her body, "But when you can't I want something. So how are you going to prove that your name isn't shared by a ramen topping?"

Valiantly for a several minutes Naruto tried to think of any way to make his point but sadly had to give up. "What do you want?" he asked, his shoulders sagging.

Abigail was now stunned not really expecting the blond to actually offer to get her something. A minute of silence passed while she pondered her options before she looked at a calendar hanging on the wall, and she had an idea.

"How about you buy me a beer," she said causing a confused look to appear on Naruto's face. "I've been in that other dimension for a whole year, so I missed my 21st birthday. I was planning to go out drinking with some friends to celebrate, but I'm a little late for that."

The blond chuckled at the girls attempted joke. "I'll make you a better offer. Next weekend some of the students at SFIT and I were planning on going to the beach for an end of summer celebration, and if you can get away for a day I'll bring you with us. We can get that drink there?"

"I don't know if the doctors will let me leave by then," Abigail countered.

"Don't worry we'll have a mostly licensed nurse with us. You'll like him he's called Baymax, and will be one of the tagalongs to our group. So no need for you to feel like a third wheel," Naruto said, quickly looking out the door and down the hall towards Tadashi's room. After he figures out he's been trapped in a bed for so long he'll probably want a trip outside, the amnesiac thought.

The test pilot couldn't really think of any excuse, her life had been put on halt since she disappeared for so long, and this sounded fun. Giving a solid agreement she and her new friend talked for several more minutes before she started trying to stifle several yawns. Soon enough she was beginning to doze as Naruto bade her goodnight, and promised that he would visit her tomorrow. She sleepily thanked him before passing out.

The blue eyed man turned out the lights and pulled the door so only a crack was left open. Walking back down the hallway he was greeted by the sight of several doctors crowding around his friends room. With Hiro and Baymax also trapped inside.

Nearby he could see the boy's aunt Cass trying to muscle her way through the crowd, but was having little luck. Moving next to her the blond easily got several members of the hospital staff to move aside and let the woman check up on her nephews. However before she entered the room she turned and threw her arms around Naruto's neck and pressed her body against his, relieved that all of her family was safe.

Once Cass let him go and he moved towards the back of the crowd, the now exhausted orange hero laid against a wall and closed his eyes. However his peace was soon interrupted as both of his arms were now being held by a soft pair of hands each. With eyes wide open now, he found GoGo and Honey leaning into him with devious smiles on their faces.

"We discussed who you should date," Honey said as her eyelashes fluttered.

"Without you, cause your to nice to decide," GoGo continued. "And we agreed that while you can only have one wife that doesn't apply to girlfriends."

"So for the time being you're going to have a couple of girlfriends lover boy," the tall chemist said as she moved to rub her body against his.

"Now woman up, walk us outside, and take us to dinner, it's been a long day," the petite cyclist said as she began to lead the other two towards the exit. Making sure that her new boyfriends arm was securely sandwiched with her bosom.

Naruto could only follow dumbly having no idea what was going on, but was certainly not opposed to the idea at all. It wasn't until the newly dating trio made it to the parking lot that he found his voice again.

"Are you both sure about this?" he questioned, not really wanting to ruin an obvious good thing, but would have hated for either of the girls to do anything they would regret.

"Don't worry about it Naruto," Honey said with a chipper town as she rested her head on his shoulder. "We both decided on this together, and besides after running a few 'tests' we found that this could be fun." The way she said that helped some of his worries, but also replaced them with brand new ones.

It was a minute later when he noticed that the lighter colored lipstick that Honey Lemon usually wore had been rather sloppily covered by a darker shade. One that looked suspiciously like the color GoGo wore.

*break*

Over the past week life had returned to normal for the most part. People were of course still talking about all the destruction, and speculating about the mysterious group of heros that had saved the day. Giant monster arms where a big topic.

Krei himself had actually stated he had no intention of rebuilding right away. Instead he had drafted plans to help SFIT rebuild some of the building that had been destroyed in the fire set by Callaghan. Construction was set to begin in two months, and once finished would be named after Abigail Callaghan who had in his own words, "Sacrificed so much to help me achieve my dream, let this show my appreciation." He had also covered all of the hospital bills for her and Tadashi, while they were recovering.

The test pilot didn't have any strong feelings about the news. She was more preoccupied with learning about everything that she had missed over the past year, and getting to know her knew friends. With both her and Tadashi stuck in the hospital for the time being, for observation if nothing else, the two were getting along great.

Though the highlight of the day was usually when Naruto would show up. Having no classes to attend he would appear throughout the day and stay until he had to return to help out at the school. His newest job was making sure that Tadashi's old lab was ready for him when he got back.

Hiro had been a stuttering mess of emotions for a day or two, but was now on top of the world. Having even gotten enrolled into the school. Unfortunately for him, this meant that his care from the robotic nurse was over.

Although Baymax was still a large part of the Hamada family's life. With the huggable robot spending most of his day watching over his creator, and Abigail, while gaining some much needed field experience. All the doctors spent time watching over the mechanical wonder. Sometimes giving tips, but mostly just marveling at the work of genius.

Unlike the rest of the team, who had yet to even put their suits back on, Fred had taken to wearing his costume around his house. Even setting up and destroying several fake model cities. He had to be warned multiple times that he couldn't let the media see him. His desire for a superhero life, secret identity included, was enough to keep him indoors.

Wasabi was still his usual self, if a bit more stressed out. He had been trying to explain to several people how his car had ended up in the bay. Thankfully the fact that their had been a spooky guy in a kabuki mask with a legion of tiny robots meant he was make progress. The news reports were enough proof.

But now the weekend had arrived and everybody had gathered at the beach. Cass' truck was filled with people as it rolled to a stop near the sand. Naruto jumped out first and moved towards the back where after shifting around a few coolers he pulled out a wheelchair. Once ready he moved back to the front where Abigail was patiently waiting for him. On unsteady legs she swung herself into the chair, having made incredible progress for someone who had been asleep for a year, but was still to weak to stand for long periods of time. And too proud to just be carried around everywhere.

With his passenger seated Naruto pushed her over a small path before setting her underneath an already prepared sun umbrella, where GoGo and Honey sat waiting for everyone else to arrive. The two girls had decided to wear long shirts until their shared boyfriend arrived, and they could show off their new swimsuits together. Before he could die from blood loss the blond quickly raced back to the truck and began to help unload the rest of the beach gear.

Cass was already carrying a basket full of food. Somewhere along the way she had stripped out of the jeans and shirt she had worn for the drive, and now wore only a black one piece suit that defined her mature body. Naruto tried to avoid staring and quickly picked up a box that needed to be moved. However he was halted when he felt a hand on his bicep.

"I guess I should thank the strong young man who's helping me unload everything," Cass said with a smile, before turning to look at her nephews. Both of whom had taken a seat on the sand to watch Baymax inflate. Giving a sigh the aunt continued, "I really do want to thank you for everything that you've done. Not just for my family, but also for thinking of getting that poor girl out of the hospital for a bit."

"It was the least I could do," Naruto said feeling embarrassed from the prais. Or maybe it was her soft hand still holding onto his shoulder.

"If that's your least I would love to see what your all out looks like," the mature woman said before she began her walk towards the other girls.

Honey and GoGo were both watching the interaction between the two with appraising looks tossed Cass's way. However when they noticed that their boyfriend was watching them, they both grabbed the hem of their shirts and with a swift tug Narutos world went blank as he could do little but stare.

-To Be Continued-

I don't know when, but I do want to continue this story. But for now I just want to enjoy it as a finished work, and not grow to hate a movie I love. It was a blast making this story, but I don't want to try and needlessly push onward and take all the fun out of it. You could call this a hiatus or whatever you want, but I am done for now.

I hope to come back and pick up with the series, now that the US is getting it in June. However I don't promise anything. I do like the idea of Karmi, Hiro's new love interest, who is more interested in his alter ego. Though maybe in this story she's more interested in Naruto until Hiro saves her. But that's for later. I also really love the idea that GoGo and Honey are going to be living together.

As for the Naruto/Cass story I've been teasing for the past several chapter the original plan was that I would upload the first chapter just before this one and tell you it's on my profile so you can read it, but I decided against it. For the same reason as above I don't want to work on any Big Hero 6 stuff for a while, and if I did put it up the story would just sit there until I felt like doing something with it. Which could take awhile. I still have hope for the story, but I don't want to post a story I won't work on.

Notes for points within this chapter I would like to touch on like Baymax not needing to sacrifice himself. Maily I didn't think it was necessary since Naruto was going to be grabbed by Kurama and it made more sense to just have Baymax get Abigail to safety.

Second Naruto "healing" Tadashi. A lot of you were questioning how I was going to save Tadashi, and this has been my plan from the beginning. Since this Naruto can't use regular chakra what about the chakra in the world around him. Made sense to me.

But when it came time to actually write it out, I had several paragraphs about what Naruto was doing and how he was fixing Tadashi with this energy. Yet it all sucked. Trying to explain it like that felt to clinical, and lost most of the mystic vibe that I felt this miraculous healing should have. So I intentionally left it vague to help it feel like not even Naruto knew what he was doing.

To all my dear readers outside the United States, Yes here in the States you have to be 21 to buy and drink alcohol on your own. It's weird for the rest of the world, but America's a weird place.

Finally, yes I am implying that Honey and GoGo shared a kiss, and are curious where this relationship will go. This could include other girls later on. Specifically Cass and Abigail.

Thank you all for sticking with me and reading this story. I hope you've enjoyed it as much as I've had making it. Except for that frustrating two year gap.

I hope to see you all enjoying my other stories, and until next time. Good luck.
