The morning was upon them, the light shining through the parted curtains of the window at the center of their room. The members of the newly created team were all coiled cozily within their beds, resting their heads from the breathtaking exam they had faced the day before.
Ray was casually reclined in slumber, a hand tucked behind his head, yet blocked by his loosened black locks, while the other rested comfortably on his stomach. Despite the scowling expression he wore, eyebrows furrowed and mouth pulled into a tightened line, it was needless to say he was quite comfortable. With him being to the far left, it was good thing he didn't seem to sleep wildly, because the space between the bed and wall had proven to be quite the uncomfortable spot to find oneself wedged between.
All the way on the other side of the room, pressed against the right wall, was Bonnie. In contrast to Ray, all spread out on his back, she slept compactly wound together with her legs pulled into her stomach, head lying on her hand -which was turned against her pillow- and blanket draped loosely over her sleeping form. Not to mention, when it came to the systematic way of sleeping, she seemed to be doing it wrong. Rather than sleeping right side up, head at the bed posts, she slept with her feet there instead. Likewise to Ray, she didn't seem to move so much when asleep, thus making their places in beds against the walls make all the more sense.
Next to her bed, in a surprisingly peaceful manner, was Chantal, all snuggled up looking quite content. Her head was plushed into her pillow, hands tucked to her chest and just under her chin. She barely stirred, covers around her and tucked in more so towards her gripping hands.
Finally, there was Iren, who slep-...Well, actually, he wasn't asleep at all. It was so early, before any alarms bellowed out, and before any sounds of stampeding students in the hallway, yet the blonde male sat up straight against the support behind his bed and just turned the page in the novel he read. "Man..." He trailed whilst skimming the top page, "That's just underhanded..." Surprising that he actually seemed absorbed in the novel considering his dull-voiced tone. Tucking his gauzed hand between the pages and temporarily folding his book over, he passed a few gazes to his sleeping teammates while muttering his inner-contemplations, "Should I wake them up? Will they get up?" He glanced over to Chantal,"Is...She alive?"
Ray stirred slightly, at the young man's ramblings, however slight and Bonnie awakened completely, though her eyes still shut. It seemed the both were relatively light sleepers.
The black haired girl let out a quiet sigh as she shifted beneath the covers, finally opening her eyes with an annoyed countenance present. She seemed to contemplate getting up, but that meant she would have to get past her male teammates, which she had no intention of doing. Rolling her eyes beneath the covers in defeat, Bonnie peeked from under them to find a sleeping Chantal. She realized that the girl in question didn't seem to move. Just as she remembered.
"Whoaaa... Light sleepers," Iren blatantly mumbled, peering about the room at two of the three sleeping teammates that had risen to his sounds, "Well...Two outta there...Not bad." He returned briskly to his novel, reading through the page a second time to recount what he'd just read, then continuing on to a new one, "Oh, by the way...We have a half hour."
Ray bolted up abruptly from his bed, practically leaping before landing on the floor, which caused Bonnie to flinch horribly. He seemed wide awake as he looked around with a bewildered expression. Seconds later, his eyes seemed to relax, a more sleepy expression taking its place. "Oh..." His face showed signs of recognition that led to the slackening of his shoulders and calming of his body.
"I said thirty minutes, not thirty seconds," Iren casually remarked, completely unfazed by the sudden reaction, "Not saying we're gonna be late but uh... I haven't even gotten dressed or combed through this long, beautiful luxurious hair of mine." He brushed his fingers through his hair all the way to the ends. It wasn't all too long actually, but it was at least to around the shoulders.
Ray raised a brow at the blonde, the corner of his lips twitching up into a smirk as he reached behind himself. He pulled a lock of his black hair, which ended a bit after his mid back, "Long?"
"Wow, your hair is just so luxurious..." Of course the sarcasm was still there, and he even held the same dull face, but Iren continued to push his sense of amusement, "SO luxurious that I would consider a drawn out relationship with you."
"I'll pass." He laughed, taking a moment to turn to the two sleepers. Well, the one sleeper and the one faker, "Should we wake those two up?"
At once, Bonnie rose slowly, getting her bed and heading towards the closet.
Ray's eyes widened a bit, surprised at the girl's wake as if it were on command. A moment later, he peered over to the sleeping form of Chantal, half-expecting her to do the same, although she didn't, "And her?"
"I got this," Hopping off his bed and grabbing his book, Iren approached the brunette's bed carefully with it hovering above his head. From the way he was gestured, it seemed like he was set to smack the sleeping girl over her head with it, but suddenly, he snatched his arms back and threw said book straight ahead, "DUCK AND COVER!" He shouted, taking a step back and covering his head with his arms, "I've awakened the beas-"
"Ow..." Came a quiet murmur of discomfort. Chantal sat up and rubbed her head, then offered a lazy look to Ray, then Iren, then to the empty bed Bonnie once occupied before motioning back to look at the two males, "..."
Bonnie glared at Iren momentarily before moving further into the closet to retrieve she and Chantal's uniforms.
Ray slowly shook his head, a full-on smirk plastered onto his features, 'Here we go.'
Even Iren was ready and set, still holding his protective, half-armadillo positioning.
"Good morning, Iren..." She seemed somewhat groggy as she wiped at her waking eyes with a lightly coiled fist and a yawn, "Good morning, Ray..."
Being that the two had been roommates for a year and a half, Bonnie was fully aware of this early-morning tranquility. She smirked from the closet, just imagining how stuck the faces of the boys looked.
She wasn't very far off.
Ray's smirk was traded in for a confused look, "Um...?" The boy quirked a brow, trying to put the pieces together.
It was common for people to be relaxed and groggy upon awakening, but it seemed an overload had occurred, for the brunette passed up a dull look in her brown eyes, blinking slowly as she yawned yet again, "Bonnieeeeee..." She rolled off of her bed to seek her friend, seeming a little disoriented in her steps as she stumbled off into the closet.
Iren slowly turned his head to Ray, a brow raised in confusion and arms dropping from their shielded formation, "So what..? Is she suddenly nice or was she PMSing yesterday?"
"You might not wanna say that too loudly..." Ray advised in hush, his eyes following the brunette all the way to the closet then back to his current bed-making, "I heard girls get really touchy about that subject."
"Huh... Well she's ripped apart my feelings eighteen times already in like twelve hours. I don't think I've got anything to los-"
"Oooooooooo!"
"DUCK AND COVER!" Iren squawked again upon hearing the brunette's coo of interest, mistaking it as some kind of battle cry.
"Yet you're still scared," Ray chuckled as he tugged on the sheets of his bed, straightening the ends, "I thought you didn't have anything to lose?"
"Please calm down." Bonnie urged her friend, "It's not all that serious."
"It's SO serious! It's a presentttt!" Picking up the pink, orange, and light purple spotted box with such an intricately wrapped bow on top and wandering out of the closet with it, Chantal plopped the container down on her companion's bed, a smile lacing her lips, "They love ussss..."
Iren glanced up, dropping his hands once again and quirking a brow, "Uhhh."
"A...present?" Ray repeated, glancing over to Iren as an inquisitive look graced his features.
"What I'm wondering is how they even got it in here when we found our dorm yesterday." The black haired female trailed behind. She took a seat next to the decorated box, "And I can't find our uniforms anywhere."
"Does it matter? They love ussss..." Chantal chipperly pulled at the edge of the bow, unraveling the ties so that she could pluck off the top of the box. "Now let's see what they got u- Uniforms..." She trailed, pulling out a typical Beacon Academy school shirt. She had the slightest sound of disappointment, expecting them to have stolen their uniforms and just gifted them up. "A shirt and a skir... PANTS. They gave me it! YES YES!" HEr other hand fished for the pants, both garments which she practically slung out of the box with giddy glee, "A Boy's uniform! THE COMFORT IS REAL!"
They gave her a boy's uniform... Bonnie said inwardly, looking into the box. It wasn't empty she realized, as a girl's uniform was under Chantal's. The only difference? The skirt was hand tailored to shorts with black stockings beside it. The girl felt the corner of her lips twitching up into a smile. Rosa had done it again.
"Who're these gift-giving friends?" Iren questioned dully, now casually stretched out on the floor in relaxation.
"They're special buddies," Chantal huffed in reply, plopping down onto the floor. Clearly she was still unaware, sleep distorting her thoughts as she set her uniform to her side and gripped the edge of her sleeve with a mighty tug.
"CHANIE!" Bonnie called hastily, while Ray's head whipped to the other direction in shock.
"Huh...?" She turned her head to look at her friend, blinking a few times, "What?"
""Whoaboy. Coed dorming," Iren blatantly muttered, shaking his head, "Never though it'd be like this. Thanks for the warning, Ma..."
Although the comment triggered a snicker from Ray, he dared not move his head from its position at the wall.
Bonnie made sure Chantal kept eye contact with her before tipping her own head up, eyes flashing to the direction of the males currently in the room, then returning her gaze to meet her friend's.
"What?" Tipping her head to the side, as non-verbally instructed, Chantal blinked a few times, then looked down at her sleeve, "Ahh..." She hummed in understanding, quickly following with "EWWWWW..." She climbed up to her feet, uniform draped over her arm in tow, "You guys are grossss..."
Ignoring the little sense that comment made, Iren only draped his arms against the bed he sat affront, "Wow rude..."
Bonnie stifled a giggle as she looked around for the bathroom. Only, there weren't any in the rooms she remembered, for the closest one was located down the hall. This realization rendered her silent.
The silence was broken however, by the voice of Ray, who had already turned back at that point. "How about... you two change on that side," His head tipped over to Bonnie's bed as he continued, "and we'll change here?"
"Ray, wait," Iren interjected, jumping to his feet and draping his arm over himself, "I don't feel safe. What about my body... What if they see..?"
The black haired male raised a brow over to Iren, a smirk growing upon his lips, "Then I guess you'll have to suck it up. Heh."
"Shouldn't...we be the ones that have to worry?" Chantal tipped her head to the side, batting her eyes a few times.
"I don't know. You're chicks... All the chicks want my body..." Iren trailed, lowering his head as though mocking the actions of a shy girl.
"...AS IF!" She shot back, "YOU FREAKING IDIOT!"
Bonnie sighed, slowly shaking her head in momentary disbelief at Iren. Just a moment later, after thought, she peered over to Chantal, raising a brow with a look that exuded distrust towards her male teammates.
"I say. We do it. You guys on that side, we girls on this side. Backs turned. NO looking until we get an all clear," Now at one with her usual mentality, the chestnut haired girl stepped forward, adjusting her clothing on her arm while fashioning a dark, warning look, "If anyone turns around before that... They'll be subjected to more torture than they could ever imagine. Than. I. Could ever imagine. UNDERSTAND?"
"Oh God, did I make her this way again..?" Hushedly murmured the blonde.
"Way to go, Iren," Ray joked, passing a dull look to him as he grabbed a black towel and the uniform draped on his study desk, "I'm gonna take a shower." With that, the young man, scroll in hand, placed his belongings in small black and white duffel bag before heading out, and leaving the three be.
"If... it was pain worse than you could imagine..." Bonnie trailed to her friend in a whisper, "Then how would you even know the pain...?"
"Don't contradict me!" Chantal huffed, stomping her foot, "Backs turned!" She demanded before following through by turning her own back.
Bonnie complied, turning her back, even though she wasn't entirely comfortable with the whole ordeal.
Iren also turned his back, groaning in exasperation as though it were just such a difficult thing to do.
"They left you some contacts." Bonnie spoke quietly, revealing the rest of the contents from the present box. Inside had also been various shades of blue and black polish for Bonnie, countering her nail biting habit, "They gave us a congrats note too."
"We'll read it after, but let me..." Taking the contacts, she emptied a few to put them in, having to trail off to make sure she gave the utmost care and attention.
"You wear glassessssss-"
"Shut up, Iren," She quickly said, dropping her hands from her eyes to begin changing.
Congrats you two! Welcome to Beacon Academy! We weren't there to see how good you were, but we're sure you were great! I hope you like your new uniforms! Tailored to both your needs and wants! Emmett says good luck and calm down Chantal. An anonymous sourc- Peter says not to be discouraged Bonnie, and we've trained you guys to be ready. Matthew's asleep right now, but I'm sure he'd say not to worry to both of you! It's getting late, so I'll have to stop writing, we've got a mission tomorrow! Don't stress and have fun! I can't wait to see your leader!
-Rosa and PERM, but not Peter- No, from Peter as well.
Bonnie could only put the note down as she struggled to breathe, laughing silent with her face pressed onto her bed, "Oh Elsword... it looked like they had a power struggle for the pencil..." It really did. From the slightly off handwriting from Rosa to the crossed out words and writing from Peter, the girl could only imagine the fights the two had over the note.
"Hehe..." Chantal, while pulling on her boots, had managed to see a bit of the note, mainly focusing on the crossed out parts, that was until her eyes had skimmed over the last little bit. "Oh..." Face dropping into a dull look, she glared at the paper while mimicking Rosa's tone, "I can't wait to see your leader!" She sang in a much more girlish tone, before grumbling, "Who gives a shit about Ray... Ohhh... It's fucking RAY ZACHARY!" That one that had to have his name in the front. Oh THAT'S why we have a stupid name like Raspberry. Team RASPBERRY! Of ALL the names.. Ray's fault...Screw him!"
"Well that's not very nice." Bonnie smirked as she took her blazer sleeves in her hands. The girl was already wearing her modified uniform and black tights when the leader in question walked through the door, his hair slightly dampened from the shower, "Blazer on or off?"
"Who gives a shit about what's ni-" Cutting off the restart of her rant, the brunette glanced up, "Off. But no really!" She started again, clearly either not seeing or not hearing that Ray was in the room now, "Who car-"
"Oh. Ray. She was just talking about you," Iren offered. Call it a blessing or a curse, or maybe neither of the two considering the brunette didn't seem to care about whether or not he was present when she badmouthed him.
"Oh?" Ray smirked, pushing hair to the back and taking a white, paper-looking material in his hands to hold his ponytail. "I hope they were all good things."
"No. They weren't good things," She bluntly proclaimed with a shrug, "They were horrible things. All about your horrible self. Now let's not wait on Ray. Let's leave."
Bonnie hummed in disappointment at her spiteful friend, giving her a look that easily translated as 'How nice.'
Ray on the other hand merely chuckled, going over to his desk and grabbing his scroll as well as Iren's. "Here ya go." He said, handing the blonde his device while checking his own. "Classes... I've got Plants and Biological Sciences. Peach."
"I do too..." Iren glanced over at Ray, then back down at his scroll, 'We can't sit next to each other Ray... We've got different styles... People are going to get ideas... It just... It can't happen. You understand, right?"
"You stole the words right out of my mouth." Ray replied as he slowly shook his head in disappointment, humoring the boy's game. "We're already thinking alike. I think we should see other people."
Chantal uttered a simple lip quipping 'pwwwwwp' sound, much like people use to characterize a horse, grabbing her own scroll and Bonnie's, "If you idiots managed to get a class together, we HAVE to have one together."
"Thanks." The girl uttered quietly as she took her scroll, pressing the yellow center and going to her schedule, "...Oobleck..."
A clear tinge of horrified blue streaked over the brunette's face, not only because she didn't have a class with her friend, no that wasn't very high on her list of worries, but because of her teacher... "...Port..."
"Pfff..." Bonnie sniggered at Chantal for a half second before regaining her composure. Of all the teachers they had met over their year-and-a-half, Professor Port had to be the most feared one in the brunette's mind, as well as the butt of all her...questionable jokes.
"What's so bad about this Port guy?" Iren casually prodded.
"Pray for me..." She blandly whispered to Bonnie under her breath before turning quickly to Iren, "Mind yours, mummy!" She quipped, referring to the tightly wrapped gauze he wore, "Let's just get going! We don't have time to waste!"
As soon as they stepped foot over their dorm's threshold and into the hallway, the comments all started rolling in, proving to be the whole reason Bonnie had been so against just scooping up their clothes and changing in the communal bathroom down the hall.
"What are they wearing...?"
"I thought the uniform consisted of a skirt..."
"Well clearly those aren't skirts..."
"Is that one wearing a boy's uniform..?"
"You think maybe they're..."
Chantal took it all in stride, chin up and no wavering under the words they spoke, rather she kept a nonchalant demeanor.
Bonnie, on the other hand, looked down somewhat her blazer snug around her body as a result of putting it back on at the last minute. It was a good thing she did; the young female didn't want any more attention drawn to her.
Ray, taking the comments in, side-glanced the on-moving crowds of people, looking to be in deep thought.
Iren seemed to be blissfully unaware, "There's a lot of talk this morning. Wonder what about." Though in truth, he seemed to be hearing every word.
"Things that should stay to themselves." The young man answered quietly, but loud enough for the three to hear. "Shouldn't side comments stay to the side?"
With that, Bonnie glanced up to the dark haired male, blinking twice at his words, then off to the side.
"Nope. They should stay inside," Chantal replied, hands in her pockets. That was her subtle way of telling such gossipers to keep their traps shut.
"Right you are," Ray smirked, his head tilting slightly upward as a sign caught his attention, "Ohp, here we go. Peach."
"Oh yeah..." Iren turned his head, waving his fingers towards the two remaining females, "Are you gonna miss me?" He inquired almost innocently towards Chantal.
"I'll miss you when you're dead," She quickly retorted, also wearing a blissful smile.
"Damn, Iren." Ray chuckled."I'm beginning to think she may not like you."
Bonnie could only slowly shake her head at the ordeal.
"I know... That hurt..." He clenched momentarily at his chest, then turned around to Ray, " 'Least I got you, buddy! Let's sit together!"
Chuckling at this, the black haired male raised a brow at the blonde whilst they walked into their classes, "But I thought people were gonna talk."
"...Crazy how easily he changes tides," Dully murmured a bemused Chantal, bypassing the door and continuing to walk. "So. Oobleck, you have?"
"Yea." The ebony haired female responded, matching Chantal's strides, "Honors..."
"Oh, that's great!" She glanced over to her friend with glee, proud of her achievements, "You make it to Honors classes even in..." She figured Bonnie would be able to fill in the 'a different world' blank she had left to reference she was about to make. After all, even if she didn't, it would be too risky to blatantly mention it out in the open.
Luckily, Bonnie seemed to pick up what her friend was putting down. "That's only because this place is an Elsword of a lot more interesting than home." She side-glanced Chantal, an accusing look plastered on her features. "You know you have the potential for honors classes."
"Nahh," Waving off the comment, Chantal only shook her head, "That's not really my thing... If you're capable or smart, they reward you by saying 'HERE, HAVE MORE WORK'. It's completely unethical. I'll stick to where I'm welcomed with average standards," She broadened her smile, showing the joking edge to her serious words.
Bonnie sighed, looking upwards to fine that the had just passed Professor Port's room. "Go enjoy the fruits of your labor." With that, she turned Chantal around to what she thought was her doom.
"Yes... Absolutely... I'll go enjoy the fruits of pedophilia," Chantal blandly trailed, that same tinge as before creeping its way across her forehead. "I'm not eighteen yet... I'm not eighteen yet..." She kept repeating while dragging her feet into the classroom, reminding herself that it would be a valid response if ever the male spoke to her.
"One more year, Channie."
"..." Whirring around to face Bonnie, Chantal's eyes narrowed considerably, "Get out of here, you witch..."
To that, the insulted girl uttered a 'hah' before smiling smugly. At that moment, she realized she was the only one left. She also knew that Professor Oobleck's class was more than a mere stroll down the hall. "Ah, Channie wai-" By then, it was too late. Chantal was already in her classroom, leaving the comments and murmuring towards the two to be directed to only one. Keeping her head down slightly, Bonnie continued on her way until she stopped at her destination. Walking in to keep from crowding the door, her head turned directly to her professor - the father of her mentor. Never in a place for more than .02 seconds, Bonnie found that she could barely keep her eyes on him. When the green haired man was in earshot, Bonnie took that ideal moment to catch his attention. "Professor Oobleck-"
At once, the man turned -more like whirred- around in a blur, facing the young lady with his trademark mug in hand. As he registered her identity, he lit up with excitement.
"Ah! Yes, yes Miss Owens, a pleasure to see you!" He spoke as fast as he skidded across the classroom -an untraceable blur. "A pleasure to see you! We don't have much time now, so let's take our seats-"
"Actually..." The girl trailed, catching him mid-sentence. "It's about that..." The girl loved the RWBY worl- the world of Remnant, yes, and she loved learning about everything that had to do with it, but to go as far as to give her honor's classes? That was death by embarrassment. Not only would she make a fool of herself, but she would ultimately draw more attention to her attire which, at the moment, turned enough criticizing heads as it was. Being the girl she was, Bonnie was unwilling to make herself a target for an "I think you have the wrong class" remark, which was why she decided to take matters into her own hands. "I think you've got me schedule-"
"Come now, the bell is about to ring!" The professor interrupted her, moving all over the room to make sure it was in perfect order for the first day. Well, perfect in Oobleck terms.
"N-no, no..." Bonnie continued to try to keep the man's mind on track even though she could barely keep up with his darts from here to there, "Profess-"
"Ah, here come the rest! Please take a seat, Miss Owens."
Bonnie was at a loss for words as a pent up feeling wedged its way into her stomach. He wasn't listening. Professor Oobleck wasn't listening. "Dude... I'm telling you..." As the bell rang, the girl had no choice but to take her seat; the seat all the way at the end of the class in the very front row. As others took their own seats, Bonnie found no one really sat very close to anyone in the small class of about 13 to 16 people. No one knew each other, and no one cared. Perfect.
"Welcome, young scholars, honors-" The black haired girl paid no mind to the coffee sipping Oobleck's speech, for she would soon be out of the classroom. "Now, this is an honors class. You all may be smart in your own right, but we need to measure how knowledgeable you are individually and as a class. That being said, everyone stand."
At once, the sounds of footsteps and disheveled sighs were heard throughout the room as everyone did as they were instructed, standing up and looking to their new professor, ready for further directions.
"Now, I want everyone to vocally answer what I read out on these cards to the best of their ability. If you don't know the answer, sit down." Professor Oobleck proceeded to dash backward to his desk and stand in front of the class, a stack of note cards in his hand.
Thankfully, the man started off with something easy- semblance control. This way, the girl would feel somewhat smart before she had to sit down. Not long after, two students went to sit down as the rest continued. As time passed, more and more people took their seat as the others went on. With time creeping right along, Bonnie found herself paying less and less attention to the students until she paid no attention at all, looking elsewhere as she answered with the remaining group. That was until, she answered once more.
"Semi-here-" The female began to answer, only then realizing that she was the only voice she heard, "A-ah..."
"Go on, Miss Owens!" Her professor urged on. "Go ahead and continue!"
The girl had half a mind not to answer, but she slowly went on. "S-semi...hereditary..." As Oobleck went on, Bonnie continued, watching Oobleck shuffle through his cards until-
"Oh," He began, looking at his notes front and back. "It looks like I've run out." He looked at his student with pride, mostly because she had managed to remember the material crammed into both she and Chantal's brains in the year and the half. "Wonderful, Miss Owens! Now as I said before," He continued with a smile. "Take your seat."
Speechless, the ebony haired female sat down, slowly transferring her blazer to tie around her waist. "...Right..."
Meanwhile, just down the hall in the classroom of Hellish Horror...
"Let me just..." Choosing the right place to sit was an important first day ritual, whether in real world or the RWBY world. That, Chantal knew. With a teacher like Port, she had to be wary of where she sat. Certainly not the first row, and teachers seemed to pick on students that sat in the back, especially knowing that they were possible work-shirkers. "I'll just take a cool middle row," She huffed, plopping down in the seat right smack in the middle of the rows and the columns. It seemed for the first time in what seemed like the entirety of her lifespan... She was early for a class.
There was never more a boring existence than a student that was early to class. She doodled on the corner of her paper, little pictures of insignificant people in an anime-styling.
Catching her attention however, she noticed a silver haired female take the vacant seat right next to her.
The girl's hair was pretty long. It was a silver color and dropped down towards waist length, seeming a little thin and stringy with lines of violet-red streaks throughout.
"Hi there," Chantal opened up, feeling the need to strike up a conversation with the girl to fill the awkward silence that was sure to sprout after a few moments of dead air. After all, this was also a golden opportunity to make a friend that could help make the class pass by a little faster and a little smoother. Besides, it was practically a free period as long as you could tune out the 'riveting' tails of Port tailing Grimm.
The silver haired girl turned her head, showing that was slightly pale, although it was lessened by the color of her more vivid violet-red eyes. It seemed similar to dropping bright colored paint on a white canvas; a pretty good complement, even if a little offputtingingly stand-out-ish. "Hello there..."
Chantal was pleased. She seemed nice enough, but she noticed the slight... alterations to the girl's uniform. Sure, she wasn't one to talk, what with her wearing the opposite gender's get up, but this girl's white shirt was probably two or three buttons unbuttoned, and the length of her skirt was quite short. Still, she wouldn't judge. There were plenty of such anime characters that did the like. Now it was just...anime in real life. "So...I'm Chantal..."
"I'm Savannah Violaine..."
'First AND last name. Oh she's fancy.'
The bi-color haired female, Savannah, looked down, rummaging through a small, silver pouch, probably for a pen or a pencil, "Let's be friends."
'That was...incredibly easy...' Chantal thought, somewhat taken aback by the sudden and straightforward offer from this Savannah girl. Still, it was comforting to know how friendly people seemed to be in Beacon, "Okay!" She offered a warm smile, nodding her head in an affirmative, "You got it!"
"If we're going to be friends and sit together like this," Gleefully proclaimed Savannah, "We should get to know each other... Maybe do something after school?"
Was it really happening? This simplistically? The brunette nodded her head, "Of course! What did you have in mind?" By now, the lecture class had begun, and the faint sound of Port's first day rambling was going to and fro in the relatively quiet classroom. She hadn't paid much attention to it, especially because she was so giddy about this sudden invitation to frienditude-
"I was thinking a darkened alleyway maybe? A narrow one in Vale that we can visit at night when there aren't very many witnesses..." She seemed so serious and genuine, even having a sincere smile as she continued as though not a thing was wrong with what she had said, "Ooh! And please don't bring your weapon. I have heard this could be fun."
"AHHH..?" Now Chantal was at a loss for words. 'Could be fun..? Seriously..?'
"AHHH..?" Savannah mimcked, looking thoroughly amused by her 'new friend's' distress.
'Now I've done it...' Chantal thought in panic, realizing she had passed up one weirdo to throw herself in the grasp of another. The worst thing here? She STILL felt as though she had wound up with the lesser of two evils. 'Come on, Bell...Ring...Ring, bell...RING!' Mentally pleading for escape that wouldn't come for quite a while, she entangled her hands together anxiously, a bead of sweat dripping down her cheek from the crush of pressure dropped on her shoulders.
